Someone scanned a suggestive advertisement for a slip-covered sofa, showing a (nude?) man and a bulldog enjoying the luxury. Read the text: there's a close-up.
A couple of drawings of two male dogs mating, seen in a Tokyo urinal. Quite anthropomorphic in terms of their anatomy, but interesting nonetheless. Thanks to Black_Dragon for this link.
An on-line role-playing game in which you're a dog. The goal is to find the stick and return it to your master. It's surprisingly involving, if a bit repetitive, and has multiple levels. Nothing zoo-ish, though. Thanks to Booga for alerting me to this link.
A photo of a male German Shepherd standing in front of a urinal. No urine stream shown, but the implication is there. :) Oh, and the web site is hilarious.
A graph comparing a dog's blood pressure with a male human's. A similar comparative chart of Heart Rate is also available. Thanks to Doglover for pointing these out. Also at the same site is a list of disadvantages to neutering. Thanks to Whitefang for that info.
Oh, this is priceless. :) If you've been wondering how to keep doggie doo off the streets, this is the product to buy, and it's for real. There are color illustrations, plus an MPEG of a dog using it (it's a 3.8 meg file, though: took 40 minutes to download). Thanks to AlphaWolf for pointing out this link!
Various links and information on canine artificial insemination and resources, including equipment and videos. Also some humorous sperm-related gift items (candles, earrings, etc.), and G-rated animal paintings. Thanks to "John" for this link.
This page, which seems to crash Netscape 4 (but works okay with Explorer 3), has a few close-up photos of equine posteriors, and some miscellaneous links. (Thanks "JP")
This well-designed website in Japan has numerous horse pictures: stallions, mares, mating, etc. They're all old news to me (mostly from the now-defunct woof.net), but if you're new out there, this site is worth a visit. Plus, the graphics have thumbnails, so you can skip the ones you already have. The text and link graphics are all in Japanese, but the page titles themselves are in English, so if you hover your mouse over the graphics, you'll be able to tell which ones lead where. There's also a page of very nice G- to PG-rated anthro equine furry art. (Thanks "ID")
A whole webpage documenting what goes on at a breeding shed. Several video grabs of mating, palpating, and teasing, but nothing very explicit. (Thanks "ID")
Pictures of mares, stallions, and mating horses. Nice! (Note: some areas were under construction the day I visited, but the stallion section is nicely...um...fleshed out. :) Thanks to TropicalWolf for this link.
Formerly known as "Modern Horse Breeding," this online magazine often has unusually juicy and technically explicit articles on equine reproduction and stallion management. The December 1996 issue had an unusually sexy article on why stallions should be allowed to masturbate themselves. Ohhh yeah. :) Archives and indexes to back issues are available. Also check out their Stallion Behavior article from the September 1998 issue.
"Horse Books, Horse Videos, Equestrian Magazines: We're The Biggest On-Line Horse Dealer In The World." Several videos on breeding, AI, and foaling; probably some books too, but I didn't check.
A detailed description of the Crump method, a procedure for collection of semen from stallions by manual stimulation of the penis while the stallion is standing. The proper term for the Crump Method, BTW, is the Modified Gloved Hand Method. Just thought you'd like to know. :)
A tasteful photo essay at the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders home page. This same site has some fairly tame pages depicting natural breeding and artificial insemination. These pages were still under construction on April 9; check back from time to time. Thanks to "John" for this link.
Lots of pictures related to cattle breeding; images tend to be large and take a while to load. Most are pathological specimens, slideshow title card scans (why?), equipment photos, or technical illustrations. The best pictures (aside from a birthing scene) are in the Breeding Soundness Exam directory. Thanks to "John" for this link.
According to Whitefang, this site "has detailed descriptions of the mating behaviour of twenty! different cat species, including lions, tigers, cheetahs... Unfortunately, the texts are in German language :-/ but for all who speak German, it's quite worth a visit." Or, in German: "Da gibt es Beschreibungen des Paarungsverhaltens von ca. 20 verschiedenen Katzenarten. Vom Loewen ueber Tiger, Leoparden, Geparden und Wildkatzen ist da alles vorhanden."
A beautifully-designed frame-intensive web site offering just about everything you'd want to know about wolves and wolf hybrids, plus gobs of links to other wolf sites. One picture of wolves mating, but it's the same one you've seen a million times.
12,000 images of animals, mostly G-rated, but they also have a fair selection from the old ftp.woof.net archive, if you search for them and know what to look for.
Animals by themselves. Access can be sluggish. A two-CD-ROM set of animal images, including a whole disc of .avi's, is available from the site maintainer.
Gary Bradshaw's detailed account of swimming with dolphins; about 3/4ths of the way down is a very good description of their self-stimulatory behavior.
ftp.woof.net -- DOWN FOR GOOD :(
A large and well-organized FTP site of erotic animal photos and line drawings; no humans involved. Thanks to Alpha Wolf of Geocities for letting me know about this link, and thanks to whoever created and maintained it: it was great while it lasted.
A similarly-defunct mirror of the ftp.woof.net site. Thanks to Stimpy of Sleepy's Forest for letting me know about this link, and thanks to whoever set it up.
"A recognized world leader in the distribution of veterinary embryo transfer and artificial insemination supplies." No pictures, but you can get a free product catalog.
A hilarious account of what you'd think would be a painful experience. Fortunately, the rhino gets the last...um...laugh. [thanks to Whitefang for finding this link]
A manufacturer of commercial, interactive CD-ROMs (for Mac or PC) all about animals. I have version 1.0 of their Multimedia Dogs: it's cool, and is up to version 2.0 now. If you subscribe to the MacWay EvangeList, you can purchase any one of these CD-ROMs for $15 (reg. $40) and get any number of their others (Horses, Exotic Pets, Cats, Bugs, or Guns) for $5 each. Great deal.
A Korean website with a searchable index of general animal pictures, with a small supply of mating photos. Try the keywords 'mate,' 'mating,' 'breeding,' etc. Frankly, the 'ftp.woof.net' and 'oberlin.edu' sites are better for zoo stuff.
