Animal Erotica (Intentional and Otherwise) in Animation

Anime (Japanese animation):

Note: entries listed as [Sci-Fi] aired on the Sci-Fi Channel and may have been edited for content. I know they took out the nudity and profanity and some of the violent content. The rental or commercially-available versions may therefore have erotic content not listed here.

Adieu Galaxy Express 999 [Sci-Fi]: N

Akira [unedited]: N (great film, though)

Armitage III: Poly-Matrix [Sci-Fi]: N

Dominion Tank Police, Part 2 (Acts 3 & 4) [Sci-Fi]: N

E.Y.E.S. of Mars [1994, Sci-Fi]: N

Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture (1994) [Sci-Fi]: N
However, they had to blur out some of the cave paintings and numerous parts of the scantily-clad heroines.

Galaxy Express 999 (1979) [Sci-Fi]: N

Gall Force--Eternal Story (1986) [Sci-Fi]: N

Iria: Zeiram--The Animation [Sci-Fi]: N

Kiki's Delivery Service [1989, Janeane Garofalo, Phil Hartman]: N (wonderful movie; exquisite animation)

M.D. Geist II: Deathforce [Full]: N

Project A-ko [Sci-Fi]: N

Project A-ko vs. Gray Side, Battle One [Full]: N

The Quest for Odin: Photon Space Sailer Starlight [Sci-Fi]: N

Record of Lodoss War (condensed version?) [Sci-Fi]: N

Robot Carnival (1991) [Sci-Fi]: N

Roujin Z (1991) [Sci-Fi]: N

The Slayers, Tape 1 (episodes 1-4) (1995) [Full]: N (though the werewolf is kinda cute)

Tenchi Muyo in Love (1996) [Sci-Fi]: N
However, I wish they'd shown more of those leonine (?) Galaxy Police: they looked like they would have been rather sexy.

Tokorozawa: I've only seen excerpts from this, and it was a while back, but the film seems to center around a male German Shepherd and his love/lust for a young female cheerleader. There are numerous scenes either strongly suggesting or openly showing bestial acts. In a curious artistic twist, whenever the dog's penis is shown, it has the appearance of a miniature German Shepherd. The excerpts I saw were in Japanese with no subtitles; I don't know if a dubbed or subtitled version is available.

Vampire Hunter D (1985) [Sci-Fi]: N
A rather gory film, though I know there are more graphic ones out there. The werewolf whom Doris faces early in the film is kind of sexy, though he's holding a bloody horse in his jaws, which wipes out the erotica. Also, the horses (both real and cybernetic) don't appear to have genitals, though I would almost have expected them to.

Venus Wars (1989) [Sci-Fi]: N

Animated Cartoon Series on TV:

Animaniacs: (syndicated, on the WB channel)
"A.C." reports: "For a kid's show, this has a lot of zoo references. In an episode where Yakko becomes king of Anvilania, the princess says "Sire?" And Yakko says: "Not right now, wait till we're alone." Also that "Moon over Minerva" skit was about as risque as they come. And supposedly there were more shower scenes that got censored."

Beavis and Butthead:
"A very special episode." In the scene where Beavis and Butthead are in the vet's waiting room, the dog in the background is drawn anatomically correct. [Thanks J.]

Family Guy: (FOX)

Johnny Bravo: (Cartoon Network)

King of the Hill: (FOX)

The PJ's: (a Foamation series on FOX, with the voice of Eddie Murphy)

Road Rovers: (Cartoon Network)

The Simpsons: (FOX)

South Park: (Comedy Central)

Stressed Eric: (a British series imported to the US in summer 1998)
In the episode where Eric buys his daughter a donkey, the animal develops an intestinal problem and Eric is shown on one or more occasions with his arm up the donkey's rectum. Also, when the animal is shown sitting on top of a moving car with his tail raised, there is a stylized anus drawn underneath. Granted, it's just a circle with an X through it, but it's a lot more than the prudish Americans usually draw.

Two Stupid Dogs: (Cartoon Network)
"I" reports: "Danny (I think that's his name) has a project for school. He brings with him the 2 dogs and when asked what his project is he responds: "I brought this dog... ermm... it's a boy-dog... here let me show you," and he grabs the little dog by his hind legs and shows him to the class. No details are shown but the class reaction is cool, everybody is stunned and surprised except a girl who smiles too strangely at the view."

Full-Length Animated Films:

(Note: Japanese anime is listed in the first section.)

Aladdin and the King of Thieves (1996, Robin Williams): N (Rajah the tiger only appears for a few seconds at the end.)

All Dogs Go to Heaven (1989, Burt Reynolds): N

All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 (1996, Charlie Sheen): N
IMO, Sasha rates as one of the sexiest cartoon canines around. Also, when Charlie asks Sasha what qualities she would look for in a "Mr. Sasha," and she says something like, "strength, intelligence, and breeding," Charlie replies, "I'd be good at that." Cute. :)

An All Dogs Christmas Carol (1998): N
However, when Carface (as a pup) takes a leak behind a Christmas tree, the expanding puddle is shown.

Animalympics: N
However, there are numerous rather yiffy characters, esp. Kit Mambo (a lioness with whom I'd love to marathon), Tatiana Tuschenko (a mink), Coralee Perrier (another mink), Brenda Springer (a spaniel), and Contessa (a fencing hawk). And I'll mount that pommel horse any time he or she wants. :)

The Aristocats (1970, Eva Gabor): N

Belle's Magical World (1997): N

Cats Don't Dance (1997, Scott Bakula, Jasmine Guy): N

Gargoyles, the Movie: The Heroes Awaken (1994, Ed Asner, Keith David, Bill Fagerbakke, Jonathan Frakes, Salli Richardson, Marina Sirtis): N

Gay Purr-ee (1962, Judy Garland, Robert Goulet): N

Gnomes (1980, RCA/Columbia Pictures, based on the book illustrated by Rien Poortvliet): N

Hercules (1997, Disney): N (although there is a brief yet sexy butt-shot of Pegasus as he tries to squeeze through a cave opening, attempting to follow Herc and the satyr voiced by Danny DeVito)

The Jungle Book (1967?, Disney): N (although the scene where Baloo is scratching his back seems to culminate in an orgasm-like experience for him)

Lady and the Tramp (1955, Peggy Lee): N

The Lion King (Disney, animated): lions-courting
The courtship scene between Simba and Nala is one of the sexiest in any Disney movie. When Nala licks his cheek after he lands on her, her facial expression just screams "come f*ck me." :)

The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (1998, Disney): N
For erotic tension, the romance between Kiara and Kovu pales in comparison to that between Simba and Nala in the first movie, which was much better, IMHO.

Mulan (1998, Ming-Na Wen, Eddie Murphy): N

Night of the Headless Horseman (computer animation, 1999, voices include William Macy): N (though at least two of the computer-generated horses are clearly male)

Oliver and Company (1988, Dom DeLuise, Billy Joel): N
Rita's only "sexy" during her musical number, and while Georgette has several sexy vamps, including her opening number when she teases the local dog population, she's too vain and stuck-up for my tastes.

The Plague Dogs: (a movie based on the book by Richard Adams)
"[This film] is full of very anatomically correct animals (dogs, sheep, a fox, and maybe more), ... though they all seem neutered...."

The Rescuers Down Under: N

Robin Hood (1973, Andy Devine, Roger Miller, Peter Ustinov): N
Both Robin and Maid Marian are in the form of foxes, which is a fitting choice: the slyness of Robin, and the foxiness of Marian. Too bad they never had any "good" scenes together. :)

Rock-A-Doodle (1992, Glen Campbell): N

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Movie (1998, John Goodman, Whoopi Goldberg): N

The Secret of NIMH (1982, Elizabeth Hartman, Dom DeLuise): N (Mrs. Brisby is quite cute, though, and I think she and Jeremy would make a cute couple.)

The Secret of NIMH 2: Timmy to the Rescue: N (Timmy's girlfriend is not as cute as Mrs. Brisby, who is now showing a little gray)

Independent Cartoons or Other Animation:

(Entries marked with an "S" are produced or promoted by "Spike and Mike's Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation" or some other aspect of Spike and Mike's efforts to preserve and promote independent cartooning. All should be available on video.)

Baby's New Formula by Arron Springer (Cal Arts) -- S
A cat is asked to babysit while the parents are away; he discovers that the infant's suckling tendencies can be put to good use.

Creature Comforts by Aardman Animation -- S
An excellent film. I recall only one zoo-ish scene, where a hippo (?) takes a dump, but I haven't seen it in a while, so there could be others.

Dog Pile -- S
A man tries to keep the neighborhood dog from dumping on his lawn. In the sequel, the dog gets his revenge.

Horndog -- S
A dog discovers the joys of licking himself, and winds up humping everything in sight, from legs to teddy bears to the Thanksgiving turkey. It's important to listen to the voice-overs in the trailing credits: that's half the joke.

Pink Komkommer -- S
An innovative series of eight short films by different animators, all using the same soundtrack. There is human-animal sex in at least one of them.
