Loved it!
You should be a LARPer, or at least write the backgrounds for those that do. I love your style, and the great images!

wonderful story
Wonderful story. I really enjoyed it. Excellent discription of how various cultures can view things differently. Well done.

Very well executed, as usual, Bradley. I enjoyed the parallel universe setting. |

Quite an interesting story.
This story had me wondering, confused, and asking if you knew where you were when you wrote this. Everything seemed to be a reality, but all in different time periods. Satellite television, slaves, excellent use of words when speaking... However, after a bit more reading, the fictional story line dawned upon me. Very interesting story. Very good writing. |

Oh dear.
I was quite confused as well. You talked about it being the twentieth century and then went on about America's state of independence, or rather, its lack thereof and pornography on television. It was a lot to take in, politically and socially but I do believe I enjoyed it. I vouch for Nicholas, though. He seems to have more spirit, more zest in him than the Yves fellow. And the protagonist should be taken down from her high horse All in all, I'd say its a story well-written! |

Extraordinary.
A remarkable piece of writing bringing together colonial--post colonial history with erotica. Very interesting story line and conclusion. The gardeners tools seem to bring Hedonists down to earth---even in Eden. Suggests the garden and the snake. |

It was Umbras illustration of Creamfields (written by Bradley Stoke) that first made me sit up and say Wow! Not only is the picture beautiful in its own right, but it also is Stokes piece. The light, the movement, the atmosphere, the chaos and sexiness of the settingit is a perfect companion to the text.
I love Umbras women. You cant help but like the sex appeal of the dancer in Creamfields.

While
light on sex, this story is very emotionally evocative. There
imagery presented by Bradley Stoke's writing is amazing. You can feel
the
narrator's emotions through everything. While the ending is quite
tragic, this
is by far one of the best stories I have read on this site.

Literotica |

Wonderfully written... I
do not normally read sci-fi erotic stories, and I have no idea why I
picked this one, but I am so glad that I did. The clarity of the
writing and the depth of the main character and what he goes through is
amazing. |

What the last guy said I dont read the sci-fi stuff, but this one is excellent. I didnt get a rise out of it, mind you, but it was such a good story. Anyway, this was excellent. Id love to see more of your writing, regardless of its genre. |

Degrees of Intimacy |

Fascinating Ive read all four parts and I am intrigued by your story. Very believable characters, strong sense of place, atmosphere and a feeling of reality. You make your characters come to life vividly and emphatically. Each of them are worthy of further investigations. I hope you will grant us so. Meanwhile Im looking forward to the next four degrees of this intimacy. |
||||||||
Brilliant writing in a story so engrossing I wanted more. I enjoyed feeling like I was there in all those different exotic countries and settings. The characters are each unique, well developed, and interesting. The relationships and the sex scenes were very satisfying. I would pay for a novella like this, but it was free. I will look for more from this excellent writer. |

Good for you. Good for you. At first I thought you were going to end it with Diana converting to Christianity. Thank goodness you didnt. It was a hot story and a sad tale. Thank you for presenting the Gods with compassion, especially the fair Aphrodite.
|
||||||||
Riveting story Very elegant writing! Your characters are fully fleshed-out despite (I think) the difficulty in keeping them from seeming like caricatures, or otherwise 2-D characters. One of the things that makes this story so smooth is that you were very faithful to Diana's POV, and I experienced it all through her. Good job! The mood and atmosphere you created were perfectly matched to the story, and all the erotic parts were very much an organic outgrowth of it, not gratuitously stuck in there. Thank you for submitting this! |
|||||||||
What an interesting, and in many ways, perplexing story. I am not sure exactly how I feel about what you have written, but I admire the way you have handled this meeting of the old and the new religion which would so soon go on to conquer the western world, carried by ordinary people to the furthest extremes of the Roman Empire. You also caught the very essence of Christianity, with its message of new life for ordinary people. |

An
excellent piece of erotica. The characters were varied and well
described. The group scene was left hanging but the imagination filled
the gaps in! And as an IT geek myself I'm made up that Nigel was the
star of the show (although some may debate that). Maybe he'll think it
over and come to the next party; I'd like to read that story. . |
|||||||
Well written and fully developed. Poor Nigel. I wonder if he was going home to his mother? Looking forward to reading more. . |
