McCloud might be an official part of the StarWolf team after his embarrassing defeat, but in way more of a cheerleader or housewife capacity than a fellow mercenary. At first this was a deeply humiliating way to rub in his "inferior" pilot status, but over time, the lifestyle and strangely affectionate attention has really grown on him. So it's happened... well, been happening. The sketches are piling up faster than I can address them. I have to change this tier for the better so that I can feasibly catch up. Next month, the Deluge tier will function differently. I will still finish each and every single sketch that is owed so far, but it may take a while. I appreciate how patient and supportive you guys have been about this. Truth is... sketches aren't the "fast but worthy" reward I had hoped they would be. I tend to dwell and overthink and before I know it I'm far behind. Something has to change.

But change into what? I want something new for the Deluge tier that will be worthwhile without putting me in a position where I'd fall behind again. I've given it some thought with the help of some of you guys, and this is what we've come up with.

Next month I want to start the "Box of Suggestions" exclusive only to Deluge tier supporters. This will replace the current Deluge tier reward. The result I am hoping for is something that can be more interactive and engaging while also being structured in a way that's easy for me to stay on top of.

To boil it down: Each week, every Deluge tier supporter will get a chance to suggest anything they'd want me to draw. Each weekend, I will pick a few of my favorites from these suggestions and sketch them out for everyone to enjoy via Picarto Stream. This really takes the guesswork out of "what to sketch" for me. They will then be uploaded on Patreon the next day. Deluge tier supporters do not have to be present on the Picarto stream to get their idea drawn. As long as you are a deluge supporter who's left a suggestion, I will be sure to read it and give it some thought.

The suggestions will take place via Discord. Monday will start the new week giving you 5 days to leave a suggestion. Friday is the deadline. I will have a checklist of all previous month's deluge tier pledges.EDIT: You must have 3 weeks paid in the previous month to qualify for suggestions in the next month. This is to make things fair for the other tiers who pay consistently for each weekly upload vs single week per month supporters in the Deluge tier.

But there's more:

One of these sketches will be made into a full colored featured Patreon upload. (probably the first upload of each next month)

-This is not a raffle. Your suggestion matters.

-Popular demand carries weight too. Same ideas asked by multiple deluge tier supporters are more likely to be seriously considered.

-I will try to maintain Deluge tier sketch day streams on Saturdays, but this is not set in stone.

-I will still continue to work on catching up with all outstanding deluge tier pledges. (that means if I owe you a sketch, you will still get it)

-I will also change the Deluge Tier limit to 50 instead of 40 starting in September. I know it's currently been sold out.

Hey guys. Just a quick list of updates and changes on the whole setup going forward.

1. For Deluge tier: If you have 5+ months of sketches I owe, you have the option to trade 5 months for 1 character commission, full color + background. Please contact me via here, or discord if you're interested. You also get to determine what I draw unlike the sketches. If you have 7 months, I can make it 2 characters if you want. I am determined to make this up to everyone and I've properly organized every single deluge supporter who's paid with expectation of sketches and have counted exactly how much I owe for each.

2. You can only get a deluge tier sketch per month if you pay 3 weeks worth of updates or more from here on out. It's not fair to people who consistently pay 4 weeks worth of updates in the 4 dollar tier while some in the deluge tier can pay just 1 or 2 weeks worth and get a sketch.

3. Considering a character AMA instead of a comic for my first goal. (which hasn't been reached yet) In general I'd like a more consistent showcase of OCs with a more focused and consistent narrative situation.

4. If you would like your character featured in a Patreon upload, I would like to make that possible somehow. (more info on this will be shared when i figure something out) Just something to consider.

5. I've been lagging behind a lot on my time lapse uploads. I tend to forget to record when inspiration hits me... and when I do record I tend to lose the file or due to the shoddy video editing program i'm stuck with...don't really have the energy to edit and produce a video on top of all other things i'm doing... Lame excuse, but i'm seeking a better video editing alternative along with coaching for my workflow and overall habits.

Thank you so much for hanging in there and supporting me in spite of my many shortcomings. It feels like I've finally defeated my longstanding depression, but my new battle should be ensuring all that I'm responsible for is given my full attention. Thank you so much once again. So it's been a few months since I started making these updates. Doctor says I've improved quite a bit, and it does really feel like the worst of the depression is behind me. Though there are still a number of less than desirable elements of my life that probably contributed a great deal to my sudden and severe episode... mainly isolation.

I live with my boyfriend, and he's been so wonderful taking care of me during this rough episode of our lives. Unfortunately, we both suffer from a lack of social placement in spite of our handful of friends in the area. We are self employed so many of our days are spent in our apartment while we try to make ends meet. For the most part, this makes a lot of our days very monotonous and shut off from the world. Internet interactions are very important to us, but we cant neglect face to face friendships as much as we currently do. Meeting some furs out in the area might be good.

Maybe I wont fall into such a deep and hopeless feeling depression again now that I know what my body was lacking, but I miss my family a lot, and feel my willingness to leave most of them 11 years ago, (though necessary) could have been a tad presumptuous.

We are planning a much more physical lifestyle, looking into fishing and plenty of gym time along with more plans to BBQ regularly.

The best news is that it feels like I'm almost 100% again. Thank you so much for your support. You literally made it possible for me to seek the medical help I needed so I could properly steer my situation around. Additional good news is that my blood pressure now reads as perfect, and an examination of my blood revealed that I'm very balanced and healthy for the first time in my life. To think 5 years ago I was diagnosed with hypertension and pre-diabetes. Thank goodness for diets that actually work. I still cant believe it works.

There's a lot I have to learn about life still, and throughout my 20s I've neglected a lot of my humanity thinking I could live beyond the need for family, face to face friendships, sunshine, etc. What a silly mistake. ^^;

Sleazy red light district space station colonies all over the system. Poor Fox hardly remembers how to pilot an Arwing anymore these days. Being paid to gun down other pilots really doesn't pay what it used to. Never hurts to diversify your skillset I guess.

So the Doc turned out to be very helpful and patient and easy to communicate with. The good news is that hopefully we can figure out what's been wrong with me these past few months... The bad news is that we kind of found nothing so far. Though it is actually good news considering:

1. Blood pressure is perfect

2. EKG came back good.

3. Blood tests all came back perfect. (only my cholesterol is a tiny bit low???)

4. I am apparently quite healthy at first glance.

Unfortunately, I don't feel healthy at all. Anxiety attacks still hit me 4 out of 5 nights, and I struggle to breathe at random times throughout the day. I've been told to hang tight while more tests are ordered/being set up. So for the time being we're just getting started. Thankfully my doctor is wanting to investigate what may be wrong with my stomach and organs, instead of jumping to the "brain problem" conclusion. I do hope the problem is gut related (therefore much more directly fixable)

Thanks so much for your continued support, and I apologize for the lack of sketch updates this month... It's been... hard. I'm going to suspend sketch updates for the next two months or so , that I may have time to catch up on those of you who are still supporting me at such a high tier. I may change my reward system entirely for next month as well... Not sure what I should do though, but I would be open to suggestions.

Hey everyone, thank you for your continued patience with me as I work through various situations that have slowed me down in the past couple of months. For those of you who will stay supporting me at max tier, I will double your sketch reward for the month of April. [EDIT: in addition, i will finish March's sketches for all max tier supporters period.] I apologize for the shaky handle on this particular reward delivery.

It's been a rough couple of months since October, when this whole health situation began. Panic attacks, fatigue, breathing issues, and now severe waves of depression... These have all felt very external however, like my brain's optimism is being overridden with a terrible situation in my body. I am finally seeing a doctor (of the primary care Physician variety) on April 3rd, and will keep you updated.

I've improved my situation a decent amount by using the gym nearly every day, in addition to a few diet tweaks that might be helping? it's hard to say, and a doctor's examination would help clear any fog...hopefully.

I really want to thank all of you who support me. I cannot overstate how much i appreciate it. You've made it possible for me to afford health insurance, and receive proper treatment. With this, hopefully a very fast improvement of my health situation will follow, which will directly affect quality and quantity of my art. (and my life overall) There's nothing I can think of that I'd rather be doing than improving my art quality and entertaining people in the process.

Thank you guys first of all for being so darn patient with me. Just wanting to fill you in real quickly about my situation.

Went to the doctor a few days ago and got labs done. The good news is that so far, it looks like my vitals are in really good shape. Heart, lungs, and liver check out. The bad news is that my situation with my stomach, and the depression/anxiety combo I've been dealing with is still as mysterious as ever.

I'm now in the process of securing a primary care Physician, while also researching some options for testing that may pinpoint my problem. Hopefully from physical approach first. I get that depression and Anxiety is seen as a mental situation, but i don't want to make the mistake of ignoring the body's role in one's mental well-being as so many people tend to do. Hopefully they do find something soon, and I can return to normal productivity. In the meantime. I'll be doing my best to balance things out with good food, yoga, and lots more water.

For the next few days I'll be afk (visiting friends who want to help me get out of my funk) So hopefully some fresh air and good company will heal me a good deal. I intend to be back on the 27th, and will probably upload the remainder of the work for the month of February.

It's been another tricky month for drawing. Thankfully my health has been much better than before, and I've been able to finally focus. A quick trip to the clinic found nothing wrong with my heart or lungs, but it turns out I may have been suffering such a long list of symptoms due to a vitamin deficiency problem. My genes have strong ties to the southwestern region of North America, going very far back. My SoCal life had included a lot of home grown and home cooked foods with minerals that may not be so present in Midwestern Walmart vegetables. Pair that with a lack of iodized salt and I may have given myself a reasonably bad thyroid situation. I dont mean to ramble about health issues, and "at a glance" theories from the quick visit to the clinic, but the vast improvement of my physical situation might at least be correlated to a daily dose of vitamin supplements. Hopefully this trend continues and I can get back to working on all cylinders in no time. Thank you so much again for your ongoing support. I have about 25 Patreon reward sketches on paper that i'm scanning and prepping for upload soon. and another 25 "daily" sketch slots waiting for me next month to fill and upload on Twitter perhaps. Moments of sincere male bonding are always short lived. Sometimes a guy can never quite get used to certain changes. Not that the shock of reality is ever unwelcome in regards to this.

I'm scheduling to visit the doctor now that I finally can. However, there have been a few interesting developments that I hope will allude to a much less severe final diagnosis.

About a week ago, we find that our hallway washing machine/dryer area had a ton of nasty black mold growing behind them. The very next day, we had maintenance bleach and thoroughly clean the area, and since then my breathing has dramatically improved each day. Today I feel almost completely fine, and have been able to focus and draw with a clear and happy mind as a result.

1. I still plan to see a doctor for a full health update this month.

2. I want to have our air quality tested. It could simply be that my health had been severely impacted by an allergic reaction to a growing mold problem. (or at least partly affected by it)

3. This year I am going to get a lot more fresh air. As soon as the weather warms up, we'll have our windows open much more often, and longer walks + more time outside will be nice.

I would have had something a little more varied done by now, but I've not been well, and drawing has been a challenge while I endure this health situation. Hopefully things settle down for me soon, Thanks again for your care and support.

For the past month and a half I've been suffering from a gradually worsening issue with my health. It always starts with a painful pressure in my esophagus and stomach leading to mild to severe difficulty breathing, and a severe anxiety almost every single night. Sometimes this leads to fainting. I am awaiting my health insurance policy to kick in around January since I was unable to qualify for a sooner date.

It's a lot like when your PC or car just decides to stop working, and you have no idea what's wrong, so it's extremely frustrating.

A quick visit to the (still expensive) local clinic was at least able to rule out my heart and lungs being the origin of the issue. Though a proper series of tests is always recommended, it at least "looks" like the problem could be related to other organs.

These last few troubling weeks have been partly why I've been so quiet for so long. I tend to have the "might get over it any day now" mentality, so I wait, and wait and wait. It's not getting better though, and I hope you guys can remain patient with me while I remain patient about my current lack of insurance. I'd love for a doctor to simply tell me what's wrong. Right now my best guess is that my stomach has decided to visit the ol heart and lungs... and it's really cramping their style every time I eat even the smallest meal, leaving me with lots of pressure and pain.

I will keep you guys updated on my situation, and will let you know whatever the doctor tells me in January. Unfortunately as a side effect of the pain and inability to breathe, I cant spend too much time working on art as it's extremely difficult to focus.

If the volume of work, and quality seems lacking this month, please know I am trying my best. I cannot afford to just give art a break during this rough time. I understand if some of you want to bail, but for those of you who continue to support me: Thank you for your understanding and patience.

After much thought, and desire to improve the flow of my weekly content, I decided to revise some of the reward setup. Hopefully this will be more informative and direct. I had to get rid of the Character AMA because getting into the mentality of it was difficult, and having more content to draw required more time than I had, considering all the other stuff going on. I may pick this up later, but for now it's best to leave out of the reward tier.

Instead I want to focus on introducing a discord server for supporters to have a much clearer line of communication to me. In addition, I would love to upload some weekly polls for future content. Thank you so much for your support. This all kicks into effect next week. (most of it's the same)

For everyone who paid the max tier, who's not received sketches for any number of months that they have been supporting me, will get 2 sketches each month starting on September 1st until they are eventually caught up. This only counts for the months that were given max tier. sketches will continue to roll in regardless of someone's current support tier, in order to make up for the max support sketch gaps they may have. In addition, the quality will be more suitable for the title "sketch" as they will be completed much more quickly and with a much more fluid and hopefully expressive style.

I really cannot overwhelm myself with this, and I apologize for falling behind so far in spite of how strongly you continue to support me. I am well aware that I have issues with providing work in a timely manner. In general, I often struggle to meet expectations and goals.

IRL drama and family issues have been pretty out of control lately, but I dont want that to impact my online life more than it has to. This is supposed to be a fun place to visit, and I intend to improve it. My health has been progressively better, and it's been easier to spend more energy per day focusing on art than ever before. I want to take advantage of that now.

Thank you for allowing me to make up for my failures. I just really need to learn how to pace myself.

I'm really not going to be able to keep up with sketches if i'm sticking with the quality and time requirement that I've initially given them. I really hope to release more without any hiccups due to not having the time. They will be more... well... sketchy. They are called sketches after all, and I've spent far too much time giving them my lineart quality... a mistake that I hope to undo without making too many people upset.

Those of you who have supported me at 8 dollars a week, I really thank you. Especially if you've stuck around this whole time. I want to ensure that you get your money's worth, and i'm trying to figure out how to pull that off. I'm going to stream some sketches today. Thank you so much for your continued support in spite of my often sporadic upload method. The situation with my family has not been resolved yet, but it has moved forward at least. I have content in the works for you, but as of right now I'm trying to deal with a family crisis on top of a separate financial crisis. I don't know if this is the right place for it, but I seriously have no idea who to turn to for help. If anyone has legal savvy, connections, or any kind of advice for trying to defend a family member in the state of California, I would greatly appreciate it.

My father has absolutely no criminal record, and he is being accused of violent conduct by an unknown party. A week ago, he was cornered at an intersection by an aggressive driver who then threw objects at his car. Uncertain what this aggressor or aggressors would be capable of, and worried for his life, he had to nudge the aggressor's car in the process of making a safe getaway. He then managed to lose the aggressor. Unfortunately this problem was not over for him, as he ended up arrested three days later, charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

So far he's had to pay 3,000 dollars for bail, and it appears further charges may be on the horizon. A public defender is all he can afford, and I am completely unable to help as my own financial situation is particularly bad this month (thank you student loans for keeping me down)

I know my father. He's driven me around for almost 18 years of my life, and he is an exceedingly careful driver. Safety and patience are two of the most important things for his driving philosophy. He does not deserve any of what has happened. The targeted and out-of-nowhere aggressive behavior of those who attacked my father in addition to the legal mess that followed makes it feel as though this may have been racially motivated. As of right now, we are simply unable to know for sure what has caused such a reckless and aggressive attack.

Again, I am not certain if this is the appropriate place for it, but if anyone has any know-how, connections, advice, or even some charitable donations, it would be greatly appreciated.

Working on the backlog today. I'm wanting to upload a whole bunch this weekend from previous months as well. Also, the additional content for last month is almost complete. I think putting it all together in a few large unpaid updates will work nicely.

New ideas for content that will be made available to you guys as well. For instance, I am starting to record my drawing efforts, and would like to make fully voiced few minute long commentaries available instead of my current PDF format. I'm excited to get that off the ground and the rewards will reflect this improved format.

Unfortunately I've been pretty sick with something that seems like the flu, and am now currently in the process of setting up some sort of temporary insurance so I'll have a doctor to visit sooner rather than later. But thankfully illness doesn't happen to me very often. I'm doing much better today and am certain we'll have plenty of time until the next medically induced art hiatus. (typically years)
