Mods are unrestricted on /b/. Having been banned (until march 1st) myself, I have to say in retrospect, we shoulda seen it coming. The threads were absolutely non-stop. /co/ is another matter; I don't see any reason in bans happening there aswell.

I find it interesting how all of a sudden there are pony relate bans, yet /v/ now has a rainbow background with that song from Robot Unicorn Attack playing. Double standards, moot?

Okay, for all the people saying it's the "old ponies" who got us banned, I disagree. I think it was just the most vocal newponies who did it; not to mention butthurt mods.

I'm glad I heard about ponychan before yesterday too. Although I guess my 4chan ban will give me time to organize my pony folder. :D

I came to 4chan from GameFAQs and I'll admit I've talked smack about the GF mods but as of yesterday I take everything bad back. 4chan mods are seriously 1000 times worse.

I've been browsing the site for 4-5 years now. I found ponies on /co/ late last year, I understand many of you here are actually our fellow /b/ronies, yea? First off, let me say any "revenge" stuff? Not worth it, we're more mature than that and you can see the best thing to do is just reasonably make a note of that mod.

Second? To hell with the site anyway. I frequent /v/ and /co/ while up until the pony thing /co/ was fine (then many of the users became massive dicks and overreacted to the craze) the OTHER board has seen nothing but a decline in quality. In fact every board has had some dip in quality recently.

What amuses me more is that it wasn't CP or Gore any any of the usual bannable stuff that set the current run of mods off... it was My Little Pony. A colorful, happy family/kids show.

If what you're saying is true (I find it hard to believe any chan-lurker would willingly admit they were from GameFAQs), then I strongly urge you to reconsider. This is an exception to their behavior rather than the rule. /b/ mods sometimes get ban-happy, but the "no rules" rule equally applies to /b/ mods as it does to /b/ posters.

As for /co/, I'm completely and totally shocked at this behavior and have NEVER seen anything like it in my years of posting there. Not even in the blackest pits of Avatar days, not even when the board was flooded with the shippiest of ship wars after the series finale snubbed the Zutarians so hard, have I seen mods act like this.

My guess? A mod who normally contains himself to /b/ started thinking he has the same dominion over /co/. Hopefully mootykins will take him to task for it and things will return to normal. Until then, just be patient.
