Alright, here's my interpretation of the whole fiasco over on 4chan, if I may ask fellow bronies, just relax and listen and try to understand. First of all, the matter isn't about who's "right" or winning some battle or proving a point... because from what I've seen everypony had some negative part to play in this. First, the "haters". Was the paraspriting, spamming, and elaborate plots to "take down" fans of a colorful family show wrong and immature? Yes, it was. As the mod on /co/ stickied the threads that have been popping up that are trying to gloat over the recent banning are just as problematic as what everypony who didn't like the show saw, it only fuels unrest, drama and hate. Bronies, however, also overreacted. Is it bullshit that you can't discuss the show on a random board or board dedicated to cartoons? Yes. But the mod's reasoning for the ban wasn't the show itself, it was apparently the unrest it caused on the site. Moderators are chosen to keep a site's rule enforced, yes, but they're also there to keep the general userbase appeased and quell things when they get out of hand. The reaction, spamming all the generals? Yes the haters were wrong when they said we spammed before because we DID TRY TO keep everypony in one thread... however by countering the bans with this spam all it did was reinforce the argument of why this is happening in the first place. More importantly I'm sure most of us want to bring more people in to watch the show with us... acting just as immature as the haters however only paints a more negative image of us fans instead of reinforcing us as polite, accepting or what have you. Finally, the mod/mods themselves were wrong to an extent. The bans were handed out without notice, no warning, no reasoning. One of the mods should have made a sticky explaining exactly what it was they were looking to ban people on to avoid confusion... and also why it was so problematic from their point of view. In due time I'm sure you'll be allowed to talk about and post about the show safely on /co/ and likely even /b/ (it is a crazy place after all!) again, until then just be patient. Is the entirety of the situation BS? Yes. Most of us probably love the show because it's largely against this drama and stupidity and just want something fun to enjoy. HOWEVER, spamming, attacking from BOTH parties only causes more problems than it fixes. It's just a fun, very well made family cartoon everypony. There is no need to cause drama or argue or get widely upset over some dumb things going on over a website. There's this site right here, we'll get the word out on synchtubes and Equestria Daily and for any other bronies that are looking for a place to relax, have fun and chat about a show they love. So I'm asking fellas please just take this into consideration, move on, and have a good time.
