Nope, it was just a suggestion. I think you admins should communicate via email about the possibility of a merge considering ponies are now banned on 4chan. Whether ponychan become part of fimchan or fimchan becomes part of ponychan, I think it's important that we fans have a single place to keep up with the show now that we've been kicked out of our original home.

Makes sense to me. One half could at least host the site and the other half could host some of the boards or something. There's no need for 2 sites when you can distill the magic into one.

I was discussing this over at FiMchan, and the majority of the complaints are "baww /b/ bronies and /co/ bronies can never get along!" I say bullshit, friendship is magic, but I'll cross-post this:

I think a merger would be really nice, personally. If anything, to keep me from having to go back and forth between two sites constantly. If the /b/ and /co/ bronies ACTUALLY wind up that divided within the chan, there can be separate general discussion home boards for both - otherwise, keep the fanart, fanfics, etc boards singular - it just makes it a lot easier to browse through content.

friendship network: ponychan, fimchan, and the upcoming ponybbs... eventually. i mean take a look at the rockstar network. desuchan, mikuchan, konatachan, they work well. why can't we? i mean we're based around this.

I actually didn't know that ponychan.net existed when I made fim.413chan.net.

If a merger is possible and has popular support I'd be okay with it, and would be willing to migrate my custom features (named uploads, spoiler/nsfw tags, etc) to whatever the final location may be. The other option is that I can set up a script which will syndicate ponychan and fimchan threads into a single view (obviously posts will still have to go to one or the other).

Currently browsing both boards.

I have a massive amount of server resources at my disposal, but i've never used them for pony because there was never a need.

I noticed that ponibooru is slightly shitty (ok, its REALLY shitty) so i was planning to just provide a searchable data source for both pictures, video and written stories, but that was before the great /co/ slaughter.


I can have a chan up in a couple of hours, or even custom coded stuff in a couple of days.

I'd love to see a merger happen. I think it's important to keep the whole community as close together as possible. Not to mention, it would be a real sign of FRIENDSHIP, and that's what we're striving for, aren't we?

Honestly, I feel dividing a fan/userbase is a bad idea. MLP is huge right now, and can keep both boards alive and thriving, but that might not be so in the future, and division will hasten the death of this weird little corner of fandom I've come to enjoy so much. Both sites have their strengths and weaknesses, and each has different specific boards that are great fun and may or may not even overlap. I'd rather see all of the content, and all of the bronies in one place.
