I guess I kinda feel like I represent the few of us, lets call us normal pony fans.
So far as I've seen every brony seems to be a borderline furry, full on furry, or somehow sexually involved in the show or content related to the show...

doesn't feel good, I'll say that much.
In all honesty I've been contemplating quittin the whole damn thing cause of it.

what exactly are the rules about this whole porno or even sexual related pictures..?
I mean we can call it art, but in all honesty a spade is a spade. And it's obvious what people's intentions are...
I guess I'm not asking for it to be changed for one small persons specifications,
but there's more than enough places for this kind of thing for these kinds of people.
surely one place can be sacrificed? that can't really be a purpose of this site...

I'm not sure where you're getting that idea. As far as I can tell, 98% of us here are *not* furries. And pretty much everyone here tells the 34-hunters to go look elsewhere.

Go look at the names in that thread, and then go look at the front page of /pony/. Not the same people at all. In fact, the guys from the /art/ thread barely ever even come here. The people who do hang around here just love the show, no hidden undertones :)

I'm personally not a fan of that stuff... I was just trying to be open-minded by allowing it, but in the end I run this site for you guys, so we might as well discuss it and find a common opinion.

in my opinion, the idea of nude 'art' or sexually suggestive pictures related to the show should be gone. There's more than enough places for this sort of thing, anyone is free to go there. There's no need to post it here.
It's like starting a 'porn thread' on /b/, there's no point when the entire internet is right there for you...

Personally, I don't care either way when it comes to artistic nudes, as long as they're kept on /art/. (Cause I never go on /art/ hehe) As far as furry stuff and MLP porn goes, I think we should keep it off ponychan.

I would suggest a separate board just for nudes, but I think that would just send the wrong kind of message. As far as I can tell, you've remained pretty neutral in the matter Orange, and a separate board would seem like you were endorsing nudes.

I've got nothing against nudes. As long as no genitals are shown I'm ok with it. Breasts are ok, I've never understood the obsession with breast as sexual objects and the weird reactions some people have towards e.g. public breastfeeding.

I can't clop to the pics in the art thread, they are just funny imho. Though, I've got some furry tendency but I go for something more hc loli/shota material.

So I'm ok with it, but think we should keep them one thread. On the other hand, if it would be disallowed it wouldn't be that big a thing for me. I'm just wondering where the line would be drawn, there are just so many borderline cases, would it lead to some really funny stuff being dissallowed just because it's too suggestive to some people.

Porn and 34 aren't allowed. There will never be a /nsfw/, and posting that shit anywhere on this site is a bannable offense. That much is set in stone and will never change. (How's that for neutral, Storm? heh)

We're just discussing whether to allow artistic nudes. To be honest, I'm leaning towards no, but I figured I'd ask the community first. If nopony besides the good Dr. here is willing to come out and state a firm opinion, I'll just put my foot down and delete it.

I still see no reason why a compromise can't reached. Having a NSFW board ensures that a lot of this material gets kept separate from the general content. Those people who have varying levels of interest in porn-related/NSFW material would have a place to freely post it while those that want nothing to do with it can just ignore the board altogether and pretend it doesn't exist. Neither experience is ruined and those that want to go back and forth between the two, can.

I'm not saying that I personally want a NSFW board. But a lot of us (I'm assuming) came here from /b/, so it's hard to expect that interest in NSFW content wouldn't carry over too, as we've seen from a couple of posts so far. I'm not saying that we should turn ponychan into a new /b/, just that we allow some people to have a quiet space off in the corner to /b/e themselves. True, there's probably tons of MLP porn all over the internet, but that's not the point. Anyone can go off and clop to porn by themselves, but it's a different kind of experience when users come together and share content (that sounds sick, I know, but it's the truth and also why /b/ is so popular).

Now, again, I'm making the assumption that (a) most of us are /b/tards and (b) there are some that are interested in MLP sexually-explicit material. Perhaps we should put that to the test first before a decision is made, in the form of a poll or something. If it's really just one or two people, then I say let's not change what we have going for us by introducing things that will disrupt that; make it clear we are SFW. Otherwise, I think the MODS should take into careful consideration the makeup of Ponychan's userbase.

These aren't my personal opinions, but I just thought I'd play devils advocate and maybe speak up for a couple of people that might be embarrassed (since this is kind of an uncomfortable subject, surprisingly). Whatever the MODS decision, I don't plan on leaving anytime soon :D

this thread seems to have started with a ton of various topics on hand... I'm gonna ignore all the furry vs 'normal' stuff, and what not and stick to what I think should be allowed as for posting

there's a definite line between "adult" and "rated R" in almost all cases... leave the adult stuff somewhere else... the rest only in /art/

beyond that... if people want to do OC, cross overs, traces straight form the show, or even full anthro versions of any relevant character... I think it should be allowed... in /art/ :P
