I'm working on a game with Derpy Hooves as the main protagonist.

For more information:
github.com/AcidAndGrit/Derpy-Delivery/wiki

For those interested it can be downloaded from:
http://github.com/AcidAndGrit/Derpy-Delivery

I'm going to try and push a new version commit every other day, so keep an eye out!

Although I have the programming and graphics covered I am not musically inclined so if anypony is willing to offer some original tunes that'd be fantastic.

There's nothing much right now, but seems really nice :D
I've spend some time to get it running (have to compile chipmunk and pymunk <.<), but i like it.

And i like your decision about using python and gpl license.
Keep on whit the good work :D

Can you repackage it to where it will run for an amateur coder? I haven't worked in Python much :P

Thanks!

If you're on Windows you can click the Download button and get the WINDOWS_DIST.zip, all you should need to do for that is run "run.exe".

I'm going to have binaries for Mac and Linux in the future.

If you want to run from source on any OS you'll need Python 2.6, Pygame and Pymunk. I'll look into bundling Pygame and Pymunk in SOURCE_DIST.zip in the future to make it easier.

I saw you asking for music so i threw together some stuff in a few minutes, and realized this probably doesn't match the tone of the game at all XP

At the moment I'm looking for something good to use for the title screen and the sound options menu. I'm thinking something happy and silly, for the title screen. For the sound options menu a simple, maybe 10-20 second trance/techno (I'm not savvy enough to know if there is a difference) type beat, something that DJ PON-3 might play?

I plan to have a Mac and Linux binary in the next version, so you can just download and play no matter what OS you run.

ponygame2 is a trance/electro bit.
ponygame3 parts one and two are a bit where pt2 could be looped.
ponygame4 happy / ponygame5 happy are self explanatory.
ponygame6 is a 8bit sounding track. a remix of better off alone.
ponygame v2 is the trance bit from the first thing i posted.

3pt2 works great for the sound menu. I think 5 is probably is closest to what I'm looking for in terms of the overall feel for the rest of the music in the game. Just that loop actually works really well for the first part of the intro cutscene I'm working on atm.
