Some of you know him and others know of him. He used to post on Ponychan in the old days and though he has posted on Ponyville for years, he didn't leave Ponychan at the split but got permabanned well before that time, for posting sexy Pokemons back when lewds weren't allowed here.

Last time i raised this issue, several people seemed to think it was a good idea, and the objectors mostly were unhappy about "ponyville drama". But Manley is not part of Ponyville's splinterchan drama, and few have suffered from ponyville drama like Manley has.

I asked Manley to please come post with us if the community agrees to lift his ban, and he's agreed to give us a try.

I am asking with all my heart to the Ponychan community and staff, to please join me here to discuss my proposal to lift Manley's years-old ban and let him join us.

Please welcome a good poster who creates fun threads, never spergs out like i do, and would enrich our Ponychan home.

I've lurked through a lot of /canterlot/s drama threads, and to be honest compared to this place absolutely nothing happened. Seriously that place is like super weinne hut JRs or something. Worse drama gets started and ended on this site everyday compared to ponyville supposed "drama."

Lost has made up with him, and I've promised to not bother him if he comes back to the site. If anything happens it'll most likely be backlash from people who are just generally bitter about ponyville, rather than Manley himself. If you're going to let someone like Steam stay on the site I don't think you really have a valid reason not to give Manley at least a chance.

Keep in mind that Manley was permabanned from here in 2015. That was nearly half a decade ago.

How many times has Steam Twist been permabanned by now, only to be given additional chances? How about Pipes? (I know Pipes is actually gone for reals now, but the dude's got a world record for most permabans and pardons from Ponychan.) Does Manley really strike so much fear into our hearts that we can't even entertain the idea of letting him back, when we've let people who have caused way more trouble back?

The circumstances of his original permaban always kind of rubbed me the wrong way as well. He caught a permaban for Pokemon lewds and the whole thing kind of struck me as just an excuse to be rid of him. Even back then, there were people saying it was BS and way too heavy handed.

And I mean, I know you guys don't pay much attention to stuff that happens on Ponyville, but lostpony and Manley have an extensive history of conflict with each other. With that in mind, the fact that lostpony of all people is advocating for him kind of says something.

Manley was banned long before Ponyville ever existed (I believe) for something that isn't against the rules anymore. His debate style isn't what got him in trouble here, and is completely within the norm for Ponychan. He only gets in trouble on Ponychan because he is now being held to a higher standard than over posters, and Ella is testifying this morning in the /canterlot thread that he has improved a lot over the years.

Much of the drama regarding Manley on Ponyville lately is because of me, and I Pinkie Promise to never make drama with him here.

Because people kept suggesting I made it a rule when I didn't want to, and felt there was no reason to. It's more of a statement than anything else, but I don't ban anyone for it. Instead of just letting it be, and moving on and respecting my wishes, they drove me to that.

That being said, /ef/ is a very hands-off board. Meaning, there will be little moderation (doesn't mean it is non-existing) as we encourage people to self-moderate. Take that as you will.

I would also like to reiterate a very important point. On the /ef/ board, I will say there is going to be some politically controversial topics and people with certain types of political beliefs. From, communism, progressivism, classical liberalism, fascism, etc. We allow people on that board to speak freely, BUT if their ideas are extreme and wrong they will generally be condemned by the community (which has happend to a user who was once a Nazi.). I think he is slowly changing his ways because of that. I think it's much better allow people to condemn or challenge people with awful political beliefs rather than outright silence them by only further pushing them to echo-chambers where they will only be further radicalized. Well, at least that's what I believe.

Of course people who call for violence or something like that will NOT be tolerated.

Should also add that /ef/ can also be used for silly discussions too. Not everything has to be so serious.

If you ask anyone on the site they'll tell you that I've been trying to move away from my more controversial side for the past two weeks. I've actually gotten extremely depressed about it, so the last thing I want to do in future is go on long National Socialist rants. You can post porn of literally anything, other than Mikies Waifu. He's really attached to Starlight and is thus extremely protective of her, meaning that you shouldn't post porn of her or insult her.
