Oh no, it's not a problem at all. It's just that it's silly to check a condition you already just checked, so if the boolean was previously false, you already know its value now, so why do another condition check? And if it was true, you do another condition check for no reason at all. Changing it to else, will improve performance, unless the compiler caught it, and generated the same code it would be creating, had you written it using else.

The network errors only seem to affect loading the boards, not individual threads. If you have a thread bookmarked you'll always be able to view it (in my experience).

I realize that this is a really late reply, but after finally getting around to downloading the app, I notice that I'm still getting errors on /arch/ and /fan/, and I suspect that it isn't entirely my/Ponychan's fault. Also, it wants me to update to the latest version of Clover, and a fork shouldn't be doing that. I can't make any guarantees that I'll accomplish much, but I might be able to make a little bit of headway on the app.
