>>18356Maybe in a post i didn't see in a discussion here, but what i mean is, the mods haven't gotten together to talk about creating and managing a board for politics though.
99% of the user base of the sites is the same, so site traffic would be the same and it would just be annoying to everyone.
So there is no point in trying to further split the community, to give you something you already have, and that the core userbase here doesn't want.
And if its a more strictly moderated place to talk about these things you're after, /townhall/ on ponyville provides a place to do that, too.
Suomi, I know you like posting long form OPs about world events and stuff, but the audience for that kind of thing isn't here, it's there.
Like I've told you before, you need to think of this as a lifestyle page in a newspaper. If you don't understand the analogy, i can make another, or explain in more detail what a lifestyles section of a newspaper was.
Regardless, 99% of the community is happy with the way things are atm, so there is no reason to change anything right now, it would do more harm than good.
