>>36833537Exactly right, which is what makes 3D animation so paradoxically flat. It doesn't have the vitality — the pizzazz and moxie — that you get with moving drawings. It's more sober, more confined by reality, more grown-up, slower, less energetic.
Cheaper? I dunno. I doubt that it's cheaper than using a tweening 2-D program like Flash, Moho, or Toon Boom Harmony. I reckon computer nerds just think it's superior because it's more like VR— and computer nerds rule the roost these days.
