First off, she leaves them behind with regret for reasons. Second off, nobody is discarded, since she goes back afterwords. If anything, she discards her human friends for her pony friends, but even that line of reasoning is severely flawed in ways I don't feel like getting into.

Generally "saving a world" is more important than hanging out with friends, yes. This is a problem, how?

Alright, so last time Twilight didn't have a choice to leave her friends behind. At all, really. It wasn't twilight, it wasn't deliberately, she didn't discard them, her friends wouldn't have been ponies, she wouldn't have done it for the sake of their human counterparts since she didn't know they existed, she wouldn't have done it for the battle of the bands because one that wasn't involved and two she went into the situation completely blind. She wouldn't have taught anyone that friends were interchangable because she was in a real fucking hurry to get back home. Getting home to her REAL friends was her entire motivation in the first movie, more or less. Not a single word of that sentence starting with "like last time" is even SLIGHTLY like fucking last time.

For me, i could feel weird, i mean, i hate EG, but i could liked Sunset Shimmer to work.

Sure the new movie probably doesnt SUCK, but at the same time it just doesnt do it to me, i have a big hate for it.

But it will probably grow on everybody. i mean, the second one probably is good enough to capture alot of people back.

and if the third one or the show do something like putting equestria in danger and now the human girls have to pay back all the "lets save the other world" thing.

And let's not forget about the after-credits scene. Why the Hell did they place Human Twilight post-credits, when they could of established her in the film itself? Are they going to set-up a showdown between Twilight and her human counterpart in Season Five or something?

sure it was just pinkie pie pulling stuff out of her ass. but it was established.

is a tease like the marvel movies.

they are going to make a movie about it, or maybe it will be for the EG show.

the point is, it probably is done so people wet himselfs, in the next movie or show, they are going to show this human twilight again, and show what is her up too.

she isnt important for this movie, that is why she wasnt established in the film itself.

She didn't go to help them win a Battle of the Bands contest, she went over to help them stop the Dazzlings. They didn't even originally want to do the Battle of the Bands thing, and would've gladly just stop the Dazzlings before it started. They only participate in the Battle of the Bands in order to be able to cast a counterspell on the Dazzlings and undo the spell they placed on everyone, and they didn't really care about winning. The only reason they participated for so long was to buy for more time while they tried to find a way to make a counterspell.

They didn't introduce human Twilight because the plot was more focused on dealing with the Dazzlings and handling Sunset's redemption. Human Twilight was used more as a sequel hook to either EqG 3 or the TV series. Right now it's not known if she'll be playing an antagonistic role or a friendly/neutral role.

She doesn't replace them. She just has two different groups of friends. It's not like it's wrong if Rarity made a bunch of friends in Canterlot like Fancy Pants. The problem only came from hiding who her other group of friends are, and Twilight's pretty open about having friends in both worlds.

And if people ever thought MLPFIM was shallow toy commercials, EG to me look alot more shallow.

i mean, you could have the other 5 doing stuff, but at the end that is not how they decided to work it.

If you are lucky maybe in the next movie the univereses are in danger to mix up, so one team have to do stuff in one side, and other team have to do stuff in the other side. and all can be fault of scientist twilight.....

that made perfect sense to me. They have an equestria girls series coming up, and they can't keep using twilight for both.

As such, they established that there was a human twilight as a sequel hook for either a third movie or the series.



The reason why they couldn't use Human twilight here was that this movie was focused on *sunset SHIMMER*; Pony twilight was needed in order to help further her progress into being the new "Twilight" of the group and essentially teaching her how to be comfortable as a friend.

This makes me wonder what Human Twilight's dynamic is going to be in the future since Sunset shimmer and twilight would be redundant unless they make twilight drastically different. (Expecting Human Twilight to be basically "Crazy twilight" and nerd out without her paragon nature, while sunset shimmer will be twilight lite.)
