What's your fanon for what stars are in the MLP universe's cosmology?

I mean, since the moon and the sun have to be physically controlled by ponies, it stands to reason that cosmic objects in their universe might not be the same as in our universe and might not be the same as the sun.


So, lets look at the journal of the two sisters for example: Luna was unable to move the stars when she first tried with starswirl tutoring on how he helped raise and lower the sun, so since Luna was unable to control them, its highly possible they might be very different from the sun and the moon (which luna and celestia can control in the others absence).


So, what do you think? Just like the sun, or cosmologically different things?

Sun is like ours, but smaller and closer. The stars are just like the sun, but really far away.

Some of those stars could have their own planets, which may or may not be geocentric like DA PONY PLANET is.

Maybe they're controlled by other beings, or the stars themselves have actual wills?

Like how in ancient christian dogma it was thought that Angels pushed the stars around, maybe each of the stars has its own sentience and moves around on its own.
(also my fanon that stars are what become of the souls of the dead in MLP and constellations are what become of the truly great ponies.)
