Hello everyone. I'm working on a Custom DVD called " A Tribute to the Fans", which is a collection of episodes that are well-remembered for their use of fan service, even if it plays a very small part in the episode. Before you ask, no, this isn't a DVD that going to be sold on the internet or something. This is a video that's going to be uploaded on DailyMotion (that'll be mirror linked on YouTube) that simulates an MLP DVD when "Play All" is selected. I have three episodes and one special feature in mind for the DVD, and I need you guys' help for the rest. And if you want to submit anything else (menu designs, or ideas for more special features), feel free to have at it. Just a reminder that the standard Shout! Factory DVD release has 5 episodes.
Alright, here's what I have in mind.
- The Last Round Up: Kicking off this DVD is the episode that cause both screams of excitement and controversy. I'm of course talking about Derpy Hooves' appearance in the episode. The DVD is going to use the original version of the episode found on "The Friendship Express", which I have a rip of (thank you Yay! Ponies), unlike the censored version where it's more subtle.
- Rainbow Falls: Once again, this will be added because of Derpy's small role in the episode, which is pretty much what most people say is the only good thing about the episode.
- Slice of Life: This episode is nothing
but fan service. The DVD will culminate in this episode.
Special feature(s):
Music Video - Equestria Girls: The song uses the word "brony" in one verse, making for a perfect shout out to the fans. I'm not sure if this got any sort of DVD release, but the music video is on the official MLP YouTube channel, with The Hub bumpers that I can easily edit out. I might add lyrics to it so it can be a sing-along like the ones that are on a few of the DVDs, though given how limited my editing software is in that department, I'm not so sure. Speaking of which, anyone know the font used in those sing-alongs? It's too curvy to be Generation B, and it doesn't have any serifs, so it's not Woodrow Regular either.
