Basicaly you you put # after you name and then something(password) the program scrambles it and the end result is unique, and only you can make it.
Thus is another psp appears and starts insulting everypony but don't have your tripcode we know it's not you.
Oh and since it's somewhat easy to break the code, most people in 4chan did a safe tripcode which is ##, but this is not 4chan so it shouldn't be necessary.
