Just wanted to post this before I slept:

I've realized how much this series and community has forever embedded themselves in not only my memory, but in my heart as well.

To everypony here; I love you all, I will never forget you. Well isn't this a nice and enjoyable topic. I as well, love each and every one of you. I know I can come off as irritable and hateful at times, but what can a shark do when he's surrounded by ponies all day? I rue the day I harm a single one of you, and I fear and loathe the thought of actually... eating one of you but that's what the personal trainer is for. This community, the series, the ponies, and many of the things we've done here will be forever in my heart.

Sometimes, when I'm a little down because of one thing or another I've seen or heard read about, I come here to ponychan and get my day brightened up a little. I'm new to Ponychan, but I just have a gut feeling that that agrees with what everypony else has said. This show and the surrounding community will stay with me forever in a way that compares to the best memories from my childhood. Being here, watching FiM has reintroduced me to feelings I thought I had lost forever.

"Love" is a strong word for a grump like me, but I can honestly say you all, as a community, have impressed me at the very least. You've gone from being 4chan regulars--the bottom scum of the internet--to being people who genuinely seem to care about each other, who feel happier and emotionally stronger, who can concentrate on the bright, the good, the pure, and the friendly, who can take part in the joy of family-friendly entertainment...you've become ~better people~. You had the show to inspire you, but I hope you bronies realize that the majority of you are more emotionally complete humans not because some ponies made you that way, but because you saw that they could and WANTED them to. You all chose to become friendly to each other and outsiders, to reach out and help others with words and empathy when they need it, to put genuine effort and enthusiasm in your fanworks of writing and videos and whatnot, to reach out to a creator and let her know that you appreciated her work for its true merits, and to send a message to anypony in the world who cares to look that quality, effort, creativity, skill, and love can still be powerfully profitable components in surprising ways for those that would care to employ them. I never join fan groups for anything--if I like something, I do so in my own company and no one else's--but you folks I'm actually excited to join and be a part of. Kudos, bronies. I was an on-again, off-again longtime /b/tard until I found ponies. That site did terrible things to me. I knew it was terrible, but I continued to subject myself to it. That convinced me that deep down, I was a terrible person who deserved my inevitable fate of ending up as a bitter lonely neckbeard. I was just sinking into a pit of misery, shame, and self-loathing.

I remember a picture that captured my feelings perfectly. It was a vertical that said something along the lines of "I hate this place but I can't leave. I'm a terrible person, I'm lonely and hateful and bitter. And I have no one to blame but myself." That last line was particularly poignant for me.

I'm so glad I found ponies when I did. I don't know what would have happened if I'd gone on with that mindset for a few more years. Thanks to ponies, I know that I'm actually not a horrible person, and I'm worth making the effort to succeed in life.

...Damn, that's the first time I've actually realized what ponies have done for me. I guess I'd forgotten how deeply I hated myself before I became a pony. I'm fairly prone to dramatic changes in mindset thanks to ADD, but I'm still amazed at how ponies turned everything around for me. A few months of ponies has fixed years of damage. Now the only reason I visit that hole is to check up on the bronies that introduced ponies to me. Cupcakes is one of my favorite people ever, eternally kind and thoughtful despite all the shit that he goes through on /b/ and IRL. And what the bronies started, you guys on ponychan completed. Thanks to you, I've lost that the illusion that an aversion to horrifying images is a weakness and that I don't have to be ashamed of what I like. Thank you all so much. <3

I just wanted to say a few words here. Words like synergy, rocket, and explosion.

I also wanted to say something to all of you. I am so very proud of you all for the kindness and love put into this community. It's incredibly rare to find a large group of people who are this kind and supportive on the internet. The fact that many of us found ponies via 4chan is a testament that maybe, just maybe, there really is good in everypony. Now, I'm just as cynical as the next person, but whenever I post on here, all I can think is nice things to say.

And for the first time in a while, I've wanted everypony to succeed in whatever they may do. I want you all to be incredibly successful. I want us all to change the world to a better place. Changing the world means changing people, and changing people is a very difficult thing to do.

But in our little corner of the internet, we're doing it. We're making it happen. Little by little and ever so slightly, we're making this little blue world better every day. This kindness and happiness spreads like a wildfire.

You're all amazing people, my bronies. No matter how many people need some reassuring and comforting words, you're always there.

And that makes all the difference in the world.
