>>2537380Oh, the paranoia from smoking and the paranoia from working weird hours and being up all night are separate things. I thought you were talking about from smoking.
I suppose they are probably stemming from the same tendency, but one is fast and hard, and the other is just a long always in the back of the mind dread haha.
Alcohol is psychoactive, but generally not considered a psychedelic, because there is no loss of ego, though, you could for sure make the argument. Nicotine is a stimulant like caffeine, the rest are not drugs at all because, though they might release dopamine from your reward center in your brain, they are not in of themselves an outside chemical interacting with specific receptors in the brain, just the catalyst of releasing a chemical already stored within it.
I see what you are driving at, and the short answer is, the definitions are loose.
From what i gather, growing them is easy, but preventing cross contamination with other fungi/molds is the hard part.
The reason they are hard to regulate is because the mushroom isnt illegal, psilocybin is, and there is a legal threshold like with THC. Hemp contains THC but isnt illegal (federally) because anything below 0.7% THC concentration is legal.
Also shrooms arnt really a "party" drug so arnt really "problematic" in that, they arnt popular with scumbags.
If your thinking of doing anything, esp something like shrooms, do research.
