As a pegasus player myself, I'd say they're right about where they should be. The speed thing is a major downer on the ground-oriented classes, but it's not as easy as it looks to zip around AND take in everything you see. I see a lot of pegasi just run straight into ambushes and the like. The strength really depends on your speed at the time you hit, so it's an on-the-move class lest you get devastated in a melee fight. And there's maybe three places in ALL the maps that let you get a decent rush to hit somepony. Keep the pegasus as it is, please.

Here's what I did before switching over to pegasus, get a Unicorn to do a Curse shield spell around you, then have them run a Blessing buff, it stops most curses and the ones that get through are usually balanced out by Blessing.

Friendship is really strong in public raids, when everypony is just glomming together anyway. Use that mark to grind for a while.

It's not much good at high levels because as a pegasus you pretty much have to split off from the other ponies to be effective. (Unless you're just there to guard your casters against aerial threats. Friendship is GREAT for that.)

My friends and I were in the instance to fight the red dragon, when one of our guys who rolled speedster just charges in and aggros the boss. We would've wiped if one of our party members hadn't specced in animal diplomacy.

I'm actually having more fun fooling around with the minigames then I am questing. Stayed up for 24 hours just bucking apples once.

Also, I need your help, guys.

Yesterday me and some buddies were doing the ruins of NMM raid and the place is littered with Poison Joke patches. The debuff on those things is humongous. add this to the parasprite swarms that decimate your equipment, we were insta-wiped at the renegade Diamond dog boss. That guy does brutal AoE damage and cowardly hides himself with burrow..

I've been looking for guides on-line, but they always ignore the issue. We plan on another attempt tonight, but I sure could use your help.

Also, I was using my pegasus speedster who could barely even move successfully after the poison joke debuff.

Get the Unicorns of the group to do a balancing buff for the poison, make sure your Friendship levels are maxed cuz that Raid's a toughie without it. Keep the Earth Ponies close to the Unicorns in case any melee's get close, and as for the DD, use a sound based spell to stun him and wail on him with the Bruisers and Tanks.

Having a Parasprite Pet stops the equipment loss but doesn't negate damage. But then you loose the buffs from better pets :(

There's no real way of beating that raid without heavy caster support and at least a six member, high Friendship team. It's just a go in and hit hard and fast. No real strategy :P

Ye didn't do the whole questline did you? I think there's a zebra npc that runs off a side path into EF, she has a quest or two, and at the end you a bunch of pots that cure the Poison Joke debuffs.

The parasprites are a bit of a puzzle, ye need to pull them WITH the manticores. The parasprites aggro onto those and they AoE them down (just keep your meele deeps, and possibly your tank depending on the healer, back during this)

Well, the problem with Zebra Casters is that their Friendship penalty causes them to offer less utility to the party.
Anti-Poison Joke potions might be better considering this - if you have the money to afford them. They're roughly 200 bits each at the moment!

Yes, but you need to align yourself first by doing the Parasprite Swarm quest in Fillydelphia, for which you need to be at least level 10.
Or well, you can pick it up earlier, but you'll need a full party to survive at that level.

Trances and Dances don't suffer.

Also, Hexing your own members with Deep Voice or Numb Tongue takes priority over poison and negates it. You'll loose some speed, but since you'll probably move in a large, slow formation relying on casting this will not be that detrimental.

It lasts longer than Immunity and takes up less MP which you can use for dealing damage.

In extreme circumstances you can use Limp Horn, but only if your Unicorn caster has no other way out.

You can capture any Parasprite in game with Sweet-sweet lemonade bottles from the 'Look at my Horse' time trial. here's the color code but the buffs aren't as great as other pets.

Blue - +5 damage against Flying + Speed Boost
Purple - 3 Magic Attack and 3 Defence Boost
Red - 3 Fire Attack and 3 Defence Boost
Yellow - Increases all stats during the day by 2 and decreases them all by 2 during the night.
Green - Increases vitality by 2 and speed in Forests or on Grass.
Turqouise - Drop rate increase
Pink - Two extra Item slots

I found a loophole, the minigame only effects you if you actually do the "Lick" action when it prompts you to do so. Granted, if you don't do this you have a powerful enemy against you, but if you manage to kill him he drops Sweet Sweet Lemonade and a few Debuff Potions.

Pegasus has a nifty starting point in Cloudsdale. Tricky to maneuver through the clouds, though.
But as soon as the flight skill kicks in, that's very easy to navigate everywhere.
Fast physical skills. Might be a drag to get through random encounters. Earth ponies got their resilience and strength and unicorns can dish up some rather potent low level spells.

Also, a griffon appears to be nice as well, having more physical strength.

But yeah, a pegasus is agile and can run through a lot. As soon as you get weather spells, things become interesting. (casting thundercloud to kill critters while staying out of reach is so awesome)

Unicorn is easiest to level because of magic and you get most of the Earth Pony skills.

Earth is easiest economy and good strength and vitality to act as tanks or get through tougher missions.

Pegasus has flight but is the more difficult to play because of the dynamics. They're more fragile but you basically get free map control.

It takes a lot of grinding at the beginning, but it gets easier.
Just go to Inventory. If you right click on the item, you can see its incompatibilities. If it doesn't work with your class, Spike has a top hat that's universal you can get from a quest.

Flight is easy. Just finish the flight instruction quest and you can pilot around. It requires a sort of gauntlet game, but with just a tad bit of practise it's really easy. Speed only comes over time, though. When you want to up acrobatic skills, you need more practice.Some of them are hard to pull off. (especially when you have to estimate distances and such)

Also, as far as the hat on unicorns goes, you just have to visit Carousel emporium shops. For a small fee they make them fit. But I agree this is a rather stupid feat that they should remove in another update sooner or later. Paraspritestia, I guess...

That's a ridiculous waste for most unicorn builds. Although I suppose it works for horn drilling.

If you're seriously doing a unicorn strength build, you'll want to take full advantage of the additional carrying capacity. You'll probably want armor (melee spells don't have cast times, so they're not affected by armor penalties) and you'll want lots of situational items/potions/etc.

I heard that characters are going to be able to train other characters in skills for a price. I think it sounds cool, but I'm worried that the skill progression will become unbalanced unless they have a specific way of exchanging bits for training or something.

Weathermancy is great PvE, but very limited in PvP. Good ponies split themselves up properly so as not to be punished by AOE, and flight-spec'd pegasi will fly rings around you.

You can zone other ponies pretty well (especially pegasi) but frankly it's more effective to roll a speedster and learn to intercept.

Learn to bank your turns and kick off obstacles mid-flight. Great way to eek out a little extra speed and avoid collisions/wall-grazing. It's a lifesaver in claustrophobic dungeons.

Well, a good weathermancy player can snipe about anypony. you just approach them hiding behind a cloud and then you boom em off with a thunderbolt. Sadly, the damage is quite of a letdown, but if you disregard any other stat, you can boost it to great potential I would assume.

As far as the DD boss is concerned, it would be great to throw him off the cliff for once instead of him throwing me. I know I'm a pegasus, but with all the poison joke, it takes great luck to flight out of there...

I've seen this done before on youtube. You carry me, I taunt them and potion/armor tank, ocassionally do a slowdown/stun attack on them as well as another attack, and you sonic rainboom in the last quarter of the race. Easy. Plus, I learned the Chief Skyhoof's bellows from the Peacemaker quest in Appleloosa. It's a really good fear effect that causes your foes to freeze in place for five seconds.

I also have Zercova's shrinkie hoojoo potions. They make me shrink (and thus reduce my size). It would slightly nerf my tanky stats, but should improve out combined speed. Plus, I checked the Shadowbolt stats. They may be quick, but compared to my character, their pansies. Straight dps and speed, hardly any hp or armor at all.
