Rich Stallion asks if he can buy it >(Successful Roll) One of the guards recognize you. Rich Stallion is able to bail you out, still under the impression that you are Lady Velvet’s kid >Rich Couple runs off to airship; tells you that you are welcome aboard anytime     >Standing outside of the Canterlot air docks, Raisin (also known as Amethyst) and her friend Sweetie Belle (Writesalot) don a clever set of disguises that have, for the most part, thrown off the guards’ discovery of their true identities. Having successfully intimidated one of the Royal Guards by playing up their false identity, Raisin now contemplates her next move with care. Knowing that time is running out, she hopes to escape the castle before her cover is completely blown.   >Alright, questers. Again, you have been given the opportunity to guide our little dried grape pony along her quest to potentially save Equestria from an invasion of living statues. Do well and this may be your final night. Do poorly… and this may be your final night.   >Good luck, Raisin Questers. May the dice be with you.   Alright, so we have to get the box somehow that involves paperwork.   Inventory check.   Always do the inventory check.   >GAME INFO: >Raisin: Fancy Dress (Diamond Moon Elegant Design Limited Edition), Fancy Horseshoes >Sweetie Belle: Fancy Dress (Hoity Toity #29), Fancy Horseshoes, Glass Jar, Parchment x3, Quills, Ink Jar (nearly empty)   I so, so wished we would have gotten Celestia's autograph. I'm sure she would have given it to us.     Even if we could get Sweetie to get an autograph now, Celestia knows she's one of our accomplices.   So if I remember the situation right, we have one guard terrified that we'll get him fired, one guard that we don't really know anything about, and an old bookkeper or something that wants paperwork before he cares at all about the chest.   I say we tell them we saw a purple filly running in the opposite direction.   We might have to. Suggest that maybe capturing her might make Celestia forgive insulting our glorious personas.   I change my vote to sending them on a wild goose chase.   Well, assuming we can do so without any ingame time passing, lets examine that other guard. Is he looking suspiscious? Bored? Scared? What was he doing while the other guard was accosting poor little us?   >GAME INFO: Examining the other guard, he appears to be an armed Royal Pegasus Guard. In all honesty, you'd say he looks rather agitated. He doesn't seem to like dealing with the old pone's paperwork at all.   >While the other, currently terrified guard was accusing you of being Raisin, he merely looked you over. You're pretty sure he's completely falling for your disguise.   Then he'd love some action.   I change my vote to sending them on a wild goose chase.   Well, if we are doing this, just randomly pointing a direction and saying we saw us over there isn't going to work so well.   First we would need to have a reason to be pointing them out, so I guess ask about the filly the guard thought we were, then mention that you saw someponies off in thataway that looked kindof like us. You know, if you removed all the high breeding and sophistication of course.   And it will need to be urgent enough to get both of them running off, without stopping to think.   >You watch as the pair of guards turn back around to convince the older pony that this dangerous White Chest needs to be moved to the Archives immediately. Subtly, you turn your head just enough to give Sweetie Belle a sly glance. Immediately, she seems to have an idea as to what you're planning. She looks hesitant, but doesn't protest.   >"Excuse me, gentleponies..."   >The one guard that previously accused you of being Raisin droops his head as he turns to face you. "...y..yes?"   >"Pardon me, but did you say that you were looking for some fillies?"   >The guard looks about. "...yes, the entire castle is currently on alert for two fillies... which..." He pauses. "Again, I'm really sorry I confused you with her..."   >"Raisin, was it? Purple coat, purple hair? Dirty mud pony?"   >The guard nods to each descriptor.   >"Why, as a matter of fact, me and my friend did see a pair of fillies down in the... East Wing... on our way up from mother's suite..." You pause for a moment, feigning a sense of wonderment. "...could they have been...?"   >The guard looks very interested now. "You saw other fillies... like yourselves... in the East Wing? How long ago? Did you see where they were heade-"   >The other guard turns around quick. "Go check it out, Thunder. I'll figure out this blasted paperwork."   >The hapless pegasus bolts off down the hallway, making a right and zooming out of view. The other guard stands steadfast by the chest, still receiving a lecture from the old pony.   >"Good thinking, Raisin!" Sweetie Belle laughs nervously around the rim of the Glass Jar.   So was it the one that was scared of us that left? Suboptimal, but still an improvement.   Ugh, that still leaves one guard.   Well, shit, that was pointless. I still think we should change dresses.     We can't. The guards at the dock already saw us and they'll no something's up. Otherwise, there's no place to change without anyone seeing.   If only the guard didn't see us.   Do you think Sweetie Belle could pass for saying she got scared and ran off before the guard could open the bathroom door?   Celestia's not stupid. But, we need some sort of paperwork somehow.   Do you all think it might be worth going into the archives and rummaging around his desk?   You said we were down the hallway that led to the royal archives?   Fuck, I bet that place is crawling with guards too.   The only alternative is forgery.   Goddammit, we should have saved one of those hints.   Well, let's weigh the options here. Celestia doesn't know Sweetie's with Raisin, and if she is captured then is it really that bad? Sweetie brings no skills to the party, other than being cute.   dont underestimate the usefulness of being cute   Maybe if sweetie goes in asking if Raisin is okay since she got scared and bolted before the guard opened the door and now there are a bunch of guards flying around? Maybe say that they were playing drawing and Raisin suddenly drew a bunch of weird symbols and locked herself in the bathroom?   Maybe Sweetie could say that if she sees Raisin she could try and tell one of the guards.   She didn't want to go to jail, how could we fail her like that?   But that would involve sending sweetie to do things on her own, which is EXTREMELY risky.   Fucking paranoia.   Very decision is horrible.   We could have also used a high ranking guard's signature, but they're all on the prowl now.   God fucking dammit, I'm sorry for suggesting Sweetie not hide under the bed.   >Tell Sweetie to go grab Celestia's autograph   >You guys sticking with this?     No.   I don't know.   I'm sorry.   You wouldn't be helping us so much unless we were making a terrible decision.   I retract my vote.     Me too. This is awfully suspicious.   The guard is bored, but seems pretty content to just stand here.   Maybe we can convince them to let us "help"?   Ask what the problem is, anyway, and why everyone is just standing around doing nothing when obviously everyone elses shit is flipping all over the place.   Maybe we can offer to be a runner for some paperwork or something, as we're bored and not expected back for tea until 4 or something sufficiently classy.   Get Sweetie Belle to nab his glasses and run. The guard will chase after her.   without his glasses he probably cant see shit, so all we have to do is get rid of the guard   Hmm, this sounds almost possible. Too bad it throws Sweetie to the wolves, there has to be a better plan, but I'm sure the glasses are part of it.   We could probably trick him into handing them to us, if that is what we decide to do.   But lets spend more time trying to come up with something that actually sounds like a good idea first.   The blind old pony won't be able to tell if a signature's forged. Do you think the guard would even want to see it? All we need to do is offer to help, scurry off for a bit, then bring back a forged document   Agreed. I vote for the "offer to help" plan.     Sounds good like the best plan.   If it doesn't work and we get bad end, then I'm sorry. This puzzle really has me stumped Jr, I won't lie.   I haven't been this confused since we were debating how we would assault Tezel's throne room.   I just hope we don't fail so hard here.   >You notice that the other guard still seems to be lingering by the White Chest. Quickly, not to lose a moment, you clear your throat quick and continue. "Excuse me, sir?"   >The guard let's out a sigh, but turns his head. The old pony continues his rant about procedure, chastising the guard in between every other sentence. "Yes?"   >"Darling, you seem to be a bit held up by this... charming gentlemen... for getting this lovely, wonderful... beautiful... dazzling..." You trail off for a second. "...White Chest moved into the Royal Archives. Is there anything I can do to help you?"   >The guard casts you a suspicious glance. "Without the right paperwork... which I have right here..."   >The old pony pipes up. "This is NOT the right paperwork! Form A is not at all used for entering artifacts into the Closed Archives! Form 25-D is used for these entries! I told you this several times before you left!" The pony fumes as the guard simply ignores him.   >"Anyways, I've got the forms I need right here. I'm just waiting for ol' Archæus to give it up and take the darned chest into the archives already."   >You rub your chin. "Perhaps, sir... if I may be so bold as to propose this idea... perhaps you should give him the forms he's actually requesting of you?"   >The guard glowers at you. "Look, kid. I'm already getting nagged in this ear..." He stops for a moment as if a sudden idea came to mind. "Hey, actually... you can help."   >The guard continues on. "In the East Wing, there should be a Royal Records Keeper that has a ton of different forms for filing various things into the archives. If you could just... you know, slap a signature on it fast..." He looks back and forth. "...and run it over to me quick, I'd be very grateful." He shakes his head.   >"Anything to make this old dud drop his dentures for a few minutes... he's really getting on my nerves." The stressed guard stands firm by the White Chest, waiting for the archives pony to give up his demand for the appropriate paperwork.   >Sweetie Belle looks at you, a little nervous. You calm her down. "Writesalot, I order you to stay here and help however you can..." You slink up close to Sweetie Belle. "...break his glasses for me, would ya?"   >Sweetie nods, the Glass Jar still in her mouth.   Umm, fuck. So what does he want? Us to forge a signature on a form we get from this record keeper?   Take the jar. Maybe we can get the signature and write an addendum: "Load onto nearest airship while fugitive is loose"   Best I can think of. Get Sweetie's jar and supplies.   Tell her maybe to look at the glasses and “accidentally" trip.   >Before you take off, you go ahead and nab Sweetie's Glass Jar. It's still filled up with writing supplies. The guard chuckles to himself before turning to Archæus. "No, no. Don't worry, I'll have those forms over to you in a jiffy." The guard gives you a wink before you head off.   >Before you is a long hall, back the way you came from the Southern Suite. Down this hall, there are 5 different passageways. You know the one on your immediate left goes to the Southern Suite. The other 4 are complete mysteries.   >Do you choose to go down one of these hallways?   Ok, so I guess that means the guard probably knows what he wants, and chances are we can't just write a note.   If we have to, we might be able to do something like:   "Sorry captainor whatever rank, but we seem to be out of the 25-D. Hopefully this letter will suffice in its stead until we can have some more made up.   Signed:illegible scribbles.     But its probably a better idea to get the right form.   we should probably get the right form but then forge the signature   Ugh, head right.   Wait, we came from the Southern suite? I thought we came from the Eastern wing.   Head right then.   >You look down the hallway on your right. You're rather positive you saw that Pegasus guard head this way. You look around quick for guards, then begin making your way down this hall. On either side of you are beautiful stained glass windows.   >At the end of the hallway, you see a grand opening. This looks like it should be the East Wing. Looking around, you see Thunder, the guard you bamboozled earlier. He's walking around. You can here him from a distance. "Keep your eyes open for that purple filly. Our latest report says she was spotted down here very recently; she can't have gone far!"   >Around the room, you see several guards and what appears to be an intricate wooden door across the open space. There are several columns in this room that line a red carpeted hallway that leads further into the castle.   Ok, well Thunder knows we aren't Raisin, its not as bad as it could be. If someone sees us call out for him so he can clear up any misunderstandings.     Actually, it sounds like we don't have anywhere to go but in. Maybe we should grab his attention immediatly.   Shit, things could go so fucking wrong.     Everything falls apart.   Everyone will be looking for us in the East Wing. They'll leap on any purple pone that they see.   This was a mistake. This is a terrible mistake.   Turn around. This cannot end well at all. Get out of there, forge the document completely. Hopefully, Sweetie has busted the old guys glasses and we can get our chest.   Every single night it gets harder and harder.   Go ahead, sneak to the door. I don't know what else we can do.   The old pony won't stand for it. We NEED that paperwork or else we're going to need to use force. We only NEED paperwork to have it admitted to the Royal Archives. I don't think he will care much if the guard decides to store it somewhere safer until the proper documentation can be produced.   I don't think we can sneak a forged document passed that old pony.   With his glasses broken? Sure we can. He won't be able to see shit, and the guard hinted that he'd let it slip by as well.   Yes, better than risking a second capture there will be NO coming back from that.   >You decide that getting the legitimate forms is not worth the risk. Forging a fake one should do fine, you figure, especially after that old pony loses his glasses.   >You trot on down the hall, carrying your nose high up in the air. You pass a pair of guards that give you a double take. You hear one of them speaking to his buddy. "No, that's not her. Did you see her mane?"   >As you come back to the main hallway, you decide to duck by a column quick. Quickly, you sprawl out a piece of parchment and jot down what you think to be official looking form letters and documentation. Once finished, you roll it up quick and carry it in your mouth toward the guard and the angry old pony.   >"My glasses! Where are my glasses?!" Archæus rants and fumes as he squints around. "Writesalot! WHERE ARE THEY!?"   >Off to the side, you see Sweetie looking as innocent as possible. "I'm dreadfully sorry... but... I misplaced them. Forgive me, please..."   >The guard doesn't seem to be doing anything to help find them. He looks at you with a grin. "Ah, if it isn't my helper now!" He reaches down, plucking the document from your mouth. Nervously, you give him a little smile. He looks to the old pony, then rolls his eyes. "And with such official looking documentation, too. Here, now take the darned thing."   >Archæus stamps his hooves on the White Chest. "Why didn't you stop her?! You KNOW I can't see without them! Where are they?!"   >The Pegasus Guard pretends not to hear anything. "What's that? Oh, I'm sorry, Archæus, but I think one of the guards just captured our intruder. I must go." He starts walking off, giving you a nod. He whispers, "thanks, kid. Good thinking." As he's nearly halfway down the hall, he cocks his head back over his shoulder. "Get that chest into the Archives, pronto. It's extremely important that you do!"   >Fuming, Archæus mumbles and murmurs to himself. If he had real teeth, he'd be gritting them right now. He doesn't seem to see you. Sweetie Belle walks up to you and whispers in your ear, "I snatched them quick and tossed them out of the door.. it was REALLY hard getting them..." Her mane is a bit roughed up.   >As you bask in the proximity of the White Chest, a sense of overwhelming peace washes over your small, filly body. The world around you wanes a little as a small, rectangular aura permeates the Chest before you. That would just leave Oldilocks over here.   Tell him that you saw a pair of glasses out int he hallway and try to open the chest when he leaves.   Tell him that we will take the chest for him while he searches for his glasses. If he ends up damaged the cursed contents of the chest, or even manages to touch them while blindly stumbling around things could get bad for everyone.   >that feel when the guard who just left matches what Jr is feeling right now.   Yeah, we're sorry for wasting most of this session pissing around not knowing what to do.   >"Excuse me, sir, we ca-"   >As you begin to speak, the old pony slams the top of the White Chest with his hooves. "YOU! Where are they? I know you took them!" He swipes through the air, nearly punching you in the face. "Give them back you pale little monster!" You back away a bit, but the old pony seems to be incredibly angry. Sweetie Belle backs out of the doorway onto the airdocks.   >Archæus continues to sweep his hooves in your direction, batting around wildly. "Guards! Guards, this little devil stole my glasses!"   Tell him that we didn't steal his glasses and while he was flailing around he knocked them into the other room. Point him in the right direction and then take the chest.   We didn't steal them. They're in the other room.   >You get a safe distance away from the advancing pony. "Hey, we didn't take your glasses! You knocked them over into the other room with your crazy flailing!"   >He continues to advance toward you, swinging his forelegs around. "I saw you take them off my face you little brat!" You sidestep him as he continues to walk down the hallway. The guards from the balcony peek in, look around, then get back to their post.   >Archæus rants and raves about how much trouble you're going to be in when he catches you. As he advances closer to the Throne Room doors, you turn your head toward your prize. The White Chest is now before you, unguarded, unprotected. You know that there are guards right on the outside of the door, but their backs are turned towards you. A temptation draws you toward the Chest, beckoning you for your touch.
