- >You were out of your mind.
- >But you wanted Luna back instead of that monster.
- >You were willing to lay your life on the line for it.
- >Crazy things one does for love.
- >You march to the large double doors of the throne room and throw them open.
- “Nightmare moon.”
- >You continue your march right up to her face.
- >”What is it? I’m assuming you dealt with Celestia, her student, and her friends?”
- “We both know Luna is still in there somewhere. She ain’t gonna let you get away with this.”
- >”HA! You have no idea, do you? There is no way she can possibly take back this body! She has no influence anymore!”
- >Here we go anon, all chips are down.
- “I reckon you’re wrong. There’s one thing she’d never do.”
- >”Oh? And what is that?”
- “Ahm’ bettin’ ya’ll don’t have it in ya t’ kill me.”
- >You’re desperate at this point, and this gamble shows.
- >Either you’re right and Luna will come back, or well you’re quite frankly fucked.
- >”I see no reason to keep you around if you’re going to defy me. This will be most enjoyable.”
- >Her horn starts to glow with magic.
- >It was worth a try.
- >You are Luna.
- >Forced from control of your body, your form corrupted into one of great evil, you remain shackled in your mind.
- >You lack any connection to the outside.
- >Until now.
- >A whirling portal appears before you, showing a sight that horrifies you.
- >Anonymous stands defiant.
- >Sparks occasionally fall across your vision.
- >She was going to kill him.
- >No.
- >You strain against the chains binding you.
- >No!
- >The magial electricity arcs into the vision in front of you.
- >NO!
- >You watch as Anonymous is wracked with power and collapses.
- “NOO!”
- >You give one final pull and the chains shatter.
- >You are Anonymous.
- >And you are dead.
- >Everything is cold and dark now.
- >You’d always wondered how death would be.
- >Here’s your answer.
- >You can only hope your sacrifice was not in vain.
- >You close your eyes and give.
- >You look down at the toasted corpse in front of you.
- >It happened because you weren’t strong enough.
- >Your legs give out and you collapse to you knees, tears streaming down your face.
- >This was all your fault.
- >You’re so engulfed with grief you barely notice the approach of your sister and seven p0nies.
- >You manage to look up.
- >Your sister’s eyes are closed.
- >It would seem she at least has the decency to respect your loss.
- >There is some time of silence before your sister finally speaks.
- >”Luna… I.. I’m sorry. For everything. I admit, I am the one at fault. I-!”
- “No, dear sister, I am the one who is truly at fault. I was unable to fight her… and Anonymous paid the price.”
- >Quiet once more.
- >Unbeknownst to all parties, the strange device long forgotten and abandoned has changed.
- >It senses its master’s death and knows that this is not his time.
- >The strange object begins to glow, building up power.
- >This would not be its master’s end.
- >The drawer long unopened finally cracks, dust falling to the floor.
- >Rays of red light come from the crack in the drawer.
- >You are Princess Luna, she who raises the moon and rules the night.
- >You are here with your sister, the new heralds to the Elements of Harmony (something you found out from your sister), and… that’s it.
- >Even then, the heralds are only there because of their status.
- >Where is here?
- >Anonymous’s funeral.
- >He’s buried with everything he owned.
- >One thing was strange about that buckle; it had changed form, resembling a bird of prey, red in color.
- >A Phoenix.
- >It was odd, but you didn’t question it too much.
- >You watch as his casket is lowered into the hole, a tombstone with his name on it at the head end.
- >Magic made burying him a rather swift affair.
- >Which was a good thing; you weren’t sure how long you could bear being here.
- >While you had managed to smooth things over with your sister, things would never be the same without him.
- >You were prepared for this day eventually; after all, unlike yourself he was but a mortal.
- >From what he had told you of his kind, they had microscopic life spans compared to your own, usually not even 100 years of existence.
- >But so soon, and at your own hooves…
- >You knew him; he wouldn’t want you to dwell on his death.
- >You’d become a new Mare for him.
- >He was an outstanding individual; he was proud with an ego that brought him at odds with your sister a thousand years ago.
- >You had to have some of that pride, no longer being a shadow.
- >But after She took your place and conquered the land... the p0nies here were afraid of you.
- >You lived before Anonymous, but you would have it worse living without him now.
- >That night, all was not still within the casket.
- >The boot on the cold, dead foot of Anonymous began to heat up before catching fire.
- >It had begun.
- >You shoot up with a gasp, taking your first breath in god knows how long.
- >The casket is singed somewhat and the dirt covering the casket (not to mention the lid) was gone.
- >You shakily crawl out of the hole in the ground, clawing your way back to the surface.
- >You take note of the dirt on the ground; it’s been scattered for a good distance.
- >The lid of the casket is actually in a tree nearby.
- “Th’ hell happened?”
- >You do a once over and notice something strange about your belt buckle.
- >No longer is it the oversized abomination, but a firebird.
- >Not bad.
- >Damn cool actually.
- >It’s also glowing.
- >You put your hand on it and immediately pull back.
- >Thing’s fucking hot!
- >The glow fades.
- >As you stumble about getting used to being alive again, you notice the scenery change.
- >Suddenly, clouds are pink.
- >Soap roads.
- >What the actual fuck?
- >You’re unfamiliar with the territory.
- >Might just be part of this world you didn’t know about.
- >You continue onward and things get crazier.
- >This isn’t normal.
- >You activate your wings and head for Canterlot.
- >Thankfully the strange changes haven’t reached here yet.
- >Suddenly, the sun goes down and the moon comes up.
- >What the ACTUAL FUCK?!
- >Concerned now you land at the front gates of the castle and hurry in.
- >You immediately head to Luna’s quarters.
- >Don’t even bother knocking.
- “Luna!”
- >She shoots awake and rubs her eyes.
- >”Tis’ an illusion… it must be!”
- “I’m real, I’m alive, and no I don’t know how. Some crazy shit’s goin’ down out there. Pink clouds, soap roads... ain’t normal, that’s fer’ sure.”
- >One thing that you liked about her is that it was business before pleasure with her.
- >Obviously she had questions to ask about you, and granted you were glad to see her again, but it seemed you were right; this isn’t normal.
- >”Discord.”
- >Wait.
- >That was familiar, from long ago.
- “Ya’ll mean that statue? How’s that causin’ all this?”
- >”It means that he hath escaped. We can only hope that Our sister has gathered the Elements to combat him.”
- “And what if she ain’t? What if somethin’ happens to em’?”
- >She finishes donning her armor and begins to pace.
- >She turns to you.
- >”Then We shall send you. Use your strange weapon and combat Discord! Now, all that is left is to determine the source of all this madness!”
- >She heads out to a balcony and you follow.
- >Sure enough, there’s a spreading mass of pink in the distance.
- >”Tis’ the small village of Ponyville. Tis’ not good at all.”
- “What’s the problem?”
- >”That is where the heralds reside. We fear he may have already reached the heralds and corrupted them.”
- “Corrupted?”
- >”Yes. Discord has the ability to turn one’s personality upside down, to reverse their being. The brave become cowards and the kind become cruel.”
- >She looks at you with a worried expression.
- >”Go. But be safe.”
- >You nod and take off again.
- >You realize that pink clouds aren’t just pink; they’re cotton candy.
- >Okay, this is seriously stupid.
- >You also notice the rain they produce is chocolate milk.
- >Oh for the love of god… did this guy come from the ass backwards end of the internet?
- >That, or just that shitty part of YouTube.
- >Weren’t much on the internet yourself; used it for email and normal things.
- >Still, every now and then Google would put strange things on YouTube’s related videos.
- >Funny; they weren’t related at all.
- >Thought train derailed you get lucky and manage to keep from flying through any clouds on your way down.
- >No sign of those six p0nies you saw at the old Retreat.
- >As you walk things just keep getting nuttier.
- >Floating chunks of earth, cardboard cutout houses that tipped over with the slightest vibration…
- >Okay, this guy was fucking insane.
- >You use the term “guy” loosely.
- >The statue definitely wasn’t human.
- >What had it been called again?
- >Dracone..something or other.
- >Like hell it mattered to you.
- >What mattered is that he was fucking shit up bad, and Luna had asked you to stop him in the stead of those six p0nies.
- >Eventually you come upon the creature, sitting on a throne.
- >He notices you and raises an eyebrow.
- >”Oh? You aren’t a p0ny.”
- “No, I ain’t. I’m here t’ send ya’ll packin’.”
- >He laughs at you.
- >”I don’t know who or WHAT you think you are, but you can’t possibly hope to defeat me! I’m not going anywhere!”
- >Now you’re rustled.
- >He materializes a glass from nowhere and you draw, shattering the item.
- >Now you have his attention for sure.
- >You line up another shot… but the bullet SWERVES.
- >Another shot.
- >This one does a loop-de-loop before soaring into atmosphere.
- “What the hell!?”
- >”This world is mine now; the physics you use with that strange weapon won’t work here!”
- >God dammit.
- >Fine then, time for some good old rough n’ tumble hand-to-hand fighting.
- >You holster your weapon and charge the creature, taking a swing which it easily dodges with its long body, causing you to stumble.
- >You turn and try and hit it again but it merely blocks your blow.
- >The damn thing’s toying with you!
- >You’re getting more pissed off with each strike be blocks.
- >Suddenly he catches a punch and tosses you away.
- >Except moon gravity.
- >It’s like your falling in slow motion.
- >When you finally hit dirt you get back up and growl.
- >You weren’t gonna get beat by some freak of nature!
- >You deploy your wings.
- >Time to take this to the skies.
- >You rush the sunnbitch and shove as you head upwards, tossing him away.
- >Of course thanks to whatever the fuck he’s doing, gravity and physics tell you off and you come crashing back down to the ground.
- >Slowly.
- >THIS SONNOVA BITCH.
- >You get back up just as he lands next to you.
- >”Want to try again?”
- >You grit your teeth and growl.
- “Ah’m gonna break you down and watch you BURN!”
- >With that last word your wings burst into flame.
- “HOLY SHIT!”
- >You notice the fire begin to encircle your right arm.
- >Instinctively you try and shake it off.
- >Then you realize something;
- “It ain’t hot….”
- >The creature has a surprised and intrigued look on his face.
- >One you’re about to wipe off.
- >You swing out your arm and a wave of flames goes over him.
- >Yes, a wave of flames that turns into vibrant feathers when they hit him.
- >THE FUCK?!
- >You send another wave but the same thing happens.
- “GAWD FUCKIN’ DAMMIT!!! JUST DIE!”
- >You’re furious now.
- >You’re so pissed you don’t notice the six p0nies from before come along.
- >You don’t notice the rainbow turn Discord to stone.
- >You don’t notice everything go back to normal.
- >Aaaand there goes the cork bottling the rage.
- >Flames erupt from around you and send out a wave of fire.
- >Buildings catch ablaze, stands are incinerated instantly, more than a few p0nies are running around with their manes and tails ablaze.
- >You pant, finally starting to cool off.
- >The fire starts to recede… into your belt buckle.
- >”A-anon… h-how did you… why are you… what was THAT?!”
- >It was the purple one, Twilight.
- >You look at the destruction.
- >Thankfully the p0nies had all managed to find out ways to douse themselves, and the Pegasai were coming to put out the flames on the buildings.
- >Nice job, Anon.
- >”Anonymous!”
- >It’s sunshine.
- >Welp, now you’re fucked.
