Flutterrape Wars: The Beast [Part 1/2]

>You had your rest.

>A few weeks of it.

>Rainbow and yourself now walk through the streets, seeing how everything has changed since the changeling empire arrived.

>The changelings are at the firing range learning how to use magiguns.

>Queen Chrysalis was so grateful for being so well protected that she decided to infuse the power of her changeling race into your vests.

>This allows you to take the form of another creature for camouflage.

>Now she assists Princess Celestia in keeping the bubble around Canterlot sturdy.

>"Anon."

>You stop thinking about things and look at Rainbow.

"Yeah?"

>"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure Rainbow."

>Both of you enter the bar and Pony Joe slides you both some water.

>That's all you have to drink anymore.

>Rainbow takes a drink and then asks, "Do you really think we'll find Applebloom? I mean the odds of us ever-"

>You slam your drink down on the table, startling her and gathering the attention of a few others.

"Yes. I do. Whether she's dead or alive when we do, we will find her. We promised AJ that we'd find her and know damn well I won't pussy out because the odds don't seem to be in our favor!"

>She is silent.

>The others that were looking over now look away.

>You look back at Rainbow to see a tear run down her cheek.

>Put your arm around her and sigh.

"I'm sorry. I've just been agitated lately."

>"It's okay."

>Just then the doors to the bar fly open.

>You both turn to see a rookie guard.

>He looks at you, "Captain Anonymous, sir? The Princess has summoned Bravo squad."

>After paying Pony Joe with the little amount of bits you have on you, both you and Rainbow follow the guard to the throne room.

>Princess Celestia and Queen Chrysalis are sitting on two thrones side by side.

>It was only fair to treat them equally.

>No need for any anger towards each other.

>Anger leads to violence.

>And there's plenty of that out there.

>In front of them is Twilight and Applejack.

"Princess."

>You nod to her when she looks up at you.

>Rainbow flies forward and sits with Applejack, "What're you guys waiting for?"

>Celestia answers her, "We're still waiting for two more of your squad members, Bravo."

>Two members...

>But Pinkie is the only one not here.

>Is she really forcing another rookie on you?

"Princess."

>She looks at you.

"With all due respect, I think a sixth member on this team would be more of a hindrance than anything."

>You drag your fingers along the bloodstained ribbon wrapping the handle of your machete in remembrance.

"I don't think it's a good idea."

>"I understand your concern. But the difference between this time and last time is this time it will be someone more experienced."

>The door to the right opens and Pinkie walks in with Shining Armor.

>He's a member of Alpha squad, the highest ranking squad here.

>The best you've seen here with a gun.

>Better than yourself.

"I see."

>They walk over to the rest of the group and face the Princess.

>Princess Celestia stands up.

>"As you all have been informed, we have received a request from Saddle Arabia for assistance."

>All of you nod.

>"Your job is to head there and help defend the main city. Once you've gotten rid of whatever, 'The Beast' is, then you must send us a signal to come retreat the remaining inhabitants of Saddle Arabia to Canterlot."

"Princess. Exactly how will we get there? That's miles and miles past the mountain."

>"Ah yes. I almost forgot. Chrysalis?"

>She sits down and Queen Chrysalis stands.

>"You'll need some way to get across the land without being seen by the swarm. I've thought of a simply marvelous plan that should work."

>Applejack grumbles, "It better..."

>Rainbow smacks her in the side and whispers something.

>Chrysalis continues, "...anyway, the other creatures shouldn't be able to tell the difference if you were to all transform into Flutterflies and fly there."

"I get it. But wouldn't it look strange for just the six of us to be going one direction? They usually travel in packs of ten or more."

>She looks out the window and begins brainstorming ideas.

>"Do you think it could work if I were to send some of my changelings with you?"

>You nod.

"That sounds like a solid plan."

>Twilight interrupts, "Except for one minor detail. How are we going to tell them that we aren't the enemy as we get close?"

>Celestia responds, "We do not know as of now. Perhaps you could land a few hundred feet before and change back?"

>You nod.

"I'm not seeing any other way to do this. All of you agree?"

>They do so with nods.

"Alright Bravo. Let's move out."

>You all exit the throne room and are greeted with about thirty changelings.

>They are informed of the plan by Shining Armor.

>When everyone is ready, you all look to your shoulder pads.

>The transformation panel displays what you are currently wearing.

>Right now it says nothing.

>You click the dial three times to the right and it says Flutterfly.

>Then you push down on it.

>A green flame bursts around your body and now you have the same body type as a Flutterfly.

>Six legs, covered with slime.

>Two sets of wings.

>And you can't stop drooling.

>God these things are disgusting.

>The others transform as well and you flap your wings hard enough to push you upwards.

>It feels gross to have wings like this.

>At least your eyes don't change.

>You'd hate to see thousands of the same image.

>The others fly up with you, forming a cloud of Flutterflies.

>The bubble around Canterlot is severed for a few seconds, allowing all of you to exit.

>It comes back up right after you get over the mountain.

>Good to know HQ will be safe.

>For now.

>You redirect your attention in front of you.

>Far off in the distance you see the Queen's empire.

>A few miles behind that, large mountains are seen.

>Twilight speaks, "Intel says that behind that mountain range is Saddle Arabia."

>Well there you have it.

>Now it's just the long haul over there.

>After a few minutes of flight, you pass the ruins of the Queen's castle.

>Something touches your side and you turn to see another Flutterfly.

>"Anon, we've got a problem."

>It's Twilight.

"What's that?"

>"There's a swarm heading straight for us."

>Oh no...

"A swarm of what?"

>"Moaningshy..."

>Christ.

>They're giant hummingbirds but with razor sharp teeth and Fluttershy's wings.

>And just as the name implies...

>They moan like they're constantly orgasming.

>But that's not the real problem.

>The real problem is that they feed on Flutterflies.

"Is there a way we could avoid them?"

>She shakes her head.

>"I'm not seeing one."

>Another Flutterfly comes up.

>"So what, we're just gonna get eaten?!"

>It's Rainbow.

"No Rainbow. I have an idea."

>You fly up to the top of the cloud of Flutterflies.

"Everyone listen up! There is a swarm of Moaningshy ahead of us!"

>A large amount of chatter interrupts you.

"SHUT UP!"

>They do as commanded.

"I have a plan! When they notice us, we swoop down into the trees! I know that sounds dangerous, but it's a risk I'm willing to take!"

>Applejack's voice is heard.

>"Are ya crazy?! We'll all die!"

"DO YOU WANT SOME CHANCE TO SURVIVE, OR NONE AT ALL?!"

>She doesn't respond.

"That's what I thought."

>You lower back into the middle of the cloud.

>Twilight is back at your side.

>"We've got a few seconds until they notice us!"

"Where are they-"

>A giant beak pecks down into the cloud, taking with it a few changelings.

>The sound of hundreds of them moaning at once threatens your hearing.

"THEY'RE ABOVE US! EVERYONE, GO DOWN UNDER THE TREE TOPS!"

>All of you move down at once.

>A few more changelings smack against tree branches.

>You swirve around a big trunk and then duck under a branch.

>A beak comes down from the tree tops, merely yards in front of you.

>It is directly in between two trees, elminating the possibility to swirve around it.

>The beak opens and it screeches.

>You kick it into gear and speed through the open beak, barely making it.

>You continue moving on, dodging trees and avoiding beaks until the sound of moaning begins to die down.

>Looking around you, you see roughly fifteen others total.

>Slowing down, you poke your head up through the trees and half of the changelings being eaten alive.

>You look around to the others.

"Bravo, you alright?"

>Five of the Flutterflies nod.

>Good.

>That was too close.

>You continue moving on.

"Hey Twilight, next time scan for that shit so we have more time to prepare."

>Her voice is heard behind you.

>"Sorry."

>You say nothing and emerge from the trees.

>The others huddle close as you fly on.

>A mountain range is ahead of you.

"Everyone, up!"

>All of you fly up until you're well above the mountains.

"There it is!"

>You point out to the village in the sand.

>Magic is being fired out at Flutterflies swarming around it.

"Let's get over there!"

>You over the mountains and begin your descent.

>Don't want to get too close.

>They might fire at you.

>All of you land near the base of the mountain.

>You change back to your normal body and stand up.

"Fuck I hate doing that."

>As you stretch your arms out, the others change back as well.

>Alright.

>Time to think.

>You'll need a way out of there after you're finished.

>You turn around.

"Changelings, stay in Flutterfly form and hold the fort here. You're our way out of here."

>They nod and turn back to Flutterflies.

"Bravo squad."

>Pinkie, Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow, and Shining all stand to attention.

"Let's move out."

>You turn around and start trudging through the sand.

>Rainbow flies to your side.

>"Anon, what are we going to do once we're there?"

"Ask about 'The Beast' and then go find it."

>"Then what?"

"We do what we do best. Kill it."

>She nods and turns her attention forward again.

>Suddenly the wind starts to pick up.

>It blows against the way that you're walking, whipping you with the sand it picks up.

>You turn back, unable to look forward without getting sand in your face.

"Twilight!"

>"I got it."

>Her eyes glow and then a bubble forms around you.

>The feeling of sand hitting you fades away.

"Thanks."

>She nods.

>When you turn back around, you see Saddle Arabia's castle doors opening.

"Bravo, move move move!"

>All of you stop slacking and hustle over to the doors.

>They close behind you.

>Civilian ponies stare at you amazed and confused.

"Twilight."

>The bubble dies off.

>They look at your squad, unsure what to think.

>A few guards come running up to you.

>"Are you from Canterlot?"

"Yes. Bravo squad, at your service."

>"Come quickly, we must discuss-"

>Suddenly the ground begins to rumble, sending you off balance.

>You grab the castle wall to steady yourself.

>The civilians run around terrified.

>One of them screams, "IT'S THE BEAST!"

>A loud explosion like sound is heard.

>The guard looks to all of you.

>"Follow me!"

>He runs up a flight of stairs and you follow after him.

>Once at the top, you look over the side of the castle walls.

>The ground is still shaking like crazy.

"What is going o-"

>The sand in the desert begins to part.

>A giant serpent emerges from the ground, its head looking like Fluttershy's but more flattened.

>It has thousands of legs, each with their own mouths on them.

>All of the mouths let out an ear shattering screech.

>It then jumps back down under the sand and a massive scorpion tail about a mile back is seen flying up before disappearing into the ground.

>All of you stand there, completely speechless.

>Pinkie chuckles and then says, "We're gonna need a bigger gun."
