  1. >The three little fillies cowered as they saw the mighty warrior stand before them
  2. >His sword was out, but not for them
  3. >He thought his house had been broken into by something far more sinister.
  4. "Get out, but don't run home. I will deal with you in a minute."
  5. >The three fillies nodded and then ran out of the cellar around him, climbing the ladder with great speed
  6. >As they ran out, Apple Bloom looked back and saw Anon grab the engraved bone pendant and place it in his pocket
  7. >She then saw him take a gold ring with ivory on the side and look around, before settling on a small opening in the wall
  8. >He carefully placed it there, tilting it so it could easily be seen
  9. >He then turned his head and saw her watching him
  10. "GET OUT!"
  11. >She gasped and jumped out of the chamber, and Anon followed quickly
  12. >He climbed out quickly, huffing and cursing under his breath
  13. >He slammed the trap-door shut and then covered it back up with the rug
  14. >The three fillies looked at each other before they heard a whoosh and a sharp blade was pointed at them, causing them to fall back in alarm
  15. "Now you listen to me, and you listen well." Anon began, deathly serious
  16. >Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo all nodded furiously
  17. "You will tell no one what you saw here today. No one will know about the location of my cellar, or even know it exists. Understand?"
  18. >They all nodded, but Apple Bloom seemed to have a thought on her mind
  19. "But why Anon? It's not like anyp0ny is going to steal it..."
  20. >The other two look at her, concerned
  21. >Anon sighs
  22. "Fine then... I'll show you."
  23.
  24. >Anon guided the three out, and closed the door with a lock
  25. >After a quick question of how they got in, he mumbled to himself how he will need a grate
  26. >He sheathed his weapon, and guided the three to follow him behind the cabin
  27. >They did, and they saw furs and bones being worked
  28. >Sweetie Belle closed her eyes and started to cry at the scene
  29. "I cannot have people lusting for my treasure, girls. You cannot reveal my secrets."
  30. >They nodded and quickly ran off
  31. >Anon sighed and returned into his cabin
  32. >He went back into the hold
  33. >He returned the necklace to where it was
  34. "Another time." He mumbled to himself
  35.
  36. >The next day, Anon remembered his obligation to Fluttershy
  37. >He put on his simple clothing, armed himself with just his sword and started walking
  38. >It would probably be faster to walk through the woods to Fluttershy's cottage, but he decided against it.
  39. >Better to brave the Ponies then the woods
  40.
  41. >He soon arrived in town, and accidentally made eye contact with Pinkie Pie
  42. >She began to bounce towards him
  43. "Damn the gods..." he said under his breath
  44.
  45. >Pinkie approaches
  46. "Howdy Anon!" She says happily
  47. >Anon can't help but smile a little bit
  48. "Do you have my knife?"
  49. >Anon remembers
  50. "Oh yes... It's at my cottage."
  51. >Pinkie nods
  52. "Ok, I'll come visit you later to get it."
  53. >Anon nods
  54. "Okie dokie lokie, see you later Anon!"
  55. >Pinkie hops away
  56. >Back to the task at hand
  57.
  58. >Anon got through town quickly, and began up the path to Fluttershy's
  59. >He arrives there
  60. >He knocks on the door
  61. >Nothing happens
  62. "Fluttershy.. It's Anon. I've come to return to the bandages."
  63. >After a few seconds, the door opens a crack, and then fully
  64. >Fluttershy sits there
  65. >Anon hands over the bandages
  66. "Thank you - really. These are worth alot to me..."
  67. >Anon nods
  68. "If you ever need them again-" Fluttershy begins but is interrupted by Anon raising his hand
  69. "No, that won't be necessary, I think I have a different solution."
  70. >Fluttershy smiles
  71. "Alright. Goodbye, Anon."
  72. >Anon leaves, his sword clattering as he descending the hill and beginning back to town
  73. >As he started off, he stopped and thought of something
  74. "This time.. I'll go through the forest."
  75. >He began his track through from Fluttershy's to his place, but without paths or roads
  76. >He was sure nothing would go wrong.
  77.
  78. >Anon walks through the woods
  79. >As he walked, he felt an uncanny feeling
  80. >Like he was being watched
  81. >He couldn't quite put his finger on it
  82. >He gripped his sword, ready for anything
  83. >As he continued, he soon saw his home
  84. >He smiled and took a step forward
  85. >He heard a twig crack
  86. >He whirled around, but saw nothing
  87. >He looked down
  88. >He didn't step on a twig
  89. >He backed away onto his property quickly, but saw nothing else
  90. >Anon was careful and just waited for a while, but he had some blacksmithing to do
  91. >So finally he just said forget it and went down to his forge and workshop
  92.
  93. >He began a fire, and got to work
  94. >Soon, metal began to glow orange with heat
  95. >He hammered it, holding one end with tongs
  96. >He soon had the shape of a horseshoe
  97. >He wiped the sweat from his brow, this was real labor
  98.
  99. >As Anon worked, he soon had a glowing hot horseshoe
  100. >He hammered it and got it ready to be put in the water
  101. >As he turned, he saw the tiniest amount of red flick out his vision to his left
  102. >Instantly, without thinking, he jumped up and turned more, getting onto the table
  103. >He saw a snarling manticore inches away from his feet, and he swung downwards with hammer in hand, and it was repealed
  104. >But that wasn't it
  105. >There were two more of them
  106. >The three of them regrouped and prepared for an attack
  107. >The center of them had darker hair and was bigger
  108. >He was their alpha
  109. >Anon prepared to bolt back to his cottage, but new he couldn't outrun them all the way
  110. >Soon, the Alpha charged
  111. >Anon stuck forward the red-hot horseshoe
  112. >It struck the manticore in the eye
  113. >It roared as its flesh was roasted and skin baked
  114. >Anon jumps away, dropping the tongs but keeping the hammer and sprinted towards his cottage
  115. >The manticores are very, very fast
  116. >He doesn't look back, knows it will slow him down
  117. >He slams open his door and gets inside, closing and bolting it
  118. >The manticores scratch and attack, but they do not get inside.
  119. >He waits
  120.
  121. Thus began a siege
  122. >Anon waited for them to leave
  123. >They didn't
  124. >He would put on his armor, and leave, have a short battle, and then come back inside and wait
  125. >They were very stealthy, ferocious creatures
  126. >The worst of course was the one he burned
  127. >Anon began to call him "Black Eye", the manticore seemed to become enraged at the name
  128. >He had fun with that at least
  129. >He soon ate a short dinner from inside his cottage
  130. >He knew he couldn't last out here forever
  131. >He would run out of food within a few days
  132. >The manticores were clever, 2 would watch the door while the other went to go get food
  133. >He cursed, his isolation from the rest of ponyville suddenly became a problem
  134.
  135. >However that same day, he saw something bound up the path towards his cottage
  136. >It was a pink pony
  137. "Oh no, pinkie!" He cursed to himself
  138. >He came up to the door and unlocked it, before finally opening it and screaming
  139. "PINKIE RUN!"
  140. >Pinkie seemed confused but turned around and saw the manticore behind her
  141. >She ran away screaming, the manticore giving chase
  142. >Another manticore seemed to join him
  143. >Now was Anon's chance
  144.
  145. >Anon ran out armed with his sword, a mace on his belt, and a shield
  146. >He was also wearing his leather armor
  147. >Suddenly, he heard something from behind him and turned around
  148. >The alpha manticore had jumped from his roof onto him, slamming Anon down on his porch
  149. >He used his shield to separate them, the creature clawing and stabbing with his tail
  150. "We meet again, Black-Eye."
  151. >The creature roared and jumped off him before whipping around and hoping to get in a hit
  152. >Anon was too fast and jumped up
  153. >The creature batted its paw forward, and Anon attacked with his sword
  154. >The sword cut the paw
  155. >The manticore roared and knocked the sword out of Anon's hands and to the side
  156. >Anon drew his mace, ready for just such an occasion
  157. >Anon stepped forwards and jumped, slamming forward with his shield
  158. >The creatures tried to avoid it by jumping to the right
  159. >Anon spun and the creature's paw swiped at the air
  160. >Anon brought down his club and smashed the side of the creature's head
  161. >It cried out in pain and jumped away
  162. >He watched it go off into the woods
  163. >Anon readied himself and saw Pinkie running back towards the cabin with two of the manticores in tow
  164. "AHHHH!!!" Pinkie screamed as they stabbed at her with their poison tails
  165. >Anon, thinking quickly, unhooked his shield and thew it, smacking one in the jaw
  166. >He than grabbed his sword and leaped forward, now holding two weapons
  167. >He gave a flurry of blows to both of the creatures, blocking a few tail swipes with the whirling steel
  168. >The creatures, realizing how strong Anon was and how their alpha had been run off, ran off themselves to go lick their wounds
  169. >Anon breathed heavily after the battle
  170.
  171. >He returned to his porch to find Pinkie cowering under his bed inside, and then said "They're gone."
  172. >Pinkie slowly came out from under the bed, and Anon noticed she had the knife in her hand
  173. >He saw this but didn't bring it up to her
  174. "...Thank you Anon." She said
  175. >He helped her up
  176. "No problem. Glad you're alright."
  177. >Pinkie Pie looked outside and then back at Anon
  178. "Will you be safe here, Mr.Anon?"
  179. >Anon nodded and assured her.
  180. >She accepted it, though she was dubious
  181. >She looked over the damage done to the door and poked her head out to scan the area
  182. >She found it clear
  183. >She walked out slowly, and was vigilant as she walked down the path to Ponyville
  184. >Anon smiled.
  185. "Clever girl."
  186. -----------------------------------------------
  187.
  188. >Anon entered town, bought some fresh bandages, and ran down to the Ponyville water reserve pool
  189. >The other ponies were waiting
  190. >He asked Twilight to blast the bandages with magic
  191. "Why?"
  192. "I was hoping you all would help me make magic bandages. Like from the book."
  193. "Anon, I am not skilled in healing magic."
  194. "You could try."
  195. >Twilight looked dubious but began
  196. >Blasting the bandages for a few minutes with purple energy
  197. >Anon then picked them up and put them in the water
  198. "Now, Applejack needs to shed a tear in the water." he said
  199. >Applejack nodded and sat, slowly forcing out a tear
  200. >Once that happened, the water seemed to glow for a second
  201. "Ok, now Pinkie."
  202. >Pinkie stepped forward, batted a tear into the water, and jumped back with a smile.
  203. >Well, she was fast...
  204.
  205. >Finally, Twilight put the last tear in the water after the others had gone
  206. >Anon's hands had become pruned from holding the bandages there for so long
  207. >The whole pool began to glow for a second, but then stopped
  208. >Anon took out the bandages
  209. >They seemed brighter and better then before
  210. >He could feel the magic coming off of them
  211. "Wow, those feel powerful." Twilight said aloud
  212. >Anon nodded. He knew little of magic, but the book said that the more each pony represented their element the more powerful the bandages would be
  213. >Considering these ponies were living incarnations of their elements, the bandages would be pretty strong
  214. >Anon thanked them all and offered to pay, but they refused and they all went home.
  215. >Anon went to sleep that night happy he had gotten something important done today.
