Darker is a Lucid-class PK technique which renders the subject body permeable to most visible wavelengths. This increases resistance to energy-based weapons and certain PK techniques, as well as making the caster very difficult to see in dark or poorly-lit areas.
Mellen is a Lucid-class PK technique which inhibits the cognitive processes of anyone caught in its area of effect. For more powerful enemies this will generally mean that their movements become slow and clumsy, their physical attacks weaker and their overall accuracy greatly reduced. Opponents who aren't very bright to begin with may forget that they're supposed to be fighting until they are provoked again, or even fall asleep on the spot.
SolFlare is a Render-class PK technique which emits a stream of charged plasma from the focussing point. The stream will naturally veer towards objects of an opposing charge, most commonly living tissue. Damage will increase expotentially as the stream maintains contact with the target.
Convect is a Render-class PK technique which emits waves of intense heat originating from the subject body that dissipate over a short distance. The radius, temperature and energy consumption all increase as focus is held, which can be dangerous for the caster if used irresponsibly.
Assert is a Phase-class PK technique which causes a sudden directed change in air pressure, generating a shockwave capable of knocking over opponents and loose objects with considerable force. Keep in mind that the effectiveness of this technique may be affected by factors such as the current humidity and air pressure, the size of a room you attempt to use it in, immobile obstacles in its path, and etc.
Reject is a Phase-class PK technique which forms a 2D plane of distorted physical space immediately in front of the subject body. Objects, wavelengths, particles and other potential means of attack have a difficult time penetrating the anomalous 2D space, and will generally be misdirected or their force dampened considerably. The energy required to upkeep the barrier is directly proportional to the energy or physical force that contacts it, and over-reliance on the technique can leave the user drained of energy in the middle of a dangerous situation.
