"Help, how do I get on this IRC channel?"
The fastest and easiest way would be by going to http://canternet.org/chat, clicking on "Load website client.", entering your nickname and the channel you want to use. Keep in mind that people tend to be AFK when on IRC so do not expect an imminent answer. The other way would be getting an actual IRC client and setting it up; some recomended ones are mIRC and HexChat.
