Deer or Do

 

Plot Overview.

 

[Disclaimer: Let it be known that the '4chan' jokes you will see in here are just something I put it to make this humorous for those who read it. Please disregard them in terms of how they affect the plot. They are not seriously part of the script.]

 

Setting: Whitetail woods. starts at morning and takes place through out the day. Also there is a part when they head into ponyville.

 

Characters(OC's): Treebark(adult or mane six age) He is a upbeat sorts nervous kind of guy.

Redwood: Stern, and stubborn. He is the leader of the deer tribe.

Mapleleaf: Kind, gentle, and soft spoken. She can get fiesty when she wants to though.

TB's father:No name available: A carefree caring person. He is willing to fight for his son but will accept his decision's.

TB's mother:No name available: A excitable clingy type. She can get just as fiesty when it comes to her son.

 

INTRO:

The mane six(plus spike) are heading to the Whitetail woods in order to meet the nomadic deer tribe who have made their home there.Twilight explains that she is to meet them and report her findings. She brings the others so that they can give them a warm welcome.

 

Act 1: The deer who buck'd me.

 

Upon arriving pinkie scares the locals because deer are nervous, easy to scare...people?

Twilight explains a bit about deer info(In this scenario they are based off of gypsies). A deer then approaches them, it is Treebark but he is wearing a cloak over his mane, hiding the fact that his antlers are fake. He introduces himself and the mane six(plus spike) do the same. Twilight then asks to speak with the leader of the tribe. Treebark informs them that he is his son and takes them to see his father, Redwood.

 

Redwood introduces himself and his wife the Doe Mapleleaf. Twilight welcomes them and asks if they could tour the camp and learn more about the deer. Redwood declines at first but then accepts when his wife implores him to reconsider(>rape). He accepts but he has Treebark to show them around. Treebark accepts and then leaves the tent with ponies in tow.

 

Outside Treebark shows the ponies the different things that deer's do.(Pinkie in the background is doing silly stuff.) At some point, Treebark's hood is blown off by some wind. He doesnt notice but the ponies do. They don't immediately confront him but they start to subtly ask him questions about himself. Eventually pinkie(not catching on to the atmosphere.) pulls off his antlers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpaRWxd9LNw this happens.

 

At first he denies it, but eventually he admits it. He tells them that he has always known but he just wanted to fit in with his 'family'. Applejack tells him that he should ask his parents about how they found him. Rainbow dash disagrees because it doesn't matter who his real parents are. They argue about it but Twilight stops them. Twilight and spike manages to get him to go ask. Treebark decides that it's time to find out about his past.

 

Act 2: I am a huge tupla, please imagine my face.

 

They head back and Treebark confronts his father. His Redwood refuses to speak on the matter but Mapleleaf tells them the story of how she found Treebark(I am purposely leaving out what happens here.) Treebark is in shock after hearing the story. He leaves the tent and is mopey. Twilight comes out and speaks to him. Treebark fears that his parents simply abandoned him. Twilight comforts him.

 

Applejack offers Treebark her help in trying to find his birth family. The others thinks its a good idea(except Douche bag Rainbow Dash) they then head back to ponyville, Treebark is nervous to be around all the ponies(he WAS raised by the deer after all.) A montage of them of them looking for answers in town ensues. They find no reliable information, but they happen to run into the Mayor of the town, she recalls an incident of two ponies losing their foal in the WTW. she tells them that they return every year around this time to visit his 'grave'.

 

They go to the spot she tells them about and find the two ponies in question.(Activate the FEELS here) Teary reunion with Treebark seeing how much he looks like his birth father. Treebark tells them his story(skip over it) and then offers to introduce them to his 'parents'. They make for the camp.

 

When they arrive at the camp, they startle all the deer again. His father and Mother come out to see what the commotion is. They see Treebark and co. The parents talk to each other and the birth family express their thanks for the adopted family for caring for their son(Treebark should have an alt. pony name.) They make the mistake of being presummtious and assume that Treebark will go with them. Redwood disagrees. The fathers almost get into a tussel. The mothers break it up but end up in a tussle themselves.

 

The girls get involved when they try to break up the conflict but end up taking sides as well. A sort little tussle over treebark ensues(played for laughs and such) but Treebark is then put on the spot to chose. He can't handle the pressure and runs off, deeper into the WTW's.

 

Act 3: My FEELS are eternal.

 

Treebark run's into the woods. (Cue song. The song in my scenario would be about an inner conflict about who his family is. Also who he is/Who he was meant to be.)

 

He ends the song while looking into a puddle. Moping and shit. Spike then comes out of no where.( He sneaks off in the resulting conflict after Treebark runs away.) Spike talks to Treebark and gives him his insight. Spike explains that he suffered the same problem. They discuss for a bit and then Treebark feels like he can make his decision. He takes Spike back with him.

 

Treebark stops the fighting and goes over to his adopted parents. He tells them that he loves them and that his grateful for raising him, that they are his true family. The birth parents look sad because they think that Treebark chose the others. Treebark surprises everyone by saying he is going with birth parents. He explains that his past is set in stone and that nothing will ever change that. That he may be a pony but he is a buck at heart.

 

At this point the episode could go two ways.

 

1: Redwood surprises everyone by agreeing immediately, supporting Treebarks decision.

 

or

 

2: Redwood accepts but only on the condition that Treebark best him in a antler duel.(They ram each other like deer are known to do.) Everyone thinks Treebark has no chance because his antlers are fake but he wins because his 'deer spirit'(You know, because he feels that he is a deer at heart. You know what I mean. Its not a special ability but more of a determination thing.)

 

The scene then skips to ponyville. Redwood, Mapleleaf, and the mane six(plus spike) come to see him off with his parents. Treebark says his goodbyes to his parents promising that he will return one day. He thanks the mane six for helping him reunite with his parents. Treebark also helps Applejack and Rainbow Dash stop fighting(It wasn't resolved in the last scene.) Twilight at this point remembers what she should have been doing and starts to freak out, but Treebark has it covered with his 'own' report to the princess(Along with a moral lesson letter;'What I learned in ponyville is Blankety blankety blank'.)

 

Cue walking off scene with the moral lesson letter being read in the background.

Notes: The deer should be gypsies. Just saying.

Treebark is a adult in this scenario, at least the same age of the mane six.

When Treebark leaves at the end he should discard his antlers. The antlers hit a passing derpy in the face knocking her on her back. When she sits up the antlers are on her just like they were on Treebark. (Come one do this! It would be adorable!)
