Guide on getting your 11 free SP weapons!!

 

So this is my first guide... go easy on me ><

Basically, at any time after you reach HR100+, you may obtain 1 free pre-selected SP weapon for each weapon type, totaling 11 free SP weapons!!

 

 

Before I go on, you may be asking, "Dude, what the sh!t is an SP weapon?".

To which I would say, ">_>; It's hard to define how exactly they differ from other weapons, but I'll try my best to explain.".

 

- They are crafted at the ordinary blacksmith and are first available at HR100+

- They look like other non-SP weapons, only with a colour reskin

- They always (with the exception of Bowguns) start at SPI (1) and max at SPVII (7)..this means that you must upgrade them 6 times to max

- They are crafted with great beginning stats (fairly high raw, decent element/status and blue sharpness), but gain only small boosts for each upgrade

- They always have 0% base affinity

- Some quests require you to use SP weapons to participate, such as Tekisei quests (the ones that give you Gou tickets)

- You get an attack (about x1.03~x1.04, depending on the weapon type) and affinity boost (+20%) with SP weapons when you use them in HR100 quests

 

 

So that's SP weapons in a nutshell. Now let's stop wasting your time and move onto what you want... "ZOMG U MEAN FREE WEAPONS?!".

Shuttup! (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻) Of course that's what I mean. What else would you be reading this for?

 

First of all, go to this link: http://cog-members.mh-frontier.jp/information/news/info/4649.html and scroll down to the part where you can see your code. Make sure you copy the text (don't bother trying to retype it).

Once you have your code, you'll want to log into frontier and head towards the event tents. "But I'm a nab. Where are da event tents?"

Just head right, from where you appear in town. You can't miss them.

Now most people say that going to the left tent works, but I had to go to the right tent. When you reach the tent you want to use, simply select the top options.

Once you're in the place, talk to the NPC and once again, skip through the options. Eventually an option box will appear. Paste your code in and confirm.

As a side note, you'll probably re-appear at the entrance of the tent. Walk back up to the NPC, skip up to the option box and repaste. If done correctly, a stamp will appear on the brown square below your code.

Now run on down to the usual quest lady and talk to her. Pick the 3rd option down and then the 1st option.

The quest you want to select should be the 4th one down. It's an arena quest where all you have to do is deliver the map. Previously, the quest would have red writing signifying that you don't meet the requirements to participate. Now that you've entered in your code however, you'll be good to go.

 

Upon completion of the insanely hard delivery quest, return to where you submitted your code, talk to the NPC and a window should pop up saying what you've earned.

 

Now head on down to your equipment box and see the fruit of your labors.
