Noctis and Luna Chapter 3 (The Love of a Princess)

 CHAPTER 3

 

We join in on Prince Noctis and Princess Luna enjoying the day together in the Canterlot Gardens like usual. It is a snowy day in Canterlot.

 

Luna: Ah the snow here in Canterlot is just magnificent dont you think?

 

Noctis: Oh I love it Luna. But nowhere near as much as I love you.

 

Luna: Always the flatterer. Haha, you always did have a knack for that Noctis.

 

Noctis:Youve got that right Luna. But of course why shouldnt I flatter the one I love the most?

 

>The two continue their playful conversation

 

Noctis:Hey Luna, ever have a snowball fight?

 

Luna: A snowball fight? Why I participated in them all the time when I was a foal but mind you that was thousands of years ago.

 

Noctis: Well, Im sure you’ve still got it in you. Want to fight?

 

>Luna throws a snowball playfully in Noctis face

 

Noctis: Oh so thats how you want to play eh?

 

>Luna throws another snowball at his face

 

Noctis: You do realize my dear that this means war.

>The two begin to have a snowball fight in the Cantelot Gardens while some commoners watch for their entertainment

 

>Celestia soon sees the war being fought between Noctis and Luna with the weapon of snowballs

 

Celestia: Oh how cute. I knew these two were a perfect match for each other since the very beginning

 

>Celestia goes to talk to Noctis when she accidentally steps into the line of their fire and Is pelted by snowballs

 

Celestia: Come on you two! I know youre having fun but I want to talk to you about something!

 

>The two do not hear Celestia and continue their snowball battle

 

>When the two realize her presence, they pester her with snowballs playfully

 

Celestia:I see, to get you to stop, there has to be a winner to this battle. Let the battle begin!

 

>Celestia begins to fire snowballs back at both Luna and Noctis

 

>A three way snow battle ensues and the Citizens begin to cheer for their favorite in this competition

 

Noctis: If you think Im gonna go down without a fight, youre sadly mistaken Celestia

 

Celestia:Then a fight we shall have!

 

Luna: To get to him, youll have to go through me, Sister!

 

Celestia: So be it!

 

>The snowball fight continues until finally all three decide to have a truce

 

Noctis: Well that was hectic and time consuming.

 

>*Snap*

 

Noctis: Oh my fucking god.

 

Discord: Did someone say hectic? I do still need my daily dose of chaos after all.

 

>Noctis sighs

 

Noctis:" Discord, do you really have to be here now?"

 

Discord:" Why hello there Anon, good to see you!"

 

Noctis:" It's Noctis now."

 

Discord:" Noctis eh? What was Anon too stupid of a name for you because it was given to you by other stupid humans?"

 

Noctis:" Discord, do we have to go through this every single time? Is this what you live for? Pissing me off?"

 

Discord:" Do you remember my name? It's Discord, pleasure to meet you. For your information Discord means disharmony, so spread chaos and disharmony is what I do!"

 

Noctis:" God you're a complete faggot."

 

Discord:" Oh lighten up, I'm just here to have some fun! I noticed you were in the middle of a snowball fight and since I didn't get to welcome you back home during your celebration, I decided this would be the next best thing, after all, tonight's Christmas Eve and I assume you and Luna will be busy as bees. Besides do you have to be so serious? It is the holiday season after all. Come on I thought we were pals! Best Buds! Close Acquaintances!"

 

Noctis:" I guess you're right Discord, I do get mad a bit too easily."

 

Discord:" I'm glad you see things my way for a change! It's truly a-"

 

>Discord is interrupted with a snowball pelted at his face by Noctis

 

Discord:" A sneaky move, I like it."

 

>He is then again pelted with snowballs

 

Discord:" Well then Noctis, I see you want to do things the hard way, so be it. Let us fight!"

 

>With a snap of a finger Discord creates a miniature squad of Abominable Snowmen to fight against Noctis

 

Luna:" Noctis watch out! The snowmen will get you!"

 

>Luna then jumps and blocks a punch from one of the snowmen to protect Anon who was pre occupied with Celestia

 

>The truce between Luna, Celestia, and Nocits is officially broken

 

>The snowball war between Discord, Noctis, Luna, and Celestia rages on for another hour

 

>Discord normally had the unfair advantage, using his manipulative powers to create any kind of chaotic snow weapon he could

 

>Discord also had used his powers of chaos to create excellent distractions, leaving his victim wide open for his attack

 

>Noctis also had some tricks up his sleeve to counter those of Discord's

 

>He would normally dive into the snow and come up from behind Discord to scare him and steal his weapon

 

>The snowball war had been complete calamity and was always intense

 

>After the hour of non stop snowball fighting, Celestia proposes a truce

 

Celestia:" Noctis! Luna! Discord! This has gone on long enough! Although I admit it was extremely fun, we still have things to do! Tonight is Christmas eve and we have to make sure everything is in order."

 

Discord:" Alright, I raise the white flag. It's been long enough and I don't want to get myself worn out after all. That reminds me, I'm here to give Noctis and Luna a present. That was actually the main reason why I had come but then the talks about hectic snowball fights just got me so tempted."

 

Noctis:" A present for Luna and I? What could you have possibly gotten to give us? Besides I bet it's some lame jack in the box prank. You're starting to get a tad predictable Discord, you gotta step your game up."

 

Discord:" This present is of the utmost sincerity Noctis. I can be serious when I want to you know. It's just that a majority of the time I choose not to be because why be serious and be all grumpy when you could be care free and do as you please?"

 

Luna:" Well then Discord, I must apologize as I did not think to give you a gift, for I thought you would more likely than not crash the Christmas celebration."

 

Discord:" Christmas is bigger than I am, no matter how big I may make myself appear! I would not dare trespass on the sanctity of the Celebration. As much as it could be fun to ruin it, I still have a personal gain in just leaving it untouched. I don't blame you for not giving me a present, I haven't done much to deserve one really. I mean sure I did help you that one night of your wedding be free from Nightmare Moon, but Noctis over there did most of the work. I hope you enjoy your gifts, I'll be on my way."

 

>In the present box lies two canes, much like the one he had given Twilight, but under neath that was the true present

 

>Discord had given them a book on time travelling and many pictures of them being together

 

>He even had written a note saying he is truly sorry for all the trouble he causes Noctis in the name of his own entertainment

 

>Touched, Noctis takes action

 

Noctis:" Now wait Discord, before you go, I want to give you something. This present really shows that you're not that bad of a person on the inside."

 

>Noctis turns to face Luna

 

Noctis:" Luna, I think I know just what to give him. "

 

Luna:" What could we possibly give Discord?"

 

Noctis:" His freedom. That would mean a lot to him, I can tell. Even though Discord has been an asshole to me, I think he deserves it. He has truly learned what friendship is. This Discord, compared to the one you told me about, is a reformed Discord, Luna."

 

Luna:" You know I never doubt your judgement Noctis, but are you sure?"

 

Noctis:" I am willing to swear on my life Luna."

 

Luna:" Then let's do it."

 

Celestia:" Are you sure Noctis? Discord was Luna and I's most difficult villain to defeat. I don't want that happening again."

 

Noctis:" He's changed Celestia, and if by the off chance he isn't, then we can banish him to a place where he can spread as much chaos as he wishes, in loneliness."

 

>Discord is still standing at the opposite end of the snow filled courtyard

 

Discord:" Is there really something you would like to give me? Or is this just a prank for the little cane thing?"

 

Noctis:" Discord, since we first met, I have always been annoyed by you, but in a good way. Except the very first time when you really had pissed me off. But Discord, what I am about to give you does not come in a physical form, but I know you'll enjoy it just the same."

 

Discord:" Oh what could it be? A sentiment of love or friendship? Please, I don't need any cheesy moments, I'll just go back to my Home Prison and I'll just sit there until you want or need me again."

 

Noctis:" You see, that's the thing Discord, the gift I'm giving you, is your freedom. You are no longer bound by our will. You are free to be your own person, so long as you don't intentionally harm innocent ponies."

 

Discord:" Free? As in free willed? As in, I don't have to be a slave to the royal family anymore Free? Is this a dream? Is this reality? Is this just a sick and twisted fantasy ?"

 

Noctis:" No, it's reality Discord. You don't have to cater to our demands, you're free"

 

Discord:" What made you think you can trust me?"

 

Noctis:" Because I can tell you have truly changed Discord. I have heard many tales about you in times since before I was here. I also heard what happened the night of the Gala. You refused to join Nightmare Moon in her quest to take over Equestria when she took over my Dear Luna."

 

Luna:" Discord, you have helped us in many times of need. It merely is the least we can do to repay you. You have done far more than we originally planned. It seems we always feared you being out of control. We feared what your chaos and disharmony can do to our established kingdom of Equestria."

 

>Tears begin to drip down Discord's face

 

Discord:" You truly do not know how much this means to me. I am glad you trust me at last to be the good person I am. Merry Christmas to you all, see you next time."

 

>Discord then snaps away with tears on his face, waving goodbye

 

Noctis:" You know, I guess I really have a soft spot for him. When he and I first met we definitely got off on the wrong foot. He was just so irritating and annoying and all the shit he said to me about humans just made me furious. But he's really grown on me, and he's helped us out more than he needed to. He even helped with the decorations for our wedding. I hope I see him sometime again."

 

Luna:" When I had first met Discord, he was an evil tyrant who had spread chaos and disharmony throughout Equestria. Things were all out of whack. Celestia and I finally defeated him one day. Never did I think that he would befriend me over a thousand years afterwards. He is still more than capable of mass hysteria, but I believe since he has accepted friendship into his heart, he won't be doing anyone harm. I'm glad we gave Discord his freedom, he always was more of a free spirit."

 

Celestia:" I remember those times to sister. Discord definitely has earned this."

 

Noctis:" Well I think we should get inside the throne room before the snow gets heavier and covers us all. Besides discussing these kinds of things should be done in privacy. Come on, let's go."

 

>The three walk inside the castle after their huge snowball war and their gift to Discord

 

>They find the throne room completely decorated in holiday festivities and also has statues of Noctis, Luna, and Celestia in the space inbetween the windows.

 

>They hear one final snap and the lights that decorate the Christmas Trees and the statues all light up in unison

 

Noctis:" Discord... you lovable prick. You had to have done this. If you're anywhere around, I just want to say thanks for this, you really went further than you needed to. Thanks for your amazing Christmas gifts, they are truly appreciated."

 

Luna:" This is magnificent! I am surprised he pulled this off so quickly. I guess this truly does show that Discord is a good person at heart, even though his love for chaos is big. He's more light hearted with his chaos, he no longer uses it for evil. Thank you Discord for everything, wherever you are, I'm sure you're listening.

 

Celestia:" This work is astonishing indeed. Well that certainly does help us out, as one of the things I needed to talk to you two about were the decorations, but seeing as Discord decided to do it himself, I can say that's taken off the list."

 

Noctis:" Then what else do we need to talk about Celestia?"

 

Celestia:" Well I was going to request that tonight that the stars can form into constellations of Christmas trees."

 

Luna:" Tis an easy thing to do Sister, anything else?"

 

Celestia:" Well I am going to need your help sorting out all the Royal presents people bring us, it is a bit ridiculous."

 

Luna:" You mean your presents? I get abysmal gifts from 1 or 2 citizens and a gift from you and that's normally all."

 

Celestia:" I know most people never really gave gifts to you, but that was because they feared you and thought you had no time for things like gifts and the holidays, trust me. This year will be different Luna, you and Noctis have won over their hearts and I mean just a couple of weeks ago we celebrated your return! So many people were happy to see you again! I'm sure you'll get tons of gifts, as will you Noctis, but you both will still get a gift from me."

 

Noctis:" So all we need to do is sort our presents? That isn't too tough."

 

Celestia:" And lastly, would you please spend the day with me here? Luna would normally need her sleep at this time but I see her body clock has adjusted to your new life style. Would you please be in the throne room with me and spend time with me? Of course we will have to do the Christmas celebration first, but I don't think you'd mind."

 

Noctis:" A Christmas celebration? Sounds like fun honestly."

 

Luna:" I'd love to be a part of it Sister! T'would be an amazing time."

 

Celestia:" I'm so glad you both want to be a part of this, it really means a lot to me. I'm really happy to see how far we've come as a family. Every moment I spend with the two ponies I care about the most, I treasure."

 

Luna:" Noctis and I are the ponies you care for the most? Honestly, I thought you still partially believed that I was part evil and were afraid of me."

 

Celestia:" Of course you're the ponies I care about the most, you're my family, and family has to stick together. I never feared you sister, I feared for our people. I did what was in their best interest. I always loved you Luna, and I always will."

 

Luna:" Oh Sister, I love you."

 

>Luna begins to cry a little

 

Celestia:" Oh come here, give me a hug Luna."

 

>Luna then rushes over to hug Celestia

 

>The three continue their conversation until the celebration begins

 

Celestia:" Alright you two, we have a celebration to attend."

 

Noctis:" I guess we do, let's go then. After all this has to be a Merry Christmas doesn't it?"

 

Luna:" Come on, this is sure to be an excellent time. I mean when I'm spending it with the two ponies I care most about, any time is a good time."

 

Celestia:" I'm glad to know you feel the same way about me that I do for you. I love you Luna."

 

Noctis:" I also love you Luna, more than anything ever."

 

Luna:" I suppose this calls for a group hug doesn't it?"

 

Celestia:" I believe it does Sister."

 

>The three hug together in spirit of the Christmas season

 

Noctis:" Let's go to the Hall of Glass then, It's Christmas time."

 

>They go to the Hall of Glass to have their celebration

 

>Everyone they know is there and they all get gifts for each other

 

>Twilight Gives the three A book on family bonding

 

>Applejack gives them all a bunch of apple seeds for them to grow together

 

>Rainbow Dash preforms a Sonic Rainboom for them and gives them Daring Do books

 

>Fluttershy gives Noctis and Luna pets, Noctis gets a falcon and Luna gets an opossum and Fluttershy gets Celestia's pet Phoenix a toy

 

>Rarity gives them Christmas themed outfits

 

>Pinkie Pie gives them all party in a box gifts

 

Noctis:" I seriously can't thank you all enough for this, I wish I could give you better presents in return, but I can offer you all each your own star in the night sky, these gifts mean a lot to me."

 

Luna:" All of you have given us amazing gifts, these are more gifts than I have ever been given any Christmas. Thank you all so much, I love you all my wonderful friends!"

 

Celestia:" I have to say , these are the most thoughtful Christmas gifts I have received in a long time, thank you Twilight, for your gift on family bonding, I'm so happy you got me this, I'm sure you noticed how much I wished to be with Luna and befriend her better. Thank you all so much, this is the best Christmas ever."

 

Twilight:" Noctis, no need to give us any gifts back, you deserve these after all that you've been through since you came here. You didn't come asking for trouble, but it found you. I'm sure all you wanted was a peaceful life, but you went through so many hardships to get there. "

 

Noctis:" I can honestly say that I never expected any of this to happen. I still don't know what freak accident ended up sending me here, but I couldn't be happier. I spent a week here all by myself, staying in a house in Canterlot. I minded my business. Didn't really care for anyone because no one really wanted to know me, they just wanted to know what I was. No one cared about who I was, everyone just wanted to know what I was. I grew tired of the life style. But it was still a nice change from the war that was everywhere. But then Luna came into my life. She offered her friendship to me that one night, why I was so excited, I had a horrible dream about a gay bath house. Luna eventually managed to snap me out of it. "

 

Celestia:" Well it is great to have had you here Noctis, and it's even better to have you as a brother. I love you Noctis, I know we all can't replace your family and friends, but we're still here for you. We still love you just like they did. You mean a lot to us, believe it. We are your new family and friends, and although we may not be the same, we will always support you."

 

Noctis:" You know, I miss having family and friends who care about me. I haven't seen my old ones in what feels like forever. Things really fell apart after the war. I was drafted, and I ended up in the robot pilot division. I saw things that you couldn't imagine. Luna , the things my evil counterpart pulled off during our trial was only a mere taste of what war. You guys are the best family and friends ever, you were better than my old ones. You loved me more than they ever did. After my father died, there was nothing keeping my family together, and my friends abandoned me."

 

Noctis:" Even my girlfriend and her sister who had taken me as a part of their family deserted me once I was drafted into the war. After seeing many horrible acts of cruelty done by the weapons I possessed, I went AWOL. I abandoned my duties as a soldier and tried to get back to my old house, just to see it again, but as I got there, boom. Everything turned into ashes under the power of the bomb. I was still wearing my anti-nuke armor so I was unaffected. You know when I first came here, I barely remembered them. Celestia even had found a way to send me back before the war, but I would have been doomed from the start. The more time I spend here, the more memories come back, and now I can say I remember it all."

 

Luna:" Noctis, I have witnessed the destruction through your dreams. I even witnessed the destruction first hand when your evil counterpart had sought out conquest of the alternate world. I know I can never replace your girlfriend, but I have been doing my best as your wife to take care of you. "

 

Noctis:" You see the way you all are better is that you all do not have the human sins that plague all of my kind. Your emotions are real. You ACTUALLY love me. And I truly do love you Luna. I truly love you all. You are all the family I always wished I had. You remind me a lot of my old one. But you're so wonderfully different. You all are truly loving and caring. You have given more care to me in the few months I have been here than my family and friends have all my life. Thank you all everyone. You are the most wonderful friends and family in the world."

 

Twilight:" Noctis, I didn't really know what to think of you when I first met you but you but you really grew on me over time. We do love you for you."

 

Luna:" You're the most wonderful husband in the world Noctis. I treasure all of our moments together. This has been the best Christmas of my entire life. You are my life Noctis. I wouldn't trade you for anyone else. Noctis I love you."

 

Noctis:" I love you to Luna, more than everyone here. I love you all as my family. I love you as my friends. Celestia, you are better than any sister ever. Twilight, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie, you're all my very best friends. I would never give you up for anything in this world or the next. Luna, you mean the most to me out of anyone here. If you didn't offer me your friendship, I would have been living a cold and lonely life, wallowing in my depression and sorrow. If it weren't for you, I would have disposed of myself months ago."

 

Luna:" If it weren't for you Noctis, Nightmare Moon and I would have never been at peace. My Sister and I surely wouldn't be as close together, and the citizens would still hate and fear me. You have changed all our lives Noctis, thank you for being so wonderful. And you know what, maybe we can use that time spell Discord gave us to let you see your old home again some day."

 

Noctis:" Thank you Luna, the amount of things you do for me never go unappreciated. I am grateful for every single thing you do for me and every single moment we share. Merry Christmas Luna, I have gotten this gift for you, I made it myself."

 

>Noctis hands over his gift to Luna

 

Luna:" May I open it now?"

 

Noctis:" I wouldn't be giving it to you now if I didn't want you to open it, my Sweet Princess."

 

>Luna excitedly opens up her gift

 

>Inside the box was a poem Noctis wrote proclaiming his undying love for her

 

>Underneath the poem lied a beautifully hoof stitched robe that had been designed to look like the night sky

 

>This robe was not made by Rarity although it was on the same exact quality of one of Rarity's works

 

>It was made by none other than Noctis

 

>The robe was a misty dark blue, similar to the color of the coat of her fur, but different enough to stand out

 

>There were little stars embroidered on the magnificent robe

 

>Luna looks at it in awe and pure euphoria

 

Luna:" Oh Noctis! This is the most beautiful gift ever! All I needed was your love and that was also all I wanted! But you went the extra mile and got me this wonderful and amazing gift. Thank you so much!"

 

Noctis:" It was my pleasure Luna, go ahead, put it on, I'm sure it will look magnificent on you. It does my heart good when I see you truly enjoy a gift. I just wanted to make and give an amazing gift to an amazing pony, to an amazing wife."

 

>Luna hastily uses magic to put on the robe and it fit absolutely perfectly

 

>Every single curve of Luna's body was replicated in the robe

 

>It had perfectly cut out spaces for her tail and wings

 

>Her tail flowed majestically through the robe

 

Luna:" Noctis, this is the most comfortable robe I have ever worn! I'll wear it in good taste my love. Thank you for this amazing gift, from an amazing husband. I love you so much Noctis."

 

Noctis:" I love you to Luna."

 

>The two engage in a romantic, sweet, and passionate kiss as the rest smile and give the two their privacy

 

Luna:" This truly is the best christmas I have ever had in all of my life Noctis."

 

Noctis:" I have to agree, I haven't celebrated christmas in a year or two because of the war that ended up wiping out my race. It's so nice to have a loving family and loving friends. I seriously can not stress that enough. I don't know where I would be without you all. I know I sound like a broken record but its just so wonderful to be with you. Luna I would give up anything so long as I can be with you. After all you did say our love would last forever."

 

Luna:" And it will Noctis, I swear. Our love will never be broken, save for that one time with Chrysalis, but that's a different case. Our love will always keep us connected, for all our lives."

 

Noctis:" Oh Luna, you make me the happiest person ever. I love you more than any combination of words or actions can ever describe."

 

Luna:" Noctis, you always know how to make me smile, kiss me."

 

>Noctis kisses Luna without hesitation and then Celestia and the others return

 

Celestia:" Thank you both for spending the entire day with me, but now it's time to raise your beautiful moon and make your stars shine. If it isn't too much trouble, can I spend the night with you two? As a family? Twilight and her friends must go and spend time with their families, so I thought we could spend time together as one to."

 

Noctis:" I'd love that Celestia, how about you my dear?"

 

Luna:" I'd love it aswell, I love spending time with you Sister, you know that."

 

Celestia:" Oh thank you so much! All I wanted for christmas is for us to spend time together as a family."

 

>Celestia pulls Noctis and Luna in for a group hug and they all share their family love with each other

 

Noctis:" Ah these group hugs are always nice Celestia. You really make me feel like a beloved family member. It's just so nice to have a family again. I love you Sister, and I love you Luna."

 

Celestia:" I love you to Brother, you and I have come a long way since we first met. I remember when you first came here, I simply wanted to know what you were, but I had no intention of ever finding out more about you. And now look at us. You're an Alicorn, you're the husband of my dearest sister Luna, and you're my brother. I certainly can say I didn't ever see this coming, but I am glad it happened and that we are a family."

 

Luna:" None of us ever expected things to turn out the way they did, but no one is complaining. We're happy the way we are."

 

Noctis:" I'm certainly happy with my life here. I never want anything to change, and I'm sure we never will. "

 

>They then go to finally make the night happen at last

 

>Celestia does her part to lower the sun to make room for the Moon

 

>Luna and Noctis raise the moon and then work on arranging the stars into Christmas themed constellations

 

Noctis:" The night sky really does show the festivity of the holiday. I'm sure this night sky is inspiring to those who have been having a rough time. I really wish something like this was possible in the human world, lord knows I needed a cheering up a lot, especially during the holidays since my father passed. Ah no matter what I do, my father always ends up fighting his way to the front of my thoughts. A stubborn man even in thought. Oh how I miss him."

 

Celestia:" You know Noctis, Luna and I know how you feel."

 

Noctis:" You do?"

 

Luna:" Indeed, we had lost our father a very long time ago, before we even lost our mother, but his death still resonates within our minds every so often. Our father was someone who was beloved by everyone. He could make anyone in the kingdom smile. When he passed away, he left us with many unfulfilled promises."

 

Noctis:" Exactly like my father..."

 

Noctis:" You know, my father and I had done many things together, and what makes me feel sad is that most of the time, I was hesitant to do things with him. No matter how many good times we had, I still feared my own father when I was younger. He was a wonderful father but he passed away too soon. I feel bad for fearing him, but I always did love him to. He promised we would go many places and do many things, but those promises were left unfulfilled."

 

Celestia:" I'm sorry to hear that Noctis, but come on, let's think about good times instead of bad. Happy memories instead of sad. "

 

Luna:" Let's just enjoy the holiday. After all it is still Christmas."

 

Noctis:" You've got a point. Come on, just like my family used to say, Tis the season to be jolly."

 

>The three open up the Castle doors and allow any citizens to come in and visit

 

>They are happy to see some friendly faces around, lightening up their spirits

 

>After a while Twilight and her family shows up, and by extension Cadence

 

Cadence:" Celestia! Luna! Anon! So great to see you again! We certainly don't see each other enough!"

 

Noctis:" Great to see you to Cadence! Hard to believe how long it's been since I last saw you. It's been so long that you don't even know about my new name. Call me Noctis please."

 

Cadence:" Noctis, what a wonderful name! I'm honestly just so happy to see you! I'm sorry Shining Armor and I couldn't make it to the celebration of your return so long ago, we wanted to see you but we had duties to do. Remember, we're still your friends. If you ever want to talk to us, please feel free to stop by the Crystal Empire. After all, our citizens really love the way you make the night sparkle and shine! They'd love to meet you!"

 

Luna:" Well we'll just have to visit! We really don't see each other enough and we should spend more time with each other. Celestia could even come with us!"
