Title: RAMS from RAMHALLA outline by Leth Author: Anonymous Pastebin link: http://pastebin.com/eahd2gGH First Edit: Saturday 14th of April 2012 12:03:50 AM CDT Last Edit: Saturday 14th of April 2012 12:03:50 AM CDT RAMS   from   RAMHALLA   OUTLINE   Scene One – Call to the North   Twilight and spike messing with alchemy Twilight having problems figuring it out Getting frustrated Spike offering to help Spike's 'help' doesn't end up helping too much Twilight's brew gets ruined by spike, but she doesn't notice Twilight continues making brew Adds an ingredient Massive explosion Twilight's not too happy with Spike Twilight continuing alchemy practice Attempting to get a medicinal brew to work properly Can't quite get it right, it just never seems to come together After failing to get it right AGAIN, Twilight gets a bit depressed While consoling her, Spike gets a letter The letter from Celestia explains that Equestria's neighbors, the Rams of Ramhalla, haven't made their regular shipments to Phillydelphia. Requests to have the mane six travel to Phillydelphia, then take a boat along their normal return route back to Ramhalla The letter mentions there will be three Pegasus chariots coming tomorrow to pick them all up. Twilight eventually convinces Spike it wouldn't be a good idea to come.   Scene Two – The Port, Phillydelphia   All 6 ponies are gathered at the outskirts of town, packed and ready It'll be cold up there, so they've got warm clothing packed and ready Small chatter over Rams, their culture, and speculations as to why they've missed their recent shipments Eventually carriages come by to pick them up Uneventful flight to Phillydelphia Amazing port town, south of Canterlot, beyond the Whitetail woods. Land at the port town, the ponies ooh and ahh over it all Only Rarity had ever been there before, for a particular fashion craze that had been imported Rarity wants to go shopping here, and here, and oh, heeere! Twilight insists they head straight for the ship, as there isn't much time before it's ready to set sail Other ponies begrudgingly agree Make their way to the boat The captain and crew are quite friendly and boastful of their skills, though they'd never actually been to Ramhalla before Twilight and the rest help prepare for the ride   Scene Three – The Long Sail   AJ discovers quickly that she is not extremely adept at Seafaring, gets sick Fluttershy immensely enjoys the whale watching she can do from the deck Rarity attempts to convince the captain to take a detour to a good clamming spot, for pearls Twilight continues to read about her studies on Alchemy Rainbow Dash flies around the ship, unwilling to sit by on deck Pinkie Pie has fun talking with the crew about their many adventures The ponies had made it most of the way to Ramhalla The weather started to turn very cold Eventually, there's unusual turbulence at the boat Crow's nest pony exclaims “KRAKEN!”   Scene Four – The Wreck   They do what they can against the Kraken AJ is rather helpless against the beast RD does pretty good at distracting it Twilight does her best at telekineticlly attacking the tentacles as they assault the ship Fluttershy tries to convince it to stop Rarity makes sure that none of their stuff gets ruined while fighting off tentacles with a pony sword (which is kind of like a big needle to her) Pinkie easily avoids all the attacks, while biting the creature Captain tries his best to get out from under the attack, but ultimately fails The ship buckles and is pulled under During the confusion and aftermath, Twilight manages to save Pinkie, and finds the rest of her friends on the leftover flotsam Rainbow and Fluttershy can't find any trace of the rest of the crew, but can see shore Ponies swim and make it to shore, all through the icy water, they arrive at the beach cold and exhausted Make campfire for the night, try to figure out what to do Twilight's map is still readable, she figures they're a lot closer to Ramhalla, and trying to walk back to Equestria would be suicide.   Scene Five – The Tundra   The ponies collect whatever assets they have after scavenging the shipwreck Begin the trek north, cutting inland to save themselves a lot of time, rather than going along the coast Nasty snowstorm begins, hampering their progress Ponies seek shelter in a cave Take time to rest Rainbow Dash encounters Steinhorn, a Ram scouting out from Ramhalla. The initial meeting isn't exactly pleasant. Eventually they both cool down and figure out who each other are. Rainbow guides him back to the cave, and meets up with the other ponies, who are fighting off a Yeti, who just happened to be living deeper in the cave than the ponies had ventured. Steinhorn dispatches the Yeti with the help of the ponies. Steinhorn tells the ponies about what's wrong with Ramhalla; a plague has been strangling the community, halting all exports and threatening the whole city. The only known cure for the ailment comes from a rare magical flower, said to only bloom in the deepest caves of the frozen tundra, drawing nourishment from the forces of magic itself After some rest, the ponies and Steinhorn venture deeper into the cave, wary of any other Yeti's that may have taken residence in the depths. No flower found Dejected, the ponies return to the mouth of the cave, and continue to Ramhalla, as the snowstorm has passed   Scene Six – Ramhalla   After a day's journey, the group come across Ramhalla The city is very inactive, save for a few rams coming and going from houses, tired and dejected looks on their faces Steinhorn takes them to meet Thorfaust, the elder of the city Elder goes into more detail about the flower, and introduces Hildafleece, a fairly young sheep that explains to them their problems so far with treating the disease. Hildafleece is quite confident she can make the cure with the flower, it should be no problem for her skills. Ponies spend the rest of the day in town, learning of Ram culture, and fully determining themselves to end this plague.   Scene Seven – The Expedition   The ponies prepare for the Ram's final hope: A cave that hasn't been explored in centuries due to an ancient curse. Thorfaust begs them not to go, but they refuse to give up on the whole town. Ponies and Steinhorn leave toward said cave. Long, brutal trek, at least 2 days walk. Come across and fight a Jörmungandr (big, nasty worm thing) Eventually manage to fight off the giant worm More looking, talking between the characters Finally approach the 'cursed' cave   Scene Eight – The Frozen Depths   The ponies and Steinhorn make their way through the caves, dealing with darkness, dead-ends, and large caverns along the way. Cave in happens, very exciting stuff about avoiding it all and such. Dust themselves off, going deeper into the cave Eventually come to what seems to be a throne room Meet a Jötnar (ice giant), with the fabled flower nearby, being lovingly tended to by him The Jötnar refuses to give up the flower at first Steinhorn has to prove himself to the Giant before he'll allow the flower to be taken Steinhorn eventually prevails from all the tests, after some encouragement and strategy help from the ponies The Giant helps then leave the cave through an unorthodox exit   Scene Nine – The Return   The group makes a hasty return to the village, as there isn't much time left They make it back to find the village in much worse shape than they left it Hildafleece was hit hard and fast by the plague Eventually revealed that she has just been hiding her symptoms, and hadn't been treating it at all Defaults to Twilight needing to make the cure for the village She falters, as it's an extremely similar mix to what she'd been attempting to do before they left, and she still hadn't figured it out Gets an inspirational speech about being self-confident, and manages to make the potion in time to save the village   Scene Ten – The Voyage Home   After a few days in Ramhalla, helping all the rams recover proper, a makeshift boat sails into port The captain and crew had managed to escape to an island after the Kraken attack Twilight and the rest say goodbye to the Rams that they've befriended on the adventure Thorfaust makes sure to thank them for 'breaking the curse' on the cave before they leave, implies that he knew of the Ice Giant they met in there The crew of the wrecked ship and the ponies take a boat from Ramhalla that now has enough of a crew to get to Phillydelphia Ends with Twilight writing to Celestia while on the boat ride back to Equestria
