https://pastebin.com/HaBkaA4m I've been messing about lightly with hypnosis recordings for a few years, listening to a file once or twice that appeals to me, then just leaving it for ages if I pick it up again at all. I'm OK with trancing, I think, but effects usually don't last for very long, and I often don't stick with a file long enough to give them a chance to (since while I enjoy the idea of messing around with my head like that, they're rarely anything I'd want to have a permanent effect). Wanted to report on my experiences with the files the thread's been producing as a way of contributing since I don't really trust my scriptwriting ability and don't have access to any decent recording equipment (and know almost sod all about cleaning up audio). Started up the Twilight file with intention of trying it out and reporting the effects and my experiences with the other files, wound up starting it while still under. Begins below, jump down to the last paragraph for comments on the audio/script of the file itself. -------- CONFOUND THESE HOOVES Ahem. Dear Hypnothread, I have been meaning to test some of these files on myself and compose a report on the results for a few days now and a rather... enthralling picture of myself upthread I decided that it must be done tonight. I have previously listened to the original Fluttershy file, the genderbent Fluttershy made by the wonderful people here, and twice to the White version of the Twilight file. --- Ok, the effects wore off about here. Thank goodness too, since just typing up that bit above took me 20 minutes (making the total effect time probably 30 minutes), first leaning over the laptop and typing with one... fist?, then resting the laptop on the bed while I was on the floor and reaching up to it, then finally resting it on the floor on its lid, with one arm (typed leg first, whoops) holding the screen down and gripping the audio jack in my teeth to hold it steady while I used my remaining fist to carefully press the keys one by one. Ridiculous. I think if I get this success again and feel the need to write, I'll just have to try the Lyra pose, because that just wasn't working. **PREVIOUS LISTENS** Anyway, continuing the report, both the original WMM and our genderbent Fluttershy files affected me similarly, very weak mental effects (Just a general shy bent to my thoughts), some physical effects I'm having trouble remembering the details of now (hooves worked a bit on one, had better luck with the butt stuff on these than I have on the Twilight ones, our one I recall did a better job of adding the wings than the original did, didn't test walking at all), neither time lasted very long. First time with the Whiteboy V2 Twilight file the mental effects were pretty weak but the hooves stuck pretty well and I simply couldn't balance at all on 2 legs when I tried. I think a few of the other physical effects worked too, but can't really remember the details apart from the horn not working at all. Lasted for a little while, until I decided to end it to get on with something else. Second time I prefaced it with the "Blank" file someone's mentioned over on the forum (Funny coincidence, I had been really enjoying that file of late and had considered mentioning it here, but decided against it given the whole "blankly obeying" and "able to be triggered by others" aspects, since I've seen some people freaking out over similar ideas at some points in this thread, so I figured it probably wasn't fully suitable for the thread's purpose). Kept getting knocked out of deep trance by something throughout the latter half of the Blank file and through the Twilight file, and what little effects there were faded pretty quickly. I've never had any visualisations with any of the files, only (when it works well) a complete non-noticing of the things that are in my field of vision that don't fit. **THIS LISTEN** Tonight I ran the Blank file again, followed by the Taurus BGM Twilight file. Unlike the times before, the mental effects were pretty noteworthy. I knew I was the result of a hypno file, but I also knew I was Twilight, with personality based on the stuff that the file went over (Good job to the scriptwriter who added all that stuff in, much more effective than the old file) with more parts of my normal personality added in as time went on, until eventually I realised it was mostly gone and most of the remaining effects collapsed (closed fist/stuck on four legs effect didn't go away until I deliberately ended it, though) When the file ended I spent a while getting used to my movement and doing a check through of which of the physical effects that I could recall from the file had worked (Butt still didn't work very well this time, I forgot the ears completely, eyes were weak, mouth was weak, hooves were medium, face was medium, tail was weak, mane was weak, horn came out pretty well) since I wanted to be able to report on them. Once that was done, I immediately wanted to try out my magic. Spent a while straining my horn trying to move a small wrapper I placed on the ground for testing, before collapsing since that actually tired me for some reason. Was saddened when it didn't work, but quickly perked up once I realised it just meant I could be the first to get it to work, since I knew the failure wasn't my inability, just the weird way in which I'd... become? As I said, I was aware that I'd come about from a hypnosis file, and that stuff was different from my usual world. Anyway, once that was done I started writing the report at the top, since Twilight Sparkle; why would I wait until after the effects were over when I could get the report done now? Went through all the ridiculousness I already explained, with a couple more attempts to depress the keys with magic when I got thoroughly fed up with the innacuracy of my hooves and one attempt to directly press the "No" button on the screen with magic when bloody stickykeys popped up since, hey, maybe manipulating something digital'll be easier than the physical stuff I'd tried. As I was writing I kept moving into positions that didn't make sense for a pony, realising and moving to something more comfortable, then realising I couldn't really operate the keys in that pose and moving back, repeat. It was rather annoying. Eventually it wore off, and I've explained all that already. **FILE COMMENTS** With regards to the file itself, I think I preferred the voicework on this one to the previous one; I know people have been saying to keep it monotone, but I've always preferred files where the speaker's a bit more expressive: not excitable or anything, but still with clear highs and lows in the speech and emphasis where appropriate. The additional personality sections breaking up the transformation segments like that works really well I thought. I wouldn't have expected it to; I would have though going away from the transformative effects and then coming back to them would have resulted in the earlier ones being forgotten and not sticking, but it seemed to work well, and give them time to "settle" or "solidify" or something before moving onto the next transformation. The parts that all came in together after the last personality segment on the other hand didn't seem to work as well for me, since I wouldn't quite finish working out how one transformation'd go before I had to move onto the next. Also, while I didn't notice it while looking at the script earlier in the day I felt while listening that this one had a little bit more repetition of some elements in it than the previous version (can't remember which now, though), and I always find that really helps effects stick with me. Hope that big ol' wall of text helps somehow, thanks to everyone that's involved for putting these things together.
