See the end of the work for more notes The ball zoomed towards him and Eijun huffed angrily, stepping in and swinging the bat. With a crack he hit a grounder right at the 3rd baseman's feet. He scowled and prepared for the next ball. Clearing his mind was hard, harder than Eijun had expected it to be, even when his hands and body were forced to keep up with rigorous batting practice. His thoughts annoyingly kept coming back to that one moment, the moment, when just the day before he'd confessed to the person his heartbeat always quickened around. It was embarrassing and, honestly, long overdue, but he finally did it. He gathered up his courage and did it. Furthermore, his confession was accepted, and Eijun would be floating on cloud nine right about now, drunk on happiness, if that was all there was to it. But it wasn't. His eyes narrowed into angry slits, Eijun's bat connected again. The ball flew through the air in a perfect arch right into the empty spot behind the shortstop and center. Deaf to the murmurs of surprise around him, Eijun was still scowling. Halloween was in a few days. He'd confessed now, hoping, wishing, that the buzzed atmosphere would work on his crush as well. Maybe it did, maybe it didn't; he never got to check. Another crack, another ball flying across the field. Even his good batting couldn't chase the angry frown off his face. "Yo, Sawamura, what's with you today?" Kuramochi called out with a sharp grin. "Planning to shake up the batting lineup?" Eijun's jaw clicked in silent anger. "If that is enough to shake our lineup then we should be worried about our chances at Koushien, don't you think, senpai?" As if to add insult to injury, Miyuki appeared next to Kuramochi, his annoying laughter bristling the hair on Eijun's nape with the remainder of that day: surprised bronze eyes, warm, flushed cheeks, hesitant words, acceptance and genuine smiles... Eijun confessed. Miyuki accepted. Through his harshly beating heart, and blushing, heated face, he remembered the tingly feeling of Miyuki's breath on his cheek as their faces came closer and closer and closer... Only to be interrupted by Kuramochi bursting through the door of Miyuki's room like it was his own. Eijun gripped the bat harder and when the next ball came at him, he imagined Kuramochi's face between the seams and put all his frustration into his swing, missing the white dot by a mile. The force pulled him along and he twisted on his heel and plopped down on his butt in the batter's box to the laughter of everyone watching. Somehow, it stung more than it ever had before. Goddamn it all, Eijun wanted that kiss. He never thought he'd be so obsessed with something other than baseball, but it was hard to not think of Miyuki's lips when he was so close to kissing them the other day. Eijun had caught himself wondering what it would feel like to kiss Miyuki, to touch their lips together, breathe Miyuki's air, share it and spill it into each other until their heartbeats thrummed as one. Eijun blushed, Eijun flushed, Eijun grew hot, and he kept fantasizing. What if Miyuki's lips were chapped from the wind and the sun? Or were they soft like flower petals? Maybe they were warm and gentle like peaches, or cold and hard like steel... He reasoned that they were probably a little split and torn apart like his own. They spent too much time outside to have lips pampered like a girl's. But they would be warm – they were in Eijun's imagination – chapped and warm, and so, so gentle when sliding against his own as if he was the most precious thing Miyuki was trying to protect and keep safe; and yet pressing into Eijun with a roughness that Miyuki always had, that was always present in that subtle, almost unnoticeable way that was uniquely Miyuki's. They'd be perfect. And Eijun's mind couldn't stop. It spun in wild, untamed need. In class, it made Eijun's eyes glaze and his lips itch. In the dorm, while doing homework, it made him shift, unfocused and wanting. In practice, it made his fingers slip on the ball, sending it out of the strike zone. In his dreams– Eijun's breath faltered, his cheeks panting red. In his dreams Miyuki's lips moved, they travelled and bewitched, and Eijun gladly gave himself over for just a taste, just a feel of them on his skin, chapped and warm and good. He always woke up frustrated and craving the kiss even more, but there was just no time for it. From early morning they were surrounded by people, practice, classes, more practice, after practice practice, until the very moment they slipped into their beds after the lights-out. Even if Eijun pulled Miyuki away at some point, just to press close to him and steal all protests directly off his tongue, they would be found out in a matter of seconds. And as much as Eijun needed to kiss Miyuki, he didn't want to share the sight of those warm eyes and flushed cheeks with anyone. So he was left fantasizing and dreaming, and craving, always wanting a taste and never getting it.   ===============================================================================   Like any of the others before, Eijun's dreams were always about Miyuki, Miyuki and his lips. And kisses. Lots and lots of kisses. Soft and tender, chase and innocent, building up to passionate and needy, deep and shallow, and Eijun was melting. Miyuki's arms were holding him against his chest and his breath was one with Eijun's as their lips pressed together time and time again. Eijun's heart hammered in his chest, happy and excited. He pulled Miyuki's head to himself, keeping him as close as he could, while his fingers tangled in the brown hair, messing it up with sick pleasure. Distracted with the warm lips on his, Eijun would have missed what his fingers didn't, but the need for air was as dire in the dream world as it was in the real one, so when he pulled back for a breath, his eyes caught up to what his body instinctively had already noticed. On the top of Miyuki's head, right from behind his ears and hidden in his hair, two horns curled up in a mischievous and slightly terrifying way that made Eijun's hazy mind pause. "What–" Miyuki's lips, the same ones Eijun had been kissing, quirked. A sharp fang poked his lower lip and Eijun's gut twisted. It looked dangerous, but also thrilling and he couldn't help a shiver of pure excitement. Arms tightened around his waist, a hand lifted to his face – sharp, black nails grazing Eijun's skin. "You look so delicious," Miyuki said. His eyes were shining with unhidden desire and Eijun burned for it, but there was also a gleam in that gaze that made him uneasy. "So bright," Miyuki kept talking, fascinated, as if he could see something he wanted, but didn't fully understand. "I bet your soul would be delightful, mm..." Alarms blared in Eijun's head. His soul? What? Wait, wait, hold on a second– "My soul?" he squawked, trying to step away from Miyuki, but the arms held him strong. A tail, long and nimble, which Eijun had noticed only just now, curled around his knee and up his thigh. It was hot even through the material of Eijun's pants. There was a sound of fabric being ripped and before Eijun noticed a pair of wings – similar to a bat's but bigger, much bigger – was growing out of Miyuki's back. They flapped majestically once, twice, and then a gust of wind stole Eijun's breath as they took into the air. "L-let me go, Miyuki!" he choked out once he could speak through the sudden fear clutching at his throat. The ground quickly disappeared below them and Eijun had no choice but to cling to Miyuki. "Oh no, no," Miyuki chuckled, a dark sound that made Eijun's arms cover in goosebumps. "I've waited such a long time for this moment, I'm going to enjoy myself." A nasty smirk appeared on his face. "Your soul will surely sustain me for many years to come, I've no doubts. It's such a pretty thing." Bronze eyes were bright, shining with inner light that almost made them yellow. Eijun noticed the split, cat-like pupils, and fear shook his breath. Miyuki was– He was– "You're a demon," he gasped out, his heart freezing from the realization. Miyuki tilted his head to the side, the horns, the sharp teeth, the hard, black nails, the tail, the harshly flapping wings; all of it a clear sign of what he was. And deep beneath the paralyzing fear Eijun was feeling, he knew was a heavy dose of unhealthy attraction. But his survival instinct was way stronger than the heat of desire, so Eijun fought against the strong grip of Miyuki's arms despite the risks of falling to his death. "Come now, don't struggle," Miyuki chided in a casual tone. "I promise it won't hurt." It made Eijun pause. He hesitatingly looked up. "And what will happen to me?" he asked. If Miyuki sucks his soul out, wouldn't he just– "Oh, you'll die," Miyuki replied carelessly. "But it's worth the pleasure, no?" No. No, no, no, that's definitely not worth– "Shall we do this, then?" Miyuki asked, leaning in close and despite Eijun's struggles holding his face firmly in his grasp. A smirk full of sharp teeth was all Eijun saw before Miyuki's lips pressed to his and– He woke up, tangled in his sheets and sweating like a pig, with heart beating out of his chest and blood ringing deafeningly in his ears. There was no way he would ever kiss Miyuki Kazuya. No way in hell.   ===============================================================================   So apparently when it was Eijun who was dying to kiss Miyuki, even the fate itself was against him. But when it was Miyuki who wanted to kiss Eijun, opportunities fell over each other to give him the chance to do it. Eijun would've pouted at how unfair it was, if he wasn't deathly pale and scared for his life (quite literally) every time Miyuki pulled him away from his class, the team, anyone really. "Wait, Miyuki, not here," he'd whisper, barely dodging Miyuki's lips. "Not now, someone can walk in on us," he'd say, pressing a firm hand to Miyuki's chest to keep them apart. "I want this to be special, not like this," he'd mumble, going for a hug instead of a kiss. Miyuki's frowns deepened the more Eijun did it, and he knew that there will come a time when Miyuki will figure out that something wasn't right. Eijun dreaded that time, but he dreaded the thought of dying just a little bit more. Yet the more Miyuki tried, and oh, he tried a lot, the more Eijun's defences melted. He went from fully avoiding Miyuki, to hugging him instead, until finally he allowed cheek kisses, chin kisses, nose kisses... Despite the danger, he wanted to kiss Miyuki. God, he wanted it so badly... So he kissed the corner of Miyuki's mouth. He kissed Miyuki's cupid's bow. He kissed the drop under Miyuki's bottom lip. Miyuki had teased him at first, but when a week of that had passed, Eijun could see the change in his eyes. Dark and concerned, they watched him from time to time with this strange look, as if Miyuki was trying to figure him out and was missing a crucial piece in the puzzle Eijun's strange behaviour posed. Eijun felt bad about being the one to shut Miyuki down like that. The least he could do was to be honest with him. And so, his honesty had brought him to Miyuki's room on the night of Halloween. "So, what do you want?" Miyuki asked, leaning against the door that he'd closed after Eijun slipped inside unnoticed by anyone. "I–" Eijun wriggled his hands, suddenly nervous. "I want to try something." Miyuki looked at him for a while without a word. "Try what?" "I want to kiss you," Eijun admitted, and it felt so good, so freeing he almost forgot about his fears. "Just... just don't move okay?" "Okay." Miyuki stood in place, watching Eijun approach. The closer he got, the more pressure on his chest Eijun could feel. Could he kiss Miyuki? He wanted to, but could he really do it? He came over to tell him about his dream, but what if he could just kiss him and forget about it? Taking a deep breath as if he was about to jump off a cliff into an enraged ocean, Eijun closed the rest of the distance between them. His hands pressed to Miyuki's chest as a precaution and he leaned in. Miyuki's eyes, bronze and open, watched him, and frankly, Eijun could feel the embarrassment paint his cheeks and ears red, but he only scrunched shut his own eyes to block the sight and his thoughts, and pressed on. His heart hammered between his ribs and he could hear the hum of blood in his ears. His breath got shaky and unsteady. His lips trembled, he could feel it, but before he could panic and pull back, he touched Miyuki's. It was a brief, hesitant touch, but it was enough to spur on his imagination. The face of demon Miyuki appeared beneath his tightly shut eyelids, with brightly burning eyes and grinning at him, mouth full of sharp teeth. You'll die... Eijun reeled back, fear gripping him hard by the throat. "I can't!" He took a few steps back, unable to stand Miyuki's gaze and shaking his head in dread. "I can't, I can't, god, I can't do this!" "Is kissing me such a chore?" Eijun's head snapped up, but Miyuki wasn't looking at him. Eijun felt his heart clench. "No," he said. "It's not like that. I just–" He paused, because this was it: this was the moment he had to tell Miyuki the truth. He couldn't let him think it was something he did, that Miyuki was to blame for it. He wasn't. He didn't do anything... he didn't... "I had a dream," Eijun started, careful, swallowing his fear. "We kissed. And you... you ate my soul." The silence that fell between them was louder than Eijun's heartbeat. "I... ate... your soul?" Miyuki repeated, his voice strange enough that Eijun had to look at him. He didn't get to as much as open his eyes when Miyuki's eyes met his and the bastard burst out laughing. Eijun stared at him, scandalized, offended, hurt, while Miyuki just... laughed. And laughed. And laughed. The hurt quickly changed into anger and Eijun snapped. "Hey, this is a serious matter!" he shouted. "Your soul–" Miyuki choked out and heaved another laugh that left him bent in half and breathless. "Don't laugh at my fears, Miyuki Kazuya! I cannot believe you're such an insensitive git–" Miyuki interrupted him before Eijun could go on a rant about his nasty personality. "Why would I even want to eat your soul?" he asked, eyes still glowing in amusement. "I'm not sure I could digest that much noisiness." The sheer audacity of this guy...! Eijun screamed internally.   "I'm coming to you to share my fears and you," he spat, "you laugh at me and then you insult me in one breath! I can't even–" All of a sudden Miyuki was leaning forward and there were lips on Eijun's, cutting off whatever it was he wanted to say and turning his mind into mush. The first thing he realized was the fear curling in his gut, heavy and cold, but it became only a background discomfort when Eijun's attention switched to the fact that Miyuki's mouth was touching his and his soul was intact. Only then did he notice that Miyuki's lips, warm as he'd imagined, weren't chapped at all. They were smooth and slightly plump, and soft, so soft Eijun felt like he was kissing a cloud. Before he could react in any way, Miyuki was pulling back slightly, still hovering in his personal space. Bronze eyes lost the glow of amusement, and to Eijun's immense relief lacked that animalistic lust he remembered from his dreams. Instead, Miyuki looked at him with tenderness that made Eijun's heart do a backflip in his chest. Miyuki's hand was resting against Eijun's jaw, his thumb caressing the bone line. "Okay?" Miyuki asked in a soft voice. "Okay," Eijun whispered back, enchanted by the gentleness that was coming off Miyuki. "Can I kiss you again, then?" There was no laughter, no making fun of his ridiculous – now Eijun realized exactly how ridiculous – fears, and the carefully spoken words, asking for his permission and giving him the right to choose, the right to walk away; Miyuki's words made Eijun think back to just why he was in love with him in the first place. Without saying anything, Eijun shifted closer and lifted his chin, joining their lips. There was no need to voice his consent, he'd waited for this kiss for far too long. And finally it was time to have it. The warmth was familiar from his dreams, but even the second time Eijun didn't expect the soft, plump lips, he didn't expect to feel so overwhelmed by the sensation of them sliding against his own. When Miyuki's tongue, hot and slippery, slid into his mouth, the heat that coursed through Eijun's body and numbed him to anything else other than Miyuki proved to Eijun one thing: Miyuki wasn't a demon, but he was stealing Eijun's soul anyway. Weak in the knees, he was glad to have Miyuki's arms around him, so when they finally parted – eyes half closed and glowing with bright, tender love, cheeks dusted pink and lips deliciously swollen red – Eijun couldn't help but smile. "Liar," he huffed, pressing his chin to Miyuki's shoulder and hiding a grin that grew on his face. "You're out to steal my soul anyway." "Was I that obvious?" Miyuki joked. Eijun huffed again, but continued grinning. And this time when Miyuki laughed, a comforting rumble vibrating through his chest into Eijun's bones, Eijun laughed with him.   ===============================================================================   A large hand, pressing calluses into his skin, slid down Eijun's chest, his abdomen, down, locking around the swollen shaft of his cock. Eijun muffled a groan by biting his lip, but it was unnecessary – Miyuki heard it anyway. Heated bronze eyes shone with admiration and clouded with lust, and Eijun couldn't look away from them. Even when Miyuki started stroking him and embarrassment coloured his cheeks, mirroring Miyuki's own, Eijun couldn't bring himself to tear his gaze away. He basked in it, devoured it, and craved more, more, more. Miyuki was propped on one arm above him, his hand just next to Eijun's head, while his other one was busy making Eijun squirm under him. Feeling the animalistic thirst wake up somewhere within his chest, Eijun turned to Miyuki's open wrist with a shaky breath. His lips pressed to the soft, sun-unstained skin, languidly sliding against it before he trailed his tongue over the small veins that hid further down in the palm of Miyuki's hand. He could feel the quickened pulse if he pressed in the right place and the fluttering beat made his own heart race. He glanced up into the eagerly watching him eyes. "Come on," he said, nosing against the wet wrist. "Move, Miyuki. I'm fine."  His legs were spread apart, making enough space for Miyuki and hooking around Miyuki's thighs in a comfortable, casual way that didn't strain him more than necessary. The pain from Miyuki pushing inside him was subsiding with the slow caresses and Eijun needed the fire in his belly to finally be quenched. Before Miyuki obliged him, he leaned down and pressed their foreheads together briefly in that gentle, tender way that made Eijun's chest burn with affection. And he kissed him, because it was right, it was perfect, and they both wanted it. Eijun's breath fanned against Miyuki's lips when the length inside him was pulled out. Clutching onto Miyuki's shoulders – broad, broad shoulders, strong with muscles, when did Miyuki even get so buff – Eijun braced himself. But no amount of bracing could have prepared him for the tightness and the shivers and the heat curling inside him violently, stronger and stronger with every push, reaching higher and faster with every thrust. His mouth slacked open: he gasped, he groaned, he moaned and begged for more, because this was just too good, too much, too... It felt as if Miyuki was tearing him apart, piece by piece bringing him closer to heaven, building up the tension in his body until he was arched against him and moving, grinding, thrusting back with the same passion that pushed Miyuki's hips into him. When Miyuki's lips, soft and plump and searing, returned to his and his thrusts almost bent Eijun in half, Eijun was ready to give into pleasure. His eyes were closed and teary from exertion, heat, arousal, satisfaction, he didn't know, but it felt so right, so fulfilling, he couldn't control his body anymore. Just then, on the brink of collapse, he noticed something with frustrating clarity of mind. A fang pierced the skin on his lip, the metallic taste of blood sharpening his senses again and making his insides burn. In confusion Eijun pushed lightly on Miyuki's chest, blinking to clear his vision. It was hard with Miyuki moving against him, in him, over him, but the unmistakable glow in Miyuki's eyes was real. Bright, wide, almost yellow and with split pupils, the demon eyes stared down at Eijun filled with unquenchable lust. Wings spread from Miyuki's back, majestic and dark, shimmering in black diamonds of scales, keeping him balanced and moving. Whip-like tail, nimble and strong was curling around Eijun's ankle, pulling at him and keeping him close, close, closer... Eijun groaned, but to his surprise, there was no fear in him this time. Miyuki's – the demon's – hips still moved against him and the pleasure was too overwhelming to feel anything but that. And Eijun didn't want it to stop, not now, not ever. Deep inside him, he felt the sparks tremble in his spine when Miyuki's cock hit the right spot. Arched into Miyuki's chest, Eijun pulled him down by the nape, moaning into Miyuki's cheek before he found his lips. "Fine," he rasped out in a shaky voice. "You can have my soul, but at least let me cum first." Hips snapped into his harder, harsher, more powerful and guided. The explosion of pleasure, inching high, high, and higher, made Eijun shift and grind into Miyuki with renewed purpose. His climax was coming, he could feel the build up, the toe-curling heat of expectation, and he trembled in need of it. Half consciously, Eijun noticed the satisfied smirk on the demon's face, eyes squinted in unhidden pleasure. Miyuki's hand, long-clawed, closed around Eijun's cock again and he stroked him, thumbing at the heavily leaking slit to make Eijun come undone underneath him. "Ah," Miyuki's smooth voice filled Eijun's ears, his chest, his whole body and bones. "But your soul is already mine, didn't you know?" Eijun's body shook when orgasm hit him, blinding him and strangling his breath out of his burning chest as if it was taking his soul along with it. And... When he snapped open his eyes everything was dark, only slightly greying from the nearing dawn. He was in his own bed, in his room, and his thighs were warm. His cock throbbed in the aftershocks of the orgasm as he rested on the sheets that tangled him in a messy, sweaty and sticky cocoon. A grunt from the bunk above made Eijun's already quickened heartbeat go erratic in panic, but Kuramochi only turned to the other side, the mattress and wooden boards squeaking under his weight. Eijun breathed in relief, though it didn't last long. His thoughts soon returned to his dream: real enough to make his body react just to the figment of his imagination; strong enough to make him cum in his sleep. Eijun pressed the heels of his hands into his eyes with a groan, knowing very well that if that was what selling your soul to the devil felt like, he didn't necessarily mind doing it again. And again. And again... Fuck.
