However, after joining an after school music club, he finds himself captured by a presence that he doesn't recognize.   Vampire AU/Yoongi is a vamp/Jimin is an anxious fluff All of bangtan but focuses on YoonMin Notes Hello, this is my first fic in a year, so i'm really rusty. I don't know how well this will turn out, but i want to try and update this at least once a week, maybe more if I can. The first chapter is short and a bit crappy, but I just wanted to get it out there so I can properly work on it. Either way, thank you for reading and I hope you stick around for my story~~ <3 Nishi~~~ ***** Chapter 1 ***** It was the first week into the semester and Park Jimin had barely come to make any friends in his new classes. Yeah, there was the odd conversation and the occasional lunch with people, but it never seemed to go anywhere. JImin had spent most of his time wandering the halls, attempting to plaster the image of the buildings into his brains. At the very least, he was now one of the only students who didn't get lost while switching between lessons. During the middle of his second week, the days had started to become slow and dull. All the walls now looked the same, and ease dropping on people around him was only going to do so much for his social life. The student had walked past many signs in the past week that had were notices about clubs and special actives. Nothing was mandatory in the college, though there were perks to having an extra curriculum on your resume. JImin had never been the type to join things alone, even with dancing he had begged his best friend to join with him. Of course, his friends dropped out of the lessons in the end, but it had at least helped him walk into the rooms. Performing arts was his thing, he had realized that from a young age. Going in and out of dance classes and clubs for most of his childhood, he had become fond of the atmosphere and the rush the music gave him. In the end, It had become his passion. Over the years, however, he felt like something was missing. He had been told by family members that he was sporting a good pair of lungs, and that with some practice he could make it in the idol world. He didn't take it the way his family had anticipated, and decided to just become angry with their constant loitering. Really, Jimin was just very shy about his voice and his capabilities. Even so, he had pushed himself this far. He held a scrunched up notice in his clammy hand, ones that were now hovering on the knob to room 4C. He didn't have much of a chance to think about entering, or talking himself out of leaving, as a voice was clearly trying to grab his attention. It worked. He looked up to see another student looming above his small form, his hair dark just like the eyes that were looking between him and the sheet in his hand. "Something I can help you with?" The man asked, snapping Jimin out of his daze once again. "Oh," Jimin quickly interrupted. "Sorry.. I was looking for a.. music room?" The boy in front of him picked up on his hesitation, giving him a reassuring smile. His eyes became soft, unlike before. "I see. You want to join the music club or something?" He asked with a soft laugh. It made Jimin relax a little, though still sheepishly raised the paper and passed it over. "Come in, I'm Kim Namjoon. I run the club, the others should be here soon." Namjoon said as he stepped in front of the younger, pushing him back a little so he could open the door. "We can get to know you and talk about what you want to do." On the other side of the door, a boy that looked no older than himself sat tall at a dark, pristine looking grand piano. The boys head was lowed, his eyes closed as his fingers glazed the keys delicately. His chest moved with the rhythm, his broad shoulders rising slightly every time he took a breath. Jimin felt mesmerized by the sound echoing around the room, a smile coming onto his face as he watched his performance. "Yoongi-Hyung, good, you're already here." Namjoon stated, and as soon as he had drawn the attention back on himself, the boys playing slowed down to make eye contact. The pianists glaze was intense, it was something he hadnt felt before. A shiver snuck down his spine, he could feel goose bumps prickling under his skin. Jimin sucked in, taking his bottom lip between his teeth, biting on it nervously. Yoongi seemed to have noticed, his tongue coming out to wet his own. "Whose this?" He asked, his tone husky and uncertain. Jimin felt even more engaged, wanting to listen to him talk. Even so, he couldn't fight off how uncomfortable he felt with an attractive guy just staring at him, quite possibly judging every inch of his presence. "Don't be so jumpy, this is just a guy I met outside. He had the note you made, so I think he wants to join?" Namjoon says, slowly turning towards Jimin as if to questioning his own sentence. Jimin nodded immediately, making the older smile and nod. "See, no need for you to attempt jumping down his throat." Yoongi scoffed and the act didn't go unnoticed, causing Jimin to gulp and regret even entering. The boy rose from behind the piano, walking over and taking the sheet. He glanced it over once in a few seconds. murmuring the name Jimin under his breath, before nodding and passing it back to him, pushing it lightly against the others chest. "Sing then." "Yoongi..." Namjoon complained, receiving a side eye from the pianist. "We don't have to do that right now." "This is a music club, where else do you suggest we start, huh?" He asked. JImin found it strange that he was talking so informally to him, since Namjoon clearly looked older than Yoongi. Though his presence alone gave off more authority that Namjoon alone. He had completely missed the fact that Namjoon had used hyung on Yoongi's name before when he walked in. When Jimin had stopped analyzing the situation, he notice both sets of eyes waiting in anticipation for a song. Shit, he hadn't even thought of that. Who even goes to a music audition without bringing alone a piece of music to perform? Stupid, that was all that Jimin felt at that moment. "I.. Um.." The freshman struggled to gather his words. The room felt so intense, like the walls were closing in on him, or the air from the room was being replaced with pressure. He had never stepped inside somewhere and felt this kind of presence, so much that he felt uncertain even staying there. It was the type of feeling people got when they watched horror movies and anticipated a jump scare, leaving them on edge. "I have to go." He managed to force out his mouth, though the words were barely audible. He stumbled out of the room as quickly as he could, closing the door and walking as fast as he could without it looking suspicious, not wanting to catch the attention of anyone else. ***** Crimson ***** Chapter Summary After the lack of sleep, Jimin finds himself in the nurses office after collapsing in the hallways. On the other side of the room is the boy from yesterday, Min Yoongi. Hello~ Thank you from coming to read my second chapter. It's going to be a little slow because I need to introduce the others as well, but yes I will try and make Yoongi and Jimin have at least one interaction in each chapter. Hope you enjoy~~ I write these probably twice a week, but I don't have specific days at the moment, so thank you for your patience <3 Over the next night, Jimin had forced himself into bed. It was only 8'o clock, though his mind was continuing to play on the events of the day. Their expressions when he stood and did nothing, the unimpressed noise that Yoongi had made in the back of his throat. Was he really that much of a bother? He didn't think he was in there a long time, even though it did feel like a century. As the hours ticked by, Jimin had found himself seeing each minute though the night, right up until the sun had risen again. His face was pale, his eyes looking like they were inches away from falling out. Though he was once again dragging his heavy body to his wardrobe to get dressed. He wasn't naturally an early riser usually, but it wasn't like that concept existed when he had spent the whole night with his eyes glues on one part of the wall. He picked up his bag, putting away the lyrics he had quickly put together during the endless hours, wanting to at least try and impress them again, even though his confidence was lower than it was before. He said goodbye to his family without looking them in the eye, catching the bus at his usual time. The school day went quick and easy. Aside from the crowds in the corridors and the constant bashing in the lunch hall, everything was going fine. He found himself at his last lesson a lot quicker than he had expected, wondering if he was just too delirious from sleep to notice the time that day. It happened again after he thought about it, the bell ringing as soon as he felt like he had sat down. Instead of thinking about it, he relaxed, glad to just be able to leave. On his way out of the classroom, he became lightheaded, the halls becoming a swirl as his feet were unable to walk in a straight line. He hadn't felt ill previously, so the sudden intrusion on his sight was an unwanted surprise. He wasn't sure when he was heading, though the pain that rumbled through his ribs gave him a pretty good idea as too where i'm heading. Light shimmered through the half open blinds, disturbing the boys sudden rest. His eyes flickered open, while his body rose from the soft mattress that was supporting his now aching body. Where was he? He asked himself, looking around until he was drawn to the swining feet on the bed beside his own. He took in the sight of the slim body, his legs crossed over one another at the ankle, his body relaxed and resting towards the pillows as he stared out of the window. Shit, it was the boy from yesterday. If it wasn't awkward enough before, he now had to witness the silent air between them for however long. Wait. How long had he even been there? Was he there the entire time he was alseep? Did he say something weird in his dream? No, he was getting too far aheadof things. Jimin took a breath, about to catch the boys attention and speak up, though when he looked up above his neck, the boys piercing eyes were already on his own. Was his skin always so pale and milky? It didn't seem like it should be. Busan wasn't the coldest place in Korea, most citizens had at least some sort of a tan. Maybe it was because Yoongi's hair was significantly darker than the plain brown that Jimin had dyed in. "You hungry?" Yoongi asked, making Jimin narrowed his eyes a little in confusion. "Why?" "The nurse here gave me this to eat, said I was looking sickly," He began, "But you're the one that was dragged here on your ass." Jimin's eyes widened, his expression forming into awkward laughter itself, shaking his head. "No no.. I'm okay. You do look like you could use a meal." Yoongi raised an eyebrow, and only at that moment did Jimin realise how that sounded. "Not that you look unhealthy.. or anything.. I just um.." "Forget it. Take it if you want it. Or don't, I don't care." Yoongi tossed the protein looking bar to the youngers bed, his attention going back to outside the window. Jimin curssed his actions in his head, sighing and looking down at the plain, raisin flavor that was on the packets description. No wonder Yoongi didn't want to eat it with shitty flavouring like that. However, out of politness and with a sense of apology, the boy opened the bar. For the next couple of minutes while Jimin ate, the silence had become almost unbearable. He didn't know how long they were both suppose to stay, but the nurse didn't seem like she was returning anytime soon. In the mean time, Jimin was attempting to start up a casual conversation of some sort. "So.. I noticed you had an accent. Where are you from originally?" The boy asked, throwing the wrapper away, swallowing with a pained expression from the taste. "Hm?" Yoongi hummed under his breath, his eyes averting to looking at him from the side, wondering if he was being spoken to. "Oh. I'm from Daegu." "Why here of all places? I mean.. You come from a city, why a quiet place like this?" Jimin didn't know why he was asking so many question, he just felt like it would make up for his running away yesterday. "I haven't seen you around before, so you're obviously new." Yoongi turned to Jimin's relief, glad that he was at least making some progress with the hyung. "I guess I just wanted a new start." He shrugged, "Plus, I have some business here with an old friend." Buisness? He was like 19 years old. Why was he talking so formally about what he did with his friends. "When you put it like that, it kinda sounds like your a hitman or something." Jimin laughed, trying to make light of things. Yoongi just shrugged, taking a deep breath and leaning his head down slightly, looking towards his feet. His hands were on his knees, and he hadn't noticed before, but the grip he had on them was tight enough for his knuckles to turn white. Was he in pain? He wondered. "Hey.. Do you need some water or something?" "No." He said imidiantly, making Jimin's skin crawl for a moment at the sudden change in pace. "I need to go." He said in his dialect, looked back up for only a split second. It was only a moment where their eyes met, but Jimin could have sworn he saw a glint of crimson in his pitch black eyes. Before he even had a chance to question it, the boy was gone. When he turned to watch him leave, his saw Namjoon beside him again, his arm wrapping around the older boys shoulders, pulling him close to his chest as they walked away from his line of sight. Were they a lot more than just music friends? He asked himself, looking back down at the bed Yoongi had been sitting on only seconds ago. Surely that couldn't be possible, Namjoon had been at his school for at least a year, he had seen him around often. Yet, Yoongi was clearly new. How could they already be that close? Unless Namjoon was the friends that he had business with? Jimin was slowly finding himself with more questions than answers, which also lead him to the question; why was he even interested? He had no connections to Namjoon, so why should he even be curious about Yoongi when they had only exchanged nothing more than bitter words at most. After resting there with his thoughts for a while longer, the student had come fed up with waiting for the nurse to return, and so had decided to return to the main building to get his things. On his way back to the classroom he had collapsed outside of, he heard low muttering from a slightly open door. This room was usually for staff only, but even then it hadn't been used in months, not after the new staff room was finished with construction. Jimin slowed down to a halt, listening to the familiar dialect he recognized. One voice was very mature and spoke with more of a city tone, while the others husky voice definitely belonged to the Daegu boy from before. "Listen, Hyung! You can't keep dropping like this, its become too obvious that there's something going on with you!" Namjoon's voice was in a harsh and demanding whisper, and the tutting from the other boy was a clear sign that he didn't really respect his wording. "You need to eat something! Look at you, you've become so pale in the last two days." Eat? Yoongi wasn't eating. So.. before when he accepted the food. Oh no, he was only helping the boy starve himself? Guilt washed over him, his body leaning back on the wall while his eyes squeezed shut. "I'm fine.. I'm not hungry. Just focus on Kookie for now, he's struggling with the eating thing way more than I am." There was more of them doing it? He sighed to himself, thinking that was the case. Jimin looked down and away, feeling bad about the fact that he had now learnt the secrets that Yoongi was probably trying to hide from everyone. If he wasn't eating like he had heard, he probably was in a lot of pain back in the nurses office just like he thought he had been. "I can do this by myself." Jimin didn't hear a response from Namjoon this time, and only heard the light steps that were now approaching the door that he was standing behind. It took a while for him to regester it, but when he did, he was out of there faster than he could even think, leaving his bag in the classroom and heading straight home for the night.
