                     "Home is the place where you belong"
It was another tiring day for Yuu after working late hours finishing his report
because stupid Guren couldn’t tolerate a few grammatical errors. He was just so
glad to be walking up towards his apartment room, imagining resting on that
comfy warm bed that was waiting for him inside.
Once he opened the door to his apartment though, a cannonball of blonde and

of dating, four years of separation and then five years of reuniting with one

Mika smiled. He always loved it whenever Yuu blushed like that and he took it
upon himself to find every opportunity to make his lover feel happy and
special. Nothing else in this world made him feel like the luckiest man alive
than having his Yuu-chan's unconditional love for him.
“Come on, I’ve got dinner ready.”
After Yuu removed his shoes and took off his coat, Mika pulled on Yuu’s wrist
to lead him towards, not the dining room but the bedroom instead.
“Mika, I thought you said dinner—”
Yuu suddenly fell silent as he stared at the decorations his boyfriend added to
their bedroom.
There were candles on nearly every surface of the room and the drapes were shut
to let only the glow of the fires illuminate the whole area. On the (new?)
black bed sheets, white petals were scattered everywhere, some even on the

Was that a…mermaid? Is he the reason why I’m still alive from that shipwreck?
“Please don’t leave.” Mika called out, hand outstretched as if he could reach
for the lovely creature and bring him back.
For a moment, the water was still and Mika thought, with a sinking heart, that
he had frightened him enough to depart. Until a small splash from behind a few
rocks indicated his presence. Hesitantly, Mika carefully rose to his feet and
made his way over, wading through the shallow waters.
A green eye peeked from the side of the rock and when he saw Mika approaching,
the creature immediately hid himself again.
“It’s okay, I won’t do anything to you.” Mika placated, hoping his voice was
soft enough to lure him out. “I just wanted to thank you. You’re the one who
saved me right?”
Another bout of silence until a small, “Yes,” was heard. Mika’s hesitant smile
turned into a full fledge grin as he moved around the rock to face the mermaid
once more. The lovely creature just sat against the rock, droplets of water
scattered across his skin, staring up at Mika expectantly.
He really was a marvel to behold, the blond thought, eyes sparkling with the
revelation that such creatures do exist. 
“My name’s Mika. What’s yours?” 
“…Yuu.”
His expression softened, pressing a hand against the boulder as he slowly crept
closer. “Hi, Yuu. Where do you come from?” 
Seeming to sense that Mika was harmless, Yuu stayed in place as he
answered, “Under the sea, with the rest of my family. How about you?”
“I live…” Suddenly, Mika realized he didn’t quite know where he was and he
looked up, glancing at his surroundings. Fortunately, he didn’t have to worry
at all. They were at the bay of his kingdom's port, away from the ships and
just behind where his castle stood. 
Turning to look back at the curious mermaid, Mika pointed at the castle high
above the hills and buildings over the land, “There. That’s my home. Thank you
for bringing me safely to it. 
“You’re welcome.” Yuu shrugged, even as his cheeks lightly dusted with pink. 
“Hey, I…uh,” Wanting to please the mermaid, Mika struggled with his next
words, “Do you…want anything? As a gift?”
“A gift? What for?” Even though he questioned it, Yuu’s emerald eyes sparkled
with interest. Mika grinned and sat himself beside the beautiful creature on a
smaller rock. 
“For saving me, of course! A prince can’t let his savior go without giving him
something in return for his kindness.” 
“You’re a prince?!” Yuu squeaked, straightening his posture a little. He looked
surprised but didn’t seem to take the news as badly as Mika thought. “I can’t
possibly want take anything from you.”
“It won’t be taking if I’m offering it to you, Yuu-chan.”
The endearing nickname didn’t go unnoticed by the creature as the redness in
his cheeks increased, causing Mika to smile more at the cute sight. He wished
he could bring Yuu home with him and show him to his family. They’d most likely
adore him just as much as Mika did already. 
The mermaid took a moment to think about it and the prince used this time to
inspect Yuu more closely. His eyelashes were something that instantly caught
his attention; they were thick and long, fluttering against Yuu’s cheeks every
time he blinked. Mika also admired the curve of his neck, the dip of his
collarbones and the way his skin changed from flesh to green around his hips,
gleaming scales. He was so fascinated, Mika didn’t catch Yuu calling him until
he was up in his face.
“Mika?” 
“Oh! Sorry, yes?” Mika couldn't help flushing a bit under the intense look in
his eyes. 
“If it’s alright with you, can I…” Yuu bit his lip before he confidently
said, “can I see you again?” 
Mika’s eyebrows rose. He hadn’t expected that but he didn’t hate it either.
Actually, he was pleasantly surprised to realize that Yuu liked him enough to
want to spend more time with him. 
He nodded his head enthusiastically, already excited to know more about
Yuu. “You’re more than welcome to, Yuu-chan. I'd love to see you again.”
And then Mika was almost blinded. The smile radiating from Yuu took his breath
away, his heartbeat palpitating and his stomach fluttering with butterflies.
Something hot ran across the bridge of nose as he realized that he was the one
blushing now. 
“Thank you, Mika! I…I want to get to know more about you…humans.” Yuu’s
fascination was evident in his tone and Mika almost wanted to laugh. Yuu was
the more fascinating one out of the two of them but he would indulge the
mermaid as much as he wanted to.
Suddenly, Yuu perked up and looked towards the horizon to see the sun already
beginning to set. He faced Mika again, but this time with a regretful look that
pulled at Mika’s heartstrings.
“I have to go. They’ll be looking for me.”
“Alright. I understand.” Mika’s smile turned sad as he watched Yuu dive into
the sea and begin swimming away from him, waving goodbye with a small wiggle of
his fingers. The prince did the same, something in him wanting to call the
mermaid back before he no longer saw him again. 
“When can I see you again?” The words tumbled out before he could stop them.
But his forlorn expression must have impacted the mermaid who had turned at his
voice and Yuu surprisingly swam back. For some reason, they were even closer
than before, faces only inches apart. 
Mika didn’t understand but he opened his mouth to ask again when Yuu suddenly
cupped his cheeks. 
Without saying anything, Yuu leaned forward, eyes slowly closing shut with
every distance covered. Mika barely had time to react before his lips were
captured by soft, wet ones, perfectly melding their mouths together. Yuu tasted
like sea salt and a little bit of seaweed but the prince found that he wasn’t
bothered by it in the slightest. He felt tingles run down his spine as Mika
savoured the sweet feeling of Yuu against him, his own hands settling on the
dip of Yuu’s waist. He didn’t think the lovely creature would allow him such a
wonderful opportunity and Mika wondered if he could do this forever, living in
an embrace of a mermaid. In fact, he chased after Yuu’s lips when the mermaid
finally pulled away. 
“You’re connected to me now.” Yuu simply said, smile still endearingly cute as
he brushed their foreheads together. “We’ll know when either of us are in this
area so that we’ll get to meet each other every time.”
Mika had never believed in magic before but he never thought mermaids existed
either so he trusted Yuu's every word.
“Okay, I’ll be here waiting for you, Yuu-chan.”
“Until we see each other again, Mika.”

“So, I found this waterfall…”
“For the 4th time, Yuu-chan, we are not having sex outdoors in this trip.” 
“But Mika!” His boyfriend whined, staring up at him with green eyes, big enough
to almost mistake him for a child. Mika sighed, trying not to be influenced by
the puppy-eyed look he’d once been tricked with numerous times before. 
“No one’s going to catch us over a damn waterfall! It will cover us completely!
I can almost assure it!” Yuu nodded his head, speaking with so much confidence
that Mika felt compelled to believe him. “Why can’t you enjoy this one moment
of freedom and have a little fun, Mika? You only live once, you know!” 
The blond stopped hiking up the rocky steps abruptly, almost causing Yuu to
bump into him from behind. Ignoring Yuu’s sputtering, Mika actually began
considering the impossibility. He figured it wouldn’t hurt anyone to take some
risks once in a while…and he would be lying if he said he wasn’t the least bit
interested to see how fucking Yuu behind a waterfall would be like.
When he released a resigned sigh, his boyfriend curiously asked, “Mika?” 
“Fine.”
Yuu reared his head around to stare at his face, mouth agape in astonishment
even as the corner of his lips pulled with the beginnings of a
smile, “Really?” 
“Just lead me to the damn waterfall before I change my mind.” 
Yuu released a loud whoop,grabbing Mika’s wrist and dragging him excitedly
forward. Mika couldn’t help but smile along to Yuu’s happiness.

If one were to enter a small niche hidden behind the shining waterfall, they’d
be met with quite a lewd sight.

Mika languidly sipped the martini from his glass, lidded ice-blue eyes sweeping
across the dance floor of the club. He came here just to accompany his friend,
Lacus, after he’d been rejected by his long time crush. He could have been at
home, sleeping the rest of the day away after a gruelling morning at work but
you could say he was being a Good Samaritan by helping out. But as he watched

But when the young man came close again, Mika almost jolted at the sudden bump

“Oh god, I’m so sorry!”
It was the cute waiter, he realized belatedly and oh god, even his voice
sounded nice to listen to. The thought of listening to that voice gasping and
crying out in ecstasy almost derailed his thoughts until Mika reigned in on
himself, sending the young man a small smile, “It’s alright. I was almost
finished with it anyway.”
“No, no, it’s my fault for being clumsy.” His round cheeks were tinged with an
embarrassed pink, bottom lip almost jutted out into a pout. He looked so cute
like that, Mika committed the expression to memory. “I’ll offer you a new one.
On the house!” 
Can't I have you in my house instead? Mika tried to protest but it seemed the
waiter had made up his mind already. Jumping face front on the bar counter with

slightly dangling in the air to reach for whatever was underneath the counter. 
“My name is Yuuichirou, by the way, but you can call me Yuu.” He winked with a
playful smile that made something in Mika’s gut tighten with need. Holy shit,

Mika’s train of thought abruptly ceased when he began to notice Yuu’s

rising. This did nothing to quell the immediate problem growing between his

“I’m…Mika.” He lamely answered, too caught up with the sight before him to form
