Unsettled would probably a better word. She unsettled Kai. There was something - in her eyes, her words, her mannerisms - that always made him feel like she could see straight through him. He had the sense that she could see a lot of things that other people couldn't. He found himself censoring his thoughts around her, even from the time she was a small child. He loved her from the moment she was born. She had wispy white hair, huge blue eyes, and the chubbiest, rosiest cheeks. And when their mother dressed her up in tiny, ruffled dresses, she looked like a perfect little cherub. So when did she start to make him so damn uncomfortable?   He still regretted sending her away. But what was he supposed to do? She was thirteen, their parents were dead… No. That wasn't the real reason. He knew the real reason. He'd never admit it though. Not to himself, and not to anyone else. But he had the eerie feeling that she already knew. That was the main reason he had to send her away. He'd never forget the betrayal on her face when he brought her to the train station. He doubted she'd ever forgive him.   But there she was, standing in the kitchen brewing coffee as if nothing had ever happened. She smiled when she saw him. “I wasn't sure if you'd want any, so I brewed extra.” “Thanks,” was all he could manage. He was too distracted by the fact he could see a faint hint of her nipples through the sheer white organza of her nightgown. She handed him a cup of coffee and he rummaged around in the cabinet for a bottle of whiskey. He needed something - anything - to get her out of his head. “I don't think that's part of a healthy breakfast,” she said, sipping her coffee as he poured at least three shots into his mug. “Sure it is.” “I haven't seen you drink since…” she trailed off, absently kicking at the floor as her gaze became distant. “I-” he began. He sighed. She was right. He didn't want to turn into their father. He poured the cup down the drain, followed by the entire bottle of whiskey. “You didn't have to do that,” she said softly. “Yeah, I did.” He rinsed the mug before pouring himself fresh coffee. “You look good,” she offered with a slight smile. “Er… thanks. You… you do, too.” He wasn't sure, but he thought she might have smirked for just a split second. “You can stop walking on eggshells.” “What?” She sighed, turning around to pour herself more coffee. “You've been acting like I'm… I don't know. You've just been different. Which I understand, it's been two years, sure you're different. But I feel like you're afraid of saying or doing the wrong thing around me.” Kai set his mug down, running a hand through his hair. “I'm sorry, you’re right,” he said. Except she wasn't, not entirely anyway. He wasn't afraid of her as much as he was afraid of himself. “That wasn't very convincing.” “Sorry. Things have just been… stressful.” “Well, sure. But I'm here now,” she smiled, putting her hand over his. “I'll help out however I can.” He was sure she could feel him flinch beneath her grasp, how he subconsciously tried to pull away for just a second. She slowly released her grip, trying to hide her frown by lifting her mug to her lips. “I’m sor-” “Oh, save it for someone else, Kai.” He looked up at her, surprised by the sudden switch in her demeanor. She had never spoken to him like that before. “Excuse me?” She rolled her eyes. It wasn't the playful way she usually did, either. He could see the apathy in her gaze. “Oh that's right. I'm the only one you apologize to. What's that about?” He returned her steely glare. “You're my baby sister. I'm supposed to take care of you.” She sneered. He wanted to smack her. “I'm sorry,” he said again instead. “I said to stop . You can't treat me like a twelve-year-old forever.” “Sure I can.” She flung her mug into the sink, nearly breaking it. Hot coffee splattered across them both, but neither reacted to the scalding liquid. “Fuck you, Kai.” Yes, please. “Watch your mouth.” “Or fucking what?” There was a spark in her eyes, of defiance and a hint if mischief. Was she really challenging him?” “Keep going and you'll find out.” “Fuck,” she said again. “Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK! Fuck, fuck, fuck yo-” He grabbed her by the back of her neck, shoving her over the sink. She continued the stream of obscenities even as he pinned her against the kitchen counter, wrenching her head to the side by her hair. “I said to STOP! ” He grabbed the bottle of dish soap, forcing her mouth open with one hand and squeezing a stream of the viscous blue liquid into her mouth with the other. He forced her mouth shut, wrapping his arms around her as she struggled. He had to grit his teeth and bite his tongue to keep from groaning as her ass repeatedly ground against. At risk of her feeling his growing erection, he finally released her, sending her sprawling onto the floor. “I fucking hate you!” she screamed, froth flying from her mouth. She tried to get up but slipped on her soap-drool, landing spread-eagle, panties in full view. The grinding, view of her transparent underwear, the white dribbling down her chin, and the adrenaline pumping through his body had Kai’s dick was rock hard. Leaving Collette screaming in the kitchen, he darted for the bathroom. He wrenched his pants open with such force that he broke the zipper. He shoved down his pants and boxers, his cock springing free, already leaking. He barely managed ten strokes before he was coming, muffling a hoarse cry with the sleeve of his sweater. The shame hit hard as soon as he started coming down. He just jerked off to his little sister. His little traumatized sister. And he was the one who traumatized her. He could hear her and Winter in the kitchen, yelling at each other. Quickly cleaning himself up, he redid his pants the best he could with the busted zipper. He didn't want to leave the bathroom, but Collette and Winter’s argument was escalating, and he knew he had to intervene. “What are you fighting about now?” he demanded in as normal a tone as he could muster. “Collette made a fucking mess and she won't clean it up!” Collette glared at Kai with an intensity he had never seen before. Sure he deserved it, but it still infuriated him. And, wait, was she covering for him? Obviously she hadn't told Winter what really happened, because if she had Winter would be freaking out at him, not Collette. “Both of you get out of here,” he commanded. “I'll clean it up myself.” Collette and Winter stormed off in opposite directions. Collette cast a final glance at him. This one wasn't angry; he could read the betrayal in her eyes. And then she was gone. What the fuck have I done? ===============================================================================   ***** 2. ***** Kai couldn't sleep. Not that that was unusual, but all he wanted was to slip into unconsciousness. Instead he replayed the scene from earlier over and over in his head, trying to force himself to desexualize Collette. It wasn't working. The sound of his door opening startled him, and he sat up, shifting so his erection would be less noticeable. Collette stepped into the room, dressed in one of her lacy white gowns. She sipped tea from one of their mothers old teacups, leaving the imprint of her lips on the edge of the cup in pink lip gloss. “You're a piece of shit.” He didn't respond. “Gonna wash my mouth out with soap again?” He forced himself to remain silent. He couldn't stand her mocking him. Who did she think she was? Had boarding school really turned her into such a bitch? “Wow. Quiet for once. You should've been that quiet earlier. The bathroom amplifies sound, you know.” “Shut up!” He hadn't meant to yell. He didn't mean to spring to his feet, crossing the space between them in mere seconds. “You're sick, Kai.” “Shut. Up.” “Or what? You're gonna make me? Hold my mouth shut while you hump me again?” A growl rose in his throat. Collette barred her teeth sarcastically in return. “Gonna blame it on hormones? Blame it on “basic instincts” or some other bullshit? You're not a dog, Kai.” “What do you want from me,” he asked through gritted teeth. She laughed humorlessly. “What do I want? The fucking truth, Kai. You've been lying to me since I was twelve. You've been lying to yourself.” “Can you please stop?” his voice was suddenly hoarse. He wanted to tear his hair out. Hearing it in her words made him sick. “Are you planning on sending me away again? Because we both know that that's the only way this is going to stop.” “It's over, I swear. I'll stop. Just, please. Stop.” She laughed again. This time her eyes were lit with a fire of determination and subtle rage. She reached out in the small space between them, palming his throbbing cock through the denim of his jeans. “You're a fucking liar,” she hissed as he moaned. “You've always been a terrible liar.” He moved away, turning his body so she couldn't gain access to his body. But she was on him like a cat, clawing and whispering filth. “When did it start, Kai? How young was I?” “Collette,” he breathed. “Stop. Stop, stop, stop.” “When I started developing breasts? Or was it before that, you pervert?” “STOP!” he roared, clapping a hand over her mouth and shoving her into the wall. “Don't talk to me like that. I don't know what the fuck is wrong with you. But you're going to stop, or I will send you away again.” Tears welled in her eyes as she scowled at him. As soon as he released his hand, she spit in his face. “That's an easy way to deal with your problems, huh? Just ship them off? Pawn me off on someone else, make them deal with me while you jerk off into a pair of my panties?” He slapped her, hard. Her ears rang and stars speckled her vision as she toppled to the side, crashing into a coffee table. She had set the teacup there, and it splintered into porcelain shards on the floor. It sliced into her forearm, just below the black bruise from where she had collided with the kitchen cabinets that morning. Blood ran down her arm, dripping from her fingertips as she pulled out the embedded glass. She awaited an apology, but none came. Instead Kai grabbed her, twisting her injured arm painfully behind her back. She had pushed him over the edge. The accusations, her bad attitude; it was too much. He teetered on the edge of furious and absolutely turned on. Fuck the consequences. Their family was already fucked. Why not screw it up some more? This wasn't the innocent girl he had sent off to school. She was possessed by something. Deep down he knew he was to blame. He pushed the thought from his mind, pinning her against the wall. He breathed raggedly against her neck, hot breath condensating on her flesh. He could feel her blood on his hand. “For your information,” he snarled, “it started when you were thirteen. It was that stupid fucking bikini. That stupid, goddamn bikini that you made me steal for you because mom wouldn't buy it.” She tried to push him away with her ass, but he responded by trapping her entire body with his, pressing her flat against the wall. He ground against her slowly, picturing her in that lacy pink and cream swimsuit. “I never understood why you picked it out. You hated girls who wore bikinis.” “I wanted to wear it for you, you fucking idiot.” The revelation set him on fire. He spun her around, kissing her sloppily. “But I'm the sick one,” he chuckled darkly. “How long have you been fantasizing about me?” “Since I was ten and I walked in on you fucking that whore Anne Myers.” He tried to thrust against her, but she shifted her lower body so he hit her hip bone. “Cooperate,” he demanded, “or I'll make this unpleasant.” “What are you going to do?” she challenged. “Rape me?” He released her, slapping her again. “You're going to learn to respect me.” “Or what?” He grabbed her bloodied arm, digging his fingers deep into her wound. She screamed, trying to knee him in the groin, but he skillfully dodged her, flinging her towards his bed. “I'm not going to rape you. I'm not that fucking sick. But one way or another, you're going to respect me. I am your God.” She laughed, looking at him as if he were crazy. He wanted to murder her. “I don't know who you are anymore. And you don't know who I am. You have no idea what I'm capable of.” “See Kai, this is your problem. You're all talk. Talk, talk, talk.” “If you keep talking, I'm going to shut you up.” “With what?” she asked, getting up on her knees. “Your seeping cock? It's leaving a stain on your pants, by the way.” Fuck. She was right. “Are you going to do something about that?” “Why don't you?” He hadn't meant to say it - it had just sort of slipped out. But before he could take it back she was already on him, roughly unbuckling  his belt. “I can't-” “Would you just shut the fuck up?” she sighed, yanking his pants halfway down his thighs. She looked up at him as her lips met the head of his cock, big Bambi eyes so at odds with the way she was behaving. Kai moaned as she swirled her tongue around the head, lapping up the precum leaking from it. He stumbled back into the wall, Collette quickly closing the space between them. She spit on her hand, wrapping it around the base as she swallowed down his length. Her hand and mouth worked in unison, making sure that the entirety of his dick was attended to. He wasn't going to last long. He had imagined this scenario far too many times, but none of those fantasies matched the real thing. Her mouth was like heaven. And he was desecrating it. He pulled her hair as he came, orgasm slamming through him like none ever had before. His knees buckled and he slid down the wall. Collette moved with him, sucking up every last drop of cum that she could milk from him. Finally satisfied that she had thoroughly drained him, she leaned back, smirking. “There,” she said calmly, as if the entire situation was perfectly normal. “Don't you feel better?” He felt sick. Satisfied as hell, more so than he had ever been before. But also nauseous and dirty. “Get out of my room, please,” he said quietly. Collette shrugged. “Sure. See you at breakfast.” She got up, kissing his unmoving lips before practically skipping out of the room. Kai cried himself to sleep. ***** 3. ***** He looked like hell, even more so than usual. There was nothing he could do about it. He could smell coffee, making his way down the hallway in a daze towards the scent. “Jesus Christ, Kai,” Winter said upon seeing him. “Morning to you, too,” he grumbled sarcastically. “Brush your hair,” Collette murmured, handing him a steaming mug of coffee. “Yeah. Sure.” Collette moved around the kitchen, putting away dishes and flipping French toast. Winter loitered quietly for a few minutes before checking her watch and heading for the door. “I'll be back later.” “Bye,” said Collette coolly. “Breakfast?” she offered to Kai he sat down heavily at the table. “No.” He casually retrieved a bottle of Adderall from the pocket of his bathrobe. “I see we're on a drug diet,” Collette sighed, setting a plate of fruit down before taking a seat across from Kai. “And now all of that toast is going to waste.” He chewed a few Adderall, swallowing them down with a mouthful of coffee. He glanced at her bandaged arm, blood speckling the white gauze. She was holding it close to her side; it was obviously causing her a great deal of pain. She cut up a piece of honeydew, popping a piece in her mouth as she flipped through a catalogue. “I'm ordering curtains,” she announced. Kai nodded. How the hell is she so calm? “You better get yourself cleaned up before someone starts asking questions,” she said under her breath. “Right.” She looked up at him. “Pull yourself together, Kai.” He stared at her dumbly. “Right,” he repeated. Collette got up, dumping her plate into the trash and letting it clatter into the sink. “I'm going out.” “Okay.” She slammed the door.   Pull yourself together, pull yourself together. Kai let the water run over him, trying to sort out his thoughts. Showers always helped him think; however, he wasn't used to this kind of pondering. He was a murderer. A cold-blooded one at that. He could kill without conscience. It was for the greater good, after all. He was a liar. It was easy to lie. It was the best way to gain control over people. So why did he care if he fucked his sister? Morals? He had none of those. Out of respect for her? Shit, she wanted it just as badly as he did. She would've been all over him like a bitch in heat if he let her. Was it because of the taboo involved? Of course not. Who cared what society thought? And it definitely wasn't the legal implications. He had already assaulted her. Twice. And she was still begging for him. Fine. This was all fine. He could control her better this way. She’s controlling you, you idiot! He would just have to fix that. He might have to break her to do it, but it was easily doable. Good. He had a plan. It seemed foolproof. Give her what she wants - What I want - and she'll be putty in his hands. He had to correct that attitude of hers for starters. He wasn't going to let her disrespect him in his home. He wouldn't be physical with her again unless absolutely necessary, but sometimes kids need corporal punishment. Kai turned off the shower, wringing his hair before pulling back the curtain. “Wha-!” he yelped, nearly slipping backwards in panic. Collette was standing in front of him, gazing intently into his eyes. “Your phone was ringing,” she said, holding out the device. “Thought you might want to take the call. Winter says you're very busy these days.” “Don't fucking sneak up on me!” She laughed, turning to leave. “Not my fault your senses aren't as sharp as you'd like to think.” She opened the door, cool air filling the room. She turned around, halfway out the door. “Winter said there's a meeting tonight. I think I should attend.” “I didn't invite you,” he said flatly, retrieving a towel. “So, no, I don't think you'll be there.” “Alright,” she said simply. “I'll see you afterwards then.” With that she closed the door. ***** 4. ***** Chapter Notes This chapter is kinda short, but there's more coming soon! He couldn't stop thinking about her. He was desperately trying to give a speech in his normal, forceful manner. Instead he was preoccupied with thoughts of Collette, and the fact that he was dangerously close to springing an erection. The sound of footsteps on the stairs caused him to pause, watching to see who was interrupting. The halo of her white hair gave her away. Kai had to grit his teeth to keep from screaming at her. “We have a visitor,” he said, voice strained. “My sister, Collette.” Collette gave an unenthusiastic wave, her white lace dress glowing in the dim light of the basement. “Where are the towels?” she asked. “I want to shower and my linen closet is empty.” Kai audibly ground his molars. “Take some from my bathroom.” “‘Kay.” With that she turned and retreated up the stairs. “Alright. Back to what I was saying.”   Kai opened the door to his room, flicking the light switch. “Collette, seriously?” She was laying on her stomach, kicking her feet in the air as she read Lolita . It was the copy she had bought when he took her to that stupid hipster bookstore when she was fourteen. She was nearly naked, only wearing thigh-high socks and one of her many pairs of frilly, transparent panties. She glanced up at him, uninterested, licking her finger to turn a page in the book. “You need new sheets,” she said, picking at the edge of his threadbare fitted sheet. “I know you're into the whole minimalist thing, but it's a bit much.” “Do NOT come into my room and insult me.” She rolled over, her small breasts bouncing ever so slightly. “I was offering to buy you blankets, but sure, get mad about it.” “I don't need you to do shit for me.” “Really? Because if I remember correctly, I was the one who took care of you during your little meltdown.” ““ Little meltdown? ” Our parents died.” “That wasn't my point. Who took care of you when you were too much of a sobbing heap to do anything? Who cooked for you, picked up your prescriptions, did your laundry, bought groceries?” “I didn't need your help. I could've done it on my own?” She laughed and rolled her eyes. “Yeah, right, Kai. You would've starved to death right there in that room.” “It's not my fault that you were so fucking apathetic about it.” “Apathy? You think that I did what I did because of apathy? I forced myself to be strong for both of us because you couldn't.” “You weren't there,” he said, his voice dropping to little more than a whisper. “You didn't see mom blow her brains out.” “No, I didn't.” Collette sat up, swinging her legs over the edge of the bed. “And I can never take that image away from you. I wish I could. I'd happily trade places with you. But I can't do that. There's nothing I can do to change things. I did what I could then, and I'll do what I can now. But don't you dare say that their death didn't affect me.” “Do you even remember what mom looks like?” Kai asked her. “The sound of her voice?” Collette looked away for the first time, twisting the corner of a blanket between her fingers. “No. I don't remember her voice. And without a photograph in front of me, I can't remember her face. But I remember his.” She shuddered. “Whose?” “Scott’s,” she hissed their father's name with disdain. “I can't remember mom’s voice, but I can hear him perfectly clear. Screaming at me.” Kai had abandoned his imposing stance, instead moving slowly closer to Collette. “You never did anything wrong, though. You know that, right?” “To him, everything was wrong. You know that, Kai.” Kai sat down heavily beside her. “I should have killed him way before then. Mom shouldn't have had to be the one to do it.” “You wouldn't have been able to live with yourself.” Kai looked at her. “Collette, I've killed people.” “It's not the same. Killing a stranger is nothing compared to killing your father.” “He wasn't our father. I should've been strong enough to do it. I should've done it to save Mom, and Winter, and you.” “The past is done,” Collette said softly, slipping one of her tiny hands over Kai’s. “No one can change what happened, or how it happened. We can only move forward.” “I don't need some bullshit psychiatrist pep-talk,” he said sharply, pulling his hand away. She laughed humorlessly. “You think I'm trying to make you feel better? You're such a fucking idiot Kai.” He pulled back to strike her, but she was expecting it this time. She grabbed his wrist and twisted his arm, pinning him down onto the mattress while he yelled for her to stop. “Don't be so fucking predictable,” she hissed, biting down on his earlobe. “You have to mix things up. I'm a fast learner.” He could've thrown her off if he wanted to. But he was tired, and it was somewhat… refreshing. Exciting. Invigorating. To be the one at her mercy instead of the other way around. Of course, it was also humiliating. She was a girl, and a small one at that. He shouldn't be letting her get away with putting him in such a compromising position. “Collette, get off of me.” “No.” “You have five seconds or so help me god-” She was off of him now, standing over him as he sat up. “You were enjoying it. Why do you have to be such a fucking killjoy?” she asked. “Why'd you interrupt me tonight? That was my meeting.” Collette laughed. “I asked you for some towels. I could've caused a real interruption if I wanted to.” She reinforced her statement by wedging her knee between his legs again, rubbing it over the hot bulge straining against the seams. “Collette.” “What.” “Don't stop.” She didn't need to be told twice. She was everywhere at once, while being so soft and subtle that she seemed to be nowhere. It was too much, yet not enough. Trying to control her was futile, though. He knew that. She had proven that already. Like a wild horse, if he were to try to direct her, it would just make her fight against him. He gave in to her schizophrenic touches, hands ghosting over every inch of him so softly that he could barely tell if she had even been there, or if he was simply imagining her touches as light as butterfly wings. “I'm a virgin,” she breathed against his hair, a secret that rang hollow in his ears. “Yeah, right.” “I am!” She stopped, glaring down at him. “You think I'd lie to you?” He tried to catch his breath, still shaking beneath Collette. “You've proved otherwise.” “What the fuck do you mean by that?” “The way you gave me head, the way you touched me. No way you're a virgin.” “I didn't say I'd never sucked dick before. I said that I've never had sex.” “You're supposed to save it for marriage.” “Oh, please, Kai. Winter's already had it in every hole.” “Maybe that's why I never felt that way about her,” he thought aloud. “She was never classy, like you. She was stronger in a way, though.” Colette laughed. “Stronger. Sure. Able to shove down every feeling she’s ever had.” “You've always been… soft. Dainty. Angelic.” She laughed, reaching down to grasp him through his jeans. “You've seen what I'm capable of, and you still call me angelic?” “Lucifer was an angel. God’s favorite. And look what happened to him.” He stared up at her, his eyes dark. She squeezed him, smirking as he hissed. “So I'm a fallen angel. Hm. Surely I haven't fallen all the way yet, though? I haven't been entirely,” she punctuated the word with another squeeze, “desecrated yet.” Kai leapt to his feet, flinging her onto his bed. “If you want to be destroyed, I'll fucking destroy you. I'll ruin you completely.” “You said you were my god before. Now prove it,” she challenged as he pinned her to the bed. “Cast me into hell.” ***** 5 ***** Chapter Notes Ehhhhhh I don't love this chapter, I've had such bad writers block and I'm sure it shows in the writing. Hopefully I'll be able to reinvigorate the story from this point on. Thanks to all who have been reading! When Collette was ten, she broke her arm. “Broke” was putting it lightly; she had shattered it into three pieces after falling out of a tree. Yet she hadn't cried, or screamed, or even asked for help. She quietly went to her room and locked the door. For two hours she sat on her bed, twisting and bending her arm to find out how she could cause herself the most pain. It fascinated her to be so in control. She had been angry when Kai had finally kicked her door down, concerned that she wasn't answering him when he knocked. He found her with her arm bent in an unnatural way, skin stained black and deep purple. She didn't answer him when he asked how she had hurt herself. She couldn't admit that she had climbed the tree outside his window to watch him jerk off. “Don't be a pussy, Kai. Just shove it in. Make me bleed on your cock.” He stared at her, still pinning her arms down to the mattress. She put her feet on the frame of his bed, using the leverage to raise her hips to meet his. “You're already hard, what're you waiting for? Take your fucking pants off and fuck me.” He opened his mouth to say something but quickly closed it again, gritting his teeth. “You're such a fucking tease Kai.” “Can you stop swearing for two seconds?” “Nope,” she smirked. “It pisses you off.” “You like pissing me off?” “Duh. I'm trying to get you to hatefuck me. I didn't think it would be that difficult but you apparently don't know how to shut the fuck up and use your dick.” He wrapped his hand around her throat as tight as he could, watching her face turn red before releasing her. “That's an improvement. Now do that while you fuck me.” “Stop swearing!” He slapped her hard, blood dribbling from the corner of her mouth. She smiled, blood glistening on her teeth. “Do it again,” she dared him. He dug his nails into her wrist, leaving white crescent marks that nearly drew blood. “No.” She giggled, her gaze turning dark before she spit in his face, blood spraying across his cheeks. He licked his lips, salty copper coating his tongue. He let go of her, undoing his pants as fast as he could. He shoved them down along with his boxers, freeing his cock and taking it in his hand. Collette was already laying with her legs spread, and offered no resistance as he lined it up with her entrance, thrusting into her with as much force as he could. She let out a loud moan, eyes rolling back in ecstasy as he tore into her. She dug her fingers into his lower back, moving her hips against his as he bucked into her mercilessly. “How could you possibly enjoy this?” he demanded through clenched teeth. “Shut up and fuck me! Harder! Fuck me like a man!” He grabbed her thighs, hitching her legs over his shoulders. He looked down and could see the blood coating his dick as he continued his punishing pace. “Jesus Christ. You're going to have to see a doctor.” She reached up, covering his mouth with her hand and staring into his eyes. “Shut. Up.” He grabbed her wrist, twisting her arm and holding it down against the mattress. “Don't tell me what to do,” he growled, his legs growing weak as he approached release. She raked her nails down his back, leaving bright red scratches in their wake. He was shaking, his thrusts becoming sloppier and Collette knew that he wouldn't last much longer. She waited until she could tell he was past the point of no return, cutting him off mid-moan as she swiftly planted her foot against his chest and shoved him backwards. He barely had time to register what was happening before he landed hard on his back, coming across his own chest as the wind was knocked from his lungs. His vision blacked out for a few seconds until he was brought back, Collette cackling madly from above him. “You fucking cunt!” he bellowed, still dazed as he sat up. Collette smoothed her wild hair back and wiped tears of laughter from her eyes. “You should've seen the look on your face.” He managed to stumble to his feet, ignoring the mixture of blood, cum, and Collette’s fluids that painted his lower body. He grabbed her by the hair, flinging her as hard as he could across the room. She collided with his bookshelf, novels tumbling down on top of her naked, tangled body. Kai turned to the mess on his bed, ripping back the sheets and swearing as he saw their assorted liquids had stained through to the mattress. He flipped the entire bed, cussing her out as he tore apart the room. “Fucking ungrateful bitch! Stupid fucking slut!” He turned around, expecting to see her sitting up looking at him with one of her evil expressions. Instead, she still lay unmoving under the pile of books. “God fucking-" He hurried over to her, dragging her out from the wreckage. She was limp, her tiny body a map of bruises and blood. “Fuck, fuck, fuck,” he hissed, putting his head to her chest. Her heart was still beating, shallow breaths rattling in her chest. She wasn't dead- yet. He left her side, hurriedly putting on his underwear and a t-shirt before throwing a blanket over her and flinging her over his shoulder. He made a dash to the bathroom, lowering her into the bath and turning on the faucet. If she was going to die, he at least had to get her cleaned up. He couldn't risk Winter seeing her in her current state. He scrubbed away the blood, carefully washing her entire body while making sure her head stayed above the water. Drown her. Just get it over with now. He shoved the thought away, despite the fact that he knew it would make things a hell of a lot easier. He could just kill her and toss her body in with his parents, and make up a story about her killing herself. He doubted it would surprise Winter- not that Winter would even care. He was too wrapped up in his thoughts of murder to notice that Collette’s eyes had flickered open. She watched him silently as he repetitively banged his head against the edge of the tub. “Trying to give yourself matching brain damage? How cute,” she finally quipped in a shaky voice. “Goddammit, Collette.” “I'm surprised you didn't put me out of my misery.” “I thought about it,” he admitted aloud. “Nice.” She shifted in the water, raising her hand to her head. It came away bloody. “Thanks for the concussion.” “You deserved it.” She shrugged. “Why do you insist on triggering me?” She laughed. “Triggering you? You've been hanging around Winter too much. Soon enough you're going to need your own safe space.” “I'd slap you, but you'd probably die on the spot.” She laughed softly, closing her eyes. “Hey, stay awake,” he said, shaking her by the shoulder. She lazily opened her eyes again. “Suddenly concerned for my well-being?” she asked, raising an eyebrow. “I'm always concerned for your well-being. You just make me so fucking mad…” “I told you, I do it on purpose. You're more fun when you're angry.” “If you don't stop, I'm going to end up killing you whether I mean to or not.” She shrugged. “Doesn't really matter, does it?” “Don't talk like that.” “I'm a fucking failure, Kai. Whether I live or die has no meaning. It would make life a lot easier for you and Winter and everyone else if I was just gone.” “How would that make things easier for me?” Collette sat up, wincing at the various points of pain in her body. Kai stood up and grabbed her a towel, helping her stand up and wrapping her in it before sitting her down on the closed toilet. “You wouldn't have to deal with me. You wouldn't be so confused right now.” “I love you, Collette.” Kai knelt down in front of her so they were eye to eye. “I have since the day you were born. My life wouldn't be better without you. My life would be meaningless without you.” “You don't mean that.” “I do. I love you more than anything.” Collette smiled slightly. “I love you.” Kai smirked. “Wanna have some fun?” She raised an eyebrow questioningly. His smile grew. “We're gonna take over the world.” “ We ?” “Of course. What good is a god without a goddess by his side?” ***** 6 ***** Chapter Notes This is a super-short, unimportant chapter that I wrote to get myself back into writing this season. I felt like I needed some filler info so here it is, and you can look forward to more meaningful and plot- relevant action in my next upload! “What do you fucking mean you're on the way to the hospital?!” Collette’s voice hit a pitch that could barely register through the phone. Kai held it away from his ear and grimaced at the crackling speaker. “Calm down, Collette,” Kai demanded. Collette punched the wall in front of her, causing the rose in the wall-mounted vase outside the master bedroom to tremble. “Collette, what the fuck was that sound?” She kicked a hole through the drywall before looking down at her already- bruising knuckles. “I just broke my fucking hand.” “What?” She ignored his question, questioning him in return. “What the fuck happened?” “I got shot.” “SHOT?!” Kai could tell she was hyperventilating even over the phone. “Collette, I'm going to be fine. You need to calm down and meet me at the hospital.” “Meet you- Kai, I can't fucking drive!” “There's money for a taxi under the coffee maker.” “Under…” a lightbulb went off in her head. “Did you plan this?!” “Shh!” “Oh my god, Kai. I swear to fucking GOD!” She punched through the opposite wall, a cloud of white dust exploding from the hole. “Collette!” “I'm going to fucking shoot you in the skull when I see you!” There was the brief sound of commotion on Kai's end of the phone and Collette paced the hall waiting for him to speak again. “I’m at the hospital and I’ll be going into surgery. Get a cab. I expect you to be here when I wake up.” Collette was shaking from head to toe, and she wanted to scream at him again, but instead forced herself to speak softly. “I love you,” she told him firmly, trying to keep her voice from trembling. “I love you, too. I'll see you soon.”   “What did you do to your hand?” Collette ignored Winter’s question, taking the stale black coffee from her with her unbruised hand while still staring forward at Kai's sleeping form on the hospital bed. “Earth to Collette,” Winter said sarcastically, waving a hand in front of Collette’s face. “Could you not?” Collette snapped, nearly spilling the steaming liquid on herself. “Its none of your fucking business. Where were you when all this happened? Off fucking your boss again?” “Jesus Christ you're a bitch,” Winter muttered, walking away from her. “Oh, okay. I'm the bitch.” “Yeah, you are. Everything was fine until you came back.” Collette audibly ground her teeth, glaring at her sister. “What have I ever done to you that you feel the need to treat me like complete shit?” Winter ignored her. “I already know why,” Collette continued. “I just wanted to hear you say it.” “You don't know anything.” Collette got up, taking a long sip of coffee despite it still being scalding hot. “It's so obvious that you're jealous. You always have been.” Winter laughed humorlessly. “ Riiiight. I'm jealous of a self-centered, slutty fifteen-year-old with daddy issues who dresses like a giant doily.” “Says the Wednesday Addams wannabe who'll fuck anyone who even glances at her. You've had more meat in you than a butchery.” “Ha-ha. How long have you been saving that metaphor?” “Since you fucked three guys on the same night. In my bed.” Winter's eyes narrowed. “What are you talking about?” “Don't try to deny it. I can list their names if it'll jog your memory.” “Stop.” “Oh, I forgot, you're into girls now. Thinking about dicks probably makes you sick. Sorta like that time you got spitroasted on the living room floor. The stain is still there if the lighting is right. I forget which one of them have you gonorr-” “Stop!” Winter slapped Collette hard, spilling coffee across the floor. The nurse who was about to enter the room stopped mid-step, her jaw falling open in shock. “Miss, I'm going to have to ask you to leave,” she said sternly once she had regained composure. “I can't drive,” Collette responded calmly, ignoring the stinging pain blooming across her cheek. “No, not you. You,” she pointed at Winter. “You're telling me to leave?” she asked incredulously. “I just watched you slap this girl! You're lucky I didn't call security immediately.” Collette maintained a blank expression despite her desire to smile. “Do you want me to call the police?” The nurse asked Collette, who shook her head. “No, no need to make a scene,” she responded. “I don't want to bother Kai.” “I need you to leave. Now,” the nurse demanded. Winter turned on her heel, tossing her coffee cup into the trash on the way out, causing it to splatter up the wall. The nurse watched her leave, shaking her head, before turning back to Collette. “Are you alright?” she asked sweetly, putting her hand on Collette’s shoulder. “Yes, I'm fine. Do you know when my brother will wake up?” “He had a heavy dose of morphine just before you arrived, but he should come around soon. You're sure you're alright? Is there someone I should call?” “No, I'm fine, really,” Collette smiled at her. “Okay,” the nurse smiled back. “I'm just going to check his vitals and make sure everything looks okay.” “Thank you.” Please drop_by_the_archive_and_comment to let the author know if you enjoyed their work!
