I take all my fics very seriously hahaha See the end of the work for more notes Jonathan was upset. Dio had promised and he wasn’t there. He had made a promise and broken that promise and Jonathan knew he shouldn’t be surprised because Dio was untrustworthy and deceptive and lied all the time without getting caught. But this was a time too many for Jonathan. He put aside their difference and they got along to an extent, even while he felt the undercurrent of uncertainty he’d had since Danny’s death not six months ago. This kind of thing happened frequently and Jonathan wasn’t exactly the most patient boy, though he did try. Dio had promised to help Jonathan study. He had promised almost two weeks ago to help the next evening. And yet each subsequent evening he never came to the library, giving a poor excuse the next day that Jonathan had allowed so far because he wanted to Get On Well, and he knew the other outcome was to beat the shit out of Dio’s self-satisfied face. Jonathan didn’t want that to happen, for fear of a reprimanding from George (it didn’t mean he couldn’t imagine it. Graphically). And here he was, yet again, waiting in the study at ten minutes to twelve at night with a growing anger and frustration settling low in his stomach. At five minutes past midnight, Dio finally turned up. Coming in the room with an air of arrogant insouciance that set Jonathan’s teeth on edge. He squirmed in his seat, irate and upset from just looking at the other boy. “Ah, Jonathan! Have you been waiting long? I’m so sorry about making you wait, I was caught up revising for my elective classes,” Dio didn’t look sorry at all. Jonathan’s gaze went straight through Dio, trying very hard to keep his roiling emotions off his face. “My, but look at the time! I guess we won’t be able to study again tonight. We really do have the worst of luck,” Dio said, looking at the clock as if in surprised to see the hour so late. As if he hadn’t planned to wait exactly this long to turn up and annoy Jonathan. Did he think he was convincing? Did he think he fooled anyone with those stupid amber eyes filled with false sorrow and stupid eyebrows pinched in mock regret? Jonathan let a slow breath out through his nose. He shouldn’t let his own thoughts work him up so much, but they were. His pulse was thrumming beneath his skin, an angry flush spreading with each of Dio’s words. “I really will make it up to you Jonathan, it’s just I’ve been so busy too with my own studies and school commitments,” Did Dio ever shut up? He really loved the sound of his own voice, which only sounded irritating to Jonathan in his current state. Every letter ‘S’ Dio pronounced in that last sentence hissed in Jonathan’s ears, which irritated him even further. Jonathan shifted again, uncomfortable, when the irritation stirred him between his legs. This reaction only angered him even more. Dio was still talking, “I’ll help you tomorrow, definitely, I promise.” “No,” Jonathan interrupted suddenly, “You won’t. You’ll make up a new excuse and the same thing the day after, and the same thing you’ve been saying each night for ten days!” Jonathan could hear the petulance in his own voice, the way his face screwed up with the emotions that were getting the better of him. And then Dio had the audacity to look slightly offended (and a little surprised) at Jonathan’s words. “I can assure you, Jojo, the excuses are genuine,” He frowned, and crossed his arms. Jonathan stood up from where he’d been sitting on the green settee. “But they’re still excuses, Dio. And poor ones at that. I’ve been patient with you so far, and it pains me as a gentleman to do so,” Dio scoffed at these words, “But I’m going to tell father and then you’ll have to help me,” Jonathan finished, determined. “This may come as a surprise to you, Jojo, but I have things I need to be doing right now like sleeping. So if you’ll excuse me,” Dio tried to turn and leave but was halted by Jonathan’s hand on his shoulder, shaking slightly from withheld rage. “God, do you hear yourself Dio? Oh, so you have things to do? Well I do too.” Dio was about to ask what when a fist connected with his left cheek. His head snapped to the side. It wasn’t hard enough to make him stumble, more of a warning hit, but he was still shocked, raising a hand to feel at the side of his stinging face. Jonathan was now standing about a meter back from Dio, his right fist slightly raised, breathing heavily, pupils dilated. Perhaps this was another one of those instances where Dio had pushed him a mite too far. Dio allowed a confident smirk he was not feeling grace his red lips. “Finally after a rematch? ‘Sure you can win?” He taunted lightly. “Yes. Like how I won last time, Dio,” Jonathan answered, eyes glinting. Dio’s anger immediately bubbled up at the insult, face twisting into an ugly scowl. If Jonathan wanted a fight, a fight he would get. Dio raised both fists and Jonathan mirrored him. Jojo was clearly more upset than Dio anticipated for he threw the first punch. Dio was still better and the fight went exactly as expected, that is: Dio got in all the punches and Jonathan refused to back down. A fluke hit landed right on Dio’s upper lip and nose, numbing his face and sending him stumbling back into the bookshelf behind him. Dio carefully raised his fingers to his face and brought them away to see the blood that was now trickling down and catching on his lips. In adrenaline numbed shock he prepared for the next hit from Jonathan but when he looked up again Jojo had lowered his guard, a look of surprise and remorse on his flushed face. His chest was heaving and pupils dilated, still excited from the rush of their brief fight – an excitement Dio felt too. He looked back at his bloodied fingers. “Oh, Dio I’m so sorry,” Jonathan took a step forward, hands uselessly fluttering over Dio. “I wasn’t thinking, I was so worked up. I didn’t mean to hurt you,” Dio laughed at how stupid Jonathan’s last words were, but it quickly turned to a groan when it aggravated the bruising that was blossoming behind his nose. “Here, let me,” Jonathan fussed around searching for his handkerchief, his hands shaking slightly. At last he extracted it from his back pocket and went to dab at Dio’s lip, his other hand on Dio’s chin to lift his face, but was stopped by Dio’s hand on his wrist. “What-” “Wait,” Dio breathed out. Jonathan looked into Dio’s eyes questioningly. His pupils were blown in the low light of the study, “Don’t clean it up yet.” Jonathan’s eyes flickered down to watch the blood flowing from Dio’s nose and collecting on his swollen upper lip before dripping down and off onto Jonathan’s hand, still cupped on Dio’s chin. He unconsciously licked his own lips. Their faces were very close together. Slowly and uncertain, Jonathan brought his face closer to Dio’s, neither releasing their grip on the other, Jonathan’s eyes mesmerised by Dio’s shining blood. He paused a few centimeters from Dio’s lips, their hot breath mingling. Jonathan inhaled slowly, the smell of blood a palpable tang on his tongue. Jonathan realised he wanted to taste it. He opened his mouth and ran his tongue across Dio’s lips and up to just below his nose. Jonathan’s eyes closed momentarily as he savoured the taste. It tasted like his own blood when he’d tasted it after a boxing match, and yet it sent a new kind of hum through his body. Jonathan opened his eyes to the sight of Dio’s eyes trained on his, unblinking. Their breaths were coming faster now, a breathlessness that had nothing to do with the fight they’d just had. Dio lifted his spare hand to the back of Jonathan’s head and pulled his face in again to brush their lips together. He didn’t know what to think. Jonathan looked as shocked and confused as Dio felt, and yet there was an excitement in his blue eyes and a flush on his face that Dio could feel resonating within his own body. Jonathan darted his tongue out to taste the blood again and Dio got a small thrill seeing his blood on Jonathan’s lips. Their lips crashed together, inexperienced and a little painful. Dio was pulling Jonathan’s face against his own with a bruising force. Every time Jonathan’s nose bumped his it made his whole face throb, but the pain only excited him more. Jonathan pushed his tongue into Dio’s mouth to taste more of the blood that had gathered there, lapping it up sloppily. Dio turned his head to give better access and returned the favour. He let out a surprised yelp of pain when Jonathan bit his tongue that quickly turned into a groan. Dio returned that favour too, pulling back a little to bite at Jonathan’s lips, who whimpered when Dio began working on them until he split the skin. Jonathan’s blood flowed into his mouth and he lapped at the bite. Their bodies were pressed flush together, Jonathan pressing almost his full weight onto Dio, a thigh unknowingly pressed up between Dio’s legs. Their faces were sliding messily, the blood and saliva around their mouths making the skin slick. Jonathan moved his head to lap at the blood that had traveled onto Dio’s neck, who moaned at the new attention, releasing Jonathan’s wrist and threading both hands into the others black, wavy hair. Jonathan’s handkerchief lay forgotten on the ground. Dio ground his hips against Jonathan’s leg, working his pelvis up until it rubbed against Jonathan’s erection. Jonathan gasped at the contact and pulled back a little to look at Dio’s bruising and bloodied face with lidded eyes. “What-” he started to ask before being cut off by his own moan, Dio now rubbing his hips continuously against Jonathan’s. “The chair,” Dio gasped and Jonathan understood, stepping backwards blindly, dragging Dio with him until the back of his knees buckled against the settee and he sat. Dio easily slipped into his lap, straddling him and lapping at Jonathan’s mouth once again. Jonathan felt himself being pressed to lean against the chair back. Dio’s fingers were at his throat, fumbling with the buttons of his white shirt and Jonathan brought his own to Dio’s fastenings. They stumbled through the buttons, the collars of both shirts stained red. Dio’s was much worse. At last Dio untucked Jonathan’s shirt and ripped it back, exposing his abdomen and chest. His pale hands rubbed up and down before squeezing possessively on his pecs, the flesh gave easily. Jonathan’s own hands ran down Dio’s back beneath his shirt until he reached his ass, moving slightly as Dio thrust his hips lightly under the touch. Jonathan slipped his hands around to Dio’s front, where he carefully began undoing his fastenings and laces. Dio was mouthing against his neck now and when Jonathan asked for permission he just groaned. A shiver ran down his spine. Jonathan pulled out Dio’s cock and then went to work on his own laces, mind a little hazy. It would be a lie to say he had forgiven Dio for what he’d done, and there was still a strong urge within Jonathan to hurt the other, punish him for the poor excuses and pointless waiting he’d been forced through each evening over the last week. Jonathan pressed their cocks flush together and Dio groaned beautifully into his ear, rolling his hips once. Jonathan suddenly lifted his right hand and pressed his fingers against Dio’s nose, gathering as much blood as he could, ignoring Dio’s yelp of pain. He tried to pull back but Jonathan used his other hand to hold his head steady, blood painting and matting the blond locks. He used Dio’s blood as lubricant when he started to stroke both of them together. Pained moans turned to pleasure as Dio rocked his hips with each of Jonathan’s strokes. They were young, and excited from the fight. Dio came first, head tilting back and eyes shut tight. His mouth was wide in a silent shout and Jonathan watched with wide, unblinking eyes as a coagulating strand of blood and saliva fell from Dio’s chin onto their cocks and Jonathan’s still servicing hand. He orgasmed. When he came to, Dio was just picking up the handkerchief Jonathan had dropped. He walked back over, avoiding eye contact as he first cleaned up Jonathan and then himself. His brows were furrowed as though in deep thought, and the room was too quiet after the excitement of the past half hour. After Jonathan had tucked himself back in and re-tied his laces he looked up to meet Dio’s gaze, brow furrowed. “You know I still haven’t forgiven you, Dio,” Jonathan pointed out. Dio was still silent, expression turning into its usual scowl. Jonathan stood up and walked over to the door. He stuck his head out to check if the corridor was clear before turning back to the room. Dio had sat himself on the settee. The room was a mess. There was blood and semen on the chair and blood on the floor over by the book shelf. When Jonathan left the room he thought he heard Dio mutter under his breath. It sounded like “I hate you, Jojo”. Jonathan heaved a sigh, letting the tension leak from his muscles as he walked back to his room through the silent manor.
