I hope that this adaptation has proven amusing, if nothing else. I began this project for two reasons: \n1. I was curious to see how robust Twine was.\n2. I had played BMB but was frustrated by how the nature of the gameplay made it difficult to observe all the various transformations going on.\n\nTo test the first, I ported quite a bit of the logic of BMB into Twine (even a lot of stuff I probably didn't have to, it would have been a lot easier to set up everything as simple arrays). Under its default settings, the program proved fairly robust. I did eventually reach a breaking point however, where aesthetic changes were causing calculation errors. The SugarCube header, however, proved more capable and allowed me to continue.\n\nAll in all, the project was rather fun. The lack of many modern programming conveniences forced me to think creatively. In essence, you can create coding conventions to enforce structures not present in the language, though this is likely bad practice generally. I am fairly confidant that if I had really wanted to, I could have simulated the entire BMB game in Twine, although it probably would not have been efficient, and the interface would likely have been different. Creating a game similar to Fenoxo's or Xadera's in Twine would certainly be possible, though I fear that I lack the necessary writing talent to do so.\n\nIn closing, I ask of you the following: support those who create the things you enjoy. If the maker gives their work away share your gratitude (mind you, I'm speaking generally, not fishing for compliments). If the maker sells their work, buy it when you think the price is worth the object's value. Only by supporting the things we enjoy can we encourage the creation of more things we enjoy.
