You're not exactly sure anymore why you've come to the beach. The serene sea breeze feels almost invigorating as you pensively stare at the moon, gently caressing your body with every step you take along the shoreline. Eventually, you decide to go for a swim, or rather, it could be said that you feel compelled to go for a swim. Feeling abruptly desperate to submerge yourself, you head straight for the water, undressing yourself completely on the way there. As soon as the water touches your feet, you feel something unusual slowly creep up on your mind. A small part of you begs you to run away immediately, but everything else orders you to keep going. Your legs start itching. Soon, you fall to your knees. Fish-like green scales fiercely spread down through your lower body like a violent flood. The realization of what's going on hits you like a faint punch through a pillow. You feel like you should be panicking but between the sheer surreality of this whole scenario and the comfort of the sea water, there doesn't seem to be any reason to fight it. Your bones move or disappear frantically and your muscles spasm and readjust as your legs join into one long tail, and a quick jolt of pleasurable agony courses through every fiber of your being as your clam elongates and your innards dance around in adaptation to your new biological setting. Your feet flatten and spread then join into one big caudal fin. The ocean calls for you once more, it is now your home. Welcome to the world of mermaids.
