November 23 - 30, 2003

November 30, 2003 | 8:22 PM

I read both stories (Traci & Jim and Paul, Carol & Dana) that I mentioned in my Thursday journal entry. I enjoyed Traci & Jim quite a bit. It is eroslit's entry for the Holiday story contest. I wasn't quite as wild about Paul, Carol & Dana. I really shouldn't read more than one story in a sitting, unless they are both very short, i.e., less than 2,500 words or so. I think readinmg stories in rapid succession affects my judgement. I'm not saying that I would have enjoyed the Paul, Carol & Dana more, if I had read it in a seperate sitting. I just think that it wasn't fair to read it immediately after reading Traci & Jim.

Today I read chapters 98 - 101 of Time out of Time by Crimson Dragon. I started reading it earlier this year. I can't remember if I have written anything about it before. In case I haven't, it is a story of a man who discovers how to stop time. I do not usually go for these sort of sex stories, but this one is different. For starters there isn't much sex in it.

The main character stops time at the beginning of the story, freezing the entire world. The catch is that once he unfreezes the world everything will revert to the way it was. He figures out how to unfreeze certain things without releasing the entire world from his grip. So he releases some women and decides to keep them as slaves. He disciplines them when they get out of line, and sometimes just for fun. This story isn't for everyone, but it is much better than this quick description.

I can't remember exactly why I dropped it after chapter 97, a few months back. It might have been the length. It is a bit redundant, but not excessively so. On the plus side, I find the circumstances to often be quite erotic even though there isn't that much sex. Speaking of redundant, before I get excessively redundant I think I'll just end it here and give you the URL.

Time Out of Time (MF+, bond, control, sci-fi) by Crimson Dragon - When one man discovers the secrets of Time and exerts his new found control over the world, what will become of Christi, Jane, Elizabeth, Amy, and Sheila?

The nice part about having a huge collection of sex stories is that when I can't anything that suits my tastes I can go back read stories that I have already read before. Sometimes I haven't read stories for years, sometimes it has only been a few days. Either way it is nice to have that option, especially on nights like tonight when I can't seem to find anything to suit my fancy.

Last night I read Sara's Car Trip - Daytona (Incest) by youbadboy. It is the sequel to Sara's Car Trip and almost as good as the original. Things still haven't settled down in this installment. By that I mean that Sara and her brother haven't become mindless zombies. A definite plus. Despite the fact they crossed the line in Part 1, there is still some hesitation. For the most part it is Sara doing the hesitating. The relative proximity of their parents also affects their behavior.

Gotta admit, I read some of those stories that I thought looked good and they weren't all that great. Well, I should be a bit more specific. A Lamb in the Lions' Den by silky-bi-girl wasn't bad. It just didn't quite do it for me. Short, to the point, well edited. The whole situation was a bit too much for me to buy into. I guess it is one of those suspension of disbelief issues.

Whores in My Bedroom by Indy_Pop was a bigger disappointment. The biggest problem was the editing. There were a large number of errors. It wasn't a pretty sight. I pushed myself through most of it, and it ain't all short, but I eventually gave up.

I didn't find the time to go online or even to update this 'blog. I did reread Screwed by JayBee. See here for my thoughts on it late last year when I first read it.

I've been wondering lately... [and feel free to skip this part if it bores you] ...about the impact of reading as many stories as I do has on my sense of reality. I stopped looking at pornographic images (movies, magazines, etc.) several years ago because I felt their were warping me into something that I didn't feel comfortable being. What was that thing? I'm not sure, but I knew that I was reading too much and that I had trouble just cutting back so I cut out the pornographic images altogether. Since then, I have on occasion spent time looking at porn pics, but not regularly and not much at all in the past couple years.

Anyhow, here's what looks good tonight:

I really don't have the time to be doing this, but I want to write about the story I read last night, Sara's Car Trip by youbadboy. This isn't the first story I have read or enjoyed by this author. This one isn't a whole lot different than some of the others in that it involves a brother and sister in their late teens to early twenties experimenting. They don't jump in the pool headfirst. They begin by dancing around it, occasionally dipping their toes in. Bit by bit they warm to the notion of an incestuous relationship.

What marks this story as different, to me at least, is the almost romantic nature of it to me. I can't remember the last time I read a sex story in which holding hands was erotic. Really remarkable. Anyhow, I wanted to write about it and now I have.

One other thing that strikes me about this story is the fact that the author doesn't bother to go into too many specific details when it comes to physical appearances. He doesn't describe Sara like she is a supermodel or a playmate, he describes her in her brothers words, as beautiful. In particular, he doesn't bring out the tape measure and insist on cataloging Sara's exact measurements.

It drives me nuts when authors insist on telling the reader the exact measurements of female characters. It really adds nothing to the story in my book. If anything, I find it to be a bit of a turn off, especially when it is a guy doing the sizing and merely by using his eyes.

I want to write about Teachers Pet by Thesandman, but I'm kinda running out of time. Maybe tomorrow night or over the weekend.

It has been a few days now. I haven't been reading much. Last night I read the third chapter of Suprise Honey by curious2c. Still not a great story, but not bad either. Okay, some of it is a little cliched, at least in this genre, i.e., incest and for that matter sex stories in general. Still it kept my interest and that's all I'm going to say to defend my reading it or recommend it to you.

One story did catch my eye while looking around on the web the other day:

  • Sara's Car Trip (Incest) by youbadboy - Sharing a bed on road trip with Mom and Dad.
I noticed the other day that Gary Johns seems to have started writing another long story. I don't know if that means there won't be any more chapters or not to Higher Education, but I sure hope not. He has already posted six chapters of the new story, Brian's Sweet Slut.

Quite often it is easier to write bad reviews than good ones. Put another way, it is usually easier to spot things that I think need improvement, than it is those that work. Last night I read Memories of Joseph (Incest) by Jessy19 and Scott, Brenda, Beth, & Andy (Incest) by dr mabuse SOI. I tried earlier today to write something substantial and positive about them, but it kept coming out looking crappy. So I deleted what I wrote and just want to tell you that I enjoyed them both.

They are both short, 6,000 words and 4,500 words respectively. Neither one feels rushed. The characters don't seem to give in too quickly to lust. There is some hesitation. Most of Memories of Joseph is told as a flashback, with a story-within-a-story framing device.

I read Loving Daddy by L.A. Wicker last night. It is about a man (John) and his daughter (Lena), and the daughter (Jena) he has with Lena.

Not a bad attempt. The author obviously knows how to put sentences together and write dialogue. It's a shame that the entire story revolves around nothing but sex. A little more realism would do this story a lot of good.

What looks good tonight:

  • Breast Friends (Lesbian) by Thesandman - Riley and Teri have been friends forever.
  • Whores in My Bedroom (Incest) by Indy_Pop - A visiting sister changes the life of a husband & wife.

I was too beat last night to even turn on the computer. So I didn't.

On Monday night I started in on Suprise Honey by curious2c. I read the first couple chapters. The plot is a bit convoluted. The main character is one the guys who has made it rich by his late thirties. After his second wife dies of cancer he buys a yacht (I think) and decides to take a trip to Alaska (I think). Anyway, he hires a crew that (suprise, suprise) includes three beautiful women. To make a long story short the rest is kinda predictable.

Oh, yeah I forgot to mention something. One of the women is his 19-year-old daughter who he hasn't seen in ten years. He doesn't recognize her until after she tells him who she is. Then she tells him why she seduced him, but you'll have to read or skim the story if you want to find that out.

My thoughts? Not bad, but not great.

If I had a nickel for every story I've read that features some guy who has made it rich by his late twenties or thirties I'd have made it rich by now. Of course after he makes it rich he has to hire beautiful women to work for him. Inevitably he ends up sleeping with them.

Don't get me wrong there have been some great stories IMO that fit this mold. Call Girl Cheerleaders by Richard Bissel is one. It dragged a bit after the first twenty to twenty-five chapters, but still it was well worth the read. It's a damn shame it isn't available for free anymore. Give me some time and I might be able to name a few more. I'll think about it.

I read First Day of School (Lesbian) by eroslit last night. Great story. It has plot and character development. In structure it resembles some of eroslit's other stories, but with a little more plot. The story seems to be about friendship, the sex is the icing on the cake, I guess.

...

Okay, I've looked but I just don't think I'm in the mood tonight. Think'll grab a comic book instead.

I just updated the web site to add most of the recent blog entries (October 26 - November 7). I'm getting ready to mail out the journal entries from November 1 - 9.

I was tooling around on the Internet this morning when I discovered an internet radio interview with Nick Scipio. It can be found at The Basement Internet Show. One word of warning about the interview, the sound quality isn't exactly perfect. Specifically, the interviewer's voice comes through much louder than Nick Scipio's.

I read chapter 3 of The Wolf Summers by El Sol, last night. I don't think I will read any more of this story. I need more than this story has to offer. There is plenty of sex, ut the characters just don't come through. Not much in the way of plot either. Maybe I am just being impatient. Maybe I should give the story some more time to grow on me, but, I did read 25,000 words. I think that is more than just a toe in the water.

Last night I ended up reading parts two and three of Sean Comes Home by nikki_2020. Very satisfying. I enjoyed it.

I also read chapter 6 of Reconnecting by jt123. At the end of chapter 5 Mike and Cindy had decided to move in with Mike's mother, Wendy. Not because they planned on having red-hot sex with her, but beacuse Mike had been transferred and they needed a place to stay. In chapter 6, Wendy discovers that she and Mike aren't the only two in the house who like to get it on with one of their relatives.

I read the first two chapters of The Wolf Summers by El Sol. It was pretty good. There isn't a whole lot of dialogue. Mostly narration, from the main character. It starts in the when David (the main character) is in college (Chapter 1) and then jumps back to the summer he was 12 (Chapter 2). I'm not sure where it goes from there, but I get the impression the author fills in what happened in between 12 and 20 and then pushes the story a little further. It looks more like male fantasy material than female fantasy.

Tonight I started off by reading a comic book, so I'm not sure if I'll be reading any stories tonight, but I might. I am looking at the moment.

So far the following stories look interesting:

I read Educating Edward last night. Two things stickout in my mind about this story. The dialogue and the title. Taking them in reverse order, the title is a bit misleading, not hugely so, but it gave me that it was about a sister educating her younger brother about sex. Which it is, but they go beyond just the basics, which is what the title suggested to me.

The other thing about this story is the dialogue. It seems a bit silted or whole wheat. From the author's name, Alien47, and the nature of the dialogue I can't help but wonder if English is not his primary language. It is kind of like what you might hear on primetime network television in the United States, except much more graphic. Still, it was good for a few chuckles, although I doubt that was the author's intention.

If you don't finish reading a story does it ever end? I mean if you stop reading it with one chapter to go, does the story end? I'm thinking no. I say that because I have this tendency to stop reading long stories that I am enjoying and picking up other ones. I do it all the time. Sometimes I will get back to the ones I haven't finished and read the ending, but quite often I won't. But, then, that's just my opinion and doesn't really answer the question: If you don't finish reading a story does it ever end?

Scribble, scribble...

I read part 4 of _Higher Education_ by Gary Johns. Good stuff. I'm enjoying the parts dealing with Katie the most. Probably because she is still virgin, and although she is attracted to Jim (I think that's the main character's name), she hasn't given into his advances or her own desires just yet.

Why is it that Literotica just put up a link to their Halloween story contest? Isn't it a little late now? I kept checking figuring they would sooner or later. I guess they decided that later was better.

I think I might have something to read.

...looking...

...looking...

...looking...

OK, I think I found something it is a work in progress at Stories Online: The Wolf Summers by El Sol. I haven't read anything by this author before, but just from scanning the story this one looks like one to read. Given the length I will probably space it out over the period of at least a few weeks.

I did read Feeling the Pinch (which it turns out maybe the first chapter in a longer story) and Sibling Affection last night. I enjoyed both of them. I probably should have stopped reading after I finished Feeling the Pinch. I was certainly hot and sweaty enough at that point. Still, I think I was coherent enough to analyze Sibling Affection, on an emotional level if on no other.

I've found two stories that look good.

I think I'll be reading them both tonight...

...which makes me think ... I've been reading a lot of stories in two's lately. Hmmm....
