Danny watched as the eye of the typhoon moved over the local area. There was no sign of the guards at all! Danny quickly roused Lizzie. "Princess, lets go. It's time to move on. We need to find a cave further away."

I knew Lizzie didn't want to venture forth, but we had to put distance between us and the pirates. Danny and Elizabeth trudged along, paralleling the coast. They walked with their heads down, but the wind was dying out, at least for now.

Danny saw a small town in the distance on the coast. He pointed it out to Lizzie, but told her that they couldn't go there until the pirates searched for them there, that would be the first place they looked.

They moved along the line of hills looking for a cave. Not just any cave, but one that would shelter them from the second half of the typhoon. They got closer to the town as they moved along the hills. Danny finally spotted a promising opening in the rocks. The opening was narrow, but it blossomed out into a roomy cave.

Danny led Lizzie into the cave. Once inside he took her in his arms and kissed her deeply. "Well, we're going to be here for hours, Princess. Can you think of anything we can do for all that time?"

Danny and Lizzie held each other though the eye and the second half of the storm. They also kept up a careful watch for pursuit, but there was none.

Danny looked deep into Lizzie's brown eyes. "Do you want to try the town now, or wait until after the Pirates check it, that is if they do?"

Lizzie said nothing as she took the cheese from his hand. She didn't even remember there being cheese, but figured Danny got it while she slept at some point. His eyes moved from Elizabeth to inspect the landscape and no doubt the gears were turning about what they were going to do. As long as he got me out of this and home to my family, I didn't care. Lizzie and I were holding each other close while I thought of what we could do. Suddenly, something caught Danny's eye as he looked out over the landscape and the ocean. A distant spec on the water was getting closer and closer.
