After the relatively poor response to Harem'd (the 'last' Nicola Adventure), I thought about dropping writing for ASSM altogether.
However, I still had a few stories about the Aussie starlet who'll do anything in her quest for fame, so in September 2003 I began the "Lost" Nicola Adventures, an extension of the original series. These were followed up in 2005 by two "Lost & Found" Nicola Adventures, which were genuinely "lost and found" as they were stories that I had started and abandoned. Then, in 2009 I revisted Nicola and returned with the prequels.

| Like An Immodest Proposal, this is another part of the backstory that I'd always intended, right down to the pun on the central character's name, "Phil Thee" (filthy). However, unlike the other prequel, virtually the entire plot of this story had already been recounted in Bikini Audition. There's a few discrepancies: Nicola doesn't appear too nervous (although the story is told from Phil's point of view, so maybe she is quaking on the inside); her reaction to Phil's initial request is more playful than bitchy and there's no mention of her calling him a pervert; this takes place during the day rather than in the evening; and strictly speaking she doesn't fuck Phil but rather suck him off (and he doesn't take any pictures of the act). However, these last two points could refer to a second shoot Nicola does with Phil (she also does a spread for Australian Penthouse). Rather than change the story to match, I deliberately left them as is - just call me JJ Abrams. I'd consulted an article on Literotica for some guidelines on how to write the blowjob scene, while dialogue from the modelling sequence was lifted from Starlet Screen Test 3. The description of Nicola prancing around the GTV function in a little black cocktail dress & heels was inspired by a (sadly married) girl I work with. A brumby is a wild Australian horse (I'd actually written "bronco" before realising "brumby" was more suitable). The characterisations are a little all over the place - Phil especially lurches from being pervy to shy then back to pervy again, but I decided to sacrifice character for story. There's also a deliberate error of time - An Immodest Proposal had already established this was August and that Nicola had met Phil 9 months ago, Filthy Pictures notes that Phil stalked Nicola at Melbourne Cup Day, which is in November - 10 months beforehand.

| I'd always had a backstory in mind for Nicola, but never had any serious intention of writing it until late 2008. The basic story is just how I imagined it in 2001: Nicola is a "good girl" who never fucks around, flaunts her body or even poses nude; her agent is forced to "give her up" to repay a favour; and Nicola's new agent, a dark, mysterious American (his name is never given, and he barely appears in the original stories) exerts some influence over her (which is technically what makes this a mind control story, although I suspect many mc afficianados may be disappointed). Thereafter, Nicola become alot more open about her body. This is Nicola's first lesbian encounter, which is briefly alluded to in Bikini Audition, the first ever Nicola Adventure. Stylistically, the writing is different, and owes more to my non-porn fiction over the past couple of years. There's almost no jocularity (which became a hallmark of many stories), and is closer in tone to Bikini Audition, although I'm trying for a sharper, more pithy style.

| Started in February 2005, this was always going to be a very short, uncomplicated story, with a twist near the middle but still the pay-off promised in the title, with a pretty heavy comedic bent.
I'd written as far as Nicola's sudden realisation (i.e., about three-fifths of the story), and then left it off. I didn't come back to IOU1BJ until August 2006, and over the course of a couple of days, finished it up, plus some minor editing and changes. It ended up pretty much as I originally intended, although Susan's part is a little larger.
Upon returning, I realised that the name of the bar, "Shooters", comes from Melrose Place (God only knows why I dredged that up from my subconcious, I hated that show.).
The description of Nicola's signed photo is based on a real fan photo I have of Gail Harris. "White balance" is, as Kenji explains, the process of setting the electronic colour levels in a video camera.

| Heavily inspired by this particular article in PA magazine, plus Penthouse: Ultimate Pet Games. The erotic appeal of the TV weather girl has been something I've wanted
to explore in the Nicola Adventures for some time. I originally began this story in August 2003 and by January 2004 I'd put if off, concluding that it wasn't working. There were too many characters, the plot was unfocused, and I just couldn't get the ending to 'work'. However, in early September 2005, I returned to Weather Girl Showdown, and
decided to finish it up, completing it pretty much as I intended, even down to Angela finally winning over Nicola (sort of).

| This was a story suggestion sent in by a reader, who wanted to see a tale featuring Pam Bethlehem, a character from the movie Gimme An 'F'. They also supplied much of the plot, as well as writing the sex scenes (which is why they
are unusually detailed). My research consisted of watching an episode of a show called "Faking It USA", in which a nerdy college grad is made over to pass herself off as a professional cheerleader. A number of story details, such as Nicola's
room-mates and the part where she acts very 'friendly' in the mall were inspired by this documentary. The team she worked with was the Atlanta Falcons, and I based the Lil' Devils costume on their cheerleaders. Of course, I couldn't resist a
passing reference to the 2004 Superbowl (this story being set in 2001).

| I'd been working on scanning a photo of Raelyn Saalman from Attack of the 60ft Centerfold, in which she appears wearing a leopard-print bikini, when I came up
with the idea for this story. Originally the shop owner was going to be just some sleazy guy, but I decided that since I had already established him, why not use Sammy Fish? I'm kicking myself that I
hadn't thought of the acronym for his company F.R.E.E. (Fish Recreation & Entertainment Enterprises) before. His remark at the end about charity work slingshots to the episode referred to in Best in Show.
"Hot Surf" was the title of a T&A comedy that I saw many years ago, it seemed like a good name for a bikini shop. The scene where Nicola changes into the bikini in front of Sammy was inspired by Starlet Screen Test 3.

| Another story suggested by a reader, wondering after a throwaway line in Best in Show as to what were the circumstances surrounding Nicola's nude gym work-outs.
Uses a basic STSWB storyline, with Nicola's narrative as a framing device (which allows me to fudge when this story is set). I've also employed some elements from mythic storytelling, specifically the bit where Nicola receives the 'call to adventure'
but ignores it, only to accept it when a more powerful catalyst comes along. The gym setting allows me to clothe Nicola in some saucy exercise attire. The first NA for quite some time to be posted to the newsgroup first.

| In November 2003 I was contacted by a fan named Nicole who asked me to write a Nicola Adventure featuring a character based upon her. After supplying me with background material and ideas, a story came together quickly. Nicole herself wrote several passages and supplied the title.
There was something of a danger of the reader confusing the names 'Nicole' and 'Nicola' but hopefully, with some careful wording, this won't happen. By a weird coincidence, during the writing process I'd already written in the character of Marcus when I was contacted by a guy named Marcus who also requested
he appear in a Nicola Adventure. So after consulting Nicole, only a few changes in description were necessary to add him to the story. Master and Apprentice is my first story to have been written upon request. To honour the hot little English babe who inspired it, this story appears in UK English.

| I'd been working on the next Nicola adventure but struggling with a spot of writer's block. So, after being inspired by watching repeats of the series Action, I came up with this story.
David is based upon myself (of course) and the character of Adam Rafkin from that show. Bianca was based upon an 'escort' I once met. The name of the spa, 'Casa del Paradiso', fits in with the other hotels I've used
so far (Paradise Towers, Paradise Beach, Paradise Glade, etc).

| A bit of the old formula I've used before: Nicola has a job to do; it requires her to wear a sexy outfit, show off her fantastic bod and 'put out'; Angela unexpectedly shows up to complicate matters; it looks like
Nicola is going to lose out to her rival; but at the last moment there's a reversal of fortune. Nicola had actually dressed as a French maid before in Knickers Down in Acapulco. (She also claimed to be a maid in Sex Kitten, but she was naked at the time.)
Originally, Nicola was to fail as well, to explain why there's been no Passionate Penny movie mentioned before, but in the end I sacrificed continuity for story. This was my first story that was shared with the
ASSTR writer's group on Yahoo, and was slightly revised following some feedback.
