Adult Content Warning - this material may contain adult themes, including general sexual activity, non-consensual bondage/slavery and forced sexual acts. If you are under the lawful age for such materials (18 in most jurisdictions) or if you would find such material offensive, please go elsewhere.

Safety Warning. This story may contain descriptions of practices that are decidedly unsafe, either in general, or if performed by someone without adequate training. There are a number of good books available on safety in the BDSM scene. Most large cities, and some not so large ones, have organized BDSM groups that will usually welcome a newcomer. I’m not going to point out which practices are safe, and which aren’t. Any practice is unsafe if performed by someone with inadequate training and experience, or if performed when not paying attention. Please think before you act. Don’t make yourself a candidate for a Darwin award.

Well, you’ve agreed to the legalities, so you’re probably wondering, "What Have I gotten myself into now?"

It’s a bunch of stories (57 at last count, with more in some stage of being written.) There are ponygirls all over the place (which is enough to justify the X rating), a small amount of sex, some of this and some of that. To repeat the entry page, there are few, if any, stroke stories here. They’ve all got noticable plots, high quality plasterboard characterization and settings. They mostly involve bondage, submission, dominance. Most, but by no means all, are ponygirl (and a few ponyboy) stories. Some of them have transgender themes, or mention transgender themes in passing. I don’t usually do humiliation or violence (except in real moderation), and don’t do underage sex or incest at all. That doesn’t mean that some of those may not turn up in one story or another; they are part of real life, after all. They will not, however, be the main component of any story on this site.

I have a tendency to take common themes you’ll find in lots of BDSM porn and ask: what would a world be like where this kind of behavior was normal? Not just placing it in a "realistic" setting and letting the credibility strain at the seams, but attempting to work out the ramifications so that the society I show (if only in the background) actually works. What would a world be like where you could go to your local slave warehouse and buy a housekeeper to help with raising your family, and then sell her when you were done? Where she had the same rights as any other citizen? Sometimes the result looks more than a little bizzare.

They’re mostly science fiction (in the sense of reasonably well worked out world building and some adherence to the "only one currently impossible technology" rule). Some of them are out and out sword and sorcery fantasy, a few take place in the Real World (tm). The science fiction and fantasy stories contain the occasional reference to obscure (and some not so obscure) works. If that turns your crank, have fun finding them. (No, there are no prizes.) A couple are humor (closer to slapstick, actually), but most of them are pretty mainline in that respect.

Enjoy. I’ll be posting them sporadically as I finish editing them. Most of the stories that are already here are going to have minor revisions to change my email address. The old address at MailAndNews.com no longer works. You should be able to use the e-mail contact on the ASSTR table of contents to write me. I check my new address about once a week, which, while slow, is a bit better than the obsolete addresses in most of the stories!

New Stuff!

June 5, 2009 Today’s update includes the only story in my series of Whateley Academy fan-fics that fits within ASSTR's mission: To Train a Ponygirl. I've also got two more from the Contract Slavery universe: Sally's Story and Fiona. This may be the last update for a while. I've got a lot more stories in some stage of completion, but that's where there are: incomplete.

June 2, 2009 Today’s update is the last major story I wrote in the Community series: Engineer.

June 1, 2009 Today’s update starts off with the two Empire of Kafuzalum stories: Ponygirl Hostage and The Dutchess and the Ponygirl, and continues with another story in the Contract Slavery series: Captive!. It’s also got another history update for that series. There’s also a fix for a broken link to the story A Slave Girl of Freehold.

May 31, 2009 Today’s update is two more stories in the Contract Slavery series. The Panther Girl is expanded quite a bit from the version that appeared a couple of years ago on a TG site. Shirley is less of a story than it is a conversation between a young woman who wants to be a Gorean Slavegirl, and a member of the Guild of Slave Trainers who patiently explains what it's really about, and why she has to do a few things first. There are also two more background pieces.

May 26, 2009 Today’s update is three more stories in the Contract Slavery series. Shake the Bars and SCREAM! is sort of a sequel to Girl in a Cage. Then there's They Also Serve and At Darwin's Delight. Enjoy.

May 25, 2009 Today’s update is more of the Contract Slavery series. There's a new story, Girl in a Cage, a booklet that goes with one of the previous stories, You and Your Premier Ponygirl and another installment on the series background.

May 23, 2009 Today’s update is the beginning of a new series, the Contract Slavery series, with four stories, and more in the pipeline. It also has an update to Eden, which got mangled in editing. I didn’t catch it. Oops.

May 21, 2009 For the second update today, three more stories. You Treat Me Like Furniture is a vignette. Then Circe’s Island is a bit of a romp through Hell, and finally a short novel that might possibly be a romance: Ponygirl Minder. You probably wouldn’t want to live there.

May 21, 2009 Three more new stories, which I have managed to put into the Scatterbrain scenario. They are: Sentenced to be a Ponygirl, Shopping Trip and Trophy Wife.

May 20, 2009 Today’s second update is a new take on an old fairy tale: Cinderella

May 20, 2009 Today’s update is definitely minor: the two Dodecahedron stories, plus a minor update of another story to change the e-mail address to my current e-mail.

May 18, 2009 Today we’ve got the eight Freehold stories for you. There’s also another minor update to reformat and change the email address.

May 15, 2009 Here’s a suite of short stories (seven of them) about a young woman who can’t get the fascination with being a ponygirl out of her head. So she decides to run with it. There’s also a earlier story in the same series: Lab Rat, and an update to an older story that was originally scheduled for January 21, 2005.

May 14, 2009 It’s been a while since the last update. Like, um, over four years. What happened? Well, I moved. I’m not saying from where to where, although I seem to remember R’lyeh and Dunwich being somewhere in the journey. Anyway, the update that was scheduled for January 21, 2005 is here: Bound in Chocolate There’s a lot of stuff pending, some of which has never been published anywhere else.

January 14, 2005 Cooking Emmy plus two minor updates.

January 3, 2005 A Meditation on Turk’s Morning chores

December 27, 2004 How I left the Far Northland

December 20, 2004 Something for the season. A Week as a Pony is one of the first stories I ever wrote, and I still think it’s one of the best.

December 13, 2004. Read What You Sign!

July 23, 2004. The two stories in the Elves and Ponygirls series.

There’s a story about a publisher who wanted to put out a book that had absolutely no errors of any kind. He subjected it to many passes through the proofreaders and copyeditors, inspected the galleys until he drove the typesetters stark raving mad, and eventually thought he had it. Then he sent it to the printers. Everything looked good, until ... he discovered a spelling error on the title page!

Every once in a while I go back and reread some of these, and I usually discover yet another spelling error, grammatical faux paus, or poorly cast sentence or paragraph. So I fix them and repost. If it’s not in the new stuff list above, new versions are minor editorial corrections

Elves and Ponygirls

This, of course, is an out and out fantasy. It starts out with a virgin sacrifice, and we all know that the reason there aren’t any unicorns around any more is the lack of virgins. Right?

The Sacrifice

Lord Howard tries a virgin sacrifice to call up a demon so he can get a ponygirl ranch beyond the reach of the authorities. He gets a dark elf duke instead. The elf takes the sacrifice as his consulting fee, and decides to give Lord Howard his wish, for reasons of his own. This is Tania’s story as one of the elves’ ponygirls, named Bushytail.

The Contest

The elf duke decides to challenge Lord Howard to a game of ponygirl polo. Lord Howard has a few problems with that. Nobody on his side knows polo. Besides, they’ve never figured out how to ride a ponygirl. Well, it turns out the elves have a plan….

The Were-Ponygirls

Tania has managed to get everyone out safely after the elf Duke lets the deminse go to Chaos, and now she has to figure out what she's going to do with her ponygirl ranch.

The Empire of Kafuzalum

This, of course, is another out and out fantasy. The first story is very early: January 2001.

Ponygirl Hostage

Lady Deborah's father, the Duke of Balizon, issues his defiance of his leige. King Abronix orders his children, being held hostage for his good behavior, to suffer a fate worse than death. Lady Deborah has other plans...

The Duchess and the Ponygirl

King Rupert is getting more and more uneasy about having Lady Deborah resident at his castle, especially since she has a poorly understood sorcerous relationship with Princess Malrode, the descendent of the late King and Queen of the previous dynasty. I suppose anyone would have some difficulty understanding a Princess who spends part of her time as a writing table, part of her time as a magic mirror, and part of it as - something else. He decides that that Lady Deborah should further her education at the capital of the Empire of Kafuzalum. Further being the operative word.

The Accounting

The Empire of Kafuzalum has awarded Lady Deborah the duchy formerly ruled by the treasonous duke. There's just one little problem. The accounts are a mess, the creditors are pounding on the door and all of the fiefdoms are heamoraging money. The only thing that's standing between her and them is her storehouse of fabulous gems, and now the gem merchants are beginning to ask questions. Something Must Be Done.

New Babylon

New Babylon is a pleasure resort on Maui, 24 thousand years in the past. There is one story (with a second in the works) that shows what happens to a down and out character when she becomes a ponygirl there.

Read What You Sign
(Complete in one download)

Yvonne has been tossed out of her college with no notice, and is currently living in a real slum. She finds a man with a job - a five year indenture as a sex slave on New Babylon. She should have read the contract before signing it!

In seven parts -->  Part 1  Part 2  Part 3  Part 4  Part 5  Part 6  Part 7

Jill’s Ponygirl

Jill of the Jungle was the designated quarry in New Babylon’s premium escaped slave hunts. Cindy wanted to retire to New Babylon after embezzling enough from MegaCorp to provide for a lifetime of luxury. How is Cindy going to adapt to being Jill’s ponygirl? (in preparation).

Scatterbrain

These stories (five here, four in some stage of writing) take place in a world that has been ravaged by the Plague Decades which reduced the world population to around 1.5 billion over a 20 year period. The last plague was Scatterbrain, which resulted in a sex ratio of one male to every 3 females, around half of whom were too damaged by Scatterbrain to function without computer control.

2005 Lab Rat

How do you build a race of self-perpetuating cyborgs, if you don’t care about ethics?

2006 Selling the Cyborgs

Now you’ve got them, what do you do with them?

2008 Kiss Pray

The Sisterhood of the Electron has been established, and now it’s got its hands full riding the tiger with the technology it’s introduced.

The Plague Decades started in 2010. The first plague rolls over everything like a tsunami. The more advanced parts of the planet manage to hang on by their teath, coming out of it with most of their technology intact. However, they’ve got a lot of adjusting to do. The next three stories take place during the Plague Decades, after the second plague.

2017 Trophy Wife

This is a story I wrote for Chas, at the now defunct Sweet Chastity site. I’ve transplanted his Chastity-Permalock to this scenario. (It does not go forward past the final Scatterbrain plague in 2030)

2017 Shopping Trip

Ralph’s wife indulged in a bit of embezzlement. Turns out she had already been convicted twice, which he didn’t know. After considering the alternatives, she decides that becoming his puppy is the lesser of the evils. Now Ralph has to get the accounterments, like a traveling kennel and an invisible fence.

2017 Sentenced to be a Ponygirl

Chuck Wayner is a three time loser; the justice system decides that he’ll fetch a higher price as a ponygirl than as anything else. Sally thinks she knows how ponygirls are trained. Little does she know...

The Plague decades are over, and things have settled down. Society has come to grips with the fact that Scatterbrain is incurable, and can’t be eradicated, at least in the next couple of centuries.

2070 Trainee Ponygirl

Sally couldn’t get her fascination with ponygirls out of her head. So she decided to become one.

In 7 parts:  Part 1  Part 2  Part 3  Part 4  Part 5  Part 6  Part 7

2070 Farm, with Ponygirls

Your sister had a bad case of Scatterbrain, and had to become a ponygirl. Your mother is not taking it well.

2090 Rediscovery!

The Survey Service’s latest ship, the South Seas, heads out to check out the South Sea Islands, which had remained uninhabited since being depopulated during the Plague Decades. Well, that’s what the environmental monitoring satellites said, and they couldn’t be wrong. Right?

Cinderella

I suppose most people get around to redoing the old fairy tales. Here’s my take on Cinderella.

Cinderella: The Real Story

Ella Cinder is left at home while her stepmother and stepsisters go to the ball. There is, her stepmother says, no money left. Her fairy godfather, Guido, comes with a gown and all the accessories, and they go to the ball anyway, where Prince Patrick announces that he’s going to ask the Royal Council for permission to ask for her hand in marriage.

Cinderella’s Revenge

Ella discovers that the Royal Family is nothing like she had expected. Her two stepsisters think that becoming ponygirls is a better fate that dying in the Royal Mines as their lungs are eaten out with rock dust. And what happens to the stepmother?

The New Ponygirl

The muse quit in the middle of figuring out what was going on with the Royal Game Preserve. Sigh.

Contract Slavery

This is a series that takes place in an alternate future which spins off from our history around 2006. The neo-cons stay in control for another several terms, finally losing control around 2020, but not before they’ve made permanent changes to the social fabric that aren’t easy to simply eliminate.

The stories go from 2017 (Diaper Daze) to 2130 (Retraining). Some characters repeat in a few stories, but for the most part they’re independent.

There are a lot of changes over time that it would be tedious to add into stories as data dumps. It would also be tedious to read them, and keep track of them as well, so I’ve added a bit of future history information linked from some of the story dates.

2017-2020 Diaper Daze

Darlene Smitts comes home unexpectedly to pick up a file she forgot to take with her, and discovers her husband, Roger, lying on the floor doing something on a laptop. He’s wearing a diaper, is dressed in something frilly and has his long hair up in angel wings.

2021 Sally’s Story

The government is trying to unload the prison system by placing as many convicts into "private custody" as they can manage. This is a day in the life of one of them. Frying pan, meet fire.

2033 The Christmas Gift

You and Your Premier Ponygirl

Neil and Cindy are having a spat. Neil looks at the "True Love and Eternal Devotion" certificate that Cindy had given him, and decides that he’s had enough of her. Permanently.

You and Your Premier Ponygirl is an owner’s manual that accompanies each Premier Ponygirl sold.

2040 Betrayed

Anna wants to have a long ponygirl experiance while her husband, Terry, is away on a business trip. They contract with Excelsior Stables and Kennels for the experiance. There are, of course, a few legalities that have to be dealt with.

2041 Becoming A Ponygirl

Tammy wants to become a ponygirl - she thinks they’re just so cute. Since she’s turned 18, her parents can’t absolutely forbid it. They wind up at Excelsior Stables and Kennels.

2055 Girl in a Cage

Eric puts his girlfriend, Eva, in a kennel for formal slave training while he’s off doing something else.

2056-2068 Shake the Bars and SCREAM

Tina takes a fancy to the two slave vocalists in the Wild Girls band, and asks her sister, Fran, to buy them when the band breaks up and decides to sell them.

2060 The Second Generation Ponygirl

Donna’s roommate Sharon has a bit of a problem. She’s given her boyfriend a True Love and Eternal Devotion contract, and he’s just jilted her. Donna is a second generation ponygirl, and decides that Sharon might make a good rider. However, she needs to nail her down first.

2069 Wild Girls, Inc.

Fran and Tina’s cousins, Cassie and Debbie, want to be Trophies. Thus hangs the tale.

2069 Fiona

Fiona hates the way her boyfriend’s apartment looks. She also hates housework: that’s slave work. She doesn’t, however, have all that much objection to being a slavegirl for a while, to find out how it feels.

2070 They Also Serve

Terry isn’t able to keep a job, and his parents can’t legally support him for more than a year after he leaves school. Public Aid isn’t willing to support him either. It’s either the Labor Batallions or sign a slave indenture. This appeared previously on a TG site for a contest.

2070 The Girlfriend Contract

Melanie has been cheating on Terrance. Terrance has had enough. It’s either get out or sign a Girlfriend Contract.

2070 Trouble: Two Girls, One Roof

David has two live-in girlfriends: Naomi and Sherry. They are going to learn to live together harmoniously, or he’s going to kick them out and get two more. He’s the one with the money. Lots of money.

2070 At Darwin’s Delight

Mark and his slavegirl, Lanie, are going to Darwin’s Delight for what she thinks is a vacation. His objective is slightly different: the North American Association police are about to catch up with him, and he’s leaving for the Outlaw Nations first.

2075, 2085-2086 The Panther Girl

Abner is enchanted with the Panther Girl that a classmate has brought back from a Panther Girl Hunt at the Gorean Hunting Preserve. He decides to get one for himself.

2080 Shirley

Shirley wants to become a Gorean Slavegirl to experiance what it’s like. Deana explains what it’s about and why she can’t do it right now. There might be a couple of hot scenes in here, but it’s mostly a data dump.

2087 Teresa (tentative title)

This is also somewhat of an extended data dump of how the Gorean Association functions.

2128 Captive!

Judy decides to offer herself as a Games Prize at the quarterly Games at the Games Enclave. Her Champion loses, but she’s ransomed at the end. Not before Happy Harry’s Sizzling Slavegirls has installed the Sex Kitten modification, though. Happy ending? Not quite.

2129 Retraining

Judy goes to Oceanic University for her professional refresher before taking up a career.

Whateley Academy

Lions, Tigers, and Bears... oh, wrong story there. Those things wouldn't go near Whateley Academy if they were wise. Whateley is a Prep School for different teens. VERY different ones. Where else could a kid go to a school that has a resident demon living in the furnace? Or meet magic users, mutants of every imaginable kind, get trained in how to handle some rather odd abilities, and worry about flunking Freshman English? Come visit Whateley Academy, nestled in the lovely hills of New Hampshire. Just down the road from a town named Dunwich... (Mythos jokes purely intentional).

I've written a number of fan-fics in the Whateley Academy universe. The one below is the only one that fits within the ASSTR framework. The rest aren't even on the PG side of G - unless, of course, you don't like transgendered teenage mutant superheros, so they're not going to be posted here. Just Google on Whateley. Or read the story: there's a link to the Whateley server.

To Train A Ponygirl

Sted "Ponygirl" Lancaster is kidnapped as she leaves the movie theater in Berlin, by a group that trains ponygirls and sells them. They've got a way of suppressing mutant super-powers. Bummer.

Miscellaneous Stories

These are one and two part stories that don’t seem to deserve a separate section for each one. They range from the very early to quite recent.

A week as a Pony

Bill and Anna and Don and Alice organize a week-long BDSM outing for their BDSM club and others, including a chance to become a pony full time for a week. Events intervene. No sex. Originally posted somewhere around August, 2000. Except for the quotes I haven’t had to change a thing.

A Meditation on Turk’s "Morning Chores"

This is a bit of a meditation on a picture by a very good artist, named Morning Chores. It’s a scene in the barn as the ranch hands get the ponygirls ready for their day’s labors.

How I Left the Far Northland by Colon the Conqueror

This is a parody of a parody of a Conan story. It’s the true story of how Colon the Conqueror was driven out of the Far Northland by his half-brother, Semi-Colon. It’s also a fairy tale, it’s got ponygirls and the very first publication anywhere of the deep secret of how you use sex to harness a troll to a wagon. The humor is so bad it’s a health hazard. Enjoy. First written in November 2000, it’s just now escaped my hard disk after a death-match with the punctuation.

Cooking Emmy

Emmy is a Dolcett fan. The rest of the commune isn’t. She’s also got a one track mind. They’re about to rectify the situation.

This is the first time this has appeared anywhere! It (and its sequel, Bound in Chocolate) has been languishing on my hard disk since March 26, 2001.

Bound in Chocolate

This is sorta the sequel to Cooking Emmy. Emmy has cooked up a suitable retribution for Betty’s stunt in making her think she was going to be baked alive a few months earlier. The idea came from a thread on the SSBB (Soc.subculture.bondage-bdsm) newsgroup in late 2000 or early 2001.

Like the other story, this is the first time it’s appeared anywhere since I finished work on it in March of 2001.

Circe’s Island

Helen has been stepping out on Big Mo with two of his henchmen, Agamemnon and Hector. So Big Mo sends them on an all expenses vacation. To Hell.

You Treat me Like Furniture

This is a little vignette I did for a contest at Leviticus site a long time ago. It might be worth a chuckle. This story is one where the title came first. This is the first time it’s reappeared since that contest.

Ponygirl Minder

Jenny is hoping that her boyfriend, Jack Davis, will chose her as his wife during their High School graduation ceremony. He doesn’t, and she winds up at Reliable Ponygirl and Engine Trainers as a collared worker doing ponygirl training. Then the story picks up. Is this a romance? You tell me. Frankly, I think it might be the best story I’ve written to date.

Early stuff

This is many of my earlier stories. The reason I’ve parked them back here is, well, they’re earlier stories. I won’t claim that my current writing style would give Hemmingway or Shakespeare a case of envy, but these are even farther from that august mark.

Community

I ran across this neat story excerpt on Sir Jeff’s Ponygirl Web Site, so I went out and bought the stories. Then I went into an obsessive trance and wrote the first few of these. At the moment, there are fourteen stories in the series. This differs from the version on Sir Jeff’s site in that two stories have been combined, and one is withdrawn.

Some of the characters and settings originated in two stories (Adventures on the Hoof and Ponygirls, Inc.) by Sir Thomas; the settings and characters are used by permission. There is a short authorized excerpt from ’Ponygirls, Inc.’ on Sir Jeff’s web site. These two stories are copyright by The Academy Club, and should not be on any free web site.

The series premise is that of the organization that kidnaps young women, trains them to be ponygirls and then sells them. Over the course of the series, the situation changes to one where the organization serves the needs of young women who want to spend a large part of their lives as ponygirls, and of the various people that like to maintain a stable of ponygirls and race and show them.

Many of the stories are set around the Arizona Community (frequently just called the Community), which is a small town of around 4000 people living in caverns inside a mountain that has been built over the course of the late 19th century to the early 21st. It trains and sells around 600 ponygirls a year, as well as having several hundred ponygirls internally. It’s got several full sized ponygirl racetracks with associated exercise areas and so forth. Altogether, one of the wierder places in the known universe.

Some of the other stories take place at Fran’s Ponygirl Stable; the others mostly take place in one college setting or another.

Ponygirl Finds Her Place

This is the first story in the Community series. It introduces one of the main series characters: Alice. I originally wrote it in mid 2000 and then revised it in early 2001. I’ve just cleaned up the revision slightly, although I haven’t changed the plot or anything. (July 2004). If you’re interested in the way my style has changed in the interim, the original is here.

In this one, Alice is kidnapped to become a ponygirl. Little do they know...

Another minor revision May 15, 2009

Kinder and Gentler

This is the second story; it carries Alice’s career to where she gets her first training assignment, and discovers that her assigned trainee ponygirl is the answer to one of her needs. It introduces Pretty Lemon.

I’ve revised it a bit, the first version wandered between first and third person, and also shifted viewpoints unnecessarilly.

The Sorceress’ Apprentice

This is Pretty Lemon’s story; it introduces several major themes in the series. Pretty Lemon gets trapped into getting back into harness and running a race. It also introduces Black Thunderbolt. I’ve revised it a bit for this edition.

December 27, 2004 - some more editing

Raw Material (complete)
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4

This is Raindance’s story. Selma doesn’t like her family business. I mean, she really doesn’t like her family business, and since she’s unemployed, when she finds an advertisement from a ponygirl recruiter on the internet, she decides that becoming a ponygirl is the best availible alternative. Then they discover she’s prone to bad hair days.

This, and the next two stories, form an interconnected whole around the first International Gymkhana. Each takes one character through her story; they meet in the middle.

This is a major revision from the version on Sir Jeff’s site, with a lot of new material, and a bit of stylistic cleanup of the rest.

Ponygirl By Choice
Bambi

This is Dreammaker’s story. She’s a bondegette who’s into long term strict bondage and running. She signs Ponygirl’s indenture, and then they discover that she’s got one really intersting attribute.

The Politics of Ponygirls
Golden Spitfire

This is Fran’s story. She’s the daughter of a ponygirl fancier, and Dreammaker’s owner. Her establisment is raided, exposing the entire operation. She goes to the first International Ponygirl Gymkhana and is involved with all the changes that exposure bring. There are a few minor changes and some additional continuity from the version on Sir Jeff’s site.

Minor edits 1/13/2005

Ponygirls on Vacation (Complete)
Cloudburst
Thunder and Lightning
Black ThunderBolt
I Wound Up Where?

Four very short stories. Three of them are about how several of the ponygirls in the series handle their days off and vacations. There’s also one about a community trainee who winds up somewhere unexpected.

Bluebird Grows Up.

Bluebird was one of Leo’s two girlfriends that he had kidnapped and turned into ponygirls. She’s become a community member, and it isn’t working. She has to discover the only way she will ever be accepted by a community whose only purpose is to train girls to be ponygirls.

This continues the theme in the last story of a ponygirl who has to examine her committment to the lifestyle. It’s also the only story where one of Sir Thomas’ characters is the main viewpoint character.

Unregistered Ponygirls

Old Man McDivot dies, and his son discovers he’s got some things here and there among the hills that good people shouldn’t be thinking about. The theme has to do with the rehabilitation of ponygirls that have been abused.

It’s one of a number of miscellaneous stories in the setting that doesn’t have any real relationship to the others, except that it happened.

Driver

Mellisa Bates’s father has agreed to give her a ponygirl for a graduation present - if she learns to drive one well in competition and keeps her grades up. She’s assigned Amazon Princess from "Unregistered Ponygirls" as her first pony, and she has a lot to do with Golden Spitfire. This takes place mostly at Fran’s Ponygirl Stable.

Suzie’s Ponygirl

Suzie’s ponygirl is her college roommate, who she names Gold Streak. A lot of the college scenes are humerous. All right, low farce. The rest of it takes place at Fran’s. The race scene at the end brings a few continuing characters together.

Kidnapper

One of Raindance’s relatives gets into trouble, and Raindance sees an opportunity to expand the Community business. There are a lot of people that think the best ponygirls are the ones that were kidnapped; volunteers are just so insipid. This doesn’t have all that much ponygirl stuff in it.

Engineer

Larry goes off to school with his ponygirl, Linnet. Larry’s got an assignment, and they discover that Linnet can teleport. A bit later, Larry acquires a couple of wild ponygirls and starts training them. And what are the space aliens doing in this story?

This starts a couple of years before PonyGIRL?

PonyGIRL?

Timmy decides to become a ponygirl. His mother keeps pointing out the a ponygirl is a girl, and he isn’t. He eventually becomes Flower Coves.

This story has a definite TG theme. It starts a couple of years after Engineer, and is the last story (currently) before the segue into the Dodecahedron stories.

Segue to Freehold

A group of montages and storylets where the Arizona Community becomes the Dodecahedron, and Freehold is established.

The Dodecahedron

The Dodecahedron is a 12-sided planet located in Uranus’ leading Lagrangian point. It was built by Richard Seaton Larry and Linette. There are little references to it in several other stories, including Segue to Freehold, PonyGIRL and Gor Meets Amazonia. The biggest problem with these two stories, outside of the very amateurish style, is that they’re very Mary Sueish.

Eden

Crissy is kidnapped for a little torture and murder scenario, and then she finds herself on the Exchange part of the Dodecahedron waiting for her father to ransom her. Unfortunately, he’s just had to declare bankruptcy.

An earlier (and even less well-written) version is here. It was the second story I ever wrote.

Learning the Business

Crissie takes the Dodecahedron’s first starship, the Loaded Die, out on its maiden voyage.

Are there ever going to be more Dodecahedron stories? Well, those first two are really too Mary Sueish for me to want to do anything more with the Loaded Die. However, Ester’s home community is a possibility. If the muse strikes, why not?

Freehold

Freehold is an island somewhere. (Don’t ask where, or which island, OK?) It’s a culture that assigns rank according to social and individual responsibility. It doesn’t use money. It’s got a number of enclaves with different laws and customs. Oh, it also turns people with very low social or individual responsibility into ponies, and uses them as transportation.

A Slave Girl of Freehold

Sandra tries to bail out her sister, Amy, from being sentenced to becoming a ponygirl for whipping one of the municipal taxi ponygirls. There are a couple of chapters from Amy’s point of view as a ponygirl.

A Ponygirl of Freehold

She kills a cop in the course of an armed robbery. Then she flees to the only place on the planet that doesn’t have extradition. She didn’t expect to be turned into a ponygirl on arrival.

The Field Ecologist’s Ponygirl

Field Ecologists are stationed out in the wilds to keep an eye on things. They need support, and Freehold needs to do something with all those ponygirls.

Delivery Ponyboy

He got caught doing some industrial espionage. Freehold seems to have a one track mind with respect to punishments. Oh, right. They don’t punish people, they just put them somewhere consistent with their demonstrated personal or social responsiblility.

Carriage Team of Freehold

Freehold does not like assassins. Can’t understand why not...

Escaped Ponygirl

Running Flame learns a hard lesson about personal and social responsibility

Pyramid Scheme

Running Flame discovers a drug smuggling plot in the Old Egypt Enclave

Gor meets Amazonia

Running Flame gets assigned to the Gorean and Amazonian enclave.

And just who is Xaltatun of Acheron?

Xaltotun of Python (the capitol city of the evil empire of Acheron) is the name of one of the bad guys from Robert E. Howard’s only Conan the Barbarian novel, The Hour of the Dragon. As you can tell, I can’t spell, but that turns out to be good: Google distinguishes between Xaltatun and Xaltotun.
