Mathew is just a High School Sophomore, who thinks his life is too boring. When he hears that the Government is sending 30 kids to a new planet, Merkolova, to ease relationships, and to share technology with the Tragelians, Matt jumps at the chance! But his mom is a Religious Christian, and believes Merkolova is too sinful for her son! But Matt, Just like any teenager, is too rebellious to listen.

Why not!? Pleaded 15 year old Matt,
Because, I wont have my son hanging around on a planet full of sluts! You can catch an STD, or some other disease we dont know about! Said his mother
But I wont! Besides, their medical tech is far more advanced than ours! Why don't you ever let me have any fun!?"
"FUN!? Those sinful creatures accept INCEST! INCEST! If you go there, you WILL go to hell Matthew Alexander! Just like all those other creatures whom live there!" She yelled. "And they also bring small children into their lustful desires. Sick.." She added, and looked away from Matt, as she continued to clean the dishes, ignoring anything Matt said after that.
Matt's mother was a very religious person. Her moral compass told her that the Tragelians were sick and evil people. Many of the humans were actually repulsed by the planet of Merkolova, and some saying it was all some sort of government conspiracy, and all just a lie, for some unknown ploy. Matt however knew otherwise. A girl he knew actually confronted him about being a Tragelian Hybrid, before admitting she had a crush on him, and slept together. It was a few years back. Not too long after, maybe a week, she left for Merkolova. He would normally have forgotten her name by now, but he reminded himself that her name was Tatiana, and of her face on a daily basis. He obviously liked her too, but being mostly a shy guy, he couldnt ever admit it, until she did. But she had already made up her mind about leaving, not wanting to eventually be caught laying eggs here on Earth. It wasn't until a few months ago that the Tragelians revealed themselves to humanity, publicly.
Just recently though, different countries had decided to send people over to Merkolova, seeing that the environment was debatably safe, and that many issues were resolved. Though, the Tragelians said that only the young would be allowed to be sent, and only up to 30 from any country may come, all of which being no older than 18.
Matt didn't know how the other countries were picking their 30, but he knew that the USA was doing some sort of contest. Like a lottery. Send in a name, address, and parent signature, and it would all be clarified. Then, the names would be randomly drawn.
Matt had hope that he'd get to go. He had to. He didn't have too many friends that hed miss, and the only girl he ever had a serious relationship with, went to Merkolova. He wasn't very anti-social, he just didn't consider too many people as friends. Besides, he'd be able to talk to them, with Comms. But there was one big obstacle in his way.
His mom.
She was scared of Merkolova, scared of aliens, and scared that her only son wanted to leave to an alien world, light-years away. She never signed the paper. Instead, Matt forged her signature, and every day, Matt checked the mail before his mother could.
Today, the mail-man came by, and dropped a few envelops into the mail box. He ran outside, and looked at the mail, shuffling through the papers and such, finding bills, and advertisements. "No. Damn. Nothing.." He muttered, groaning in annoyance.
He was just about to go inside, when the mail-man came back,
"Oh, sorry kid, I think I forgot to give you this," He said, handing him 3 more envelops. "They must of gotten mixed up with the neighbor's mail. Lucky I noticed, eh?" He chuckled, and walked off.
"Thanks," Matt said happily, but not as hopeful, and walked back into the house, muttering something to no one in particular.
He put the papers down, but looked at the three envelops. All three were for him. "Hmm," He hummed curious. He looked at the first one. Just a letter from a university. He rolled his eyes, and tossed it aside. He wasnt going to college any time soon, so he wondered how these always got sent to him. Another thing to look forward to on Merkolova. No spam mail. I hope. He then looked at the second one. It was from someone called Trish. He opened the envelop, and saw a letter. He was just about to read it, when he heard his mom coming. He folded it back up, and put the letter, and last envelop in his pocket.
His mother looked at him as she came into the room, and walked over to his side. "Oh, I'm so sorry sweaty. Look, I know your mad at me, but you need to understand, I'm just doing what's best for you." She said, putting an arm around his brown-haired son.
"No.. Don't lie. You just want to snuff out any happiness I can have!"
Irritated, she said "Don't talk to me like that! You just want to go to some planet to have sex all day!" She began to shout! Her mood changed in just a split second by Matts words. He knew he could have avoided that, but he couldnt help himself. "That the kind of happiness you want!?"
"You don't understand what I mean!" He responded, angered that she'd think of him like that. Maybe he would end up having sex here and there. But no, he had other things in mind.
"Then why? WHY would you leave your mother here alone, while you go to a planet far away!?"
"Because my only girlfriend was one of them!" He blurted, "...is... is one of the reasons..." He said, and stood, going to his room.
He closed his door, and locked the door. He tossed himself onto the bed, and closed his eyes.
Matt pulled himself up, and grabbed the other envelope from his pocket. It was from the Government. More specifically, signed by the President. This got his attention real good. He opened it up, and swore he almost fainted. "Oh My Fucking God!" He shouted, and quickly covered his mouth!
He looked it over, and smiled. A smile that showed his excitement and glee!
"Now, how do I get there?" He asked himself silently, looking over the paper, as he saw instructions. "Alright," He told himself. He had to go to the airport. The paper even said which flight to take, and where to be at what time. He had a day before the plane left for DC. He felt so excited. He'd be exempt from school the following day, as long as he had the letter, and went directly to the airport! Perfect. From there, a Merkolovian ship would take the 30 students to Merkolova, 5 days from now. According to the letter, they would be staying at a hotel, until they left. "Hmmm,"
He heard a knocking on the door, "What is it ma'?" He asked, not really caring with his mind occupied on other things.
"Look, I just wanted to tell you I still love you.." She said, almost sounding regretful. But he knew better. He wasnt going to let her guilt him into staying.
"Love me enough to go to Merkolova?"
"No." She said plainly, and walked away from the door.
Guess I'm sneaking out tomorrow..

>>The Next Morning, Thursday 6:30 AM
Matt pulled himself from bed, looking for his clothes. His flight left at 12. He reached for his Comm, one of the technologies that the Tragelians were generous enough to share with humans. He saw the time, "Great." Lucky for Matt, his mom slept pretty hard. He had gotten everything ready the night before. He could pretty much walk to the airport, but he'd have a lot of time to kill. He went to his laptop, and looked for a file. A letter he'd been writing for his mom the last few weeks, since he forged her signature. It was a goodbye letter. He'd been tweaking it for the last few days, and decided it was time. He printed it out, and smiled. He grabbed his pants from yesterday, and then grabbed a bag, which had all his clothes. He slid his laptop and charger into his luggage, and he then left the house, looking back one more time, and smiled. "Guess this is goodbye for now.." He had already e-mailed, and messaged all his friends the news.. He was leaving. He began walking, and saw one of his friend running up to him. Logan.
"Mat! Come on dude, you can't leave now," He said, stopping in front of him,
"No, I need to. I just know I gotta go," He gave a sigh.
"Are you sure about this? Like, really sure?"
"Yeah," Matt answered,
"Well, just want you to know, that we had a great time. Don't forget to send me a message every now and then." He never was able to put things into great words of wisdom. But Matt appreciated it either way.
"Who knows, maybe I can get a couple alien friends to come spice up our lives, eh Logan?" Matt joked, still walking towards the airport.
"Heh, well, good luck out there, in the void and all. Don't forget about little 'ol me," He smirked, and gave Matt a hug.
"Hey, I'm moving to an alien world... Not dieing," He said and laughed,
Logan joined in the laughter, and smiled, shaking his head, "No, you're not dying.. If you were dieing, at least I could go to a corpse, and see you every day," He said, "Out there, I'll only see... Messages.." He muttered.
"Ill send a few video messages too, and hey, maybe we can do a few video chats, He offered, looking at his Comm once more. My flight leaves at noon. I really cant have a long, heart-to-heart conversation dude, but hey, if I ever come back, lets you, me and the others party or something."
Logan grinned, and gave a thumbs up, Right! Have fun on your adventure Matt! Drinks are on me, when you get back!... If were not old enough, Ill be sure to have a fake ID by then!
With that, Matt shook his head as he laughed off the implications,
As one could tell, Matt wasn't exactly sad on Earth. It was just the idea of an Adventure that enthralled him! Some new, distant world. And to top it off, he'd get to see actual alien species, and such!
But there was sacrifice. He'd be away from Earth for a long time. Home. They say he could come back when he wanted. If he wanted.
If...
Would I really want to come back? It sounds so.. Amazing.
He continued to walk to the airport, with a smile, and slight tears building along the edges of his eyes.

>> Airplane Heading to DC, 2:10 PM
Matt yawned, rubbing his eyes and making sure he was alright. He had waited for the plane after getting to the airport, for about an hour, and fell asleep once on. He always fell asleep when he was on a plane, at church, and on long rides. And School.
The pilot, or whoever, was saying something on the speaker, about getting ready to land in a few. Matt looked at his Comm, and saw he had missed 9 calls. From his mother. He ignored all of them, and read a typed message she left for him. It read "Please come back Matthew. I'll get you whatever you want, just don't leave me.."
No, Matt had to do this. Whether it was the Faiths commanding him to go, or his own selfishness. If he didn't go now, he wouldn't have another chance.
Matt laid back, and relaxed, digging his hands into his pocket, as he felt the plane was a bit chilly. He found something. A piece of paper in his pocket. Curiously, he pulled the paper from his pocket, and saw it was the letter he got this morning. Signed by Trish. He looked over the letter, not really reading, but making sure it wasn't advertisement. No, it was actually sent by a real person. Someone I know? So he started from the beginning.
As he did, his eyes became wide, and he smiled. As it turned out, Trish, was really Tatiana! As he continued to read the letter, he found that her dad was actually one of the Tragelian coordinators of the whole lottery thing. He spotted Matt's names, and decided to pick it out, knowing it would excite her. As he continued to read, he realized he'd be staying with her, for some time. Then numerous dirty thoughts poured into his mind, and he realized that he was having an erection. He shifted his legs, and crossed one over the other, like he always did. Especially when he had gotten hard.
Matt didn't often consider himself lucky, but at that moment, he would call himself the luckiest in the country. The best part was that at the bottom of the letter, she even gave her Comm!
"I swear I got hit by a car on my way here, and went to heaven.." He said to himself, and laughed, not so much at the joke, but at how his luck seemed to be rising. He put in "Trish's" number into his Comm, and smiled. He finished reading the letter, and realized why she signed it Trish. Apparently, the Tragelians allowed the hybrids to choose new names. "Ah, well, I kinda liked the name Tatiana," He mumbled, and read the remainder of the letter. He folded it up, and tucked it into his pocket, smiling.
It wasnt too long before he looked out the window, and saw we were lowering altitude. Matt smiled, and couldnt contain his excitement! He took a deep breath, and exhaled, as he calmed himself. He looked around the plane, and saw the same faces as before. Just typical business-like men and women, who probably were heading to DC for politics, or something like that. Matt shrugged, and just leaned his head on the window, watching the buildings below pass.
It was only a few more minutes, and Matt was out of the plane, and in the airport, looking for his things. He grabbed his luggage, and looked for his ride. He eventually found the ride waiting for him. They were a couple of, what looked like, Secret Service agents. They greeted him, one with a flat, monotone voice, and the other one in a sort of casual, laid back tone, or atleast, as laid back as a Secret Service agent could get. They didnt bother exchanging names, and simply took him in a black car to, what he thought was going to be his hotel.
The White House, huh? He thought, realizing the change of plans. Never seen it in real life. Looks pretty nice. The agent opened the door for him, and he followed him. Wait, Arent I supposed to wait 4 days? Matt asked, Shouldnt I be at a hotel or something?
The old Monotone agent looked at Matt, and said Situations change. We were going to wait 4 days, yes, but only because we assumed it would take time for people to get here. We overestimated the time it would take the candidates to arrive. The last of the.. Winners... will arive in the next 10 minutes.
Oh.. I said plainly, and looked at the others who were standing right outside the White House.
Some of them were socializing, and some, like Matthew, didnt want anything to do with the others. Though, one girl seemed to be very talkative! She approached Matt at one point, and said Hey, whats your name? Im Jessica. She had long black hair, with blond highlights. She didnt have much make-up, other than her lip-stick.
Erm, Hi Jessica.. He said. Im Matt,
Where are you from? She asked, Im from Topeka Kansas,
... Id rather not say,
Well thats not very nice, She said, getting in Matts face. I told you where I LIVE, Sharing is Caring.
She sounds like a 6 Year old. Shes probably 12. He thought, and sighed in frustration. Im from Texas. Thats all youre getting,
Fine, She pouted, and walked away, frustrated with Matt.
After a few minutes, he noticed 2 more kids, 14, and 6. He looked around, and counted. 30. All here. Guess leaving now is better than waiting 4 days. Too bad, kinda wanted to start my adventure by getting to know DC. He held onto his bag, and saw someone coming towards the crowd of kids. Now, for the first time, he noticed that there were Secret Service Agents surrounding the kids, at a reasonable distance, that made them seem less dangerous, but still close enough to act if anything happened. Probably not for anything serious. Just to be careful. The man who was approaching was surrounded by 3 other Agents.
Hello Kids, and Welcome to Washington DC. I understand many of you have never been to this place before. So Im sorry if this seems like a short visit. But you are all here, and none of us feel it necessary to wait.
Matt knew that the government wanted to just get it over with, and send us off. It was the best way to learn about a culture. Send some of your own in, to learn, and come back to tell them what they know. Matt grinned, knowing that Earth knew very little of Merkolova. But Merkolova knew just about everything about Earth. That scared the US. It scared humanity as a whole really. And it was a reasonable fear.
Now, I am Agent Sands. I am the US Representative of the International Security Federation. Or ISF. So, They arent Secret Service. He thought. Like my history teacher said. When humans are faced with a new breed, theyll come together. In fear.
Before the.. Tragelians get here, I would like to inform you that while a new world may seem... Adventurous, There are still many dangers that I doubt the Tragelians would bother to inform us about. He paused, and looked at the kids, hiding a grin, But Im sure most of you want more than just a typical vacation, eh? He laughed, and coughed a bit. Sounded like he was probably a smoker. But, let me make this clear. Youre there to learn, and youre there as a US Citizen.
Translation, Youre coming back, and youre telling us everything you know, Thought Matt.
Yes, to learn indeed, Said another person, A Woman, who seemed to appear beside Agent Sands. Good day kids, The woman said. Well, you will all be teleported to the craft, in one minute. I would like to note that ones first Teleportation is always very distorting. So please try to keep your lunch in your stomach, and off the ships floor. We respect our maintenance crew very much, and prefer to keep them happy, and NOT have them clean up a first timers inner waste.
Yes, thank you, Malena. Matt figured she was a Tragelian, by the tone Agent Sands gave her. She seemed a bit familiar. Something about her.
Oh, and one more thing. If someone passes out, dont worry about it. It also tends to happen.
A light began to appear around them. Not just a white light. A light of many different colors. Like a rainbow. Matt looked towards the woman speaking. She apparently was coming with them.
It wasnt to long after that, that Matt started to feel... Light Headed...
The next thing he knew, he was out.
Knocked out, and sleeping peacefully...
I hope you enjoyed the read. I know there wasn't any sex in this one, but who knows.. Maybe the next one will? Haha..
