On Sunday, Mary cuddled in Alex´s arm on the breakfast cushions.
“Will, can we look at the sketches you´ve been doing?”
“You mean the ones of us? In this book.”
“Uh-huh. Thanks.”
Mary began paging through the book. Alex stopped her.
“Slow down. I want to see these better.” As they went more slowly through the pages, Alex became visibly aroused.
“Better give the rest of us a look, too,” said Anne, as she picked crumbs off Saul´s thigh. “Alex is having too much fun altogether.”
Mary slipped out the pages they had looked at, passed them to Anne. “Alex is easy to see, but they´re turning me on, too. Will, these are wild... Look Tom, Saul.” She held a page between her breasts. “I can remember when this happened, but I can´t tell from the picture who it is. I know I was on the bottom, and this was Tom, but you can´t tell from this.”
“What I see is great erotic drawing” Saul said. “Not dirty pictures – erotic drawings.” He began to laugh uncontrollably.
Anne waited until he had calmed down. “Why are you laughing? I think these are wonderful, and by the time I´m through with them, I´m going to want to screw every one of you.”
“You´re going to have to get in line,” muttered Mary.
“It´s just... Look, my dad collects drawings, you know. Well, among the things he collects are erotic drawings, Japanese, Indian, some European. I was just thinking about showing him some of these. They are perfect. And he´d never know that was me, there, doing that to you.” He laughed again.

“Or even what,” Alex said. “Every one of you has made assumptions about what, say, these two are doing. But you can´t see that they are doing it, you´re guessing. The feeling is there, not the details.”
“Well, wait until you see this batch,” Mary said. “These are different. A lot more explicit.” She handed another batch of drawings on around the group.
“With these, I had something else in mind,” Will said.
“You´re telling me,” mumbled Anne as she leafed quickly through the sheets, then began looking carefully at each one.
“I´ve tried to show in explicit detail, without being like a medical drawing, the beauty of the sexual parts of the body. In use.”
“Saul, what do you think of these?” Alex asked.

“Sure, can´t hurt, and it won´t take too long. What´s to lose?”
Saul looked around the group. “Anyone have any problem with my showing these anonymous drawings to people off campus?”
Tom said, “Anonymous drawings, and not on campus. Okay with me.”
Will said, “For my own sake, I´d like a model release from each of you for each of the drawings I give to Saul. Especially you two women. That´s going to protect us all. Is that agreeable?”
“Okay by me,” said Anne.
“Me, too,” Mary said. “I agree we need to be careful about this. Be sure about the legal side. But otherwise, I don´t care who you show them to; you can´t tell it´s me. But I probably wouldn´t care if you could. They are beautiful pictures and they make me beautiful, too.”
“Thanks,” said Will. “Of course, I don´t think there is anything more beautiful than the act of love. Having beautiful bodies to draw just makes it better.”

They got to work about ten. Friday had covered History, Saturday morning, they had done some Economics. Today´s plan was to finish Economics and spend the afternoon and evening on Humanities.
They studied until just enough time remained to get lunch at the Union. No one was moving on the second floor. After lunch, Anne started the review of humanities. By late afternoon, they were woozy. Anne called a break. They drank some beer and cuddled until time for supper.

“But it´s exhausting. After a weekend, I´m ready for four days off.”
“Bullshit. You´re pooped from screwing all weekend.”

“Yeah, you´re right, but it sure is worth it any way you look at it... So, why are you down today?”
“Guess it´s just the weather or something... No, look. My folks are spending a fortune to send me here, and I don´t know where I´m going with all this. I haven´t got the faintest idea what I´m doing here.”
“I wouldn´t worry about that too much. Know what my dad says? ‘You don´t go to college to learn how to do things. You go to college to learn how to learn.´ Think about it. He says no one who goes to college, except maybe pre-meds and engineers, knows where they´re going. He didn´t – I don´t.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, and neither does any of us. We´re all playing it day by day. Lighten up.”
“Thanks. I think you´re right. I feel better already.”
