I understand that in some instances I may be asked to logout by staff of Globex Corporation.  I also understand that failure to do so can result in my account being temporarily or permanently banned and that I run the risk of death by being forcibly logged out.

I understand that should the equipment owned by Globex Corporation be damaged by me or another I allow into VR room I have booked I’ll be held accountable.  Should any of the equipment become damaged as my result I agree to pay the full repair or maintenance cost to repair it to working order or I’ll spend time in jail in the real world to compensate.

I understand that should I for any reason unplug another player from Eden which results in the players death I will be charged with murder.  I understand that if I enter an area in the Globex Corporation building that I do not have clearance for I will be prosecuted with trespassing and agree to spend a duration in jail decided by a judge.

Creating an Account and Account Security

To create a user account to play Eden players must first provide identification such as a bank card or drivers license.  After the players identity has been confirmed an attendant will begin the account creation process.  Then they’ll take a list of personal details as well as setup the billing process of the players choice and the account type.

After personal details have been filled in a retno scan will be taken of the players eye, their finger prints will be recorded and a blood sample will be drawn.  To access an account players need all 3 making it impossible for anyone to steal your account.  Finally the player will be required to sign the terms of service contract and be presented with a copy of this handbook.

Account Billing

There are 4 types of billing for an account.  Day by Day, Basic, Casual and Hardcore, the billing can be changed at any time to a higher or lower type to suit your needs.  Canceled accounts are currently kept indefinitely so even if you stop playing for a year you can come back and play your old characters.

Day by Day: The day by day package is a unique package where players can purchase actual days of play.  This package is designed to be even more basic than basic where players may have entire weeks of time where their unable to play.  Through this package players can get the most out of their money.

It works by buying any amount of days the player wishes, from then on hours logged in are subtracted from the available amount of days.  For instance a player buys 1 day which is 24 hours, the player can play for a total of 24 hours before requiring to purchase an additional day.  Days bought do not expire, players can use 2 hours one month then the other 22 next month if they wish.  Players can also purchase additional days before their current amount expires.  On this package nutrient injections are charged 1 US per injection and as standard their given every 6 hours or whenever you eat in game if set in the options menu.

Basic: The basic package allows 10 hours per week of play.  This package is designed for people who just want to go in the game and muck around from time to time or for people who have very little time to play.  On this package nutrient injections are charged 1 US per injection and as standard their given every 6 hours or whenever you eat in game if set in the options menu.

Casual: The casual package allows 25 hours per week of play.  This package is designed for the casual player.  On this package up to 10 nutrient injections are given free of charge, additional nutrient injections are charged 1 US per injection and as standard their given every 6 hours or whenever you eat in game if set in the options menu.

Hardcore: The hardcore package has unlimited hours per week and month.  This package is designed for players who want to be constantly in the game world.  On this package up to 25 nutrient injections are given free of charge, additional nutrient injections are charged 1 US per injection and as standard their given every 6 hours or whenever you eat in game if set in the options menu.

Cost:
Day by Day: 2 US per day, Additional 1 US per nutrient injection
Basic: 5 US a month, Additional 1 US per nutrient injection
Casual: 10 US a month, Allows 10 nutrient injections before charge
Hardcore: 15 US a month, Allows 25 nutrient injections before charge

Guest Accounts

Guest accounts are currently available at all times.

A guest account is exactly like a normal account except for 7 days it’s completely free with no charge even for nutrient injections.  Unlike other games the 7 days trial is counted on actual play time rather than when the account was activated.  This means a player can play for a single day then a month later decide to play the other 6 days worth on their guest account.

A player cannot hold both a guest account and a standard account.  A player can also only have 1 guest account ever.  Also if a player has their guest account banned they will no longer be able to create a standard account to play with Eden.  A player’s guest account should be considered a normal account except that they have 7 days worth of free playtime.

Guest accounts are created in exactly the same way as normal accounts except that the billing will not commence until the 7 days worth are expired.  Players can also setup their account so after the 7 days are expired they have to manually activate the billing.  If a player reaches their 7 day limit in Eden and billing is not set to auto-charge they’ll automatically be teleported to town and asked to log out regardless of what their currently doing.  The player will remain locked in place unable to move until they log out.  If a player refuses to log out they run the risk of having their account banned.  If billing is set to auto-charge however after the 7 day limit is exceeded the player will be notified that their account has been charged and can continue to play.

Role-playing Server

For players that want a more hardcore medieval style experience there’s a role-playing server that follows a few strict guidelines.  A player’s characters can be transferred between the standard and role-playing server with no fee or adverse affects.

Languages are heavily in place on the role-playing server.  Most players will speak one language or another although English is still the main language.  All NPCs speak their native language and have the option of displaying subtitles for the character when they speak.  All player characters can speak whichever language they feel comfortable with, subtitles is not an option for player characters though.

Below is a list of the rules of the role-playing server.  Breaking any of the rules makes the player subject to ban, fine or warning.

  • Characters are only allowed to use proper names, this is in place on standard servers but even harsher punishments are given on the role-playing server.
  • No chat of out of game events in town areas.
  • No picking out players and harassing them because of how they role-play.  Players however are allowed to give friendly advice on how to role-play.

Getting started

To access Eden players must first book a VR (Virtual Reality) room at the front desk, booking costs are included in all forms of payment.  The attendant will give the player a room number as well as the access code to enter the room (Note: Room codes are automatically changed after a player finishes with the room to prevent tampering).  Inside will be the number of chairs appropriate to the group size the room was booked for with a maximum of 8.  On and around the chairs are all the necessary connections to login and maintain the player while their logged in.

Since some players tend to stay in game for extended periods of time an annual injection full of vitamins and minerals essential to the body is automatically given every 6 hours.  This nutrient injection is free on all billing packages except the basic and day by day plan.  In the options you can change whether your bodies hunger is tied to your character in game.  So if you eat something in game your body receives an injection to satisfy it’s hunger.  If the options are set to this nutrient injections are automatically given every 24 hours in large doses to avoid the player dying.

Once logged in the player will be transported to the character selection and creation room which also houses account options.  In the center is a circular platform where the current character is being made with a hologram display of all the various options changeable for the character next to it.  The options can be changed via hand gesture or voice command.  Around the room are 50 circular platforms where characters stand after being created, players can also add, change or remove the nameplate to the bottom of each platform to distinguish the characters from one another easier.  To log into a particular character the player need only stand on the platform the character they wish to use is standing on and say login.

Character Limit and Deletion

The character limit for all players is 50 characters for the total amount of servers.  As for removing characters that the player no longer wants they simply need stand on the platform and say “Delete character” and confirm it.  After a character has been confirmed for deletion it will remain for 7 days upon which time it’s deleted.  Until the 7 days have expired and the character is removed players can still cancel the deletion.  During the 7 days players cannot login to the character queued for deletion.

Note: All items on or owned by the character will be deleted.  This includes character specific storage but not shared warehouse storage that’s accessible to all characters.

Play Timer

The Play Timer is basically an alarm clock that can have multiple named alarms set for multiple times in the real world or Eden for multiple reasons.  When the appointed time comes the player will be notified which timer has expired and any description it has been given.  The notification however will only be heard by the player who set the alarm.  Using the play timer players can avoid missing important arrangements to meet friends in game or in the real world.

The play timer can be accessed from the character selection screen or by saying “Play Timer Options” while in game.  By default the play timer is inactive however it does track the current and global time logged into Eden which can be seen on the main VR machine screen, the character selection screen or in game by saying “List Current Play Time” or “List Global Play Time”.

Because the play timer is accessed after logging in all alarms are saved on the players account.  Allowing players to setup global alarms that will activate daily or alarms that are months ahead of the current time.

Creation Options

If a player decides to create a new character they’ll be able to adjust the many options on the hologram display.  Below is a list of the available options.

  • Name (Appears only on selection platform)
  • Race
  • Nationality (Human only)
  • Gender
  • Voice Pitch
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Age
  • Face (with a variety of 1,000 slider options)
  • Skintone
  • Eye color
  • Hair color
  • Hairstyle (100 slider options or choose from 1000 hairstyles)
  • Breast size (Female only)
  • Penis size (Male only)
  • Body hair
  • Scars
  • Taste Buds (Determines like and dislike on foods)
  • Sensitivity (Generally refers to sexual stimulation)

Players can also customize the characters body with a range of 10,000 sliders adjusting things such as hip size, thigh size, wrist size ect.  Further information on character creation appearance is discussed a few paragraphs down in Physical Appearance.

Naming

Aside from the nameplate on the character platforms the name added in the character creation has no actually value.  This is because unlike normal RPGs there is no inventory or character panel that directly refers to the characters name.  Instead the player merely uses a name in game that they have players call them by.  Only proper names are allowed in game, names like NecroDude or HyperGirl are not allowed, if a player is caught calling themselves a non proper name and it’s not just a simple nickname they will be given a warning.  Further violations will get the player a temporary ban.

Players may call themselves any proper name but to help the naming process a button on the character creation panel opens a list of 30,000 names that are sorted by race/nationality and gender.  To help those that are unable to find a suitable name players can setup a line of filters and then use the randomize option to find a name.  For instance a general randomization filter would look something like this: female, human, Asian.  Such a filter would display all human female names for Asians.

Character Attributes

By default all aspects of a new character body is set to the standard value, in numbers its 1.0.  These aspects are

  • Physical Endurance
  • Physical Speed
  • Physical Strength
  • Magical Endurance
  • Magicka Supply

As a character is played the body builds up these attributes from usage making the character stronger than when it was first created.  Of course none of these attributes can surpass realistic limits, there comes a point when you can no longer get more fit or more powerful.  These attributes can also slowly decline, if a character is constantly overeating and not doing much their physical endurance will decline as it would in real life.  These attributes have a numerical display that can be viewed in the character selection area.

Advanced players that have already played a character for a long time can opt to copy these attributes from a current character to a different character including a newly created one.  This allows advanced players to create new characters or switch between existing ones without suffering problems of their endurance or strength lacking.  Without copying these attributes to a newly created character players will find themselves unable to cast the high level spells they know with a new character or have the endurance to last fights against tougher opponents.

Physical Appearance

When it comes to character creation not everyone is an artist and creating one can be very time consuming, to help the process players can enable the visualize option.  Doing so scans the players thought pattern to create a character based on the image in their mind.  For this to be successful the player must visualize the look of their character for 10 seconds.  Once the character has been scanned from the players thoughts you can further customize it to their liking with the options or they can fine tune it through the visualize option by using the visualize option to go by each body part.

For players that are artists however or demand perfection from their characters there’s a hand sculpture mode.  The sculpture mode brings the character display closer to the player and allows them to manipulate the characters look directly by hand.  Doing so they can sculpt and mold the characters body to get things exactly how they want them rather than playing around with hundreds of sliders.

For those players that want to get things perfect but don’t have the time to do so in a single afternoon or day they can save the current character settings as a template.  Players can have up to 100 character templates, unlike actual characters, templates are merely a selectable group of saved options.  After saving a template players can reopen it again later and continue work then save again at their leisure.  Players can also extract the template of their current characters allowing them to remake their character with pin point accuracy should something happen to their characters appearance or status that’s irreversible and undesirable.

Finally if none of the normal character creation ways work players can select randomize which will generate a character of the same race and gender as the current options.

It’s important to note that by default no two characters can have the exact same facial structure meaning a dozen people can’t make the same celebrity in game.  However if both parties agree to allow a duplicate of the facial structure to be made they can take it up with a world keeper to have the character created.  Also most options have racial locks which keep things within preset limits.  For instance players cannot make an aqua colored elf, or an orc that’s as small as a dwarf.

Logging out

Players can log out anywhere in the world of Eden simply by saying “Logout” and confirming it.  Players cannot log out while in combat or while being pursued by NPCs or creatures.  Players must wait for 15 seconds after ending combat before they can logout.  Players also cannot log out for 30 minutes after receiving a critical injury.

Warning: Players will login again in the exact same location they logged out.  It’s ill advised to logout in dungeons or near creature dens, doing so could get the player killed.

If a player logs in and something is in the position their arriving in the player will be logged in a few steps away so they will not become stuck in anything.  Also if the player logs out in a instanced dungeon they will be transported to the entrance of the dungeon.

Races

The default races that players can choose from are Human, Dwarf, Orc, Elf, Dark Elf and Succubus/Incubus.  By playing a character and finishing specific quests or finding specific items players can unlock a few additional races to choose from.

The human race has a sub option called Nationality where players can choose what nationality features they possess.  For instance players can make Asians, African American, German ect.

Each race has its own customization locks and racial abilities.  Below is a full list of default races, unless specified everything should be assumed to be of a normal human.

Human (Selectable Nationality)

  • Overall standard on everything.

Dark Elf

  • Aqua colored skin.
  • Long pointed ears about 6 inches long.
  • Dark Elven eyesight which allows clear detailed vision on objects miles away as well as crystal clear sight in pitch black areas.
  • Lithe bodies which causes high mobility, high flexibility and makes their bodies more fragile.
  • Shadowmeld, allows the user to blend into darkness like a chameleon.

Dwarf

  • Looks completely human except their ½ human size making them mistakable for children a lot of times at a distance.
  • Short stature causes low strength, low jumping and higher mobility.
  • Slightly Resistant to cold (Includes weather and magical attacks that are cold based).

Elf

  • Long pointed ears about 6 inches long.
  • Elven eyesight which allows clear detailed vision on objects miles away.
  • Lithe bodies which causes high mobility, high flexibility and makes their bodies more fragile.

Orc

  • Greenish colored skin, slightly pointed ears.
  • Slightly harder skin making them slightly more resistant to weapons and moderately resistant to hand to hand attacks.
  • High strength, equal to twice a humans which causes larger muscles on both male and female and slightly lower mobility.
  • By default approximately 2 feet taller than all races, actual height dependant on height setting.

Succubus/Incubus

  • Immune to almost all diseases.
  • Two forms of Succubus Lust (feeds off sexual energy or pain) or normal (feeds off fresh meat).  (Note: eating style only applicable if eating is enabled in options).
  • Bat like wings which give the ability to fly and a long tail with an arrowhead tip capable of being used like a 3rd hand.
  • High strength 100 times higher than a normal human which has no adverse effects such as low mobility or large muscles.
  • Rapid regeneration, allows skin and lost limbs to regenerate rapidly.
  • Large breasts on females and large penis on male.

For beginning players it’s advised to choose the race Succubus/Incubus.  This is due to their high strength and fast regeneration which makes them easier to play than other races and ideal for learning.  Also players can tick on the option Display Tutorial, when they enter the game a flat translucent dialogue prompt will appear in front of them and move with their character.  It’ll help guide players on acquiring newbie quests and how to start out.

Unlockable Races

Below is a full listing of the unlockable races.  Although races are unlockable their specifically designed to be extremely hard to unlock.

Balrog

Note: Balrog’s are a male only race.

Balrog’s are by far the largest playable race.  Due to this most players opt to use magic to turn into human form either to disguise themselves or to make their mobility easier in tight areas such as towns.

  • Large horns on head with a bull like face.
  • Skin color can vary from normal to green.

Catman/woman

  • Furry body with feline style face and fur pattern.
  • Tail (Note: Tail is not usable as a 3rd limb as with succubi).

Fairy/Pixie

Although Fairy/Pixie is listed as a playable race it is near impossible to play in Eden seriously as one.  It is possible to play as a magic caster but killing anything larger than Fairy/Pixie will wear the player out quickly.  Overall the Fairy/Pixie race is for looks and possibly scouting.

Although the Fairy/Pixie race isn’t meant for serious play there are number of dungeons and caves designed and only accessible by Fairy/Pixie characters.

  • Everything locked at 1/10th of human capabilities
  • 1/10th Human Size, due to small stature highly mobile.
  • Slightly pointed ears.
  • Butterfly like wings which give the ability to fly.

Honey Bee (Worker/Warrior Class)

Note: Honey Bees are a female only race.

  • Yellow skin with Black patterns.
  • A set of antennae on the head.

  • Stores and secretes honey from breasts, also secretes honey from vagina when aroused.

Lizardman/woman

  • Lizard style face with scaly green skin.
  • Tail (Note: Tail is not usable as a 3rd limb as with succubi).
  • Slightly higher strength than humans.
  • Males have significantly higher strength than humans with large muscles.

Shade

Note: The Shade race is a super unique race that’s limited to a handful of players.

Misuse of the Shade’s shape shifting ability will have the shade race permanently removed from the players options menu even if they redo everything to unlock it.  Misuse includes impersonating players to scam, harm, annoy or similar things.  Impersonating non lawful NPCs is not considered misuse unless it’s to do the above to players.  As well as having the race permanently removed players are also subject to punishment for the crimes they’ve committed.

  • Black mist body with a set of glowing eyes
  • High strength 100 times higher than a normal human regardless of form.
  • Immune to physical and almost all magical attacks in mist form.
  • Ability to read people’s memories and absorb their knowledge.
  • Ability to shape shift to any living or non living object to the smallest detail.
  • Can heal wounds instantly regardless of how major by shifting that section of their body to mist.
  • Can avoid being harmed in a physical form by shifting any section of their body to mist briefly.
  • Can only be killed in a physical form or by a handful of elite magic spells in mist form.

Skeleton (Selectable Race)

Players are able to select any unlocked non undead race and then all skeleton affects are applied.  For instance the player can be a skeleton fairy.

  • Does not need air, therefore can stay under water permanently
  • Healing magic is less effective than normal and takes more energy to heal.
  • Weak against holy magic.
  • Immune to Poison and Sleep effects/magic.

Play Guide for New Players

This section is intended for new players, it gives advice and tips on learning to play the game and how to start off.

Upon finishing the character creation you’ll be dropped in a set city based on your race wearing the standard starter gear.

Players who entered Eden as a group but chose different character races need not worry as the starter gear includes a free gatekeeper travel sessions ticket allowing them to meet up with their friends in other cities to play together.

The standard starter gear includes the following:

  • Racial based weapon capable of using no grade soulshot and spiritshot.
  • Basic clothing with basic under garments.
  • Small gold pouch containing a ticket for 50 free training sessions in either magic or melee.  As well as a ticket for 5 free travel sessions with any gatekeeper.
  • Small satchel containing 5 minor healing potions, bandages, an area map that shows players current location and a scroll with detailed instructions on how to cast 3 beginner class spells that don’t require knowledge in focusing and channeling magic.

To begin it’s recommended to visit the local training hall and start using your free training sessions ticket.  If you don’t feel like training it’s recommended to at least visit the training hall and ask the local trainer for tips on combat and what to expect in the local area for hostile creatures.  For new magic users it’s highly recommended to visit the training hall and speak with the magic trainer for a detailed explanation on spell casting.  This is because to cast any spell except the 3 beginner spells you require knowledge in focusing and channeling magic.  This is discussed in detail in this handbook in a later section entitled Combat.

Completing a Starter Quest

Whether you’ve trained with, talked or decided to ignore the trainers all together the next stop will be to pick up a basic newbie quest designed to familiarize people with basic combat and allow them to earn a small profit.  Regardless of the city you’re in head over to the local guard house and speak to the person who handles new characters.  They’ll give you a quest to kill a type of creature that’s dependant on your location and bring back items from their remains.  They’ll also activate a quest marker on your area map that shows the location you need to travel to and give you a bag to carry the items in.

The creatures for these specific newbie quests are designed to have very low AI so they’ll be slow moving and easy to kill.  Providing you don’t adventure too far in any direction you’re not told to you shouldn’t come into contact with more intelligent and dangerous creatures.

Start the quest by heading over to the area marked on your map.  When you get there lay down the bag you were given so it doesn’t hinder you’re fighting.  Then start by attacking one of the creatures in melee range with your weapon or using your magic at a distance.  Once it’s dead head over to the body and cut off the item you need and put it in the bag you were provided.

Creatures such as the ones in this quest won’t give you any useful items however if you’re doing a profession or just want to make extra money consult the professions section or the local armor makers on how to go about cutting the fur off the dead animals so their usable for item creation.  The creatures for the starter quest have very low quality furs though so the price the furs fetch won’t be a lot.

Remember to rest whenever you start to feel fatigued and try to only use the healing potions you started with if you get badly injured.  Wasting them on minor injuries and cuts will severely dampen your budget on the start.  Also wounds can be healed at churches for free regardless of how little or how big they are so if possible wait until you return to town.  Continue killing the creatures until you’ve filled the quest quota.

When the quest quota is reached and the bag is full head back to town, use your map if you’re unsure of the direction.  Return to the guard house and speak to the guard about the quest.  They’ll promptly check the bag to ensure you’ve reached the quota, if you haven’t they’ll ask you to go kill some more.  However if you have you’ll receive your reward which consists of the following.

  • 500 Ethian
  • 1 bottle of no grade (depending on whether you say you’re a magic user or a melee user) soulshot or spiritshot
  • 5 minor healing potions

The guard should also ask you if you need to be shown how to fill your weapon with the soulshot/spiritshot and depending on your answer they’ll either show you or won’t.

List of Changeable Options

Below is a full listing of the in game options and what their function is.  The options menu can be accessed at the character selection screen or while playing a character by saying “open options menu”.  All options are character specific.

Enable/Disable Character Aging:  Turns character specific aging on or off allowing the players character to age or remain the same while played.

Warning: Once a character has aged the player will have to recreate the character to have them young again.

Enable/Disable Item Glows:  Turns on or off the glow of a currently worn item.  The option itself consists of submenu system that lists armor and weapon pieces so one item can be enabled while another is disabled.

Enable/Disable Nutrient Injections on Eating:  Turns on or off whether nutrient injections are administered every 6 hours or whenever the player eats in game.  Automatically syncs the player characters hunger to their body.

Enable/Disable Player Map Location:  Turns on or off your location on maps for when you view them.

Enable/Disable Quest Objective Location:  Turns on or off your quest objective location on maps for when you view them.

Enable/Disable Standby Character Aging:  Turns character specific aging on or off allowing the players character to age or remain the same while in standby mode (currently not being played).

Warning: Once a character has aged the player will have to recreate the character to have them young again.

Enable/Disable Subtitles:  Turns on or off subtitles for NPC’s.  Only really applicable to role-playing server where NPCs speak racial languages.

Note: Other players will not see the subtitles that are displayed unless they also have the subtitles option enabled.

Set Aging Rate:  Players can set the rate at which their character will age for each specific race and character.  Setting character aging will not make the characters age unless the aging options are enabled.

Racial Languages

Racial languages do exist however they are not in heavy use on the standard server.  On the standard server most players speak English and do not bother with racial languages.  On the role-playing server racial languages are used by all NPCs with the option of subtitles, as well as players who subtitles are not available for.

There’s several ways to learn languages, the first is by listening and learning.  The other is by taking classes in Eden or learning from language starter books.  Overall there are 4 core languages.  Orcish however is a language that is not that often used as most orcish tribes speak English.  The main 4 languages are below in order of most used to least used.

English
Elvish
Demonic
Orcish

Various creatures will also speak their own native languages that they use to formulate plans, attacks and discuss things.

About NPCs

NPCs are any non player humanoid character.  NPCs in Eden are like real people, they have personalities, thoughts, feelings, memories, they can be happy, sad, angry and they can cry.  As they go through their daily lives they form relationships, create new memories, acquire new items and travel.  To survive they must eat and sleep, if they go too long without food they’ll die of starvation.  NPCs can also die in any other form the player can for instance they can get sick and die.

NPCs will age and can even get pregnant, some even fall in love and start families.  If for some reason they die another NPC will spawn to take their place but the NPC that died will never ever return.  Upon spawning an NPC will be given random equipment from lists based on their type, race and fighting style.  NPCs that have their gear stolen will attempt to acquire new gear somehow.

All lawful NPCs are protected by the crime system and offences against them will be punished as if they were players.  Non Lawful NPCs such as the ones in dungeons and caves are not protected by the crime system, they can be stolen from, be assaulted, raped and murdered.  Most non lawful NPCs will attack the player on sight for various reasons.

All NPCs can be befriended (including non lawful hostile NPCs that reside in dungeons and caves) as if they were players, you can party with them and play with them as regular players if you and they desire.

About Creatures

Creatures in Eden act just like they do in the real world.  They have personalities, thoughts, feelings, memories, they can be happy, sad and angry.  As they go through their daily lives they form relationships, create new memories and travel.  To survive they must eat and sleep, if they go too long without food they’ll die of starvation.  Creatures can also die in any other form the player can for instance they can get sick and die.

Like NPCs creatures can age and become pregnant.  Creatures will seek out mates, create families and raise their young.  A lot of times however players will kill creatures so these things will not happen, for these things to happen the creatures must be left alone to live their lives.  If for some reason creatures die another will spawn to take its place providing the threshold of creature type has not been reached in the area.

Most creatures can be befriended like in real life, they can become pets and if trained they can become companions in combat.  If a player befriends a creature and makes it a pet they can contact a world keeper and opt to have its aging disabled and even put on sleep mode while the player is inactive in the game world.

Libraries

Libraries in Eden not only contain books but they have volumes and volumes of information on every aspect of the world.  Players are able browse a library quickly with magic panels that have lists of every book in the library as well as what their about.

Through the help of the library players can look up dungeons, locations and information about creatures to determine what kind of equipment or items they may yield from looting them.  This allows newbie and veteran players to research areas before venturing into them to avoid going up against dangerous NPCs or creatures that they may not be skilled enough to handle.

Combat

All combat in game relies upon the players own fighting skills.  There are no buttons; there are no combos or anything that makes your character automatically attack in anyway.  Melee fighting, archery and magic all rely on player skill and to play in the game one must master these skills.  The most basic way to learn to fight is by fighting but for beginners it’s probably best to take training lessons in Eden or in the real world.

Although there are no combo buttons or anything there are in fact skills or spells used with melee and archery that players can learn from other players or NPCs.  Some such skills are armor break where the weapon is hardened and the force of the player is increased with magic in an attempt to smash through the targets armor.  Another skill is multishot where archers use telekinesis to hold up to 5 to 30 extra arrows on their bow string before they fire, thus shooting a much larger amount of arrows than normally possible.  Both of these skills require magic to use and as such require knowledge in channeling and focusing magic which is discussed in the next paragraph.

Out of the 3 skills magic is by far the hardest to use.  This is because unlike the other 2 it requires skill that can only be acquired in Eden.  To use magic players need to be able to focus and channel magic, while this may seem unfair or annoying it’s actually important as it gives full control to the player when it comes to damage, duration and strength of their spells.  Magic channeling can be taught to players by other players or from NPCs skilled in magic.

Some may ask then why are the 3 starter spells castable even without such knowledge?  The answer is these 3 spells were specially created with set damage, duration and effect.  The spells will automatically drain the appropriate amount of magicka to cast the spell.  These spells were specifically designed to allow players to get a small taste of magic before investing a lot of time and effort into learning how to channel magic.

Overall most players take several weeks before they feel comfortable playing in the beginning areas, other areas take players months some even years before they feel comfortable playing in them especially alone.

Although there is no definitive way to make combat easier there are a few techniques that are used commonly in combat that are listed below.

Ambushes

One of the most basic combat tactics is to setup ambushes.  This can be done by preparing an area that’s a short distance from the intended target by laying traps, whether their physical or magical.  Or if you’re with a party you can have your party members hide in the area as well as preparing traps if you so wish.  Once the traps or party members are hidden enemies are baited into walking into the trap.  Using party members to ambush the targets is highly effective especially against human targets as they find it extremely difficult to defend themselves when enemies spring from all corners.

Kiting

Kiting is the act of attacking a creature, running, attacking the creature and running in an endless cycle until the creature is dead.  Kiting is one of the most used combat techniques by archers and a lot of times even mages.  For kiting to be effective though the player needs to be incredibly fast otherwise the creature will easily catch up to them and they won’t have a chance to attack.  Kiting intelligent creatures however is most of the time quite ineffective as they’ll use the terrain for cover and most of the time won’t even attempt to catch the player if they know the player is too fast for them.

Training

Training is not training in an actual sense it’s the act of making a train of monsters.  Most monsters will follow the player if they attack them or if they come within a region they consider their own.  On creatures that don’t have superior intellect such as rats, snakes, spiders ect it’s easy to train them and get them in a tight group.

Training works by aggravating a group of or groups of creatures and luring them to a group of players, preferably mages to be killed.  Training is only really useful against creatures with low intelligence and for resource gathering.  For instance training spiders to kill them and harvest their silk for sale or for creating clothing.  Training intelligent creatures doesn’t work very well as they’ll spread out and attempt to flank the players in an attempt to kill them.  Overall training can be extremely dangerous and it should only be done by veteran players that have incredibly fast run speed.

Quests

Quests are a massive element of RPG games, in Eden this is slightly different but still the case.  In Eden certain quests are always available to players to complete until their done such as the newbie starter quests.  Certain repeatable quests are always available to players too.  However the majority of quests are situational based, time based ect.  For instance a store owner may require silk to create a line of clothing, the store owner will hire people until the quota they require is filled.

In the same sense this also means other players can make up quests for people, many blacksmiths or tailors prefer to spend their time creating items rather than adventuring around looking for the materials they require.  To do this they ask players who stop by or advertise that their in need of certain materials, other players can then go collect these materials and return them to earn some money.

Maps

Maps of all areas can be either found or bought and must be carried around to be used.  All maps by default automatically locate the player holding the map and show the direction their facing, this can be toggled on or off in the options menu.

A full list of all in game maps as well as the maps themselves is at the back of this handbook.

Note: Areas are subject to change, for the latest map version refer to maps in game.

Day and Night Cycle

Eden’s day and night cycle is similar to the real worlds but the duration is different.  In this fashion players always logging in at the same time aren’t left stuck with night or day every time they play.  The actual day and night cycle is 32 hours with about 16 hours daylight and 16 hours moonlight.

World Respawning

A large amount of things in Eden are set to respawn to keep the world populated and interesting, however some things are based on time.

Buildings and Structures

When town buildings are damaged they are repaired by NPCs or by players.  Dungeons, caves and other out of town areas that become heavily damaged will be set to respawn.

Creatures

Most creatures are set to respawn every 6 hours, if an area is in heavy use the respawn delay will be scaled according to the amount of players in the region fighting.  Respawn speed is low to allow players to rest and recuperate after fighting and to avoid caves or dungeons respawning while the players are inside.  Large caves and dungeons that can take over 6 hours to clear have their respawn time scaled to avoid creatures reappearing on earlier sections.

Minerals and Ore

Most mineral and ore deposits have a respawn time of 24 hours.  Mineral and ore deposits hidden within rock in mines however will not respawn.

Plant Life

All plants and their food will regrow over time unless they become heavily scarce in which case they’ll be set to respawn.  When large sections of plants or trees are destroyed they will be set to respawn after several days to avoid the world from becoming a wasteland.

Caves and Dungeons

Large caves and dungeons that take hours to clear have their respawn time set to allow excess time for players to rest, clear the dungeon and leave without running into respawned creatures.

Caves and dungeons that take over an hour to clear and don’t contain NPCs have the option to be instanced.  Meaning a group of players can enter an instance of the cave or dungeon instead of waiting for it to respawn.  Any player that dies or any items that are dropped will be transported to the actual in game dungeon when the instance closes 1 hour after the final player leaves the instance.

To open an instance of a cave or dungeon the player or players must go to the cave or dungeon itself.  There they will find a panel on the entrance that they can access to create an instance for their party.

Death

As stated many many times already death is permanent if you die in Eden you die in reality.  People who die will most likely remain where they died for extended periods of time.  If someone dies close to town they’ll most likely be brought to the town cemetery and buried along with their current gear with a tombstone engraved with their real name.  Any unique items will remain in the grave for 1 week, if they are unclaimed after this time they will be removed and reintroduced into the loot tables.

Dead creatures and NPCs bodies disappear after a set period of time which is automatically scaled by the usage of the area, on average though the bodies will last for 24 hours.

The Reaper

There is a reaper in Eden and it’s the reaper’s job to collect player’s bodies that have remained in the wilderness for too long and bring them to town for burial, the time varies dependant on area usage but on average it’s 1 week.

The reaper is also capable of deciding who lives and who dies, the reaper will never be the result of a player’s death however.  If a player is about to die the reaper may appear and save the player.  At all other times the reaper is invisible and cannot be seen without the reaper wishing it or using a magic item that allows one to see otherworldly beings.

The reaper cannot be killed in any way and it can kill anything with a single strike of its scythe.  The reaper can also kill anything without even blinking or moving and in any way the reaper sees fit.  For instance the reaper can make an NPC suddenly die of a heart attack.  Angering the reaper is deemed suicidal and an extremely bad idea.

Wounds

Wounds obtained through battle can be healed in various ways.  The most common of which is healing potions.  Healing potions are made from various herbs with a drop of demon blood.  When a healing potion is poured over a wound it will be absorbed into the skin and will speed the healing of the surrounding skin.  Heavy wounds will need multiple applications over extended periods of time for the wound to heal fully.  Healing potions can also be drunk, it’s less effective than pouring it directly over a wound but it’s also painless.  It’s also more useful to drink the healing potion when there’s multiple cuts all over the body.

Another way to heal is through the use of healing magic.  Healing magic can only be used by virgin priests paladins.  It is however much more effective than healing potions and unlike healing potions it can heal serious wounds in very little time.

Restoring Magicka

Magicka can be restored in a variety of ways, the most common of which is simply resting.  If a player allows themselves to relax and rest their magicka will slowly start to recharge.

However there’s times where it’s just not practical to sit around and wait.  For times like that there’s Magicka potions.  Made from a variety of herbs and soul essence magicka potions restore a player’s magicka to its full capacity.  Magicka potions are not an instant fix though, immediately after drinking it the player will receive a boost to their magicka equal to about 15% of their maximum magicka.  The rest of the player’s magicka will be slowly restored by the potion over a duration of about 15 minutes.

Drinking multiple magicka potions one after another can increase magicka faster but it’s ill advised as it can cause deterioration in the player’s health.  Also drinking magicka potions regularly can cause the player to feel water logged from ingesting too much liquid.

Magicka can also be restored by other players such as priests, paladins or high class mages.  This works by the player transferring their own magicka to another player.  This is especially useful if players have both a priest and a mage in the party and their mage has run low on magicka with lots of enemies around.

One final way to restore magicka is to use a magicka well.  Magicka wells are essentially objects that hold heavy supplies of magicka.  A magicka well can be something physical like a necklace or it can be inside the player.  Since the amount of magicka grows to an incredible amount over time it’s best made inside the player, if it’s on an item the item will constantly need to be reinforced with heavy magic enchants.  The magicka well acts like a bag, magicka can be put inside or taken out whenever the player wants.

Unfortunately the use of magicka wells is a high class mage skill so even if the player acquires an item with a magicka well chances are they won’t be able to use it unless their very literate in high level magic.  If a player is capable of using a magicka well though they should opt to fill it with magicka whenever they have an abundant supply and have no need for it.

Warning: Using too much magicka in a short span of time can cause health to deteriorate and in extreme cases death.

Scars

While playing it’s common to accumulate a variety of scars which can become over abundant or unsightly.  Special elixirs available at alchemy vendors or churches can permanently remove scars acquired in battle.  To apply these elixirs they simply need to be rubbed over the affected area and given a few minutes to absorb into the skin.

Aging

Aging is available in game but is off by default as it cannot be reversed.  Players who wish to have their characters age over time can set it in the options menu, the aging option can also be set so characters age while unplayed.  Characters can only age up to a certain point before the aging is disabled automatically and locked, players and characters cannot die of old age.

Poison

Poisons are extremely deadly and are quite common from creatures such as spiders and snakes.  If you’re going to be adventuring in an area with poisonous creatures it’s highly advised to have a surplus of antidotes or travel with a virgin priest or paladin that’s capable of removing poisons.

Disease and Sickness

Diseases are rather serious in Eden some are dangerous enough to kill.  Lesser diseases can be cured with a simple potion.  The more potent and dangerous ones however need the service of a skilled virgin priest or paladin.  Sickness is also a very serious thing; sickness can be obtained in any way just as real life, being coughed on or catching the flu.  Dressing inappropriately in weather conditions can also get you sick.  As with disease if you become sick a lesser cure potion can help for most things but for the deadly sicknesses a virgin priest or paladin is required.

Vampirism

Vampirism is one of the many contractible diseases in Eden, it’s important to note there is no cure.  To contract it the player must be first drained of blood by a vampire and offered to drink the blood of a vampire.  A few moments later the player will begin their change to a vampire.

Note: When the feeding option is enabled for vampire players they will be required to feed on blood and not on regular food and water.

Below is a listing of abilities to show clearly which ones vampires possess and do not possess.

Abilities or features they don’t possess:

  • Mind Control, this is only accomplished through magic so it is not an ability.
  • Water does not harm them.
  • Sunlight does not turn them to stone, it merely burns their skin, and prolonged exposure can kill.
  • Vampires hate garlic due to its strong smell and their heightened senses.
  • Flying, vampires cannot fly without some form of aid like any human.
  • Coffins, vampires do not need coffins to sleep although some prefer it since there’s no chance of sunlight seeping in and harming them.
  • Silver does not harm them, silver harms werewolves NOT vampires.
  • Stakes, a stake through the heart does nothing it will not kill them providing their heart can regenerate itself to continue pumping blood around their body.
  • Vampires do not age over any period of time.
  • Crucifixes and churches, they do absolutely nothing to a vampire and a vampire has no problem with going near them.
  • Holy water, again it does absolutely nothing to a vampire.

Abilities or features they do possess:

  • Have a set of sharp fangs to puncture flesh in order to feed.
  • Their about 10 to 20 times stronger than an average human.
  • Have incredible night sight allowing them to see at night as if it were day.
  • Heal very rapidly.
  • Vampires cry tears of blood.
  • Sunlight burns them but will not turn them to stone.
  • Vampires will never age.
  • They can feed off animals and cloned blood as well as humans.
  • Turning other people into vampires otherwise known as the embrace.
  • And any clan abilities.

Lycanthropy

Lycanthropy is the disease of werewolves.  It can be contracted on very rare occasions from rapid wolves but most commonly it’s contracted from other werewolves.  Any bite or scratch by something carrying Lycanthropy is enough to infect the person and there is no cure.  Werewolves do not look like huge beasts they look more like anthromorphic animals.  Werewolves cannot speak in werewolf form or change at will to werewolf form without a lot of practice.

The most noticeable effects of the disease are:

  • Excellent hearing, smell and eyesight.
  • Rapid Healing.
  • A dramatic increase in strength, usually 10 to 20 folds.
  • A painful burning like reaction to silver when it touches the skin.
  • The ability to change into a werewolf.
  • And a major reaction from dogs and wolves.  Those that are strangers to the werewolf may take up growling and barking while those familiar will be more than willing to share their company with the werewolf.
  • And any clan abilities.

Priests

Priests are something not every player can be.  This is because to be a full fledged priest the player’s character must remain a virgin.  By being a virgin they have the purity and holy energy to cast beneficial magic such as healing, cure disease, cure sickness ect.  If at anytime they have intercourse their power will disappear.  For male priests it’s when they have vaginal intercourse with a female, for female priests it’s when they lose their vaginal virginity.

Becoming a priest is not a lengthy task but it does take a little time.  Players must visit a local church and undertake tasks to becoming a priest.  After performing enough duties successfully and mastering enough spells the head priest will call a ceremony for the player to become a priest.  At the ceremony they will blessed by the Holy Father and will be required to swear an oath.  As the ceremony completes they’ll be awarded an enchanted cross necklace to ward off disease and be bestowed with the title priest.

After the ceremony female priests will be directed to a back room where their chastised by having their labia sewn together to protect their virginity.  No anesthetic is used when chastising a priest so they understand the commitment they are making.

It is possible for players to cast holy spells if their character has not been granted the title of a priest or paladin.  However their character must be a virgin and any spells that are cast are about 50% less effective than they would be if the character had received a holy blessing through a ceremony.

Note: All non human races such as succubus, zombie ect with the exception of skeleton are capable of being priests.  A female succubus may lack a hymen but providing she’s a virgin she’s capable of being a priest.

Paladins

Paladins are holy warriors of god, like priests they excel in healing and beneficial magic.  Unlike priests they use melee weapons usually with a shield, wear heavy armor and participate in close combat.  The bulk of a paladins holy magic is used as magical attacks or to imbue weapons to help fight undead or demons.  Although paladins can use healing magic it’s usually reserved for themselves or their party members after a fight has ended.

Paladins are something not every player can be.  This is because to be a full fledged paladin the player’s character must remain a virgin.  By being a virgin they have the purity and holy energy to cast beneficial magic such as healing, cure disease, cure sickness ect.  If at anytime they have intercourse their power will disappear.  For male paladins it’s when they have vaginal intercourse with a female, for female paladins it’s when they lose their vaginal virginity.

Becoming a paladin is not a lengthy task but it does take a little time.  Players must visit a local church and undertake tasks to becoming a paladin, these tasks however are more combat oriented than a priests.  After performing enough duties successfully and mastering enough spells the head priest will call a ceremony for the player to become a paladin.  At the ceremony they will blessed by the Holy Father and will be required to swear an oath.  As the ceremony completes they’ll be awarded an enchanted cross necklace to ward off disease and be bestowed with the title paladin.

After the ceremony female paladins will be directed to a back room where their chastised by having their labia sewn together to protect their virginity.  No anesthetic is used when chastising a paladin so they understand the commitment they are making.

It is possible for players to cast holy spells if their character has not been granted the title of a priest or paladin.  However their character must be a virgin and any spells that are cast are about 50% less effective than they would be if the character had received a holy blessing through a ceremony.

Note: All non human races such as succubus, zombie ect with the exception of skeleton are capable of being paladin.  A female succubus may lack a hymen but providing she’s a virgin she’s capable of being a paladin.

Pregnancy

Pregnancy is entirely possible for creatures and NPCs.  However when it comes to player’s female characters cannot become pregnant from NPCs for morale and technical reasons.  Male characters however can impregnate female NPCs.

Dragons

It is possible for female characters to get pregnant from intercourse with a dragon.  Because of limitations when pregnant in this fashion up to the 3rd month the player can continue playing the character as per normal.  Once passing the 3rd month the player will find it impossible to leave town with the character.  Instantly after becoming pregnant the character will be put on standby where the pregnancy continues even if logged out.

The player can book the character into a special location where they may observe their character during the pregnancy, or log into their character.  After 9 months the dragon will be born and can be raised as a pet or sold to another player.  Do note that the chances of mating with a dragon rather than being killed are extremely unlikely and it should NOT be considered a viable method to obtain a dragon.

Other Creatures

There are also a few relating issues that aren’t directly pregnancy.  For instance some spiders, snakes, lizards, grubs and a few other creatures like laying their eggs in creatures or females wombs as they feel it’s safer.  If this happens the player can go to a church or similar place to have the creatures removed, some creatures however are impossible to remove all together.

Regardless if their going to be removed or can’t be removed as with dragon pregnancy the character will be put on standby where the pregnancy continues even if logged out.  Due to the difference in creature leaving town will be disabled automatically whenever the characters belly reaches the stage of a 3 months pregnant woman.  The player can keep the creatures when their born which is probably a bad idea for most.  They can also kill them or give/sell them to another player if they so wish.

Weather and Climate Effects

While playing players should expect all weather conditions they would normally encounter in life this includes temperature differences.  Dressing inappropriately in cold weather runs the risk of the player getting sick.  To counteract cold without hindering the players fighting ability they can look into getting their gear enchanted to provide a warmth enchant.  Alternatively if players are skilled in magic they can use their fire magic to heat the air around them to keep themselves warm.

Rain can have a serious effect on fighting, for a melee fighter it can cause them to slip and lose their footing and if they’re not careful it could cost them their life.  When it comes to rain and magic attacks if everything is wet it’ll make electrical attacks much more powerful but fire attacks are severely dampened especially when it’s still raining.

Temperature is important when using cold attacks, their significantly less effective in very hot regions such as near volcanoes or lava but their twice as effective in a cold environment.  Likewise fire magic is more potent in hot regions and highly ineffective in colder regions.

Food, Liquids and Sleep

Food and beds are available in many places like in reality.  Creatures can also be killed and cooked to make food.  Everything has its own distinct taste; some things may taste even better than in reality while others will taste worse.

Food is not essential at any point and is only really somewhat of a requirement if the player has the food simulation option on where their character will feel hungry when their body in reality does.  Eating anything when this option is on will cause nutrient injections proportionate to the amount they ate or drank to be given to the player’s real body with a limitation on maximum per eating session to avoid adverse effects.

Eating and drinking will cause the player’s character to have to urinate or have bowel movements after the appropriate amount of time has passed.  It is also possible to become drunk from too much alcohol or get your character fat from overeating.

Sleep is essential in Eden as much as in the real world, this is due to your sleep fatigue being loosely tied to your body.  Staying in Eden for 2 solid weeks would have horrible effects on your body since your mind would be in a constant state of use with no rest.  Most players log out when they begin to feel tired, more hardcore players rent a room at an inn or sleep under the stars to recharge themselves.

Sleeping in Eden is almost exactly like sleeping in reality the only difference is your senses are tuned to things in Eden rather than reality.  For instance if a loud noise happens in the inn you’ll wake up if you’re a light sleeper.  However if a loud noise happened in the VR room your body is in you’d remain asleep.  Sleeping in Eden puts your real body in a state of sleep allowing it to relax and recharge the necessary energy it needs.  After your normal time of sleeping you’ll awaken in Eden and you can continue to play or log out.

Eating as a Succubus/Incubus

Eating for a succubus/incubus is different than normal humans.  The regular succubi need to feed on fresh meat, it can be cooked but the fresher it is the better its taste.

For lust succubi they must either be near or participate in sexual activities to feed off the sexual energy.  They can also feed off pain energy and some prefer it but for pain energy the target must be close and in extreme pain.  Most creatures give off a stale pain energy that doesn’t taste all too pleasing but humanoids give off much better pain energy that can be quite delicious.

Traveling

In Eden there are several ways to travel the most common of which is walking.  When players need to cover large distances though it’s best to speak to a person in town called a Gatekeeper.

Gatekeepers

Gatekeepers are high class mages that can transport players and their party for a fee dependant on the distance to regions nearby or to other cities.  Other players may also offer Gatekeeper services at lower prices than the Gatekeepers so players should keep an eye open for options if their planning to travel far.

It’s not common, but if players find a player who instead of transporting them to a region as requested intentionally puts them in a hostile situation intended to get them killed they should summon a world keeper immediately.  They’ll remove the monsters in the local area, transport the players to the correct location, refund their fee and deal with the hostile player by giving them a permanent ban.

Town Portal Scrolls

Town portal scrolls or scrolls of escape as some people call them can be purchased from local magical shops, later when a player is in the field and wishes to return to town they need only read the inscription on the scroll.  The scroll will disappear and a temporary portal leading to the nearest town will open allowing the player and their party to head back to town.

Some magic shops sell town portal scrolls that rather than make a temporary portal to the nearest town instead makes a temporary portal to a specific town.  These scrolls function in the same manner as normal town portal scrolls but are generally a lot more expensive.

Warning: Anything can pass through the portal while it’s active including creatures.  If players are being pursued by creatures they should prepare to defend themselves once their through to town.

Telekinesis

Telekinesis magic is also a rather popular form of travel.  Skilled mages can use their telekinesis magic to lift their own bodies into the air and fly distances.  It can be quite taxing to use telekinesis in this fashion and it requires nonstop concentration.  Since the player will be flying if they lose concentration or can no longer maintain the telekinesis they will fall which could result in death or heavy injury so it’s recommended that only skilled mages use this form of travel.

Flying

A lot of races have the ability to fly, so rather than paying a gatekeeper or wasting magicka on telekinesis the player can simply spread their wings and fly.  Flying can be difficult to learn as it requires learning how to use the extra limbs of the playable race however it’s highly cost effective and extremely useful even in caves and dungeons to access otherwise hard to reach areas.

Horses

Horses are a fantastic way to travel however they can be tedious as they do not disappear with the player when they log out.  Instead they remain in the location they were and do as a normal horse would, roam around the area grazing and maybe even try to find their way back to town.

However if players don’t mind trekking back to town horses can be very useful.  They can even be used to carry the spoils players have found during their journey.

Horses can be bought in any reasonably sized city for a couple thousand Ethian depending on the breed and the traits of the horse.  Most cities will also have a stable or two where players can leave their horse to be look after for a small fee even when their logged out of Eden.

Dragons

Another form of travel is dragons, dragons are quite rare but if you get your hands on a dragon egg and manage to raise it into an adult that trusts and loves you you’ll be able to ride on it to other regions.  Raising a dragon is a lot of work though and can take a long long time.

Money

Money in Eden is called Ethian and is one of the most important resources, without it a player won’t get very far.  There are dozens of ways to gain money such as selling items you find, offering a service for other players or running a business.  Most things such as food, beds and travel are rather cheap in nature.  Things like armor, weapons and houses though are incredibly expensive and to buy them the players will have to save carefully.

Below is a list of the types of currency used in Eden and how much their worth.

  • Very Small Copper Coin         -           1 Ethian
  • Small Copper Coin                  -           5 Ethian
  • Large Copper Coin                 -           10 Ethian
  • Small Silver Coin                    -           50 Ethian
  • Large Silver Coin                    -           100 Ethian
  • Small Gold Coin                     -           500 Ethian
  • Large Gold Coin                     -           1,000 Ethian
  • Large Gold coin featuring      -           10,000 Ethian Heroes from all races

Carrying Spoils of War

During a players time in Eden they’ll come across a lot of objects or items they may want to take along to keep or to sell.  Although backpacks and pouches work for smaller items their next to useless when it comes to anything large.  It’s cumbersome and hard for a player to lug around 200 pounds worth of objects that’s larger than themselves.  To aid in this there are several options available to players to help make things easier.

Shrinking Items

The most common method of carrying a large assortment of items is shrinking items.  Shrinking non living objects is done by using mid level magic that stays on an item for a duration.  Coupled with standard backpacks or pouches it makes for an excellent way to carry a large amount of items without being dragged down by their weight or their size.  Players should take care to use a long enough duration when casting shrink spells otherwise the items could enlarge during battle or at some other time causing great problems as well as destroying whatever they were contained in.

Enchanted Bags

Enchanted bags are more or less bags that have been heavily enchanted with magic to create a plain of existence inside the bag.  The plain is usually between the size of a barrel and a small room but overall the size depends upon how heavily the bag has been enchanted.  Enchanted bags are not cheap though and ones with large sizes are quite rare making them rather expensive.

Unlike shrinking items enchanted bags don’t cause the player to wear themselves out by casting shrinking magic constantly and there’s no chance that the items will resize causing a mess and destroying the bag.  The downside though is nothing larger than the bag mouth can be stored as there’s no way to get it into the bag.  Also if bags become damaged their plain of existence can become unstable and if large holes are made especially on the bottom it can cause their contents to spill out.

Mounts

Mounts are probably one of the most obvious choices to transport items but they are rarely used due to players usually having to leave them outside of dungeons and caves.  If a player does use a mount though they can load up their spoils and use the mount to carry it for them.

Selling Goods or Items

Selling items is always a good way to make money whether you found the armor or made it.  You can sell items to other players or even NPCs.  NPCs will likely give you a low price that’s hardly even worth it but other players especially people who practice professions will likely buy it for a tidy sum.  The easiest people to sell items to are players who practice a profession and have a shop set up, most of these players will general buy goods that they need to make items.  Or buy already made items, repair them and sell them for a higher price.

It’s always been an issue with games that the companies don’t like people selling things for real money.  With Eden we actually encourage it, people who enjoy making items can make a living by staying in the game and creating and selling items.  It works by both parties agreeing on a reasonable price of real money, once they’ve agreed they open a secure bank transfer prompt and transfer the money.  After both parties check their accounts to ensure the transaction has gone through the buyer can happily leave with the item.

If you feel you’ve been scammed or cheated contact a world keeper and they’ll overlook the issue depending on the fault of the transaction you may or may not be entitled to a full refund, the offending party may or may not also be liable to a ban.  If you witness someone trying to scam another person contact a world keeper and they’ll overlook the issue, scamming other people in Eden is a permanent bannable offence.

Professions and Item Creation

There are many many professions in Eden just as in the real world.  Unlike other games in Eden the player must personally learn these skills.  You cannot open a menu and click a create item button to make something, you must have the materials and the knowledge on how to make an item.  Professions should not be attempted by people who are mere casual gamers, a profession like smithing can take players years to master.

If serious about a profession there are several ways to learn, the best is to find another player in Eden and become an apprentice of them and learn from them.  The second most common way is to learn by doing or learn by books.  Whichever method you pick it’ll be a long path to take but once mastering a profession players can create high end items that are sought after.

Enchanting

There are many types of enchantments that can be put on items to increase their capabilities; some types of enchantments even add a glow effect to the item.  All items however have an invisible enchant limit that’s based upon the materials the item is made out of and how durable the item itself is.  Ethereal items cannot be enchanted as heavily as regular weapons due to their ethereal nature.

If an item is enchanted with too many enchantments or too high an enchantment there’s a high chance it’ll break.  When an item breaks it completely shatters and any enchantments that were on it dissipate.

If the item doesn’t break however it becomes over enchanted.  Over enchanted items have stronger enchanted effects than what they were enchanted with as well as a glow effect (for items that already have a glow it grows in strength).  Every time an over enchanted item is enchanted again it has a higher and higher chance of breaking the next time it’s enchanted and every time it’s successfully done it grows in power and the glow grows in strength.

If players do not wish to have a glow on an item they can set it to disabled in their options menu and it will not only show disabled for them but all other players and creatures.

Armor/Clothing Recoloring

Almost all clothing and armor can be recolored to avoid looking like a clown when wearing various pieces together.  To have something recolored the player must visit an NPC or player with the knowledge of armor and clothing recoloring.  Most tailors will offer recoloring services and the same goes for armor smiths offering armor recoloring.

The fee for having an item recolored will be dependent on the person who does it and how difficult it is to recolor that particular type of armor/clothing.  Depending on the type of armor/clothing it could take less than an hour or several days.  Recoloring an item constantly will cause the item to rapidly degrade in overall quality as the dying process and the dye itself wears the item out.

Armor/Clothing Resizing/Gender Changing

While in Eden players find a lot of armor and clothing the problem is 90% of it is the wrong size or for the wrong gender.  To have it resized or have the gender changed players must visit skilled NPCs or players with the knowledge of adjusting armor and clothing.  For a fee most skilled smiths are able to remold armor to adjust size or gender.  Likewise for a fee most skilled tailors can adjust size or gender on clothing.  Take note though that a very small sized item for say a dwarf may cost a lot more than normal to have it resized to be wearable by an elf.  It is also not always possible by all smiths and tailors so it may be necessary to shop around.

Be warned though having armor or clothing refitted in this fashion can in some cases ruin the item all together.  It’s especially risky to refit an enchanted item especially if the item must be made smaller.  The player or NPC providing the service will no doubt warn the player of such a risk before agreeing to the service.

Unique, Cursed and Item sets should NOT be taken to an NPC or player to be refitted.  Instead players should call upon a world keeper and take advantage of the free exchange service to avoid ruining the item.  All item enhancements will be transferred to the new version.

Item Sockets

During their adventures players will find a variety of jewels, gems and runes that may possess magical powers or can possess magical powers if their treated with magic.  Players can take these gems and runes to experienced smiths who can bond them onto the items for a fee.  Doing so will infuse the item with the powers the gem or rune possessed which will stack with any other abilities the item possesses.

Although socketing items is a lot less risky than enchanting, socketing items that are already heavily enchanted can in some instances cause the item to break as the magical power becomes too much.  Best of all most if not all gems or runes can be removed again by a skilled smith for a fee and put into another item.

Weapons and Armor

Weapons and armor are an essential part of playing in Eden without them it’s impossible to get far.  Melee characters use completely different equipment to archers and mages and it’s important to use the right type for full effectiveness.  Below is a listing of the types of weapons and armor available in game.  Armor and weapons can be of several different types at once for instance a leather chest piece can be part of a cursed unique item set.

It’s important to know there is no direct way to tell if an item is anything other than magic or normal unless the player is skilled in identify magic or knows of the item.  However skilled crafters or people who specialize in lore will be able to identify the item for a small fee or for free.  Most of these people will put a small harmless enchant on the item that has no chance of breaking the item called Identify.  When an item is enchanted with identify the player need only place their hand over the item and the item will make the player sense its abilities and it’s name.

Weapon and Armor Grades

In Eden weapons and armor are made from a wide variety of materials.  Some are stronger than others and some are extremely rare.  Normally it would be hard to tell what the best type of weapon or armor is without proper knowledge in lore.  However to make things easier people use a grade system, with this system weapons and armors are ranked from No grade to S+ grade with No grade being the worst and S+ grade being the best.  However it should be noted that S+ grade is for world keepers only and cannot be found during travels in Eden.  Below is the grade list.

  • No Grade
  • D Grade
  • C Grade
  • B Grade
  • A Grade
  • S Grade
  • S+ Grade (World Keepers Only)

The rank is an overall effectiveness of the item composed of many different things.  From durability to flexibility to blade sharpness to craftsmanship.  Generally though equipment made from a material will always have the same grade unless of course the craftsmanship is very poor in which case the grade may be lower, or with excellent craftsmanship higher.

Item Sets

There are item sets in game; item sets are identifiable by having the same basic pattern or style in their crafting.  When worn together item sets give special properties for each piece worn.  Most item sets can be created by skilled players but the bulk of them is found from humanoid creatures in caves and dungeons.  The bulk of item sets are normal sets but quite are few are unique or cursed sets.

Since items are hard to find there is an exchange system in place where people can trade in the current item for another of the same type but right for their gender and size.  All item enhancements will be transferred to the new version.  To exchange an item simply contact a world keeper.

Cursed Items

Cursed items are special items that usually possess very powerful magically properties but also have powerful negative properties that affect the player.  Many cursed items also cannot be removed for an extended duration after being equipped so the player should be careful not to use a cursed item unless they want the effect.

The bulk of cursed items are random with random attributes but some are part of sets and or can be unique.  Cursed items are not useless despite the opinion of some players, a cursed item that for instance drains strength but increases magicka is extremely useful for a mage character.

Since cursed items rate pretty high on the rarity list there is an exchange system in place where people can trade in the current item for another of the same type but right for their gender and size.  All item enhancements will be transferred to the new version.  To exchange an item simply contact a world keeper.

Unique Items

Unique items are special items with very powerful magically properties.  However since their unique only 1 of each unique may ever be found.  If the unique is destroyed somehow though another may appear to replace it, when and where this will occur is depicted by random chance.  Even today not all unique have been claimed and new unique are being added regularly.

Since unique items only have 1 of each unique in game at any one time it would be considered unfair if the player were unable to wear it simply because their character is not the right gender or size.  To help with this there is an exchange system in place where people can trade in the current item for another of the same type but right for their gender and size.  All item enhancements will be transferred to the new version.  To exchange an item simply contact a world keeper.

Ethereal Items

Ethereal items are special items that are impossible to repair and impossible to create, because of this though they are incredibly powerful.  Ethereal items tend to have a transparent ghostly look to them and on average their usually twice as powerful as their non ethereal counterpart.  Ethereal items however cannot be as heavily enchanted as regular items and ethereal items can only be obtained from humanoid mobs that carry them.  All normal, magical, set, cursed and unique items are capable of being Ethereal.

Cloth (No Grade to S Grade)

Cloth is the most basic armor type available and it offers little to no protection against physical attacks.  Unlike armor most casual clothing is specially treated for magic users.  This enhances the flow of magicka which in turn gives a larger magicka supply and faster casting of spells.  Some cloth is instead or also treated to offer elemental protection.

Leather (No Grade)

Leather is a light type of armor that offers light protection without hindering mobility too much, it’s ideal for stealthy and ranged characters.

Iron (No Grade)

Bronze (No Grade)

Chainmail (D Grade)

Steel (D Grade)

Plate (C Grade)

Mithril (A Grade)

Dragon scale (S Grade)

Dragon scale armor is one of the toughest armors in existence but because it’s made from real dragon scales it’s incredibly rare.  It’s very light weight with great mobility as such it’s very heavily sought after.

Demonic/Saserion (S Grade)

Demonic or Saserion items as they will be referred to throughout this section, are made from Saserion ore.  Unlike other ore Saserion ore weighs 100 times as much as steel, is 50 times as strong and is more durable when it comes to enchanting.  It’s only found in regions owned by the demons and due to its weight it’s only used by demons.  Because of the nature of Saserion ore it’s considered S class and is highly expensive.

Saserion armor far outclasses any other armor in Eden except for maybe a select few uniques.  Because of its strength it’s extremely difficult for any mortal to actually penetrate.  Most mortals are forced to look for weak parts in the armor such as the joints or parts of the person’s body not protected by Saserion armor.

Saserion bows aren’t like other bows, their bow string is made from thin flexible Saserion ore making them impossible to pull back for any non demon.  Due to the design arrows fired from a Saserion bow are capable of achieving distance and speed well over 100 times of a normal arrow.  Arrows that are made from decent material and are fired from Saserion bows have been known to penetrate castle walls and high class magic shields.

Saserion weapons though not as lethal as bows are made with razor edges like a saw.  Their capable of cutting through almost all armor with a small amount of force except Saserion.

Armor and Clothing Styles

Each race has its own unique style of armor and clothing.  Most players prefer to play the part sticking to the racial style of armor and clothing of their race.  Players however that like to use whatever style of armor and clothing they wish will need to shop in appropriate locations to acquire the style of their taste.  Most racial towns have tailors or armor smiths that create armor and clothing in their own racial style this is true even among players.  Most major cities though and even a few small cities have multiple armor smiths and tailors each from various races that offer their own racial style.

Below is a listing the basic styles of armor and clothing for each race.

Dark Elves

Dark elves are all about sex appeal when it comes to armor and clothing even on males.  Their armor and clothing is elegant and flashy like Elves but at the same time it’s very very revealing.  Dark elves usually either have obscenely short skirts, low cut tops or clothing with large gaps.  A lot of dark elf armor borderlines on functional, a lot of female armor has their bust and thighs exposed.  Males aren’t much better in clothing or armor having their chests fully or near fully visible and their crotches skimpily covered.

Demons

Depending on the type of demon, demons can be classy or ignorant to any style at all.  However in the case of succubi/incubi they usually shoot for seductive with armor and clothing.  Clothing usually ranges from average to designer quality flashy/seductive.  Armor is similar it’s well made and high quality with beautiful designs and shape.  However unlike Dark Elves, demons usually don’t sacrifice defense by having their bust sticking out or having their thighs completely exposed.  They opt for a more functional yet good looking approach with fancy designs.

Dwarves

Dwarves are busy busy busy as such their clothing is built to be practical and so it doesn’t get in the way.  Dwarves don’t really care for flashy elegant clothing as it’s only going to get full of dirt from mining or from crafting metal items.  Dwarves despite the cold climate of the regions they live in usually opt for short pants and short tops, even for armor due to working in mines or near forges most of the time.

Elves

Elves are elegant and always have been.  As such their style in armor and clothing reflects this.  Their clothing is functional and very high quality with flashy designer like appeal to them.  Armor is much the same very functional yet at the same time offering very good defense while looking elegant and flashy.  Overall Elves wear the kind of clothing and armor you’d expect rich people and models to wear in the real world.

Humans

Humans generally have 2 styles of clothing and armor, cheap and expensive.  Cheap is functional but not flashy in the least, expensive is flashy in appearance and quite elegant much like Elves.  Overall human armor and clothing is functional and although the more expensive kind is flashier it still doesn’t compare to the quality or flare of Elves.

Orcs

Orcs are very tribal compared to other races and due to the hot climates they live in they wear simple clothing opting for short pants and short tops.  Their armor is much the same usually only covering the chest and a small portion around their waist.

Tattoos

In Eden there are two types of tattoos.  Normal tattoos just for decoration and tattoos made with special inks that enhance the player’s abilities.  Either of the tattoos can be removed with special magic and elixirs.  Skilled ink artists are capable of providing services for applying and removing tattoos.  Players using a character that has regenerative abilities such as a succubus can opt for an even quicker and cheaper removal of tattoos by simply cutting the flesh off the tattoo resides on.  After some time the flesh will regenerate as per normal and will no longer have the tattoo.

Like normal tattoos ability tattoos can come in any shape or form the player wishes.  They can also be placed on any location of the body.  These tattoos are made from special inks that have been treated with soul essence and enchanted to give the appropriate ability.  Players can have several ability tattoos but the body can only handle so many magic enhancements, exceeding it can cause death in extreme circumstances.  Demons are overall stronger so are capable of having more tattoos without any ill effects.  A good balance is several low strength ability tattoos or 1 or 2 heavy strength ones.

Elemental, Disease and Poison Resistance

Elemental Resistance

Standard armor is good for protecting the body from physical attacks but when it comes to magical attacks players are wide open.  To compensate players can acquire items, particularly jewelry that possess elemental resistances.  Elemental resistance works much the same as armor, there are various grades of resistance and higher grades offer better protection.  Elemental resistance stacks with no ill effects however there is no way to be truly immune to elemental attacks unless such an ability is granted by a unique, cursed or set item.

Before entering an area that’s known to have a heavy dominant element such as a dungeon possessing a lot of mages skilled in fire magic, players should equip themselves appropriately to avoid injury or death.

Below is a full listing of elements.

  • Air/Wind
  • Earth
  • Fire
  • Gravity
  • Holy/Life
  • Ice
  • Lightning/Electricity
  • Shadow/Darkness
  • Water

Disease Resistance

Disease resistance works in exactly the same fashion as elemental resistance except that it protects from diseases in the world that creatures or players may be carrying.  All priests and paladins are given an enchanted cross when their ceremony is complete which renders them completely immune to disease.  However this cross is only granted to priests and paladins and will only work for them so other players will have to seek alternative items such as unique, cursed or set items to become fully immune.

It’s highly advised to carry some sort of disease resistance gear or at least be in the company of a priest, paladin or carry an assortment of cure disease potions for the appropriate diseases.

Poison Resistance

Poison resistance functions in exactly the same way as elemental and disease resistance for full information see the section above.

It’s highly advised for players to equip themselves appropriately with poison resistance gear before entering an area with creatures or NPCs that use poison.  Or at the very least players should be in the company of a priest, paladin or carry an assortment of cure poison potions for the appropriate poisons.

Soulshot, Spiritshot and Blessed Spiritshot

Soulshot is a special formula made from the essence of souls that coats melee weapons or arrows.  Soulshot doubles the damage of an attack by allowing a weapon to damage the targets soul.  Soulshot only lasts for a single strike before it has to be reactivated.  Most weapons activate soulshot by pressing a switch on the base of the weapon.  When soulshot is activated the weapon will spark with blue energy briefly before settling down, a similar effect happens when striking with a soulshot covered weapon, the strike will radiate blue energy briefly before disappearing.

Spiritshot is made the same way and used in the same way as soulshot.  The main difference is rather than infusing the weapon with soul damaging capabilities it infuses the user.  The users next magical spell will be enhanced by the spiritshot energy.  Spiritshot is commonly used against tough opponents and to increase the effectiveness of healing magic on a party member.

Blessed spiritshot is a higher form of spiritshot that has been blessed by a priest or paladin.  Blessed spiritshot acts exactly like spiritshot except that it’s twice as powerful and it also allows the caster to focus the magicka required for a spell faster.

All 3 types of shots have various grades that range from no grade to S grade.  The only real difference in grade is power, higher grades have higher power.

Magic Amplifiers

Magic users have the option of using a variety of magic amplifiers that come in all forms, weapons, armor, jewelry and so on.  These amplifiers are made of special materials and are specially treated to amplify a person’s magicka and spells.  When worn they can give a variety of abilities such as higher magicka which allows the casting of larger spells and for longer, faster casting speed, better magic damage and allowing spells to travel further.

Almost all mage armor and weapons are designed to be magic amplifiers and it’s important that the player take care when picking them out.  If they find themselves able to cast fast but running out of magicka constantly they should opt to buy equipment to enhance their maximum magicka.

Scry Crystals (Long Distance Communication)

Communication between the real world and Eden is prohibited.  Only world keepers are allowed to use such communication to aid in their work.

There are two forms of long distance communication, the mail system and the more popular and more useful Scry Crystals.  Scry crystals work similar to cell phones but require no upkeep fee and they are set to the player account number of whoever is currently holding the Scry crystal making it impossible to get another person’s calls.  Scry crystals use magic to connect to Scry crystals of other players they then project a video image and emit the sound of the talking player.

To use a Scry crystal the player must know a players account number or they must be on their friends list.  Once they know it they hold out their Scry crystal say “Scry (player account number or friend name)” and it’ll attempt to connect to the player.  The Scry crystal will make a faint humming sound if it detects a player attempting to call, in which case the player need only say “Scry on” and it’ll connect the two players Scry crystals.  To end a call one player simply needs to say “Scry off”.

More expensive Scry crystals can call groups of people at a time.  This is useful when trying to organize parties for cave or dungeon raids.  The connecting principal is the same except that instead of 1 image being projected it’ll be many and that unconnected players will project a faint glow to signify they are not yet connected.

Music Crystals

Music crystals are special crystals that are able to resonate sound.  Some music crystals have preset tunes that they’ll play if activated, however others will play music the player wants.  To use a music crystal that doesn’t have a preset tune players must have some sort of hand held media player device in the real world.  The hand held device is then hooked up to the uplink on the VR equipment.  Then once ingame the player is able to use a music crystal to play all the music or sounds they have recorded on their handheld device.

Memory Crystals

Memory crystals are special crystals that allow moments of time to be captured like a video camera.  These moments of time can be a simple still photo, a few second photo or an actual video.  Each memory crystal can only hold so many memories once it’s full old ones must be deleted or a new memory crystal must be bought.  Once a memory has been recorded it can be put on display where it can be viewed at the player’s leisure.

Memory crystals are not just for Eden though, memories recorded in Eden can be transferred to a hand held media player device in the real world.  To do this the player must have the device hooked up to the uplink on the VR equipment.  Then while ingame they’ll have the option to transfer to or retrieve data from the hand held device.  After the memories have been exported to a hand held device it’s only a matter of printing out the footage or recording it to a watchable CDSU (Crystal Data Storage Unit).

Mail

The mail system is run by personnel in the warehouse.  Players can send mail to any player in the game providing they know the account number (account numbers are automatically assigned upon account creation) of the player or the player is on their friends list.  To find out your account number check your account details or ask a personnel of the warehouse.  Sent mail is received instantly; packages can be no larger than a certain size, see personnel on the details.  Mail delivery cost is based on mass and the distance the sent mail must travel.  There is also a COD system in place so players can trade items over a distance safely.

Banking

The banking system in Eden is handled by personnel in the warehouse.  All characters on a players account have a linked bank account that can be added to or withdrawn from at any warehouse in any city.  Every month 3% interest will be added for any amount of money that has resided in the bank account for 30 or more days.

Note: Any withdrawals will be subtracted from the newest deposited amount allowing players to deposit and withdraw money at will without affecting their interest gain too heavily.  Withdrawing money that’s past the 30 day threshold will not cause any excess money to be bounced back on the day counter.  Also any money gained by interest will be required to reside in the account for 30 days before it’s counted in the 3% interest calculation.

Storing Goods and Warehouses

There are several ways and places you can store your goods and various items you’ve found.  You can use houses, which are explained in a later section, the warehouse or you can store your stuff in a random location around the world.

With the warehouse by default you are given a lockbox which is accessible by all characters on your account.  It is however only accessible in the warehouse you stored the goods in and has a limited amount of space.

For 50,000 Ethian you can buy a special storage zone that’s accessible via portal from all warehouses and from all characters.  This storage space has containers, display cases and armor stands to hold your various goods.  Players can also give friends permission to access their storage zone allowing their friends to take or deposit items as they see fit.

Houses

There are different houses in every city always available for sale or for rent for various prices.  You can access houses from any character providing you have the key.  You can’t however access the houses from any city other than the one it’s in unless you purchases some sort of teleportation device for it.  Houses you buy can be upgraded with various furniture to make it homier and to better display your spoils of war.

Upon purchasing a home you can visit it, store your items, sleep and do whatever else you like, there’s no extra charges for anything.

You can also rent houses, how this works is you pay the owner a weekly fee for its usage.  If you can’t pay you’ll be evicted.

Note: Players may own no more than 3 houses in one city, if they do the last purchased house will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and the player whose house is being auctioned will not receive the income from the auction.

Clans

In Eden there are many different clans created by players because anyone can make their own clan.  Clans always have been and always will be groups of people that gather together with the same interests in mind that wish to play together for a better time.  What clans offer differs from clan to clan.  Here’s a list below of the aspects that clans can offer.

  • Clan Symbol:  The clan symbol is typically an icon present on the arm, chest or shield of the armor however some clans opt for a tattoo.  The clan symbol is generally to show other players they belong to a special group of people.
  • Clan Hall:  The clan hall is a base of operations for clans which houses all the necessary clan facilities.  Without one the clan will be reduced to meeting at a local inn or meeting up at a point in the city.

Note: A clan may own no more than 2 clan halls in one city, if they do the last purchased clan hall will be auctioned off to the highest bidder and the clan whose clan hall is being auctioned will not receive the income from the auction.

  • Clan Castle:  Same as a clan hall only that it’s a castle rather than a clan hall building.  Unlike clan halls, a clan castle must be taken over by force.  See the section Clan Castle Sieges for full information.
  • Clan Warehouse:  The clan warehouse is a very important aspect of the clan.  It allows clan members to store their goods for themselves and for other clan members.  The clan warehouse can be an extension of the clan hall or it can be another structure all together.
  • Clan Academy:  The clan academy is used to train new clan members and is generally only available for the most powerful clans since it’s rather costly to setup.  It can be part of the clan hall or another structure all together.  The idea behind the clan academy is for the top of the line clan fighters to train all the newcomers so their skilled enough to accompany others in clan groups or raids.
  • Clan Armor/Weapons:  Clan armor and weapons are actually a rather clan specific thing.  Most clans just have their members wear whatever armor or weapons they have money for or can find.  Although generally if clan members have spare armor or weapons that’s better than another members they’ll offer it for free or a reduced cost.

Some clans however go as far as to make their own personal clan armor and weapons which have their own unique style, look and of course the clan symbol.  These types of clans generally outfit all members old and new with the best clan armor and weapons the clan can afford.  Clans with clan specific armor and weapons tend to draw more attention as their more noticeable when they walk down the street together.

  • Clan Alchemists, Enchanters, Gatekeepers, Healers, Smiths and Tailors:  Large clans with a lot of members that have a large variety of skills tend to have several members with specific jobs.  The clan members with these skills usually offer their services for free to all clan members providing they have the materials to work with.  In return the members that provide these services are always well looked after by the clan in many ways.  Their usually protected well in battle, given first pick on loot and given any spare materials of their profession that are found to work with.
  • Clan Raids:  Most large scale clans have clan raids on constant occasions.  Clan raids are generally groups of 5+ members that venture into areas that are too dangerous to work alone unless highly skilled.

For instance some areas are ranked as S class but require 10+ members to safely move around the area.  However clans that do raids can also go to higher areas earlier.  Clans with say C class battle skills can venture into B class areas without too much worries if they have a large amount of members.

Almost all of the above clan aspects are incredibly expensive to setup.  A clan hall can cost as little as 200,000 Ethian with the basic facilities or as much as 2 million Ethian for a clan hall with all facilities.

Clan Castle Sieges

As of v2.56 mass pvp and castle sieges are available after careful development.  This section will cover only castle sieges involving 2 or more clans however there is brief information below on clan vs NPC sieges.

A castle siege involving a clan against a castle of NPCs is handled slightly differently for the defenders.  Unlike the players any deaths the defending NPCs incur will be permanent.

Setting up a Siege

In order to participate in a castle siege the clan leader must create a siege declaration.  To create a declaration or modify an existing one the clan leader need only say “Create Siege Declaration” or “Modify Siege Declaration” as well as a corresponding number.  A transparent prompt will appear in front of the clan leader allowing them to customize the Time, Day and Month of the attack as well as which castle their attacking and any allying clans that will be participating in

the siege.  After the declaration has been created the clan leader who owns the castle will be informed of the impending siege.

Once the siege is declared all members of the current or any allying clans must sign the siege declaration document to signify they will be participating in the siege.  Even non clan members and NPCs (Note: NPCs will become ghosts and be revived just like players) are allowed to sign the siege participation but to do so will require the clan leaders go ahead, this allows clans to hire or add players from outside the clan to help participate in the siege.  To sign the participation the clan leader must bring up the declaration document by saying “Modify Siege Declaration” as well as a corresponding number.

Due to the design clans may set up more than 1 castle siege.  They can even set up several sieges on the same time and day however no member can participate in more than 1 of the sieges scheduled at the same time as it’s impossible to be at more than 1 location at one time.

If a clan leader decides to call off the siege they can cancel the siege declaration and the defending clan leader will be notified.  Likewise any members that have signed up to participate in a siege may remove themselves from the siege member list or simply not show up.

Note: The list of members participating in the siege or the castles defense will not be shown to the opposing sides.

Defending a Siege

Once a siege declaration has been made on a castle owned by the clan leader they will be informed instantly of the impending attack.  The clan leader can either surrender the castle instantly, upon doing so the attacking clan leader will be notified or the clan leader can choose to fight.  If the clan leader chooses to fight they must assign defenders to the castle.  This is done by having the clan leader say “Modify Siege Declaration” as well as a corresponding number.  A transparent prompt will appear in front of the clan leader displaying the information on the impending siege.

On this prompt clan members can sign up to the defense of the castle as well as any allied clans.  Like sieging non members and NPCs (Note: NPCs will become ghosts and be revived just like players) can also sign the document providing they get the go ahead with the clan leader allowing them to recruit extra castle defenders.  Should a defender change their mind about participating they can remove their name from the list or simply not show up.

Note: The list of members participating in the siege or the castles defense will not be shown to the opposing sides.

How the Siege Works

Once defenders and attackers have been setup and the appropriate day has come for the castle siege all participants should make their way to the castle.  When the designated time comes all players will be notified by a large global notice overhead the castle area.  All non siege participants within the siege range will be teleported instantly to the closet town.

Afterwards a large magic barrier will appear around the castle region.  This barrier acts as an impenetrable barrier preventing all siege participants from leaving the area and all non participants from entering the area.  Any siege participates who didn’t manage to get within the castle area before the siege started will have to sit the battle out.  Once the battle begins the siege will last for 12 hours or until the last person from one side or the other surrenders or is killed.

During the siege players can kill each other without worry of dying in the real world.  Through careful development players will become ghosts just moments before they would normally physically die.  Ghost players cannot be seen or heard by live players unless they possess enchants or items to do so.

Once a player has been killed and has become a ghost they cannot be revived however they can wander around the region within the magic barrier to watch the progress of the battle.  Ghosts can also see other ghosts however they cannot interact with anything thus preventing them from harming themselves, others, or interrupting the siege in some way.

When the battle ends they will be teleported to their body and their character’s body will have heavy healing magic applied to heal all wounds to the point where they are no longer life threatening (this process takes mere moments).  If a player was decapitated or vaporized during the siege their body will be restored but will have wounds relating to the damage that was inflicted upon them.  Once their bodies have been restored their ghost will be pushed back into their body and they will be able to move around as normal again.  Any players who died will have heavy wounds on their characters body however none of them will be life threatening.

With the battle over the magic barrier will be dropped allowing players to enter and exit the area freely again.  Any deaths that occur after the barrier disappears in the area will be permanent and occur in the real world as well.  With the barrier down clans can regroup to leave or occupy the castle and injured siege participants can seek out clan healers, visit the local churches or use healing potions to heal their wounds.

Clan Wars

As of v2.56 mass pvp and castle sieges are available after careful development.

Setting up a Clan War

A clan war is essentially the same as a clan castle siege only that the battle is fought on an area of terrain rather than fighting over a castle.

In order to participate in a clan war the clan leader must create a war declaration.  To create a declaration or modify an existing one the clan leader need only say “Create War Declaration” or “Modify War Declaration” as well as a corresponding number.  A transparent prompt will appear in front of the clan leader allowing them to customize the Time, Day and Month of the attack as well as the location the war will take place, any allying clans that will be participating in the war and of course the clan their attacking.  After the declaration has been created the clan leader who has been decided to be attack will be informed of the impending war.

Once the war is declared all members of the current or any allying clans must sign the war declaration document to signify they will be participating in the battle.  Even non clan members and NPCs (Note: NPCs will become ghosts and be revived just like players) are allowed to sign the war participation but to do so will require the clan leaders go ahead, this allows clans to hire or add players from outside the clan to help participate in the battle.  To sign the participation the clan leader must bring up the declaration document by saying “Modify War Declaration” as well as a corresponding number.

Due to the design clans may set up more than 1 clan war.  They can even set up several wars on the same time and day however no member can participate in more than 1 of the battles scheduled at the same time as it’s impossible to be at more than 1 location at one time.

If a clan leader decides to call off the war they can cancel the war declaration and the opposed clan leader will be notified.  Likewise any members that have signed up to participate in a war may remove themselves from the war member list.

Note: The list of members participating in the war on either side will not be shown to the opposing sides.

Accepting a Clan War

Once a war declaration has been made on a clan leader they will be informed instantly of the impending battle.  The clan leader can decline the battle, upon doing so the attacking clan leader will be notified or the clan leader can choose to fight.  If the clan leader chooses to fight they must sign up participants to the clan war.  This is done by having the clan leader say “Modify War Declaration” as well as a corresponding number.  A transparent prompt will appear in front of the clan leader displaying the information on the impending war.

On this prompt clan members can sign up to the war as well as any allied clans.  Like sieging non members and NPCs (Note: NPCs will become ghosts and be revived just like players) can also sign the document providing they get the go ahead with the clan leader allowing them to recruit extra fighters.  Should a participant change their mind about participating they can remove their name from the list or simply not show up.

Note: The list of members participating in the war on either side will not be shown to the opposing sides.

How the War Works

Once the war has been decided and the appropriate day has come for the clan war all participants should make their way to the battle area.  When the designated time comes all players will be notified by a large global notice overhead the region.  All non war participants within the region will be teleported instantly to the closet town.

Afterwards a large magic barrier will appear around the region.  This barrier acts as an impenetrable barrier preventing all war participants from leaving the area and all non participants from entering the area.  Any war participates who didn’t manage to get within the region before the war started will have to sit the battle out.  Once the battle begins the war will last for 12 hours or until the last person from one side or the other surrenders or is killed.

During the war players can kill each other without worry of dying in the real world.

Ghosts can also see other ghosts however they cannot interact with anything thus preventing them from harming themselves, others, or interrupting the war in some way.

When the battle ends they will be teleported to their body and their character’s body will have heavy healing magic applied to heal all wounds to the point where they are no longer life threatening (this process takes mere moments).  If a player was decapitated or vaporized during the war their body will be restored but will have wounds relating to the damage that was inflicted upon them.  Once their bodies have been restored their ghost will be pushed back into their body and they will be able to move around as normal again.  Any players who died will have heavy wounds on their characters body however none of them will be life threatening.

Crime, Punishment and Bannable Offences

Committing crime in Eden is as serious a crime as in the real world.  If a player is caught breaking the law they’ll be arrested and put in jail.  During jail players CANNOT log out, they will be forced to serve their sentence for their crime and as such their real life will have to be put on hold.  If a player has enough money they may be able to bail themselves out depending on what their crime was.

When guards are in pursuit of a player or have them in their custardy and are transporting the player to a jail the logout is disabled for the player.  To logout while being pursued by guards the player must wait 30 minutes after a guard loses sight of them.  If a guard spots the player the time limit will be reset and the player will have to wait another 30 minutes.

Players can report crime if they so wish, the city guard will take detailed information about the offending crime.  Players can also opt for a quicker way to report crime by reporting it to world keepers.  To report it directly to a world keeper a player should speak the words “I report a crime to a world keeper” and then state the crime in as much detail as possible.  Players may also report crimes to world keepers face to face if they wish should they be in the area and are currently not occupied with helping another player.

Standard crimes such as assault or theft are handled by city guards.  However crimes that have bans or require the powers of a world keeper are either handled by a world keeper alone or by both the city guard and a world keeper.

Below is a full listing of crimes.

Note: The information below is listed for standard punishments.  Repeated offences will be dealt with more harshly each time until the player is finally permanently banned.

Area Claiming

Area claiming is where a player or group of players spend their time in an area and tell others rudely to leave the area because it’s their area.  This is common practice in other online RPGs where players effectively camp an area and kill everything as it respawns, while at the same time making sure no players outside their party stay within the area.

Area claiming is not tolerated asking players rudely to leave an area is a temporary bannable offence with bans lasting anywhere between 6-24 weeks.  Threatening a player with violence if they do not leave the area will net the offending players a permanent ban.

Assault

Assaulting someone in a city will get you arrested and will require you to pay a fine and probably spend a few days in jail.  Duels where both parties agree to fight are not counted as assault and even if they’re in town they will not be stopped unless the town guard deems it dangerous to the public or other people get caught in the fight.  Roleplaying assault is not subject to these terms.

Bad Character Names

People who do not follow the rules of naming their character (See naming section for details) by giving their character a proper name will be receive a warning, further violations will net the player a temporary ban.  Nicknames are not subject to these terms.

Begging for Money/Items

Begging for anything continuously is not tolerated and depending on how it’s done it can be considered harassment.  Begging itself though is a temporary bannable offence with bans lasting anywhere between 2-12 weeks.  The world keeper who oversees the incident will decide the ban length.

Creation of New Age Technology

The creation of New Age technology that surpasses medieval times is prohibited.  Anyone caught making or using such technology will be permanently banned.  For a list of banned technology consult the library or a world keeper.

Players who desire new age technology should check out the new version of Eden called Future Era that will be going live very soon.

Drugs

Selling and taking drugs is a criminal offence, if caught the player will receive a heavy fine and time in jail dependant on how serious the crime was.

Excessive Verbal Abuse

Excessive verbal abuse beyond a reasonable amount is a temporary bannable offence with bans lasting anywhere between 2-12 weeks.  The world keeper who oversees the incident will decide the ban length.  Roleplaying verbal abuse is not subject to these terms.

Extortion

Extortion where a player threatens to destroy a person’s business or items or harm the player themselves if they don’t pay a fee is a permanent bannable offence.  Roleplaying extortion is not subject to these terms.

Harassment

Harassing a player continuously in one way or another is a permanent bannable offence.  Roleplaying harassment is not subject to these terms.

Indecent Exposure

Running around naked in town, flashing people or anything else in this fashion will get you arrested for indecent exposure.  It’s a lesser crime but you will be required to pay a fine and most likely spend a day in jail.

Loot Ninjaing

Loot ninjaing is taking an item from a mob that doesn’t belong to you, whether it belongs to another party or your own and you’re simply claiming the item for yourself before discussing who gets it.  Any reports of a player being a loot ninja will be carefully examined and if the player is indeed a loot ninja they will be permanently banned.

Murder

Murder is a serious crime, murdering in cold blood will get you a permanent ban and have you thrown in a jail in the real world for an extended period of time.

Necromancy

Necromancy of any lawful NPC or player is an offence.  If caught the player will be arrested and forced to pay a fine and spend a duration in jail.

Necrophilia

Necrophilia is a serious crime, if caught the player will be forced to pay a heavy fine and spend an extended duration in jail.

Non Game Advertising

Advertising locations, products or anything to do with the real world in Eden is a temporary bannable offence with bans lasting anywhere between 2-12 weeks.  The world keeper who oversees the incident will decide the ban length.

Prostitution

Offering sexual services for money is a criminal offence, if caught the player will be forced to pay a fine and maybe spend a few days in jail.  Roleplaying prostitution is not subject to these terms.

Rape

Rape is a serious crime but it is not a bannable offence.  If caught the player will be forced to pay a heavy fine and spend an extended duration in jail.  Roleplaying rape is not subject to these terms.

Refusing to Logout

In some instances players will be asked to log out by staff of Globex Corporation.  Failure to do so can resort in a temporary or permanent ban of the players account.  Players also run the risk of being forcibly logged out which in most instances results in the player’s death.

Scamming

There are many forms of scamming all of which is a permanent bannable offence.  If a world keeper is contacted about someone scamming they’ll investigate the issue, if they deem a player was indeed trying to scam they’ll be permanently banned.  Scams that put other player’s lives in danger can even warrant jail time.

  • Delivery Scams:  Is when a player claims to deliver furniture, mannequins or some other large object to a place agreed upon but instead keeps the money and does not deliver the item.
  • Help Me Scams:  Is when players pretend to be illiterate in combat and get a horde of creatures or NPCs chasing them.  The players then start shouting for people to help them as they’re in trouble.  When nearby players help, the scammer watches them get killed by the creatures or NPCs or helps the creatures or NPCs kill the helping players.
  • Item Scams:  Is when a player tries to sell a low cheap item for a high price while claiming it’s actually a high level item.  Can also be a player trying to sell one item that they claim is another, eg: D grade soulshot as C grade soulshot.
  • Item Service Scams:  Is when a player claims they’ll provide a service for a players item such as enchanting it or recoloring it for a price but instead of doing so they run off with the items.  Also can be giving the player a different or lower grade service than agreed upon.  As well as identifying an item and deliberately telling the player it’s something else in an attempt to buy the item cheaper or to cheat the player in some way.  As well as providing shoddy maintenance to weapons or armor which can or do result in a players death.
  • Quest Scams:  Is when players advertise a quest of some sort that is much more dangerous than they claim or that they reward the player with something far less valuable than they claimed.  Also playing on words describing something horrible in a good way so it sounds great.
  • Teleportation Scams:  Is when a player claims they’ll teleport a player from one zone to another but instead teleport them to a completely different zone after being payed, most likely a hostile zone with a high chance of death.
  • Transaction Scams:  Is when a buying player deliberately inputs the incorrect amount on the transaction panel that uses real money in an attempt to get the item cheaper than agreed upon.  Or when a player deliberately pays an incorrect amount of Ethian in an attempt to get the item cheaper than agreed upon.

Slavery

Slavery of a player is a bannable offence; slavery of an NPC is an arrestable offence.  A world keeper who handles the issue brought up will deem whether anyone should be permanently banned from play or not.  If a player is caught having someone as a slave, or enslaving people they’ll be arrested and jailed for a long period of time with no chance of bail.  Roleplaying as slave and master is not subject to these terms.

Spam

Spam of any kind is a permanent bannable offence.  Most forms of spam are in the form of some sort of message being repeated over and over, or advertisements constantly bombarding players.

Theft

Stealing from another player, NPC’s or graves is not a bannable offence nor will it warrant you a warning.  It is however illegal, if your caught doing it or reported for doing it you will be arrested and fined or forced to spend time in jail for extended periods of time.  Roleplaying theft is not subject to these terms.

World Keepers

World keepers are people who are paid to police Eden and solve technical issues.  World keepers are prohibited from helping a player avoid death unless it’s the result of a technical issue.  Any world keeper that violates this will have their employment terminated.

If for any reason a player requires a world keeper they should speak the words “I summon a world keeper” and then state the reason for doing so.  Shortly after a world keeper will answer the call and provide help.

World keepers almost always use S+ equipment which is otherwise unfindable, unmakable and unusable by players.  To perform their duties World keepers have the ability to spawn any item in the game for their or another players use, they are also capable of scripting items on the fly should they require them for some reason.  Finally World keepers are able to teleport to any point in Eden without depleting magicka or spending scrolls to do so.

Several World keepers use character models from various creatures that are otherwise unavailable to play as.  Requests by players to play as these character models will be ignored as they were never intended for players to use.  World keepers are allowed to play the game as per normal when they have no duties and can sometimes be found grouping with less experienced players.  While playing with a group of players World keepers are not bound by the rule to not save players.

Becoming a World Keeper

Players wishing to become a World keeper can apply at the main office.  However World keepers are specially picked and require the below skills.

  • Veteran knowledge of Eden and it’s functionality.
  • Veteran level combat skills in either melee, archery or magic.
  • Basic to moderate knowledge at using magic (mostly for teleporting around Eden).
  • The ability to work at least 20 hours a week.
  • Good communication and people skills.

Players should understand that although they can apply for the position of a World keeper, World keepers are not always being hired.

Creature/Mob Database

This is a full listing of all current creatures and mobs in game.

Shade

A shade is a type of demon with shape shifting abilities.  Its natural body is nothing more than a black mist with a set of eyes.  However it can change its appearance at will to copy any person down to the tiniest detail.  Unlike most shape shifters shades can stay in a shifted form indefinitely.  To help with tricking people shades are able to read peoples memories and absorb their knowledge.

Shades are more or less immune to everything in their natural form but they are vulnerable when shape shifted.  However even when shape shifted they can shift sections of their body to normal to avoid being harmed and if they suffer any damage what so ever they can shift that section of their body back immediately to have the damage instantly healed.  Like most high class demons Shades have strength equal to 100 times a normal human.

Cursed Unique Items Database

This is a full listing of all current cursed unique items in game.

Note: Items that state a duration the item cannot be removed for refers to actual play time of the character and not time spent on standby.

Amulet of Body to Mind

An amulet.  When worn the player’s body will act as magicka when spells are cast.  What this means is instead of getting slightly fatigued the energy for magicka will come directly from the players flesh causing open wounds across their body.  This effect will remain active until the amulet is removed.

Warning: Overuse of the amulet can cause death and its ill advised to use the amulet on any character race except demons.  Item cannot be removed for 1 week after being equipped.

Bracelet of Phalia

The bracelet looks like a silver bracelet with various designs and patterns.  When worn by a female character the bracelet causes the player to grow a large penis (takes about 1 hour to fully grow) with size dependant on the race of the player.  The penis will remain on the player until the bracelet is removed.

Warning: Item cannot be removed for 1 week after being equipped.

Insomniacs Chain

A silver chain necklace that when worn will never allow the player to sleep.  The player will feel the fatigue of sleep but will never be able to fall asleep.  When worn for 100 days straight (at least 50 of which must be actual game play time) the necklace will cause an effect called significance.  In this state the player can see the motion trails of everything in real time and move at such incredible speed that their movement is impossible to follow with a person’s eye.  The significance effect will be removed if the item is taken off and the player will be required to wear it for another 100 days to trigger the effect again.

Warning: Item cannot be removed for 1 week after being equipped.

The One Earring

The One Earring is a gold earring with Elvish writing written in flame that’s only visible when the earring has been put in fire.  When worn the player becomes completely invisible and when held the player becomes obsessed with the earring and will take to calling the earring “my precious”.

Warning: If a player has possessed The One Earring for an extended duration they can become violent if someone attempts to take the earring from them.  Also people who spend a long time around The One Earring will slowly obsess with it and try to claim it for their own.

Senses of the Blind

Senses of the blind is a black cloth designed to be a blindfold for a blind person.  When worn it completely blinds the player but increases all other senses by 5 times their normal rate.  The item is ineffective unless worn directly over the eyes.

Warning: Item cannot be removed for 1 week after being equipped.

The Wandering Tail

The wandering tail is a gold ring, when worn the player grows a long fleshy tail with a spearhead tip, the tails skin color is the same as the player’s body (takes about 1 hour to fully grow).  The tail however has a mind of its own and cannot be controlled.  The tail will remain on the player until the ring is removed.  If the player already has a tail it causes their tail to have a mind of it’s own and become uncontrollable.

Warning: Item cannot be removed for 1 week after being equipped.

Unique Items Database

This is a full listing of all current unique items in game.

The All Seeing Eye

The All Seeing Eye is a unique piece of silver with a lens that rests directly over a player’s eye.  While seeing through the lens the player can see everything that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to see.  The eye is able to see through walls, see things hundreds of miles in the distance and if darkness dampens the players vision it will appear illuminated.  Invisible creatures/players, spirits, souls and even the Reaper can be seen while looking through the lens.

Angels Grace

Angels Grace is a unique amulet that when worn causes the player to sprout a set of white feathered wings (takes about 1 hour to fully grow) and have a halo appear above their head.  The player will be able to fly using the wings.  The wings and halo will remain on the player until the amulet is removed.

Note: Works on all non demon, non undead races.  When worn by demons or undead races the amulet will have no effect.

The Bad Angel

The Bad Angel is a unique amulet that when worn causes the player to sprout a set of white feathered wings (takes about 1 hour to fully grow) and a set of horns (takes about 1 hour to fully grow) that hold up a halo above the players head.  The player will be able to fly using the wings.  If the player already has a set of wings the wings will not grow and they will not replace their current wings.  The wings (if applicable), horns and halo will remain on the player until the amulet is removed.

Band of the Silver Tongue

Band of the Silver Tongue is a silver ring decorated with serpents that has rubies for eyes.  When worn the player has the ability to convince any non player to do anything they ask.  Using the ring players can even imprint permanent commands, like always follow me, or always protect me.  All commands however disappear when the ring is removed from the player, even if the ring is put back on, the player must reinitiate any commands they previously gave.

Note: Misuse of the ring such as using its power to try to kill a player is a violation of the rules of play and is an automatic permanent ban.  If a player is banned for misuse the ring will be destroyed and re-added to the randomized loot tables.

Chain of the Mind

Looks like a silver necklace chain.  When worn the player is able to control the mind of any non player, the only requirement is that the subject must be visible when attempting to take control.  During control of the subject the player will see through the subject’s eyes and any movement the player makes will take effect on the subject’s body.  All senses are active to the player but the player can choose not to sense them, for instance they can choose to ignore any sense of pain the subject has.  Control of the subject will last until the player cancels it or the player is killed.  If the subject is killed the control is canceled and no ill effects befall the player.

Note: Misuse of the amulet such as using its power to try to kill a player is a violation of the rules of play and is an automatic permanent ban.  If a player is banned for misuse the amulet will be destroyed and re-added to the randomized loot tables.

Chalice of Reversal

The Chalice of Reversal looks like a golden cup with gems on its sides.  The chalice itself is able to reverse the body of 2 people so they switch bodies.  To do so both people must pour a decent amount of their blood into the chalice and mix it.  Once their blood is mixed together one person should drink half and the other person should drink the remainder.  After a few moments the world should blur and swirl and the players should change bodies.

The effect lasts for 24 hours or until the players both log out.  If one player logs out and later logs in on the same character while their friend still has the body their friend will be returned to their original character’s body.  Changing bodies does not allow access to the other persons warehouse or anything else account specific.

The Clockstopper Boots

The Clockstopper Boots are a unique pair of boots that alter the wearers movement speed and physical endurance far beyond normal limits.  While wearing the Clockstopper Boots a player can move so fast their movement is impossible to follow with a person’s eyes.

The Clow Cards

The Clow Cards are a set of 55 magic cards contained within a The Book of Clow.  Each card holds an entity with its own personality and magic power.  The cards are meant for magic use however they can also be used as fortune telling cards to predict the future.  When dormant the entity resides within a card that has its name and picture on it, however when active it takes on its physical form pictured on the card.

To be able to use a card the user must own it by having their name written on it as well as possess some magical power.  From there the user can summon the entity residing in the card to its physical form and use its power as they wish.  Each entity has a limited amount of power that will restore over time and doesn’t rely off the user.

When a card is unowned it can act on its own and use its abilities as it wishes as well as change to its physical form whenever it desires.  To revert it to its card form to be written on and claimed the card must be defeated through magic means or through a challenge relating to its powers.

Compass of Desire

The Cowardly Sword

The Cowardly Sword is a unique sword that’s imbued with a spirit name Ethan.  The spirit though is a complete coward and talks constantly, telling the player they should flee when they encounter an enemy rather than fight.  The spirit can be talked to like a normal NPC though and the player can literally hold conversations with it.  Although rather comical the sword can eventually become annoying with its cowardly behavior.

The Dancers Flute

Is a flute.  When played all humanoids in the area that hear the music will start dancing and continue to do so as long as the flute is played.  The person playing the flute is not affected by it.

Gaze of Passion

Is a amulet.  When worn the player is able to cause any NPC to immediately fall deeply in love with them regardless of their gender and sexual preference.  The effect will last until the amulet is removed and is otherwise permanent.

Warning: Depending on the NPC’s personality the NPC may or may not get extremely jealous of others being near or close to the object of their love.  Having multiple loves with NPC’s that are extremely jealous can lead to violence if not careful.

The Good Demon

The Good Demon is a unique amulet that when worn causes a halo to appear over the players head and remain there until the amulet is removed.

Note: This amulet only works on demon races when worn by any other race it will have no effect.

The Panties of Seduction

The Panties of Seduction are a pair of white lace panties for female characters only.  When worn it makes all non humanoid and non undead creatures docile toward the player.  As well as making them docile they become increasingly aroused as the player stays in the area.

The Reaper’s Cross

Although this item is listed as a unique there is actually 2 copies and not one.  One copy is held by the Reaper while the other can be found as random loot.

The Reaper’s cross is a unique silver cross with a silver chain.  The holder of the Reaper’s Cross literally cannot die.  Anything that would kill them will somehow backfire or miss them.
