Appearance

All honey bees look very similar to humans especially in body shape.  Below is an overview of their appearance.

  • Their skin is dark yellow
  • They stand at about 5 to 6ft tall when fully grown
  • They have thin athletic bodies with large breasts (Note: workers have larger breasts than warriors)
  • They do not have a hymen
  • They have a large black stinger on their backside that is semi flexible.
  • They are completely hairless except for their heads
  • They have blond or black hair sometimes both colors, orange eyes and dark orange blood
  • They have a set of skinny black antennae on their heads
  • They have a set of large transparent white wings on their back
  • Queens have an additional set of wings and have a small fluffy ring of yellow and black hair around their necks.

Origin

Honey bees or Cubile as they call themselves are not a construct of nature.  They are actually the construct of an unknown race through careful gene construction.  The race itself was constructed around the concept of using the planet Euphoria as their home.  This planet housed an abundance of massive flowers which would be the main food source of the honey bees and allow them to produce mass quantities of honey through their breasts.

Originally only one honey bee was made, a queen.  She was put on a ship along with a sizable crew, a specially gene constructed guardian and was promptly shuttled to the planet Euphoria.  Unfortunately when the shuttle neared the planet technical complications caused the ship to crash land on the surface.  All of the ships crew perished in the crash but the queen and her guardian survived.  The queen remained sleeping in a statis chamber while her guardian watched over her for hundreds of years before dying of old age.

Before the technical difficulties the queen was originally intended to be put on the planet with her guardian which would watch over and protect her from the wildlife of the planet until she built up a sizable hive.  Once a sizable hive had been created the honey was to be shipped back to the home planet of the creators as a food source for the population.

Honey Bee Types

In total there are 3 types of Honey Bees and their all as important as each other for the hive to survive.  Queens are considered the heart of the hive, since that’s the case the workers can be considered the Body and the warriors can be considered its immune system.

Workers

The following is a list of jobs workers perform.

  • Building
  • Creating Items
  • Cultivating Hive Gardens
  • Gathering
  • Honey Production
  • Repairing
  • Transporting

Warriors

Warriors are extremely important to the hive as they are the only defense against hostile enemies.  Although a hive can operate without warriors it’s unlikely it’ll survive long without them.  The following is a list of jobs warriors perform.

  • Attacking
  • Escorting
  • Guarding
  • Patrolling
  • Scouting

Warriors are to always put the life of the queen first, workers second and thirdly other warriors and their own.  Leaving a worker helpless to save themselves is a serious taboo.  Leaving a queen helpless to save themselves is the worst thing a warrior can possibly do.  If they actually survive the warrior will remain in captivity in a small cell for the rest of their lives to serve as a warning to others and allow them to reflect on their actions.

Queens

Queens are the most important type of Honey Bee as they are the heart of the hive.  Queens are the only type of Honey bee capable of giving birth to babies meaning without queens any hive will eventually die out regardless of its size.  The following is a list of jobs queens perform.

Active Queens

  • Birthing
  • All Inactive Queen Duties when Inactive queen is under aged or absent

Inactive Queens

  • Decide Punishments for crimes/failure to work
  • Listen to Worker and Warrior Reports
  • Overview Attack Plans and Order Attacks
  • Overview Defense Plans and Order Defense
  • Overview Hive Expansion plans and Order Expansions to be made

Normally there’s only ever one queen active in a hive at all times although in rare instances such as twin queens it’s possible for more than one queen to become active.  An active queen will give birth to a baby Honey Bee every 3 hours making for a total of 10 a day on the planet Euphoria.  This fact however can be influenced by various things such as hive size, planet seasons, planet day and night cycle and so forth.

Life Span

The life span for a honey bee is rather short lasting only between 25 to 35 years of their planets year.  Despite having a short life span honey bees retain their physical appearance and healthy young body allowing them to continue their work un-phased by their aging.  As well as having a short life span honey bees grow incredibly fast.  Approximately each year of a honey bees life span can be considered about 3 years in earths time.  So by the time a honey bee is 2 years old they’ve already reached the size and maturity of a 6 year old human.

Ages 0 to 2

The first 2 years in a honey bees life is reserved for growing, learning to walk, fly and maturing.  During this time they may do as they wish as long as it doesn’t cause trouble for the hive.  Queen’s although allowed to do as they please are kept under close supervision by warrior bees that are part of the queens guard.

Ages 2 to 4

At the age of 2 honey bees begin their own specific training depending on their class.  At the age of 3 they are also educated in classes about sex and masturbation.

Workers
Young workers are educated in large classes by elder workers inside the hive.  Their educated on all aspects of being a worker such as building, foraging and creating items from wax.  As well as standard classes young workers are given actual work by tending the hive gardens, working on interior hive construction and the construction of varies items used inside the hive.

Of course everything is done under heavy supervision of the elder workers as they can’t afford to have things destroyed due to an inexperienced worker.  However it is necessary as it’s considered too dangerous for young bees to leave the hive.

Warriors
Warriors are educated in much the same way as workers, their educated in large classes by elder warriors inside the hive.  Their educated on all aspects of being warriors as well as learning battle and guard tactics that are commonly used.  As well as standard classes warriors are trained in training rooms with wax weapons by skilled warriors.  Finally at age 2 warriors are required to wear armor at all times except when their sleeping.  This is to let their bodies adjust to the weight of the armor and to get used to moving around in it so they’re not hindered by it.

Queens

Young queens begin their education in running the hive, how it’s maintained, how it works and how to deal with various situations.  They also attend special personal training classes given to them by members of the queens guard.  This line of queens training continues up until age 6.

Ages 4 to 6

At age 4 young warrior and worker honey bees are finally permitted to leave the hive but never without supervision from elders.  Queens however are not permitted to leave the hive unless they are given special permission by a queen over the age of 6 and take an escort of queen’s guards with them.

Workers
Young workers are taken along to forage flowers and build exterior structures such as guard posts.  Their also permitted to help construct outside parts of the hive that require expansion and honey storage facilities.

Warriors
Young warriors accompany more experienced warriors on guard duty for workers as well as standard patrols and guarding outside the hive.  In some instances young warriors are allowed to accompany scouts to learn skills they may need.

Ages 6+

By this point honey bees bodies are more or less almost fully matured and begin to stop aging.  Workers and warriors are allowed to leave the hive without supervision and their allowed to perform all tasks of their class.  Queens are allowed to the leave the hive without permission but only if they take an escort of queens guards with them.

Queens
At the age of 6 queens will be given the official status of an inactive queen.  If there is no other inactive queen they will essentially govern the hive and make important decisions about everything.  Should there be another inactive queen the eldest will share the duties with any other queens but has authority over the others.  Should there be a conflict of interest the eldest will ultimately decide the best course of action.

Queens will remain inactive and continue to perform the duties of an inactive queen for most of their lives.  If the active queen dies the eldest inactive queen will sense this and her body will automatically start her reproducing making her an active queen.

Characteristics and Traits

Below is a small overview of the various abilities honey bees possess.

Antennae

Honey bees are able to use their antennae for several different things.  It allows them to notice changes in atmosphere, wind, pick up vibrations in the air and sense each other.

By using their antennae honey bees are able to pick up coming changes in weather or sense approaching predators.

The most noticeable use however is to sense each other.  By picking up pheromones of other honey bees they can navigate their way around the land and make their way back to the hive.  Unfortunately several creatures on Euphoria such as spiders release pheromones of their own which block the honey bees.  Because of this honey bees usually avoid areas heavily infested with spiders but should one become lost inside they can be extremely hard to locate.

Bodily Secretions

Most bodily secretions of honey bees contain trace amounts of honey.

Vaginal secretions contain large amounts of honey making them golden in color, thick and pleasing to taste.

Tears contain small traces of honey leaving them liquidly but golden in color with a faint taste of honey.

Blood like tears contains small traces of honey, although it remains liquidly and is dark orange it has a faint taste of honey.

Cell Regeneration

Unlike humans honey bees have an absolutely flawless cell regeneration system in their bodies.  Their cell regeneration is so good they can regenerate entire limbs and there will be no scarring what so ever.  Despite how their regeneration is it still takes some time to take effect.  Scratches, nicks or cuts will heal over in a few hours.

Things such as deep cuts can take a couple days depending on the amount and the seriousness.  Broken bones will heal over in about a week providing it’s not stressed.  Finally the regeneration of limbs takes several weeks depending on the limb, for instance a finger will regenerate much faster than say an arm.

Flexibility

Unlike humans honey bees have extremely flexible bones and bodies.  It is physically possible for the average honey bee to bend her backside back until it touches her head.  Likewise it’s possible for them to bend it forwards until their crotch is pressed against their face.  This is actually a common practice and is generally used to masturbate by orally servicing themselves.

Flying

The wings on the back of honey bees are rather fragile but are extremely powerful.  Honey bees are able fly at rather high speeds and their wings provide enough power to lift 3 times their own weight.  However handling such weight is unlikely to happen due to their physical limitations.  Therefore the most common use of the excess weight is to help fly injured honey bees back to the hive that are either unable to fly or badly injured.

Honey Production

One of the primary abilities of all honey bees is honey production.  Regardless if their worker, warrior or queen all honey bees produce honey as a byproduct of eating as early as the age of 2.  Workers however have a heavy emphasis on honey production so they eat more and produce almost twice as much as warriors and queens.

After being eaten flowers are broken down by the honey bees bodies.  All the nutrients are extracted, some of it goes to sustaining their bodies while the rest bottles up as honey in their breasts which needs to be expelled to avoid discomfort.  All remains are expelled as their urine or excrement.

The expelled honey is primarily used to feed new born honey bees as it’s liquid and high in nutrients.  A small amount of honey is traded to an insectoid race on the planet surface that has a neutral standing with the honey bees.  While all remaining honey is stored for the winter, inside a section of the hive in massive towers that house hundreds of thousands of liters of honey.

Honey bees breasts contain a small tissue inside that blocks honey from being expelled.  This tissue remains in place unless the nipples are sucked on or the breasts are squeezed near the nipple.  If neither happens the breasts will simply continue to fill with honey until they are so engorged they either explode or are relieved of their pressure.

Most honey bees go to empty their breasts once they start becoming firm and the pressure begins to hurt slightly.  For a honey bee to have her breasts explode they would need to expand to the size of watermelons until the skin is stretched so thin that it simply cannot stretch any further.  With such high pressure though it would be so painful the honey bee would be in constant tears.  It is also very unlikely to ever happen unless a honey bee is held captive and isn’t allowed to relieve her breasts.

Immune System

Honey bees have a fantastic immune system.  They’re immune to almost every poison in existence including their own.  As a side effect of their poison immunity tranquilizer drugs are 5 times less effective than on other species.

When it comes to diseases their immune system is top notch, despite the fact that their immune to almost all diseases any disease that does infect them won’t last for long.  Whenever a honey bee contracts a disease their body shuts down, honey production and in queens reproduction stops.  Their energy also drops drastically as all nutrients and energy is redirected to fight the disease.  Once a disease has been destroyed their immune system builds up antibodies in mass numbers to prevent ever being re-infected with the disease before their body goes back to normal.

The immune system in queens passes on immunities to the honey bees that she gives birth to.  Because of this the queen is purposely infected with diseases seen as a large threat or a nuisance.  However honey bees never ever purposely infect a queen unless an inactive queen is around to take her place should things go bad.

Sticky limbs

The bottom of honey bees feet and the palm of their hands have special skin.  This skin allows them to stick to surfaces and maintain their balance even while going against gravity.  Workers use this ability all the time by walking on walls or hanging upside down while building or hunting for flowers.  While warriors and queens also possess the ability they tend to use it less often.

Stinger

All honey bees have a sharp stinger but depending on their type it has different uses.  Although a common use for it regardless of type is defense against hostile attackers.

Workers
Workers produce wax as a byproduct of eating which is stored inside a sack located under the skin at the base of their stinger.  This wax is expelled through the stinger as a sticky paste with clay like qualities.  Workers use this wax to construct sections of the hive and create various objects such as chairs and beds.

Because of their flexible bodies they are able to aim their stinger over a section to expel their wax or expel it directly onto their own hands.  Once the wax has had time to dry it becomes as hard as cement but remains very light in weight.

Warriors and Queens
Warriors and queens produce poison as a byproduct of eating which is stored inside a sack located under the skin at the base of their stinger.  This poison is incredibly lethal, a few drops in a cut is sufficient to kill an attacker up to 3 times the size of a honey bee.  Luckily honey bees are completely immune to poison produced by warriors and queens so even if their injected with it or drink it no harm will come of them.

Due to the lethality of their poison warriors expel poison onto their hands and coat their weapons with it prior to engaging enemies.  The poison itself never really dries and doesn’t seem to lose its potency, but after an hour or more in open air it thickens becoming like soft jelly.

Temperament and Nature

Honey bees were specifically created to be good natured and kind especially towards their creators.  Unlike humans honey bees work together as a hive society to reach their goals therefore they always act friendly towards each other and help each other out whenever needed.  Despite being good natured honey bees are extremely aggressive towards those who harm part of their hive and they are quick to retaliate in large numbers to eliminate the threat.

Crime

Unlike in human society crime is almost nonexistent among honey bees.  There’s the occasional theft by greedy little honey bees after sweeter flowers or items others may have but these are quickly dealt with and punished with undesirable work.  Violent crimes such as rape and assault don’t exist.  Such crimes should they ever actually occur are punished with death.

Queens Guard

The queen’s guard is an elite group of 1,000 to 2,000 warriors that have been branded as the best of the best, their sole purpose is the queen’s protection.  The queen’s guard is always stationed around the active queen in the nursery area of the hive.  They also take up guard positions around the inactive queen no matter where she is in the hive.  If a queen ever leaves the hive she is required to take an escort of at least 50 warriors of the queen’s guard.

It is considered to be an honor to be part of the queen’s guard and the training to become one is ruthless.  Warriors selected to become part of the queens guard train with the top warriors of the queen’s guard almost 10 hours a day.  Their trained in every form of weapon, tactic, strategy and trained to tolerate pain to high levels.

Most members of the queen’s guard are considered to be 100 times stronger than a normal warrior and are capable of taking down enemies 20 times their size.  Should a member of the queen’s guard engage an enemy they will not stop fighting until it is physically impossible for them to move any part of their body.

Food

Honey bees have a taste for flowers and pretty much only flowers.  Some plants have sweeter flowers but bloom slower than the others so their usually sought after first.  There’s always more than enough food though as the large flowers that grow on most plants grow quickly and provide plenty of food.

Baby honey bees are fed fresh honey directly from workers that work as wet nurses for the hive.

Honey bees are literally incapable of getting fat.  If a honey bee overeats all excess food is processed into honey.

During the winter months honey bees survive off stored honey and fresh flowers from the hive garden.

Hive Garden

Although the bulk of the flowers are gathered outside the hive a small portion of it comes from the hive itself.  A section of the hive houses a large mass of flower plants that are carefully cultivated by worker bees.  The plants are given sunlight filtered through the hive ceiling and water from a stream the hive is situated over.

The hive gardens are cultivated and kept at all times through the year so their able to yield food at all times.  During the winter months the hive garden serves as a massive provider for food for the population.

Planet Seasons

The home planet of the Honey Bees more or less only has 2 seasons.  The first 175 days of the planet are summer where temperature is a comfortable medium where the honey bees can be outside the hive naked at all times without getting cold.

After summer is 75 days of winter, the change between the 2 seasons comes quite sudden, taking mere days for the full change.  The sudden and short winter is actually caused by a large nearby planet that essentially blocks out the sun during Euphoria’s rotation.  Although normally the planet would be in total darkness a small blue star some distance from the planet Euphoria provides enough light to continue day and night cycles.

The small star however isn’t capable of providing the kind of heat Euphoria’s sun normally gives out, so during these 75 days of winter the planet is blanketed in heavy snow with temperatures ranging anywhere between -30°C to -100°C

Once winter begins Honey Bees never leave the hive except for a select few that continue to scout the surrounding area of the hive so their aware of any attacks or danger.  For the most part Honey Bees hibernate during the winter months like most life on Euphoria.

Work hours are almost nonexistent and training hours are cut in more than half for all Honey Bees as they sleep almost 25 hours a day.  During the winter months Honey Bees draw food from the massive honey supply and the specially tended hive gardens.

Work Duties and Free Time

Honey bees have their duties assigned to them by worker/warrior group leaders.  However honey bees do not work every waking moment of their lives, they actually have a rather loose schedule.  They generally work 3 days and have 2 days off.  Each work day consists of about 10 hours of work leaving an additional 5 hours for free time and 15 for sleeping.

These work hours are pretty consistent and rarely change except through the winter.  The main reason for change is winter is quickly approaching or there’s a major requirement that needs to be fulfilled such as a food shortage or major extensions of the hive.

During free time honey bees enjoy relaxing, playing games with each other, talking, exploring Euphoria or getting intimate with themselves, their partner or pets.

Weapons and Armor

Honey bees have no natural weapons or armor other than their stinger.  A bug race living on Euphoria however has extremely tough carapaces which are as heavy as steel and 50 times as strong as titanium.  Weapons made out of the carapaces or broken bug parts are capable of cutting through most metal like a knife in hot butter.

Because of the usefulness of the carapaces honey bees have long since formed a neutral agreement with the bug race.  In exchange for fresh honey, honey bees get bug carapaces that are used to forge weapons and armor for warrior bees.

Armor

Due to the warm climate honey bee armor is usually rather open.  Warrior armor can consist of a breastplate, leggings, boots and gloves.  Normally armor is black but the design and color can vary slightly with rank.

The breastplate sits around their shoulders, neckline and stops several inches above their belly.  The breastplate can be unclasped easily and has an open section on the back for the base of the warriors wings.  On the front it has small holes for their nipples so they can feed other honey bees or expel honey without removing their armor.

The leggings sits around the waist and thighs with a small hole for the stinger at the back and like the breastplate it can be unclasped easily.  Unlike one would expect the leggings does not have a plate for between the legs which leaves a honey bees crotch open.  This allows warriors to squat to urinate and expel excrement without having to remove their armor.  It also allows warriors to receive oral services or be penetrated without trouble.

Although warriors can also wear boots and gloves most warriors don’t.  This is because doing so removes their ability to cling to surfaces.  If a warrior expects to walk a long distance however they will most likely opt to wear boots to prevent injuring their feet.

Housing

All honey bees naturally live inside the hive in their own personal houses.  These houses are usually built as small apartments in massive wax skyscrapers.  Most if not all honey bees live alone unless they have a partner.

Pets

Many different types of creatures on the planet Euphoria make excellent and caring pets.  The hive has no rules against pets other than the fact that they should not cause trouble for others.

Pets like with humans are generally kept for company, usually when a honey bee is single.  Of course some honey bees enjoy sexual relations with their pets with or without a partner.

Partners

Due to all honey bees being female naturally there is only one sexual preference they have when it comes to their own race.  However a portion of the population finds sexual relief and satisfaction from the male creatures of Euphoria even going as far to keep them as pets/lovers.  This of course is seen as normal behavior and is not considered taboo or bad.

Honey bees are free to remain single or find a partner if they so wish.  Although there is no marriage, when two honey bees have gotten together their considered a couple.  Once the two are a couple nobody ever interferes or sleeps with another’s partner without first getting permission to do so.

If a honey bee finds a partner they usually move into an apartment together and have regular sex to relieve their sexual and work related tension.  As a couple they can arrange to work together while working for the hive and usually spend a lot of free time together.

Despite there being different types of honey bees when it comes to partners there are no boundaries.  However due to the nature of warrior bees their considered to be the more dominate than workers so in some ways they are considered males.  Regardless of this fact the partner and the type of bee one might pick is solely based on their personality and personal preference.

Sex and Masturbation

When it comes to sex and masturbation honey bees are generally very open with each other.  Talking about ones sex life isn’t much of a big deal but is generally kept between friends.  Sex and masturbation itself is rarely done in public despite the fact that it isn’t considered offensive.

Young honey bees are taught everything about sex and masturbation as early as the age of 2 or 3.  While conversations of sex and masturbation are generally kept between adults it’s not uncommon to discuss it with younger ones if their having problems or are curious about something.  Most importantly there is no age bars on sex and masturbation.  Providing they are consenting an adult honey bee may have sex with a honey bee even if their only 2 or 3 years old.

One of the most common practices of masturbation for honey bees is to bend themselves over and orally service themselves.

Reproduction

Although all honey bees have a vagina and a womb, warriors and workers have no eggs to reproduce because of this queens are the only ones capable of reproducing.

The reproduction of a queen does not require a mate of any kind nor do they start reproducing at any specific time.  Queens bodies work off emotions and knowledge of the hive.  If an inactive queen is the only queen in the hive she will immediately begin to reproduce to keep the hive active.

However should there already be an active queen the inactive queen will not become active until no other queen is active.  She will bide her time and take care of the hive by keeping order rather than becoming active and reproducing.  Should a queen be on her own on a different planet she will swing into reproduction should she find a suitable location for a hive although rather slowly at first.

It’s unlikely but it can happen that 2 queens will become active at once.  This is usually the case with twin queen births.  Twins bodies are much closer than others and if one becomes an active queen the other will almost certainly follow suit.  Once a queen is active she will remain active until the last year of her life where her ability to reproduce will dry up and she will spend the remaining year of her life however she sees fit.  Normally the queen will spend her life quietly doing as she pleases rather than looking after the hive.

Ordinarily a queen will birth 1 honey bee every 3 hours with a loose ratio of 2 workers to every warrior.  However if a hive is new and there isn’t the hive power to take care of so many babies the queens reproduction will be slowed.  In cases of a new hive her reproduction can become as slow as 1-10 babies a year.  Once size of the hive grows she will slowly swing into full reproduction.

It’s also important to note that more than 1 honey bee can be born on occasion, such of the case of twins although this is a fairly rare event.  In regards to queen births their much different than worker or warriors.  Usually only 1 queen is born, this usually happens about half way through the queen’s life span which normally is when she first starts as an active queen.  In the case of twins or in the case of lack of new queens more than 1 can be born.

Honey bee babies remain inside the womb for a total of 30 hours before their born.  On the planet Euphoria this is exactly 1 day, a queen at full production will birth 10 honey bees in a single day.  Although this may seem very little it works out to be 2250 honey bees a year.

Death

Death comes rather sudden for honey bees but they’re able to sense when their in their last year of life.  In the last year a honey bees body slowly breaks down, the cells become unable to handle the stress of constantly regenerating and maintaining a perfect healthy, youthful body.  Their organs, brain and heart quickly lose their functionality as the cells break down.  In the end they pass on peacefully in their sleep.  Dead bodies are cremated and their ashes are spread across Euphoria.
