Black and White - by LFox (c) 2008

(Based on the incredibly awesome game Black and White and it’s not so great sequel Black and White 2)

This is the story of a goddess called Sylia who’s born into the world from the prayers of a woman to save her village.  It starts off with her as a newborn god with childlike innocence and with the help of her good and evil personalities who have spiritual forms outside of her body she’s nurtured into an adult.  Although with her evil personality being so sweet and loving to her all the time does her good side really have any chance of making her a kind god?

Chapter 01: The Birth of Sylia

Long long ago there were gods but unlike today they affected the course of people’s lives and were actually seen within the physical realm.  They could give life and take it; they could help people or kill them.  It was really a matter of choice up to the god whether to be good or evil, for the better or the worse.

The way these gods existed is they were once called upon for help by the people.  From then on they would be there to watch and intervene as they saw fit.  The god’s only requirement to live was that they had a group of people to believe or worship them.  It didn’t matter if it was one person or a million as long as someone believed in them and worshipped them they would live on.

The gods drew their power from the people through worship, fear or sacrifices.  This power could then be used to create miracles of all kinds such as water, fire and manipulating the land itself.  All of these miracles helped or destroyed people through the god’s actions.

The gods themselves were never really alone.  Their consciousness both good and evil were alive with them at all times advising them and offering them knowledge.  They also had creatures with them that were imbued from young on to have their power.  This power was not quite as much as the gods themselves but it was more than enough to help the people or harm them.

The creatures usually grew from the average size of a human to over a hundred feet tall.  The creatures were not all that great on intelligence instead they were quite dependant on their gods.  They watched their actions and followed their examples.  Cruel gods would have cruel creature, kind gods would have kind creature.

Now begins the story, back when people still believed in gods and worshipped them.  Back when war with nations was only a stone’s throw away over a loaf of bread.

In the once green mountainous area stands a village known as Tilna.  The land around it is dry and cracked with massive fields of dying grain.  The nearby lake has long since dried up and the animals around are skin and bones as they slowly begin to starve to death.

The few hundred people that live in dilapidated houses made from cracked stone and aging wood squabble over the most simple of things, food and water.  Fights break out constantly among the populace over nothing as their bitter, angry, hungry and desperate.

One day a lone woman around the age of 18 wearing tattered rags leaves the village to enter the peace of the desolate wasteland.  There she drops to her knees praying for hours in front of a large dried out tree.  When her voice is almost hoarse from praying and her body is blue from the cold a small light twinkles in the heavens.

The light flies toward the earth turning to a massive ball of fire which quickly crashes to the ground like a meteor leaving a massive crater in front of the woman.  The woman gazes at the smoking crater and slowly takes several steps forward coming to the edge.  A hand goes to her mouth and tears form in her eyes from relief at the sight in front of her.

There lying in the crater unconscious is a beautiful naked young female god born from the woman’s prayers.  She looks no older than her early 20s with flawless skin and a short height of 4’7ft with long blond hair all the way down to her waist.  Beautiful forest green eyes and an extremely beautiful slender figure with very small B cup sized breasts and a beautifully formed hairless crotch.

After several moments the young god slowly rouses and stands up looking around curiously.  She notices the mortal woman’s vacant stare who reaches a hand out toward her.  The young god closes her eyes, covers her body with her hands and lets out a loud shriek which sends out a heavy shockwave causing the woman to fly backward several dozen feet from the crater.

She slowly opens her eyes and looks around once again with the curiosity of a new born.  Seeing no trace of the woman her hands fall to her sides exposing her body.  Suddenly the young god tenses up and her eyes go wide as she becomes paralyzed for several moments.  During this time two naked transparent women identical to herself shift out of her body.

Both of these women look exactly like her in every way except one has blue eyes with white hair and the other red eyes with black hair.  One good, one evil, each a part of her and a physical consciousness to help or hinder her.  The two women look at the young god lovingly with smiles.  The young god looks at them oddly not knowing what to make of them until the black haired one speaks up.

“Hello, your names Sylia”

Sylia looks at her curiously.  “It is?”

The black haired woman nods.  “Yes, you may not know it yet but you’re a goddess.  You were born just moments ago when someone prayed for help.  I’m Kali I’m your evil side.  And this”.  She gestures a hand toward the white haired woman.  “This is Linna she’s your good side.  It’s difficult for new gods to handle everything at once the instant their born so we exist to help you and teach you.  To share your responsibilities and help you make the right decisions”

“Respon-si-bilities?”

Linna smiles.  “Yes responsibilities.  Each of us holds vast knowledge but because of misuse in the past we will only provide you with it as we see fit so you can grow and learn by yourself.  Kali and I cannot interfere with the world because in truth we don’t really exist we’re merely an extension of your mind”

Sylia looks at her two advisors blankly in silence.

“I don’t think she got it all but she’s only a child so you can’t expect too much” says Kali.

Linna smiles and shakes her head.  “It doesn’t matter.  What’s most important right now is to get her some clothes and get her to start helping the people that called her here”

“What are…clothes?” asks Sylia.

“She’s a cute thing” says Kali with a smile.  “Clothes Sylia, are a way of covering your body and keeping you warm.  We can’t have a naked goddess running around because I think it might cause too much trouble”

“Where can I get some then?”

“You’re a goddess you can make anything you want happen.  Now hold still I’m going to show you how to do it”

Kali strokes Sylia’s hair gently then gently lays her fingers on her forehead.  A surge of bright light sparkles where Kali’s fingertips are touching Sylia and after several moments of this she stops and removes her hand with a smile.

Sylia stares at her in surprise.  “What happened?  How come, I know what clothes are now and how to make them?”

“As we said, we hold all the information you need but since you’re a child we can only give it to you in small portions so you learn and grow”

“I, think I understand”

“Why don’t you try making yourself some clothes now?” asks Linna.

Sylia nods.  “Okay”

Sylia closes her eyes tightly after several moments her body begins shining with bright white light.  Slowly the light shifts taking on a shape as clothes start to form over her lithe body.  When it’s finished the light fades leaving her wearing a green loincloth skirt that hangs down to her kneecaps and since she has no underwear on her naked pussy can be seen completely from the sides.

For her top she has a green flimsy material that’s loosely wrapped around her chest.  As soon as the clothes appear on Sylia they also appear on Kali in raven black and on Linna in pure white.

Linna looks down over herself in shock and tries to feebly cover herself with her hands.  “Uh, this is…a bit revealing”.  Her gaze quickly turns to Kali.

Kali stares at her.  “What?  You think I gave her the idea?  I just taught her what clothes are, she picked it herself”

Linna glares at her angrily.  “You expect me to believe that?”

Sylia looks up at her two advisors almost fearfully.  “Is, is this bad?”

Kali shakes her head.  “No its fine”.  She turns her gaze to Linna.  “Right?”

Linna looks at Sylia’s innocent fearful face and sighs heavily.  “Y-yeah I, I suppose”

A female voice suddenly begins speaking nearby.  “My prayers have been answered.  Finally a god has come to help us”

The three of them turn and gaze up at the top of the crater where the woman from earlier is looking down at them with teary eyes and a smiling face.

“So she’s the person who called you here” says Linna.

“Listen very carefully I’ll tell you what to do” says Kali.  She moves closer to Sylia and begins whispering in her ear.

Several moments later Sylia speaks up clearly and confidently.  “Why have you summoned me here?”

The woman quickly drops to her knees and bows.  “My name is Bethany and my village Tilna is in desperate need of help.  Our crops are dying, our lake has dried up and the animals around us are dropping dead from starvation.  We have no food, no water and everyone fights to try to get just the little bit they need to survive”

Kali whispers into Sylia’s ear again and she quickly speaks up once more.  “I’ll provide you with rain to refill your lake and renew your crops.  From then on I’ll watch over you.  In return your people must worship me and build a temple for me to reside in”

Bethany nods vigorously.  “Of course goddess”

Kali quickly whispers into Sylia’s ear yet again.  “You may call me Sylia.  I will select a site for my temple to be built and notify you where I want it by a signal.  For now I’ll provide your village with the rain and food you need.  Go back and tell everyone about me I will make an appearance to all of them shortly”

“Of course I’ll go right away”

Bethany quickly stands up and runs off back towards the village.

“Did I do okay?” asks Sylia.

Kali smiles.  “You did very well I’m surprised at how well you listened to what I said”

Linna glares at Kali with a cold expression.  “A little too well if you ask me.  Just why are you trying to help people anyway?”

“Good or evil she still need followers and their no good to her dead”

“Well anyway I guess she better to work on the food and rain she promised them”

Sylia looks at her advisors nervously.  “Umm, how do I do that?”

“Just Relax” says Kali.

Once again Kali places her hand on Sylia’s forehead and bright light sparkles where her fingertips touch.  After several moments she removes her hand and smiles at Sylia.

“I’ve given you enough knowledge to make an appearance to the people, provide them with food and water and of course move around quickly” says Kali.

Sylia looks at her nervously.  “So, now I should go to the village and do that right?”

Kali nods.  “Yes, don’t worry though because we’ll be coming and we’ll always be with you”

Sylia smiles.  “Okay”

“Let’s go” says Linna.

Kali gently grabs a hold of Sylia’s hand and Linna grabs her other.  Together they smile at Sylia softly and after several moments all three of them slowly float up into the air.  As they slowly rise up Sylia looks around with wide curious eyes as everything slowly shrinks into the distance and the landscape for miles around becomes visible.

The land itself is a large island about fifty miles across with mostly dry wasteland with the exception of a small portion of the island on the opposite end of the isle from the village which is lush with vegetation, a waterfall and even a large forest filled with dozens of creatures.  After several moments of looking around Linna notices the village far off in the distance so she taps Sylia’s shoulder gently and points toward it.

“Look, over there’s the village” says Linna.

“It looks so tiny” says Sylia.

“That’s only from this distance in actual fact it’s a lot bigger.  Now come on lets go over there”

The three of them glide through the air fast and weightlessly toward the village.  Within mere seconds they arrive overhead with a view of the dirt streets filled with the bustling activity of the populace.  Even now dozens of people are fighting amongst each other over a small bucket of water or a tiny strip of bread.

“Ready?” asks Kali.

Sylia nods.  In the sky overhead Sylia’s face appears as a transparent form as large as a massive mountain.  “Everyone stop your bickering NOW”.

Sylia’s voice rings out across the island causing the very land itself to shake from the sheer volume.  Immediately everyone stops what they’re doing and turns their gaze to the sky to look up at the voice.  Some of the adults are speechless while others stare in awe and small children clutch their parents tightly as they look fearfully at the god overhead.

“I was called here by you people.  Here’s some food and rain to help stop your famine”

Sylia’s hands become visible in the sky overhead and as she spreads them out over the empty granary a yellowish white light begins flickering overhead between them.  After several moments grain begins pouring from the light not slowly but by the bucketfuls filling the entire granary and the ground around it with thousands of pounds of grain.

Satisfied with the amount Sylia’s hands disappear from the sky and dark clouds quickly form overhead blocking out the sunlight.  After a few flashes of thunder rain begins to pour heavily over the entire island.  As the rain hits the ground though instead of just making it wet it begins to actually rejuvenate the land turning brown grass to lush green, dirt to meadows and dying stalks of grain to rich bountiful crops.  The people stare at the rain blankly and its effects unable to respond until several moments a massive cheer erupts throughout the town.

“I’ve given you food and rain in return I would like you to build me a temple.  Over there on that hill should do nicely” says Sylia.

Sylia’s hand appears in the sky pointing towards a clearing on a hill overlooking the town.  The rain over the area quickly stops and the clouds move away leaving a brilliant shine of sunlight beaming down over the area.  Fresh green grass quickly begins sprouting covering the area in a lush green field and slowly a transparent hue of a massive stone temple appears on the ground.

“I’ve made a transparent image of how I would like the temple.  If you don’t want to give me this little in return I will take the rain and food back and you people can get back to your bickering”

The people gasp at her words and shudder in fear at the thought of losing what they’d just been given after needing it for so long.  As Sylia’s face slowly fades from the sky the people quickly run begin running around hysterically grabbing tools, wood, stone and anything else they need for the construction of her temple.  Meanwhile back in the sky overhead Sylia and her advisors are watching.

“You did a wonderful job” says Kali.

“So the people are going to build me a temple now right?” asks Sylia.

Kali nods.  “Yes, yes they are”

Linna glares at Kali angrily.  “Why did you have her say she’d take the rain and food back if they didn’t do it?”

Kali grins at her mischievously.  “Just a little incentive to build it.  Besides I wouldn’t worry their already scrambling to get her temple built as quickly as possible”.  Linna’s expression softens from her words and she quickly goes silent.  “Now then, while their busy building your temple why don’t we go pick out a creature for you?”

Linna’s eyes spring wide open.  “WHAT?  NOW?  ARE YOU CRAZY?  She was born less than an hour ago and you’re already talking about getting her a creature?  She doesn’t know how to look after a creature let alone herself”

“It’ll be fine she has us to help her so what’s there to worry about?”

“It’s just too soon”

“What’s a creature?” asks Sylia.

Linna sighs heavily.  “See, it’s far too soon”

Kali turns to Sylia with a smile.  “A creature Sylia is a pet.  It can be anything from a mouse to an elephant.  All gods have a creature to help them do things and to keep them company”

“Really?  So can I get a creature?” asks Sylia.

“Of course you can”.  She quickly turns her gaze to Linna.  “Right?”

Linna hangs her head down in defeat.  “I, I guess so.  I still say this is a bad idea though”

Kali takes Sylia’s hand and the three of them quickly fly down towards the island and land in the dense woods.  The woods are filled with massive pine trees and the sound of birds chirping echoes around the area.  The ground is covered in thick dried leaves and broken twigs and branches.

Suddenly a twig snaps nearby making the three of them quickly spin around to check the noise.  There standing on the broken twig is a tiny little male wolf cub about six weeks old.  Its grey fur coat is huge and fluffy and its light brown eyes have such a cute innocent look to them.

Sylia runs over to the wolf and kneels down in front of it on her hands and knees to look at it.  Her advisors watch with amusement as the two lean toward each other until their noses touch.  As soon as they do though they both flinch away in surprise and look at each other.

Sylia points at the wolf and looks back at them.  “What’s this thing?  It’s cute”

Kali giggles at her innocent question.  She walks over to Sylia and kneels down next to her.  “This Sylia is a baby wolf.  He can be your creature if you want”

Sylia looks up at her excitedly.  “He can?”

Kali nods.  “Mmm hmm”

“Yay”.  Sylia throws her arms out and grabs the wolf then hugs him tightly in her arms against her squashing his little face into her breasts.

Linna glares at the pair of them angrily.  “Hold on there’s no way she’s having a wolf as her creature.  Especially not her first creature”

Sylia looks at Linna with a sour face.  “Why not?”

“It’s her decision not yours” says Kali.

“It is?” asks Sylia.

Kali nods.  “Of course it is it’s your creature we’re just here to help you and give advice”

Linna folds her arms angrily.  “It’s a bad idea wolves are far too aggressive”

Sylia glares at her coldly.  “I want it though, it’s cute”

“It’ll be fine besides she really loves the little thing” says Kali.

“But…” stutters Linna.

Sylia quickly cuts her off.  “I’m keeping it”

Linna glares at her.  “Nothing better happen”

Kali ignores her and strokes the little wolf’s head.  “Let’s make him your creature shall we?”

“How do I do that?” asks Sylia.

Kali smiles.  “I’ll show you”

Linna shakes her head.  “Oh no you don’t.  I’ll show her”

Kali stares at her innocently.  “What?  You don’t trust me?”

Linna glares back at her coldly.  “Damn right I don’t”

Linna walks over to Sylia and kneels down next to her.  After several moments Linna removes her hand and Sylia looks at them in surprise.

“So…that’s what I do?” asks Sylia.

Linna nods.  “Yes”

Sylia sits the wolf cub down then stands up and backs away slightly with her arms held out in front of her.  A stream of white light quickly flows out from her hands into the wolf cub.  As it does the cub slowly begins to grow in size and its body begins to change shape allowing it to walk on its hind legs and use its front paws like hands.

Before long the transformation is completed and the wolf cub stands at almost 12ft tall if it were to stand fully upright.  The wolf cub itself looks quite humanoid somewhat like a werewolf in appearance only it’s fur is extremely thick and fluffy just as before.  The wolf cub looks at the three of them with a giant goofy grin and after several moments Sylia runs over, flies into the air and hugs the gigantic beast around the neck with a bright smile.

“My very own creature” says Sylia.

Kali giggles at the sight of the two.  “Well he certainly didn’t lose any of that cuteness”

“Y-yeah I guess so” says Linna.  “So Sylia what are you gonna call him?”

Sylia turns and looks at her blankly.  “Call him?”

“Well you have a name don’t you?  He needs one too”

Sylia goes deep in thought then smiles and hugs her creature again.  “How about fuzzy”

Kali bursts out into laughter while Linna just stares at her blankly in disbelief, after several moments though she can’t help but smile at her childlike innocence.

“I think he needs a better name than fuzzy” says Linna.

Kali quickly calms herself and goes into thought for a moment.  “Hmm how about Lethian?”

“Lethian?” asks Sylia.  She goes into thought a moment then smiles.  “Okay”

Linna nods in approval.  “Lethian sounds like a nice name”

“Now that you’ve got a creature and he has a proper name why don’t we go check on the villagers to see how the construction of your temples doing?” says Kali.

Sylia looks at her confused.  “My temple?  Will it be done?”

Linna shakes her head.  “It’s far too early they only just started on it.  It’ll probably take several days for them to complete it”

“So?” says Kali.  “That doesn’t mean Sylia can’t drop by to make a quick appearance and provide them with some raw materials they need to speed things up”

Linna thinks about her words and nods.  “I see, not a bad idea”

Kali smiles.  “Sylia we need you to come with us and do something quickly”

Sylia pouts.  “But I wanta stay here and play with Lethian”

“Sylia this is very important” says Linna.

“It’ll only take a few minutes and Lethian’s coming with us” says Kali.  “Once you’ve done this tiny thing you can play with him for the rest of the day”

Sylia’s eyes widen.  “Really?”

Kali nods.  “Mmm hmm.  Now will you come with us quickly?”

“Okay”

“Good girl”

Sylia hops down on the ground and walks over to them.  Kali strokes her hair lovingly with a smile then leans in a whispers in her ear.  When she’s done she quickly teaches Sylia what she needs to know.

“Think you can do all that?” asks Kali.

Sylia nods.  She walks over to Lethian and grabs a hold of one of his big paws with her tiny hand.  Their bodies shine bright white for a moment before breaking down into thousands of tiny white particles and as they disappear so do her two advisors.

The four of them appear at the site of Sylia’s temple where the entire town is working tirelessly together planning things out and constructing it.  Despite that though there’s nothing more than a very basic frame completed not much higher than fifteen or twenty feet.

It takes the villagers several moments to take notice of Sylia’s arrival but when they do they all stop working and stare up at her giant oversized wolf cub of a creature.  As previously instructed Sylia steps forward and spreads her hands up in the air.  A yellowish white light begins flickering high overhead in the sky.

After several moments large boards of chopped wood and slabs of white marble start appearing from the light and falling into neat stacks on the ground.  The people watch in awe as she creates the resources out of nothing and when there’s enough for the entire temples construction the light fades away and she lowers her hands.

Sylia turns and looks over at the villagers.  “This wood and marble should be more than enough for my temple’s construction.  I’ll return later to check on your progress until then goodbye”

With that Sylia turns around and takes Lethian’s paw in her hand.  Before anyone can say or do anything they disappear in a flash of white particles.  The four of them appear a distance away in a massive lush green meadow with small flowers growing about the area.  Overhead the clouds are slowly drifting away and the rain has stopped leaving the area fresh and moist.  Sylia turns and walks over to Kali looking somewhat uncertain at her.

“Did I do alright?” asks Sylia.

Kali smiles.  “You did very good now you can go play with Lethian if you want”

Sylia smiles and throws her hands in the air.  “Yay”

“But first”

Sylia stares at her with a sulky face.  “But what?”.  Kali smiles and quickly teaches her something new again.  As she pulls her hand away Sylia smiles brightly.  “Thanks”

Sylia turns around and spreads her hands out in front of her.  A small orb of glowing white light quickly appears between them and quickly grows to the size of a large boulder.  Linna watches nervously waiting to see what she’s doing and almost falls over with shock as the orb of light changes into a brightly rainbow colored beach ball.  Sylia catches the ball as it falls from the air and turns to Lethian with a smile.

“Come on Lethian let’s play” says Sylia.

Lethian walks over to her and bends down to inspect the beach ball.  While she’s busy trying to coax Lethian into playing with her Kali and Linna begin arguing.

“What did you teach her besides the wood, marble and that, that beach ball?” asks Linna.

Kali waves a hand in front of her.  “Nothing, nothing okay?  I only did the beach ball because I promised she could play and this way she can.  I mean just look at her”

They turn to look at Sylia who by now is busy running around with Lethian chasing her as she throws the ball around.  As they run around playing Sylia has a massive smile on her face and is busy giggling like a child.

“See she’s happy now” says Kali.

Linna nods.  “Your right she does seem happy now.  She’s like a little kid”

“Aren’t all new borns?”

Linna nods.  “I suppose so”

“She’ll grow up mentally in time but there’s nothing wrong with having fun even if she is a god”

“I suppose your right”

Kali and Linna sit down and watch as Sylia continues to play.  Sylia’s standing in front of Lethian with a bright smile on her face meanwhile she has the giant ball hiding behind her back in her hands.  Lethian looks at her with a giant grin and leans to the side to look behind her.  Seeing the ball he jumps on top of her half squashing her but since she’s a god she doesn’t get hurt by such a meager thing.

As the ball rolls away slightly he sniffs at her face a few times before starting to lick her causing her to be thrown into a fit of laughter.  After several minutes of this Sylia pushes the overgrown cub off her and runs over to the ball.

For the next few hours Sylia’s advisors can do nothing but sit silently and watch as the pair play endlessly.  Eventually though Lethian begins to tire and lies down to rest.  Sylia however being a god hasn’t worn herself out even the slightest so she continues to bother Lethian until Kali puts a hand on her shoulder to stop her.

“Sylia he needs to rest he’s tired” says Kali.

Sylia looks at her confused.  “Why’s he tired?”

Kali giggles at her innocent question.  “Well I’d imagine it’s from all that playing you two did”

“But I’m not tired”

“Sylia you’re a god.  God’s don’t get tired”

“But creatures do so you’re going to have to let Lethian rest a while to get back his strength” says Linna.

“O-kay” groans Sylia.  She sits down next to Lethian and gazes up at the sky noticing it’s slowly starting to grow dark and stars are starting to appear.  “Hey Kali why’s the sky getting dark?”

Kali smiles.  “That’s how things work.  You see people are usually awake and active during the day when it’s bright.  At night they go to sleep to get back their energy for the next day”

“Oh, so should I go to sleep too?”

“Well that depends on you.  Gods don’t get tired so they don’t need to sleep however if you want you can sleep a bit”

Sylia shakes her head.  “No, I’ll stay awake then”

Sylia lies back against Lethian and silently watches the sky with fascination how the stars slowly appear overhead.  After a while she starts talking to Kali curiously asking her how things work and what their for.  Linna however is more or less left out of the conversation entirely as Kali takes on the role of a kind mother who nurtures and teaches Sylia.  Before long the time has come and gone and the sky slowly begins to brighten as morning comes.

“Why’s it getting bright again?” asks Sylia.

“Night times over and a new days about to begin” says Linna.

Sylia looks at the sky sadly.  “Awww but I wanted to look at the stars a bit more”

Kali smiles and puts a hand to Sylia’s forward.  Linna quickly takes notice and glares at her coldly.

“What are you teaching her now?” asks Linna.

Kali ignores her and after a moment she removes her hand as she finishes.  Sylia smiles brightly at her.  “Thank you”

Linna looks at her confused about her sudden expression of gratitude.  After a moment though it becomes evident why she said that.  Sylia raises her hand out flat in the air and tilts it to the left.  No sooner than she does the entire sky darkens turning back to night.  As the stars quickly start reappearing Sylia smiles happily at the sight.

Linna glares at her angrily.  “Sylia you can’t change day to night just because you want to see the stars”

“Why not?” asks Sylia.

“Because it will have a massive effect on everything around.  People won’t know the time or when to get up.  Plants won’t be able to get sunlight and animals will have no idea what’s going on”

“You make it sound like the whole worlds going to end” says Kali.  “It’s just a onetime thing and changing day to night for an hour or two will make no difference what so ever”

“It won’t?” asks Sylia.

“Of course not.  Linna’s just trying to ruin your fun”

Linna glares at her coldly.  “I am not.  It will have serious consequences on the surroundings”

Kali sighs.  “Sylia ignore her and just have fun looking at the stars but since it bothers her so much you’ll have to change it back in an hour okay?”

“Okay” says Sylia.

Sylia stares up at the sky watching the stars again.  Meanwhile Linna glares at Kali with a cold killer stare; Kali however just smirks at her in return.  Despite being against allowing Sylia to change the time of day to suit her leisure Linna holds her tongue not wanting to give Kali any further chances to conjure up something to make it seem like she’s the evil one.  An hour later Linna is busy pacing back and forth as she waits for the hour to end until she suddenly stops and turns her gaze on Kali and Sylia.

“You’ve had an hour to look at the stars now I think you better change it back” says Linna.

“Do I have to?” asks Sylia.

“I suppose you better after all you can’t leave it permanently dark” says Kali.  “Don’t worry though the stars will come out by themselves again before you know it then you can sit down and watch them again”

“Okay”

Sylia raises her hand out flat in the air and tilts it to the right.  The sky quickly brightens and the stars fade into the blue sky.  After several moments Lethian opens his eyes and yawns sleepily then sits up.  He looks around briefly then leans down and licks Sylia’s face making her giggle.  Sylia smiles happily and clutches the massive beast’s muzzle with her arms.

“Hi Lethian” says Sylia.

“You see Sylia Lethian didn’t know it was time to wake up until the sky was bright” says Linna.

Sylia looks up at her in surprise.  “He didn’t?”

Kali smirks.  “Maybe, but more likely he was just really tired so he kept sleeping”

Linna shoots her a quick glare.  “Either way now that he’s awake I think we better find him some breakfast”

“What’s breakfast?” asks Sylia.

“I’ll teach you”

Linna quickly teaches Sylia and as she removes her hand Sylia turns to Lethian with a smile.  He stares back at her with a giant goofy grin with his tongue hanging half out of his mouth.

“Let’s go to the village it’ll be easy to find him some food there” says Kali.

“Okay, come on Lethian” says Sylia.

Sylia takes a hold of the massive creatures paw and they quickly disappear.  All four of them reappear in the middle of the street in the village.  With almost every one of the villagers busy working on the temple there’s only a small handful of people wandering about the streets.  Even those people though are either young mothers looking after children or men running around grabbing supplies.  Regardless as Sylia and her giant creature appear they stop what they’re doing and stare at her silently.

“Let’s go get Lethian some nice healthy grain to eat” says Linna.

“Wolves don’t eat grain they eat meat” says Kali.

“Wolves can learn to eat grain”

“He’ll like meat a whole better though”

“If he likes meat better where can I find him some?” asks Sylia.

“Well you…” starts Kali.  She stops as Lethian wanders off toward a young girl around six years old who’s standing on the street watching them closely.  “Oh looks like he found some”

Lethian kneels down and sniffs her deeply for a moment then grabs a hold of her and lifts her up into the air.  Knowing what’s about to happen Linna turns deathly pale and quickly turns to Sylia.

“Quick Sylia stop Lethian have him put that girl down otherwise he might eat her” says Linna.

“Is that bad?” asks Sylia.

“Of course it is now stop him”

“You don’t have to stop him” says Kali.  “He’s just trying to have breakfast.  People are meat too you know”

“They are?” asks Sylia.

“Quick sto…” starts Linna she stops halfway through though as Lethian opens his mouth and rips the young girls head off.

“Too late” says Kali.

Linna watches with utter horror as blood drips from Lethian’s muzzle while the sound of bone and meat crunching emanates from his mouth.  Both Linna and the few town’s people watch in utter horror as the giant beast starts ripping the former little girl apart piece by piece, clothes and all.  As Lethian rips into the lower half of her body Linna turns away and holds a hand over her mouth looking as if she’s going to throw up.

Kali however watches with somewhat of a satisfied smile and Sylia just stares at him closely watching in fascination as he eats.  As he finishes off the last of the young girl he lets out a loud burp.  Having finished his meal he licks his lips clean of blood then plops down on the street with a big goofy grin and his tongue hanging half out.

“S-Sylia punish him” says Linna.  “We don’t want Lethian eating anymore poor innocent people.  Especially not children”

“Sylia don’t listen to her” says Kali.  “Lethian’s a wolf and wolves eat meat which comes from animals or people.  Besides poor Lethian won’t know what he’s done wrong he’s only a pup”

Linna glares at her angrily.  “He will.  Now punish him otherwise he’s going to do it again.  Eating people is very bad and he shouldn’t do it, ever”

Sylia shakes her head.  “No, I don’t want to hurt Lethian”

“Sylia you have to it’s the only way he’ll learn”

Sylia glares at her angrily.  “NO, I’m not going to hurt him”

Since the few villagers that are around are too busy looking at Lethian or crying over the loss of the poor girl they hardly notice the argument their young goddess is having with what appears to them as nothing.  Sylia disregarding Linna’s advice due to selfishly not wanting to hurt her huge pet walks over to Lethian and strokes his giant muzzle gently.

Lethian looks at her with his goofy grin then gives her a huge lick on the side of her face making her smile.  Linna watches in disgust and the villagers watch in fear as their god seemingly praises her creature for such a horrible act.

Unnoticeable to the human eye a small change happens in both Lethian and Sylia.  Lethian’s eyes tint a fraction red in color, his fur all over turns a fraction darker and his teeth sharpen ever so slightly.  All of these changes occur due to the bad act he committed and because he was praised for it by his owner.  Sylia on the other hand isn’t much better, her eyes tint a fraction red in color, her hair darkens slightly and so do her clothes.

Like Lethian these changes occurred because of the bad act she committed, encouraging bad nature in her creature.  Although the changes are unnoticeable to the human eye both Kali and Linna notice them.  Kali smiles happily at the change while Linna looks very displeased and maybe even slightly worried.

Kali walks past Linna flashing a quick smirk as she heads over to Sylia.  “Sylia I think Lethian might be a bit thirsty after his meal so why don’t we go get him some water?”.  Sylia nods her head slightly.  “There’s a lake nearby let’s go there”

Kali takes Sylia’s hand and leads her off ahead.  After a few steps Sylia stops and looks back at Lethian who’s still sitting on the street.

“Let’s go Lethian” says Sylia.

Lethian looks around a moment then realizing his mistress called him he gets up and walks after her.  As they walk through the streets the villagers nearby quickly back away making room for their goddess and her dangerous creature.  Lethian follows Sylia with a goofy grin plastered on his face until they come to a stop at a nearby lake which thanks to the rain Sylia made is almost at the point of overflowing.  Seeing the water Lethian walks over to it, kneels down and starts lapping it up while Sylia watches with a smile.

“I think once Lethian’s done we should go check and see how your temples doing” says Kali.

“Why?” says Linna.  “The villagers won’t be done with it yet”

Sylia glances between them.  “Well…we should probably make sure their building it, right?”

They both turn and stare at her in surprise at her intelligent statement.

Kali nods.  “Yeah that’s exactly right.  It’s no good if they aren’t building it.  You need it completed as soon as possible”

“How come my temple is so important?” asks Sylia.

“A temple is a place for you and Lethian to live.  It also holds many many important things and has many important functions.  Such as a map of the land marking out your influence and the influence of other gods.  The outer area of the temple is the main worship area where people dance and pray to increase your power to cast miracles.  It’s also where sacrifices occur to give you more power”

“What do you mean by power?”

“A god’s power isn’t limitless.  It’s limited by the amount of worshippers they have and the power of their belief in them.  Your power will slowly restore over time but having people pray to you or taking sacrifices will raise your power much much faster”

“Oh okay”

“Now why don’t we go check on the construction of your temple?”

Sylia smiles and nods then looks over at Lethian who’s sitting down with a goofy grin on his face and his tongue hanging out.  “Lethian come on”

Lethian quickly gets up and runs after her as she begins walking toward the temple.  After several minutes of walking through the streets they arrive at the site for her temple.  By now the entire framing is finished and the bottom is just starting to get built properly.

All around villagers are busy sawing wood, cutting marble, mapping things out and putting everything together.  When they notice Sylia and Lethian though they pause in what they’re doing and stop to look at her.  Sylia looks at their stares nervously not entirely sure what she should do until Kali whispers into her ear.

“I see the construction of my temple is coming along well.  If you can finish it by the day after tomorrow I’ll reward you all.  I’ll be back later to check on your progress”

Sylia turns around and begins walking off with Lethian following closely behind her.  The villagers begin talking amongst themselves for a moment before setting to work even quicker than before.  After several minutes of walking they come to a stop outside the town where a small wooden shack stands by a bunch of trees.

“I think it’s time you learn a few simple destruction miracles” says Kali.

Linna’s eyes widen in surprise.  “WHAT?  Are you out of your mind?  She’s far too young”

Kali glares at her coldly.  “And what if another god comes and tries to kill her?  She’ll be completely defenseless.  You think they’ll show her mercy just because she’s young?”

The fight quickly drains from Linna’s face and she goes deep in thought quickly realizing that Kali has a good point.

“What…what kind of miracles did you have in mind?” asks Linna.

Kali shakes her head.  “Nothing big just a few destruction miracles”

“What are destruction miracles?” asks Sylia.

Kali smiles at her.  “Destruction miracles are things that can kill or destroy others.  Their necessary for defense and war.  They also have some other practical uses too.  Here let me show you”.  Kali quickly teaches Sylia as she pulls her hand away she points over at a bunch of trees.  “Now why don’t you try casting a fireball at those trees over there?”

“Okay”

Linna’s gaze quickly falls to the nearby house.  “Wait, she might hit the house”

“I doubt her aims that bad” says Kali.

Sylia ignores their talking and stretches her hand out in front of her.  Flames begin flickering across her hand and a small ball made of fire begins to take form.  After a few moments once the ball of fire has grown to the size of a basketball she throws it at the trees.

Kali and Linna both stop what their saying and turn to watch.  The fireball flies through the air but instead of hitting the trees it flies towards the house and lands on the roof.  The fire quickly spreads across the roof and to the rest of the house.  Within moments the entire things on fire with heavy smoke pouring off it into the air.

After several moments the door flies open and an elderly man in his mid 40s rushes out and starts yelling and screaming.  He quickly runs around the side of the house, grabs a bucket and tries feebly to put out the massive fire with the small amount of water he has.  While the man tries to contend with the flames Linna turns and glares at Kali angrily.

“She won’t hit the house huh?” asks Linna.

“Wow, her aim really sucks” says Kali.  I guess she’s going to need a lot of practice”

“She can practice somewhere else”

“What would happen if I hit that man?” asks Sylia.

Linna’s eyes go wide and she turns to Sylia.  “He’d be killed of course”

Kali smirks evilly.  “Give it a try and see what happens”

Linna shakes her head.  “Don’t you’ll kill him.  How can you even consider doing something like that?”

“Oh come on its one person it’s not like she’s wiping out a nation”

Sylia thinks about it for several moments then out of curiosity she forms another fireball in her hand.  She watches the man carefully for a moment then hurls the fireball toward him.  This time unfortunately for the man her aim is dead on and he turns around just in time to have the fireball hit him right in the face.

He screams in agony as the searing heat begins burning the flesh on his face.  The flames quickly spread across his clothes to the rest of his body covering him entirely.  He runs around briefly before dropping to the ground and rolling on the grass in an attempt to put out the flames.  Unfortunately the flames are far too powerful and man quickly stops moving all together as he dies.

Once again Sylia’s appearance changes a fraction from her evil act.  Linna looks at her horrified and disgusted at what she did with a look as if she’ll burst into tears at any moment.  Kali on the other hand merely smiles seeming rather pleased with the results of Sylia’s actions.

“Your aim was dead on that time” says Kali.

“Sylia…that was a horrible thing you did” says Linna.  You can’t just blindly kill people.  Life is such a precious thing and it should be cherished”

“How come?” asks Sylia.

“Because…because…”

Kali smirks.  “Because you say so right?”

“That’s not it” screams Linna.

While Kali and Linna begin arguing again Sylia walks over to the burning corpse of the elderly man and looks over it curiously.  After several moments she reaches out and starts poking his body with a finger.

“How come he’s not moving?” asks Sylia.

Linna turns to Sylia and glares at her coldly then screams “Because he’s dead, because you killed him”

Sylia looks at her seeming confused.  “But what’s that mean?”

Kali smiles smugly.  “All it means is he’s dead.  When people are dead they can’t do anything, they can’t say anything.  Basically their not even in this world anymore.  It’s no great loss though”

“It’s not?” asks Sylia.

“Of course it is” screams Linna.

Kali smiles and shakes her head.  “No it’s not.  There’s so many people in this world that one person dying doesn’t change anything.  It’s like dropping a pebble into the ocean it just doesn’t matter”

“That’s it”

Linna trudges over to Sylia and presses her hand against her forehead.  Sylia’s face goes blank as vast knowledge of death, dying, loss and mourning starts filling her mind.  When Linna finally removes her hand Sylia collapses to her knees looking thoroughly scared.

“What the hell did you show her?” asks Kali.

Linna turns to Kali with a cold glare.  “I showed her EXACTLY what death is and the effect it has on people” growls Linna.

Kali takes Sylia in her arms; she holds her tightly and strokes her hair gently to comfort her.  “You poor thing, I’m betting Linna only showed you the bad side to it though.  Let me show you the good side”

As Kali feeds her knowledge of battles being won and evil people being put to death Sylia begins to calm down and cheer up slightly.

“Feel better now?” asks Kali.  Sylia nods slightly making Kali smile.  “Good”

“I hope you’ve learnt a valuable lesson” says Linna.  “Life is a very precious thing”

Sylia slowly raises her gaze to Linna.  “Can I, can I bring him and the girl back?”

Linna looks down at her sympathetically.  “No, you can’t.  Some other gods might be able to but you’re far too young and far too weak to do something like that”.  Sylia gets up and slowly starts walking off.  “Where are you going?”

“I want to be alone to think” says Sylia.

Sylia walks to the lake outside town and sits down on a rock watching the water ripple with the wind.  Kali and Linna stand a distance away watching her silently while Lethian lies resting near the water.

“Look what you did to her” says Kali.  “She’s miserable”

“Someone needed to teach her the value of life” says Linna.  “Maybe next time she’ll think twice before she acts so foolishly”

While the two of them argue Sylia sits watching the water silently.  Without any real concept of time due to not needing to sleep or eat the hours fly by.  Night quickly comes and before long the sun rises again yet she still sits staring at the water.  Eventually Lethian wanders over to her and licks her face.  She ignores him for the most part but gently rubs his muzzle as he whines softly trying to get her attention so he can cheer her up.

Hours later nightfall has come and the stars have begun to appear in the sky.  Lethian is lying sleeping nearby his mistress while Kali and Linna are both silently watching her from a distance.

“We need to do something she can’t keep moping like this for days” says Linna.

Kali glares at her.  “And whose fault is it that she’s like this?”

Linna glares right back at her.  “She needed to learn the value of life this would have happened sooner or later”

Suddenly a small boy around the age of six runs over to Sylia and leans in front of her to look at her face.

“Hey lady what are you doing out here looking so sad?” asks the boy.  “Everyone in town is getting ready to celebrate finishing the temple”

Sylia looks at the boy in surprise.  “The temple?”

The boy nods.  “Yeah everyone’s really excited to see what our gods going to give us for getting it finished early.  You’re coming to see right?”

Sylia smiles.  “You go ahead I’ll be there soon”

“Okay, bye lady”

The boy quickly runs off leaving Sylia sitting there alone.  After several moments she stands up and walks over to Kali and Linna with a sad expression.

“Are you okay?” asks Kali.

Sylia nods.  “Yeah, I’ve, I’ve been thinking.  As a god, my job is to help people isn’t it?”

Linna nods.  “Yes, yes it is.  I know you’re young and inexperienced but the fact is you have a responsibility”

Sylia nods then puts on a sad expression.  “The people are expecting a reward but I have no idea what to give them.  Did you have anything in mind when you had me say that?”

Kali goes into thought for a moment.  “Well, I was just thinking some alcohol and fireworks.  That should probably be enough to satisfy them.  After all you’ve already given them plenty of stuff”

“Can you teach me?”

Kali smiles and nods.  Over at the temple site the villagers are busy relaxing most of them are heavily exhausted from working for so long.  The temple itself is a massive white marble structure standing at almost 40ft tall with a large open area outside for people to pray and an altar for sacrifices or gifts.

Suddenly a bright white mist blankets the area around the temple and the villagers begin to glow in white light.  They look around at each other in surprise wondering what’s going on until they realize their strength is being restored and their wounds are being healed from the white mist.

As the mist begins to fade the clouds in the sky suddenly begin moving away leaving a clear view of the stars.  The night sky quickly lights up with brilliant flashes and explosions of light of all different colors.  Finally droplets of red liquid begin to fall from the cloudless sky.  It takes the villagers a moment to realize what the strange rain is but as they realize its wine they start grabbing cups and buckets to catch it in.

Suddenly Sylia appears at the steps of her temple in a flash of white particles with Lethian by her side.  Noticing her arrival everyone starts cheering at her happily.

Sylia smiles.  “Thank you for completing my temple.  Tonight I’d like you all to enjoy yourselves”

Sylia sits down on the steps of her temple with Lethian by her side.  Meanwhile the villagers start a fire and begin singing, dancing and drinking.  The party rages well into the night until people finally begin to grow tired and head back to their homes to rest.  As the last few leave Sylia gets up and heads into her temple with her two advisors following close by.

Lethian pokes his head in through the doorway to look inside then follows after Sylia.  As he walks inside the temple though his body begins to shrink so he can fit inside easier until he’s only 8ft tall.

Sylia turns around and stares at him in surprise.  “What happened to Lethian why’s he smaller?”

“It’s one of the powers of your temple” says Kali.  “Lethian’s body shrinks so he can fit inside easier.  Don’t worry when he walks back out he’ll be his proper size”

“Oh”

Sylia turns back around and looks at the temple carefully.  Inside towards the center is a massive stone circle encompassing a view of the island.  As Sylia walks over to it and gazes at it closely she quickly realizes it’s not actually a map but a view of the entire island from the air with people, animals and her influence all clearly visible on it.

She looks around the massive hall of the temple where several massive doors lead off into rooms but up the far end past the map of the island atop a set of stairs is a marble throne with white silk cushions.  Sitting around the throne are dozens and dozens of silk pillows making up a comfortable resting area.

“Did the villagers really build all this?” asks Sylia.

“Yes they built it all for you” says Linna.

“They did a pretty good job with this place” says Kali.

Suddenly the voices of hundreds of villagers of all ages begin to echo around Sylia as they all sit down and pray to her.  The voices ask for anything and everything, clothing, wealth, love, healing but most common of all to have a loved one brought back from the dead.

“What’s going on?” asks Sylia.  “Why can I hear so many voices?”

“It’s your followers” says Kali.  “Their all sitting down and praying to you asking for things they need or desire.  It’s one of a god’s abilities to hear their people’s prayers”

Linna smiles.  “Tomorrow you should start fulfilling some of their prayers”

“But, there’s so many of them” says Sylia.

“Relax you can do just a little at a time”

Sylia lowers her eyes sadly.  “So many of them though are asking for people to be brought back to life”

Linna and Kali look at each other then Linna speaks up.  “Try not to worry about that.  You can concentrate on the things you can do”

Sylia nods, walks over to her throne and lies back in the mass of pillows.  Lethian walks over to her and watches her for a moment before lying down beside her with his eyes closed.  As Sylia lies there she listens to the prayers of her followers.  After almost an hour the last of the voices finally fade as everyone finishes praying to her for the night.

Sylia sighs heavily.  “They finally stopped”

“You’ll get used to it after a while” says Linna.

“I don’t even know anything about half of the things they asked me for”

Linna smiles.  “Don’t worry we’ll teach you”

In the morning as Sylia lies beside her throne faint voices can be heard.  Curious about what’s going on she gets up and walks outside with her advisors following close by.  As she does she receives a massive shock as she finds almost the entire village gathered around her temple waiting for her to appear.

“Wow what a crowd” says Kali.

“They must be all here to have their prayers answered” says Linna.

Seeing Sylia the people start yelling loudly, begging her to answer their prayers.  Sylia looks around at crowd of people fearfully not really sure what she should do.  Kali is about to go to aid when Linna grabs her and pulls her back.

“Let her do this on her own” says Linna.

Kali looks at her a moment then nods silently.

Sylia stares at her followers silently for a while then takes a deep breath and as she begins speaking the people go silent to listen to her.  “I’ve, I’ve heard your prayers.  All of them.  I, I can’t do everything you’ve asked of me though.  I especially can’t bring anyone back from the dead.  I’m afraid I’m just not powerful enough.  However if you believe in me I’ll try to answer some of your other prayers.  For starters healing those of you that are sick or injured”

Sick and injured people quickly make their way to the front of the crowd with the help of their family and friends.  Sylia quickly goes to work healing them a few at a time.  White light envelopes the people’s bodies and their wounds rapidly begin healing over.  As they each get their wounds fully treated they thank her sincerely before disappearing in the crowd.

As Sylia finishes healing the last person she looks out over the crowd of villagers which has only slightly reduced in size.  Villagers begin approaching her one by one and asking for small meaningless things.  Others ask for love or advice but not knowing how to handle such things Sylia has no choice but to turn a good majority of them down.  Eventually a young woman around twenty with a heavy figure and ghastly looks with massive scars and boils covering her body approaches Sylia.

“Goddess, my name is Eliza I was, I was hoping you could make me beautiful.  Like you” asks the woman.

Sylia smiles and gestures her hand at the woman.  Almost immediately the scars and boils begin to fade, her body begins to tone up losing the excess fat and her bones shift around.  As the changes finish she’s left as a beautiful buxom blond with a dainty super model figure with large heavy breasts.  The woman looks over her hands and skin, tears form in her eyes and after several moments she bows down.

“Thank you, thank you so much.  Thank you”

Sylia smiles and gestures a hand for the next person.  A married couple of a woman and a man in their mid 30s approaches her both looking rather hopeful and nervous.

The man clears his throat and begins to speak.  “We, umm, my wife and I have wanted a child for a long time but, she can’t seem to get pregnant.  Is there any way you, you could…”

“Could you give us a child?  Could you make me pregnant?” asks the woman finishing off her husband’s sentence.

Sylia smiles and nods then gestures her hand at the woman.  Her belly suddenly starts to swell, she holds her hands over it and falls to her kneels.  Her belly continues to swell growing larger and larger until she looks almost nine months pregnant.

“Your child should be born in a few days” says Sylia.

The woman looks at her in shock.  “This wasn’t exactly what we wanted”

Sylia looks at her confused.  “You said you wanted a child”

The woman’s husband quickly cuts her off before she can speak again.  “It’s, it’s fine.  T-Thank you, thank you”

The man quickly helps his wife to her feet and they slowly walk off.  As they disappear into the crowd Sylia puts a hand to her forehead with a rather fatigued look on her face.  Her advisors who are standing nearby quickly pick up on it.

“Sylia you better tell the rest of the people to come back tomorrow” says Linna.  “It looks like your getting low on power.  You need to rest”

Sylia looks out in front of her where dozens of people are still gathered around her.  “I’m sorry.  The rest of you will have to come back tomorrow.  I, I need to rest”

As Sylia turns away and begins to walk back into her temple the people look shocked and disheartened.  Slowly though the crowd begins to thin as people head back to their work or homes.  Inside her temple Sylia lies down on her mass of pillows.

“Why do I feel so weird?” asks Sylia.  “You said gods don’t get tired”

“Gods don’t get tired but they do get fatigued as they begin to run low on power” says Linna.  “You should feel better in no more than an hour though”

Kali sighs and shakes her head.  “The only reason you’re like this is because you tried to help so many of those stupid people”

“Maybe so, but I’m proud of you.  You did very well today”

After resting for a while Sylia gets up and walks outside her temple to find all the people gone with Lethian resting nearby.  Seeing him she smiles, runs over to him and strokes his head gently.

“Lethian, let’s go play”

Hearing her voice he quickly raises his head with a big goofy grin and stands up.  As Sylia runs off to a clear area nearby Lethian races after her happily with his tail wagging.  The pair play for several hours chasing each other around and playing with a ball until the sky turns dark.

Finally worn out from playing so long Lethian lies down on the ground to go to sleep.  Mere minutes after he does hundreds of voices from the villagers begin to echo around Sylia as they all sit down and pray to her once again.

Sylia hangs her head down sadly.  “Not again, and there’s just as many as last time”

“I guess you’ll have another busy day tomorrow” says Linna.

For the next week Sylia repeats the day’s events emerging in the morning from her temple to grant peoples prayers until she finally grows weak from using too much power.  In the evening she runs around playing with Lethian until he tires out.

On the eighth day Sylia is lying on her pillows with Lethian by her side when she begins to hear the villagers talking outside her temple.  She gives a rather annoyed look and sits up looking toward the door of the temple.

“AGAIN?” says Sylia.  “I’ve been giving them what they want every day for the past week.  What could they possibly have left to ask for?”

Kali sighs and shakes her head.  “You just don’t get it do you?  People will never be satisfied with what they have.  When they get something new or finally fulfill something they wanted they get a new goal.  It’s an endless cycle and it’s going to continue on forever.  The best idea is to just ignore them and give them help when YOU want to”

Linna glares at Kali.  “She can’t just ignore them.  Her follows are outside wanting her to answer their prayers”

“Like they’ve been doing for the past week.  If you want something better and less boring to do why don’t we go to a nice clear area and I’ll start teaching you the basics of destruction miracles”

“Sounds good to me” says Sylia.

Linna’s eyes widen in surprise at her words.  “Sylia, you can’t just run off on them”

Sylia ignores her and gestures her hand.  A moment later they all appear in a nice clear grassy field with a handful of trees.  Noticing the change of scenery Lethian raises his head and yawns sleepily then sits up to watch his mistress.  Kali walks over to Sylia and places a hand on her forehead with a smile.

“Get ready I’m going to give you a whole heap of knowledge” says Kali.

Sylia tenses up slightly as Kali begins to feed her knowledge and the two remain motionless for several minutes before Kali finally removes her hand.

“There we go” says Kali.

“Just what the hell did you teach her?” asks Linna.  “There’s no way a couple destruction miracles could have taken that long”

Kali smirks at her.  “I just taught her a nice big heap of destruction miracles”

Linna glares at her coldly.  “Why you…”

Kali ignores her completely and begins speaking.  “Now let’s start practicing shall we?  You need to learn how to use the miracles properly and how to aim them”

For the next hour Sylia practices casting all sorts of different destruction miracles in various ways as well as practicing on her aim.  Sylia forms a large fireball in her hands and concentrates on a tree out in the distance.  Lethian walks over to her and watches her curiously as she throws the large fireball lighting up the tree and the grass around it.

Lethian looks at his hands then puts them together and gestures them as if trying to throw a fireball.  Seeing nothing happened he tries it again before looking at his hands and whimpering.

Kali smiles.  “Looks like someone else is eager to learn.  Sylia why don’t you teach him how to cast the fire miracle?”

Sylia looks at her in confusion.  “How am I supposed to do that?”

“All you need to do to show Lethian how to cast the miracle is by casting it yourself.  After seeing you do it a few times he’ll figure out how to do it himself”

Sylia’s face lights up.  “Really?”

“Hold on” growls Linna.  “He’s far too young to be taught destruction miracles he could seriously hurt someone”

Kali rolls her eyes.  “Don’t you ever get tired of complaining?”

Sylia ignores Linna and looks up at Lethian with a smiling face.  “Lethian watch my hands okay?”

The giant cub gives her a goofy grin and nods his head.  Sylia puts her hands together and slowly begins forming a fireball.  After it takes shape and increases in size enough she hurls it ahead at the smoldering tree.  Lethian watches the flames burning for a moment before putting his hands together and trying himself.  A small spark of flame flickers around his hands but after several moments it quickly sputters out.  Lethian looks down at his hands and whimpers again.

Sylia smiles happily.  “It’s okay Lethian watch me again”

Sylia quickly shows Lethian again and this time when he tries it for himself he manages to form a small golf ball sized ball of flames.  For the next few hours the two of them practice miracles together until they both become fairly skilled in casting several of them.  Finally tiring of their practice Sylia heads back toward the town while Lethian lies down to rest.  After walking along the streets for several minutes Sylia comes to area where a large crowd has began gathering together.

“What’s with the crowd?” asks Kali.

Linna shakes her head.  “I don’t know, why don’t we go see?”

Together they run over to the crowd and Sylia tries to get a view between them to see what their looking at.  After several moments she manages to squeeze into the front and finds herself looking at the young woman Eliza she made beautiful a while back.

“She’s so beautiful now, she’s even more beautiful than our god” says a man.

A woman next to him quickly whispers to him.  “You shouldn’t say things like that you’ll anger her”

Kali smirks.  “You heard him, he thinks that mortal bitch you fixed up to make beautiful is even more beautiful than you”

Linna turns and glares at her angrily.  “That’s not what he meant” says Linna.

“He was comparing you, a GOD to one of these ugly raggy mortal women and saying she’s more beautiful than you.  Are you gonna stand here and take that?”

“I’m telling you that’s not what he meant”

Sylia doesn’t really seem to be listening to the two of them arguing, instead her gaze in focused on Eliza as she listens to the comments the crowd is giving her.  As they continue to lavish her with affection and others begin comparing her to Sylia, Sylia starts to grow annoyed.  She clenches her fist angrily as she watches them with cold killer eyes.

Suddenly without warning she raises her hand, a brilliant white jet of lighting shoots out and hits the man who first compared her to Sylia.  He stands in his place seizing as he’s zapped to death by a million volts of electricity.  After several moments he slowly collapses to the ground charred completely black with heavy smoke pouring off his body.  The people around him back away in fear as they look over his body.

Still not satisfied Sylia gestures her hand at Eliza who quickly ages and has her beauty melt away.  Half her hair falls out and the rest turns grey.  Large wrinkles, scars and freckles appear on her face and all around the rest of her body making her look like an 80 year old woman.

As Eliza realizes what happened she stares at her body in shock for several moments before collapsing to the ground in tears while screaming.  As Sylia begins walking off with a rather angry expression still on her face her body changes slightly to reflect her evil act.

“Sylia that was a horrible thing to do” says Linna.

“Horrible?” says Kali.  “They deserved it, it serves them right for comparing a god to a mortal and insulting her”

“It was just a misunderstanding”

Sylia ignores their chatter and heads back to her temple to rest.  Later that night she’s sitting at the overview of the island in her temple watching the people go about their business as they settle down for the night.  Suddenly a young woman and a man catch her attention.  The two of them are in a back alleyway hidden between the shops.  The man has her forced against the wall and is busy ripping her clothes off as she screams in tears and struggles to get free of him.

Sylia watches them a moment then looks over at her advisors.  “Hey guys, what are these two doing?”

Linna and Kali rush over to her and gaze down at the land where she’s looking.  Linna quickly raises a hand to her mouth in shock at seeing the sight.

“Oh no, quick you have to help her he’s going to rape her” says Linna.

Sylia stares at her in confusion and tilts her head to the side.  “Rape?  What’s that mean?”

Kali smiles.  “It means he’s about to fuck her brains out.  I guess it’s probably time you get taught about sex”

Linna turns and glares at her.  “It’s far too early and this is not the time.  Sylia help that woman”

Kali sighs.  “I guess you better do as she says after all you don’t want to allow that kind of behavior”

Sylia stares at the couple for a moment then reaches her hand down toward them.  She gently grasps the man in her hand and flings him away tossing him across the street into the side of a building.  The man slams face first into the stone wall splitting his skull and splattering blood across it.

Seeing what happened Linna stares at Sylia with a worried expression.  “S-Sylia, that was a little too rough”

Kali smiles.  “That was just perfect.  He won’t be bothering her again”

The woman who was being attacked stares at the man lying dead on the ground silently.  Her gaze quickly turns to the night sky where she catches a small glimpse of Sylia’s face overhead.  The woman quickly puts her hands together in prayer and bows her head.

“Thank you goddess.  Thank you so much”

Sylia smiles down at the woman and turns to her advisors with a curious expression.  “So, what’s sex?”

Linna sighs and shakes her head.

Kali on the other hand puts an arm around Sylia with a smile.  “I’ll teach you all about it”.  Several moments Kali removes her hand from Sylia’s forehead.

Sylia stares at her with an odd look.  “That’s so disgusting”

Kali smiles broadly then suddenly bursts into laughter.  “You’ll get into it when you get older trust me”

Linna shakes her head.  “Anyway you should probably keep a watch over your people tonight to make sure nothing else like that happens.  You don’t want to encourage that behavior”

Kali nods.  “Yeah I agree.  I think you should put a firm hold on crime in the city and punish them accordingly”

Linna turns and glares at her.  “By killing them right?”

Kali smiles.  “Actually I was thinking sacrifices but that works too”

For the next few months Sylia watches over her people slowly growing more annoyed as time drags on.  As Kali said the prayers never decrease and people continue to pester her endlessly.  Violent crimes erupt throughout the nights but no matter how many Sylia kills or punishes or how many examples she makes out of them they continue to happen.

Sylia grows more mature learning volumes of information watching the people and studying them.  But with each passing day watching the people she grows more bitter and more annoyed by them until it gets to the point where she couldn’t care less what happens to them anymore.

One day late at night she rushes out of her temple hearing the prayers and screams of her followers.  As she comes outside she’s greeted with the sight of the village aflame and people running around screaming.  Overhead lightning crackles loudly in the sky and large flaming rocks rain down upon the village.

Toward the center of it all is a massive hundred foot black unicorn creature that’s busy ripping buildings out from their foundations.  Like Lethian it stands on its hind legs, its body is covered in heavy bulging muscles.  Its fur is as black as night with a long flowing mane.  Its eyes glow red with fire and small spurts of flame pour from its nostrils as it breaths.

Sylia stares at the village in utter shock barely able to comprehend what she’s seeing.  “What’s going on?”

“Another god” says Kali.

Linna shakes her head in disbelief.  “We’re doomed”

Suddenly the ground near the temple starts glowing with bright light.  After several moments the light changes into a massive purple vortex which begins sucking in everything around it.  Seeing it Kali’s eyes light up and she points at it.

“Look a vortex, let’s just get the hell out of here while we still can” says Kali.

Sylia turns back toward the temple and yells out.  “Lethian come here boy.  Quickly”

Lethian rushes out of the temple toward his mistress and together Sylia, Lethian and her advisors rush toward the vortex.  The four of them are quickly pulled inside and after several moments it closes over disappearing without a trace.
