I'm not worried about Nikki experimenting with drugs occasionally. I've done it too although I was older than her at the time. I'm more worried about it turning into something serious because there is a very thin line between experimenting and addiction. I've never seen Nikki do it in front of me, but I don't think I would know if she took it or not. She has mood swings every so often but they are common with teenagers. It doesn't mean she's taking drugs, at least not often. I would like to talk to her about it but I don't want to sound like I'm lecturing her. Maybe I should just ask her what she thinks about it first.
"Pin the Kiss on the Dyke" could be the name for our game. We could call it "Pin the Kiss on the Girl" too. I'm always thinking about making up different games for her, but she is slowly growing out of playing kissing games and some old games that we used to play when she was younger now annoy her. I miss the times when we played with honey. That was my favorite game but she doesn't like it anymore and I don't want to push it on her. Most of the time we only cuddle in bed now.
I've seen boys looking at Nikki and people will sometimes say she's a good looking girl. I tell her that all the time but she thinks I do that only because I love her. Teenage girls are notorious for having low self-confidence but I try to encourage her as often as I can.
Nikki and I are still vegetarians but we eat fish sometimes. It's not that hard to be a vegetarian once you get used to it and I don't think I could go back because the longer I'm vegetarian the less I like meat. It's a little harder for Nikki because her parent's are not vegetarians so her mom has to make special meals for her but she doesn't eat much at all so it's not a big deal. Her favorite snack is an apple. She's just a tall and skinny little girl.
I took some time off from work during August. It's almost coming to an end now but I had a great summer. While I was working, Nikki's been going out with friends and she went away with her mom and dad for a week to the coast. She is still going to soccer and she had a competition in kung fu in which she came up in finals for girls her age. She was very proud of that and I was there with her mom and dad to watch her. Then for a few days she stayed at her friend's home and as soon as I went on vacation she moved in with me. Her parents allowed her to stay with me for the whole time so she brought a backpack and a sleeping bag with her and her CDs and games. The first few days we did nothing at all but stayed in bed and fooled around and slept until late. One day we went to the hairdresser and had our hair fixed. She had it cut shorter, just down to her neck and she dyed a few tresses in red. She said it looks cool so I had to agree with her or I wouldn't be cool like her.
Two days later Monika called. She wanted to know what we were doing because she was free to travel and wanted to get away from the city. Her girlfriend couldn't go because they wouldn't let her take time off from work so she wanted to go somewhere with us instead. I said we didn't have any plans and didn't want to go anywhere far so we all agreed to go camping for a week or two. We packed our bags and drove south all the way to [...] one morning. It's a long stretch of beach and it has a camping ground and it's great for cycling and swimming. As soon as we arrived Nikki ran off into the sea like she was a little kid. It was funny to watch because the sea was cold and she didn't know that so she screamed when a wave splashed her.
We had an old tent with us in which we slept. It wasn't too bad but I don't like mosquitos at night. We've discovered if we build a fire close to the tent then the smoke will keep them away but they still start annoying us early in the morning after the fire dies off. Nikki and I slept together. Monika thought it was cute and she made jokes about us. She's so different from Ella. While Nikki was swimming or playing, she would asked me to tell her more about us and so I told her everything from the time I met Nikki. It was all new to her but she didn't make a huge deal of it. She said Nikki didn't look any worse off for it and was actually more mature and intelligent than her peers. We talked a lot and became even better friends. During our camping trip Nikki and I didn't have to hide anything from her and it felt good for a change to be free around other people. I asked her once what she thinks about Nikki and she said she's pretty and sexy and could understand why I loved her. Then she told me how she had a crash on her female teacher when she was younger but she never told her and nothing happened.
We stayed at [...] for a week, just swimming and hiking and even horseback riding. We rented bicycles sometimes and went exploring around the area. There are nice little towns and villages and sometimes we went there to eat which was a good change from our own cooking at the camp site. Then for a couple of days it rained and we couldn't do much but stay inside the tent. Luckily it wasn't cold because it was wet all around us but then it stopped raining and everything dried up pretty soon after that. After a week of camping we moved to a different camp. It's located right next to a long sandy beach and there's nothing around it but fields and trees. We would walk along the beach for hours and there would be no one else around. Sometimes Nikki and I would go alone in the evening to the beach and lie down and look at the stars. It was so quiet we could only hear crickets in the grass behind us and then we would kiss until it became really late. We both loved kissing on the beach but it's messy because sand gets into our hair. Other times we'd all go fishing. We tried to catch fish for our lunch and dinner so we didn't have to buy food from the market but we weren't always lucky. Our favorite time was when we went to gather dry wildflowers in the field. We collected some really pretty and colorful ones and tied them all in bunches. They smell so nice! Nikki took some home and the rest I took to my home and put them around rooms.
Nikki was sick for two days when we were at the camp. Her tummy hurt and I think she ate something that wasn't good for her. Monika and I didn't get sick so we looked after her until she got better.
We all have a nice tan now after being in the sun all day for two weeks. My legs hurt when we returned home from all the walking, hiking and cycling we did. Now me and Nikki are working on the garden because the plants dried up while we where away. They haven't died but they need watering and cleaning. Monika said we should visit her one day after we settle down. She invited us to dinner and some of her fiends are coming too. Before we parted I asked her too keep to herself about me and Nikki and she promised to do that. She and Nikki get along pretty well and they like each other. She loves playing games with Nikki and they both love playing tricks on me. Once we went hiking and it was getting dark. I hadn't noticed they had hid from me and I thought I had lost myself and became scared. I started calling them and walked back to the camp when they jumped in front of me.
There is some kind of party on the street and we might have a look. We still have to go to the market and buy some groceries today. We are making some vegetarian recipes that we haven't done before and it's fun experimenting with Nikki. She always gets some wild ideas, like combining tofu with chocolate. It actually tastes good but I never thought of it myself because I haven't seen tofu as a desert before. She likes helping me in the kitchen and we both like cooking. Our favorite is making pizza. Washing dishes afterwards is a little less easier to make her do but when we do it together it's not too bad. In the summer when it's warm we'll always end up splashing each other with water and the entire kitchen will get wet but it dries up soon so I don't mind.
It's Tuesday today and Nikki's mom called to ask her how she's doing. I talked to her for a while on the phone and she said we could visit Nikki's grandparents for a few days if we wanted.
