My name is Helen
Chapman Schenning, I am 49, and I live in Tennessee. When I'm not working as a
freelance paralegal, or annoying people by serving summons and subpoenas, I
write. My writing includes two novels: Neutral Zone and
Flights of Angels.
Flights of Angels has been published by Publishamerica, but you can read
Neutral Zone (the story of a chain of serial killings across the Southern
States) by clicking on the appropriate chapter links:

I have also
written some short stories loosely based on my experiences as a paralegal,
together with a tale of country life in Kentucky, and a romantic tale about a
paralegal who falls in love. Affectionating
and Indignities
focus on messy divorce cases, Help Wanted
pictures the frustrations incompetence can create in a busy legal office, Sparkles is a
tale of a man who bought a stallion and caught an unpleasant cold. The Magic Man tells of a woman who meets a man on the
Internet and finds true love.
But I am not
just a tough legal woman: I have also written a number of teddybear stories for
my grandchildren, and you will find four of these at Billy Bear, B.B. Bear Gets a Ride,
What's under the
bed and YaYa.
More recently I have added some stories about a family of Deermice (Daniel, Jessica, and Matthew), my dog
Cookie (Cookie,
Cookie
takes a bath, Cookie and
the duckling), a pig named Meghan, and a
hummingbird named Ruby.
I have also written a set of 12 fairytales titled Tara and the Fairy Kingdom:
The Gazing
Ball, Bran The
Brownie, Pixies
in the Garden, The Dragons'
Nest, The
Children of Danu, The Hufflet, The King's Pookah,
The
Pillywiggin, The
Druid, The
Gathering of the Faeries, The Changeling,
The
Apprentices, The Golden Leprechaun, and Kendra's Visit.
More will follow.
