"It's no secret how much Eddie, Jenny, Brad, and Kathy love offshore fishing. They have been very successful in several tournaments. They have also infected our kids with the bug.
"Jack, Tom, Kim, and Sally have enjoyed fishing the Great Lakes in our home state of Michigan, but now that they've had a taste of the fishing down here I don't think they will be satisfied with twenty pound salmon. We could buy the kids a boat and they could go out and learn, but I have a better idea. At least I think its better.
"Marc and I would like to co-sponsor the Lady Guinevere fishing team. We will provide additional support so the kids can enter more tournaments. Harry has also agreed to co-sponsor the team.
"Well, how do you feel about my scatter-brain idea?" Don said as he looked at Eddie.
Eddie couldn't talk for a moment. He looked at his sister and shrugged his shoulders. Jenny smiled and nodded. When Eddie looked at Kathy and Brad, they nodded too.
"Well, it looks like we have a new fishing team. I would like to invite all of you to the house so we can have a small celebration. I have a feeling our kids have a few things to talk about-so do their parents," Don said.
The group left the restaurant and followed Don to the house. In the car, Jack, Tom, Kim, and Sally babbled about the chance to fish with their friends.
"Dad, did you know about this?" Eddie asked.
"Me, I had no idea what Don and Marc were up to," Harry fibbed.
When they arrived at the house, Don fiddled with his keys until everyone was out of their car. He glanced at Marc and smiled.
"Darn it, I don't think I brought the right keys. We'll have to use the backdoor," Don said.
The group followed Don into the back yard. The lights were out and it was hard to see. When everyone was on the patio, Don cleared his throat.
"Oh, I almost forgot. I do have another surprise," Don said.
The lights came on and illuminated the large yard. Against the seawall sat the seventy-five foot fishing boat Eddie, Jenny, Eddie, and Kathy helped design.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I present the new Lady Guinevere," Don said.
All of the teens' mouths dropped as they stared at the boat. Floodlights lit the boat, making it stand out against the darkness.
"You did know, you had to," Eddie said.
"Your dad didn't know about my idea until last Monday, Eddie. I had to let him and Mr. Waters in on my plan because of a few legal matters and the fact it included their children. He knew he was building the boat for us, but he thought it was for Jack, Tom, Kim, and Sally. You only knew that the owner wanted the best fishing boat he could get.
"You have done that. The four of you have helped designed a boat you'd want. That was important to me. I don't know a thing about fishing or fishing boats. When I asked your parents to allow you to design the boat, it was because I had confidence in your ability," Don said.
"What's going to happen to our boat?" Jenny asked.
"We renamed it. It's now the 'Lady Guinevere Too.' We're going to keep her so your mother, Mr. and Mrs. Waters, and I will have a boat to use," Harry said.
"Look, this is up to you kids. If you don't think it will work, just let us know," Don said.
Eddie chucked and said, "Come on, guys, let me show you around the new Lady Guinevere."
The group walked to the boat. When they climbed aboard, they saw two men waiting in the salon. Eddie, Jenny, Brad, Kathy, and Molly recognized one of the men from the tackle shop. He was the Shimano representative. The other man introduced himself as Marlin Parker, the owner of Marlin Magic Lures, one of the largest lure manufactures in the country.
"Shimano and Marlin Magic Lures are also sponsors," Don said. "They will keep you in tackle and pay for the entrance fees for the tournaments you fish."
"When Andy called me and told me about this opportunity, I jumped at the chance to help sponsor your team. If we don't attract young people, our wonderful sport will die. I also hope to sell my lures. If you kids ever get to Hawaii, look me up," Mr. Parker said.
"You flew here from Hawaii?" Jenny said.
"I sure did. Like I said, this is exciting for me and my company," Mr. Parker said. "I'm going to be in the Bahamas next week to see you kids fish."
The teens took a tour of the boat. When they went below to see the staterooms, Jack started to chuckle. "Looks like this will be your stateroom, Eddie. You and your girlfriends will need the queen size bed."
After inspecting the boat, the teens went to the house. When they went in, Don gathered them in the living room.
"Okay, we also felt the team needed new threads. I had April work with Mrs. Shockley to come up with these," Don said as he pulled a cover off a rack.
The teens looked at the shirts, slacks, shorts and skirts hanging on the rack. Jenny pulled one of the shirts off the rack and held it up. Embroidered on the back was the name of the fishing team and the sponsors. Over the left breast pocket, the name of the boat and the name of the angler were embroidered in script.
"Here, Molly, this is yours," Jenny said as she handed Molly the white shirt.
Molly took the shirt and looked at her name. Her eyes filled with tears as she realized she was indeed part of the team. Moving through the crowd, Molly found her mom.
"Look, Mom," Molly said as she showed her the shirt.
Laura felt her throat tighten as she ran her fingertips over her daughter's name. She smiled at Molly and nodded. Molly saw her mother's tears and they hugged.
"Well, are you going to try them on? I have to know if we need to make changes," Ellen said.
The teens didn't bother to find privacy. They began stripping and trying on the new clothes. Joel's surprise showed in his face. Don put his hand on Joel's shoulder and said, "You'll get used to it if you hang around this crowd very long."
"They're not shy, are they?" Joel said.
"Not in the least," Don replied with a chuckle.
The nine member fishing team modeled the new outfits. The girls showed off in their short skirts. Finally, things settled down. The group moved to the patio where Don and Marc served cocktails.
"Can we use the boat when Jack, Sally, Tom, and Kim are in Michigan?" Eddie asked.
"Yes, of course you can. The boat belongs to the team," Don said.
"Where are we going to keep her, Dad? Tomiko is going to be on the seawall soon," Jack said.
"We have a slip at the marina where we keep the other boat. We're going to keep her there," Harry said.
"What about the tackle on our other boat?" Jenny said.
"You can take what you need and leave the rest. Who knows, we might want to go fishing someday," Harry said.
"Mr. Stone has a few things to go over with you kids," Don said. "Give him a few minutes, please."
Jerry handed Eddie a folder. "These are the papers for the boat and the fishing team. I need all of you to sign these papers and record your social security numbers. There is a credit card and the bank information.
"In order for you parents to afford this, the boat will have to be available for charter occasionally. Jeri will captain it until you're old enough to get your licenses. Most of the time, the charters will be in conjunction with a charter on Tomiko.
"You have to keep accurate logs of all your trips. Jeri has set up a log on the computer on the boat, but you should also keep it in a logbook. Your sponsors will deposit funds in the account so you have money to fish. You kids can use some of your winnings, but the majority of the money will have to go into the boat's account. Any questions?" Jerry said.
No one said anything.
"Good. Joel will help with any legal matters. He works in my office down here. If you have any questions, see him. Other than that have fun with your new boat," Jerry said. "I'll make sure you all get a copy of the documents."
The teens lined up and signed the papers where Jerry showed them.
"Can we take her out tomorrow?" Eddie said.
"As long as you feel you're ready. If not, take Jeri with you," Don said.
"I'm ready. That boat is easy to handle," Eddie said. "Besides, it's supposed to be calm tomorrow."
Jack pulled Eddie aside. "Do you think we should invite everyone out tomorrow? We can fish hard on Sunday."
Eddie smiled and nodded. He and Jack gathered the rest of the crew and posed the idea to them. Everyone thought the idea was great.
"Excuse me," Eddie said loudly. "Could I have everyone's attention for a moment?"
The nine teens stood in a straight line, facing the adults. When it was quiet, Eddie looked to Jack and nodded.
"First, we all want to thank all of you. I think I can speak for the team when I say we really appreciate this. Next, we would like to invite all of you to join us for the maiden voyage of the new Lady Guinevere. We are taking her out tomorrow and would like all of you to be with us," Jack said.
"What time are we leaving?" Mrs. Waters asked.
"We'll leave at ten," Eddie said.
"How about if we go out for a ride and then you kids can bring us back so you can fish in the afternoon?" Harry said.
"Whatever you want to do is fine with us," Eddie said.
"Can we put our things on the new boat?" Jenny asked.
Don laughed and said, "It's your boat, do what you'd like."
"We should go get what we need from the other boat too," Kathy said.
"Is there anything we need for tomorrow?" Brad said.
"I have some personal items I'd like to have," Kathy said.
"You can go if you want to," Harry said. "Just don't be too late."
"Do you guys want to come with us?" Jenny asked Kim.
"Why don't you go? Sally and I will start washing our new things," Kim said.
"Okay, we'll be back in a jiffy," Jenny said.
Eddie, Jenny, Brad, Kathy, and Molly left. Kim and Sally took the new clothes to the laundry room and started the two washing machines.
"Can you believe what just happened?" Brad said as Eddie drove to the Marina.
"Not really, I'm still a little numb," Eddie said.
"Your friends are really nice," Molly said. "You're right; you'd never know they had money."
"Did you hear Jack when he said we should have the stateroom with the queen size bed? I kind of thought they would want the big staterooms," Kathy said.
"It doesn't surprise me. They aren't like that," Jenny said. "I think this is going to be a blast. I'm going to miss our boat, but I'll get over it."
"We're not losing our boat, Jen. We're gaining another one. We can still take the forty-four out," Eddie said.
"Yeah right, like we're going to do that," Jenny said with a giggle. "I wish I would have known we were designing the boat for us though."
"Why, would we have done anything different?" Brad said.
"Well no, but we might have," Jenny said.
"We did a good job. I wouldn't change a thing right now. That may change after we've fished on her, but any changes would be minimal," Eddie said.
When they got to the boat, they went aboard. Jenny took a few plastic bags from a drawer and they went below to gather their things.
"Are we going to take our old outfits?" Kathy asked.
"I think we should. We can let our friends wear them if they fish with us," Jenny replied.
A half hour later, they were on their way back to the house. Brad and Eddie took the kites and some of the other tackle they knew they would use.
At the house, the adults sat on the patio. They gathered close so they could talk. Don and Marc made sure everyone's drink was fresh.
"I'd like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart," Laura Durham said. "Molly is as happy as I've ever seen her. It is very generous of you to include her."
"No problem, Laura. She looked like she was happy," Harry said.
"How many tournaments do you think the kids will fish in?" Laura asked.
Andy Nester moved closer. "We have them scheduled to fish a half dozen major tournaments this summer. Mr. Parker and I want the exposure."
"Will they have to travel much?" Laura said.
"They will be gone for long weekends most of the time," Marlin Parker said.
"You're welcome to come with us, Laura. We'll be attending most of the tournaments," Don said.
"That would be nice, but I can't afford to do that," Laura said.
"Yes you can, I'll go with you," Joel said. "I've never been to a fishing tournament."
"Why don't the two of you go with us next weekend," Marge said.
"I don't think we can get a room or a flight on short notice," Joel said.
"No problem. We have a plane. If nothing else, you can stay in one of our rooms," Anne said.
"Um, I have to work next week," Laura said trying to figure out a way to go.
"We're leaving on Friday. We can leave after you get out of work," Marc said. "There isn't an excuse in the world that we can't find a way around."
"I'll talk it over with Molly. If she doesn't mind, I'll go. Thank you," Laura said.
Eddie and the rest of the teens came back into the yard. They carried the things for the boat in their arms. As they walked past the adults, Marge said, "Hey, Molly, do you mind if your mom and Joel go to the Bahamas with us next weekend?"
Molly spun on her heels. "Really? You want to go, Mom?"
"If you don't mind, Honey."
"Heck no! I'd love it if you could go too," Molly said.
Laura smiled. Molly giggled and caught up with her friends. "My mom is going to go to the Bahamas with us," Molly said as she stepped onboard.
"That's cool, Sweetie," Kathy said.
Jack and Tom were sitting on the boat when Eddie and the others got back. They helped carry the things below so they could be stowed.
"Which staterooms do you guys want?" Jack asked. He grinned. "I know which one Eddie, Kathy, and Molly want."
"Brad and I will take this one," Jenny said as she stepped into one of the smaller rooms. "All we need is a bed and a hanging locker."
"I agree. Why don't we keep the other big room open for guests? We can use the head if no one is staying in it," Tom said.
Molly giggled and said, "We could take one of the small rooms too. Eddie can sleep on the upper berth."
Kathy put her arm around Molly and said, "Works for me."
"You know, nothing says we can't change around. It isn't like we're going to be living on the boat," Jenny said. "Kathy, Molly, let's go see if we can help Kim and Sally."
"I hope you guys can teach Tom and me how to operate the boat. I've never driven anything this big," Jack said.
"By the time we get back from the Bahamas you two will be pros. This thing is very easy to dock. That's the hardest part of operating a boat," Eddie said.
"Did you know your dads were doing this?" Brad said.
"No, we didn't know anything about this boat. Our dads can be weird," Tom said. "They can be full of surprised too."
"No shit! I thought I was hearing things when he said this boat was ours-the teams," Eddie said. "Do you know how great it's going to be to have Shimano and Marlin Magic Lures as sponsors? They can get us into tournaments we would have to qualify to enter."
"Is Shimano good equipment? I mean, we're not using it just because they're our sponsor, are we?" Tom asked.
"No, we bought the Shimano gear before we knew anything about the sponsorships. I realize we were set up now, but that doesn't matter. I would have selected it anyway," Eddie said. "Most of the lures we use are Marlin Magic."
"Okay, I have an important question. How do you get away with having two girlfriends, Eddie?" Jack asked.
Once the boys stopped laughing; Eddie and Brad told Tom and Jack about the weekend on the boat.
"How the hell do you keep them both happy?" Tom said.
"So far it's been easy. We haven't really been having sex. I wanted to make sure it was going to work because we liked each other first. Kathy and Molly will be keeping each other happy too," Eddie said.
"Can we go up to the bridge? I'd like to check out the electronics," Jack said.
"Hell yes, let's go," Brad said.
"Need any help?" Jenny asked as she walked into the laundry room with Kathy and Molly.
"My mom and her boyfriend are going to the Bahamas next week," Molly said and then she giggled. "I don't think my mom has been anywhere before."
"I wonder if she is going to fly down on Dad's plane," Kim said.
"Your dad has a plane too?" Kathy said.
"They don't own the planes. They are part of a group that leases them. We flew down in one," Sally said. "It was fun."
Kathy, Jenny, and Molly helped take the things out of the dryer and put them on hangers.
"Two more loads and we'll have all the new uniforms washed," Sally said. "I still have to hand wash my new undies. I should do that tonight."
Sally began filling one of the tubs with cold water. She added the detergent they used to wash delicate items and began removing the tags from the new panties and bras. Kim helped her, tossing the things into the tub.
"We have to make up a menu for our trip," Jenny said. "We can go shopping next week."
"You should have your mom make some of her sweet rolls, Molly. They're the best," Kathy said.
"I'll ask her."
The girls finished the laundry. Kim and Sally hung their underwear to dry and then the five girls took the uniforms to the boat. They hung them in the lockers and went to the bridge to see what the guys were doing.
Jack and Tom listened while Brad and Eddie told them about the radar units. They had already gone over the chart plotter and the autopilot. Sally walked up behind Jack and put her arms around him.
"What are you guys doing?" Sally asked.
"Brad and Eddie are teaching us about the electronics. This boat is equipped with some great gear," Jack said.
Sally let go of Jack and walked to the sliding glass door that led to the sundeck. She stepped outside and then called the other girls.
"This will be great for tanning, won't it?" Sally said.
"It will be a good place to watch behind the boat too," Kim added.
"You should see the view from the tower thingy. It's great," Molly said.
"It's called a tuna tower," Jenny said. "You can drive the boat from up there."
"I like the flying bridge on the other boat. It was nice being able to sit in the sun when we were underway," Sally said.
"I know, but we decided to have an enclosed bridge. It'll be better in bad weather," Jenny said. "There's always the sundeck or the bow if you want to be in the sun."
"We're going down to the cockpit," Eddie said as he and the other guys walked past the girls.
The group went down the steps to the cockpit. Eddie turned on the spreader lights so he and Brad could show the others the layout. When Brad opened one of the lockers, he found a duffle bag he didn't recognize. The side of the bag had Marlin Magic Lures printed on it.
Brad opened the bag and found it was full of lures and teasers. "Take a look at this. Mr. Parker left us a present," Brad said.
The boys sorted though the lures. They put them away in the drawers and said they had to remember to thank Mr. Parker for them.
Sally sat in the fighting chair. She giggled and asked about the chair.
"It's a fighting chair. You sit in it when you fight a big fish," Brad said.
Sally scooted to the edge and leaned back. "I can think of another use for the chair. It can be a fucking chair too." Everyone laughed at what Sally said.
"I think you have a one track mind, Sally," Kim said.
"Yeah, like you weren't thinking the same thing!"
Kim giggled and stuck out her tongue.
"Don't stick that out unless you intend to use it," Sally said. She giggled and spread her legs. "I just thought of another use for this cool chair."
Jenny laughed and kicked the gimbal. "It even has a dildo holder."
The teens cut up. They made jokes about the chair and its alternate uses. Eddie finally shut off the lights and they left the boat.
"Is everything okay on the boat?" Don asked.
"Yes, everything is great, Mr. Graham," Eddie said.
Eddie went over to where Mr. Parker was sitting and thanked him for the lures.
"You're welcome, Eddie. I hope you kids land a new record on one of them. You'll be fishing the twenty-pound class, won't you?" Mr. Parker said.
"Yes, we like that weight class," Eddie said.
"The new rods will work well in the twenty-pound class. The reels have a new drag system to reduce break-offs," Andy said. "When we come out with new lines, I'll see that you get them."
"What do we do with the rods and reels we have now when we replace them?" Jack asked.
"They're yours. You can do whatever you want with them," Andy said. "A couple of the other boats we sponsor sell them."
"Can we donate them to the youth program at our club? There are kids that are lacking good equipment," Jenny said.
"I think that is a great idea. Hell, if you kids are going to do that, I'll make sure you always have the latest and greatest equipment. The more of our product people try, the more they'll buy," Andy said.
The party began breaking up at eleven. After saying goodbye, everyone left. Jack, Sally, Kim and Tom sat with their parents for a while. They talked about the new boat and the fun they planned to have.
"Dad, why did you do this?" Jack said. "Don't get me wrong, I think it's great, but it seems like it's a bit over the top."
"Well, Jack, it's like this. We are in the position to help other people. None of us planned it, but we are. Uncle Marc, Aunt Anne, Mom, and I decided to do what we could. It appears we will be spending a lot of time in Florida. I know you kids like fishing so I decided to buy a boat. I was at the boatyard and Harry showed Uncle Mark and me the hull. The rest is history as they say.
"Just don't let things go to your head. Nothing replaces friendship. You kids can have a lot of fun if you keep that in mind. The boat is just a means, not the end."
"We talked about that earlier today, Dad. We know it would be easy for us to become spoiled brats. I don't think that's going to happen, we have great teachers," Jack said.
Don smiled. "You kids should get to bed. It's been a long day for you guys."
Jack, Tom, Sally, and Kim told their parents, and the guests, goodnight. They went to the house and began to get ready for bed. They met in the living room to sit and relax for a few minutes. Jack sat on one of the couches. Sally sat on his lap and put her arms around his neck. Kim and Tom snuggled on the other couch.
"What do you think about the Molly, Eddie, and Kathy thing?" Kim said.
"I think it's cool if they're happy," Jack said.
"They're cute together. Kathy is so bold and Molly is very shy. They complement each other," Sally said.
Jack got up and took Sally's hand. He told his sister and cousin goodnight and walked to the bedroom. Sally stood by the side of the bed while Jack removed her tee shirt. He pulled her panties down her legs and kissed her mons. Jack removed his boxers and they climbed into the big bed.
Sally came into Jack's arms. They kissed, tenderly at first, but the passion quickly grew. When Jack entered her, Sally was ready and willing. He began to move slowly as he kissed Sally's lips.
"I love you, Sally," Jack said.
She kissed him. "I love you too." Sally knew what Jack wanted. He wanted to make love, not just fuck her. She smiled, knowing she was giving him what he wanted.
In the next room, Tom and Kim pawed at each other. Their sex began fast and furious. Kim flipped around so she could suck Tom's penis. He pulled her down so he could lick her labia and nibble her clit. They rolled around, driving each other to great sexual heights.
Sally pulled her legs back so Jack could penetrate her deeper. She held her legs with both hands, pulling her knees to her breasts. Jack supported himself with his hands next to her shoulders. He pushed in, paused and then pulled back. Each time he buried his member in her vagina, Sally let out a muffled grunt.
Tom rolled Kim on her back. He began sliding his penis in and out of her mouth, hitting the back of her throat. He knew how much Kim could handle in that position and was careful not to go too deep. Tom pushed two fingers into Kim's vagina. She moaned around his penis and tried to take more of it. She gagged, but didn't care. Tom sucked her clit, sending jolts of pleasure through her body.
Jack pulled Sally's legs over his shoulders. He picked up his pace, causing his testicles to slap against her bottom. Sally held his sides, pulling him into her. When Jack's orgasm began to build, he started to screw Sally harder. She urged him on with her words. "Yes, Jack, fuck me, fuck me, Baby." Sally repeated over and over. Her vagina contracted as her climax ripped through her. Jack began to come, his semen flooding Sally's vagina.
Kim groaned around Tom's penis. She wanted him to come in her mouth so she could taste him. Tom's fingers, tongue, and mouth brought on several orgasms. Kim's moaning sent vibrations through Tom. He felt his penis swell and backed off. Kim wrapped her hand around his shaft and milked him into her mouth. His semen coated her tongue and ran down her throat. She swallowed quickly so none would escape. When they were both sated, Tom rolled onto his side. They moved until their heads rested on the pillows and began to kiss.
Sally felt Jack's penis throbbing in her. She humped up against him, gripping his member with her vaginal muscles. She knew he would slip out soon, but she wanted to prolong the feeling of being full as long as she could. Jack lowered himself on top of Sally. He found her lips with his and kissed her. After a few moments, he rolled on his back. Sally scrambled down so she could take his penis in her mouth. She loved the feeling of his slick member against her tongue. Sally also loved feeling him turn flaccid. Sometimes Jack would maintain a semi erection, but not that night. He was completely spent.
Moving up so she could snuggle against Jack, Sally sighed. "I love you so much, Jack."
"Mmmm, I love you too, Sweetie. Why don't you move up here so I can lick you?"
"I will if you tell me to, but I'd rather fall asleep feeling your come inside me."
"Okay. Goodnight," Jack said.
Sally kissed him and snuggled closer.
"Night, Baby," Kim said to Tom.
"Goodnight. This has been a hell of a day, hasn't it?"
"Yes it has. It was a perfect ending too." Kim licked her lips. "Mmmm, I love sucking your cock."
"You're tasty too, Kim. We should do that more often."
Kim giggled and began to move down Tom's body. He laughed and pulled her up. "Sorry, I'm finished for a while, Baby. We're going to have to wait."
Kim rolled on her side. Tom spooned against her back, reached over her and held one of her breasts.
A few minutes later, the four teens were sound asleep.
* * * *
"Wake up," Jenny said as she shook Kim's shoulder.
Kim groaned and swung her arm in the air above her.
"Time to get up, Cutie. Time's a wasting," Jenny said
"What do you want?" Kim said as she rolled on her back. She opened her eyes, saw Jenny and groaned. "What are you doing here? What time is it?"
"It's eight thirty, time to rise and shine," Jenny said in a sing-song voice. "Kathy is waking up Sally and Jack."
"I thought we were going out at ten," Kim said as she sat up.
Jenny giggled and said, "Nice tits."
"Thanks, what time is it?" Kim asked again.
"Eight thirty. We want to check things out to make sure everything is ready. Eddie, Brad and Molly are in the house," Jenny said.
Tom woke up and rubbed his eyes. When he saw Jenny, he sat up, pulling the sheet over his middle.
"We have to get up, Baby. This mean chick won't leave me alone," Kim said with a giggle.
"I'll be in the other house. See you in a few," Jenny said as she left the room.
Kathy woke Jack. He smiled and said, "Good morning, Kathy."
"Morning, Jack. We're all in the main house. We want to check things out before we leave," Kathy said.
Jack reached over and shook Sally. She rolled over, saw Kathy and giggled. "Hi, want to join us?"
Kathy laughed and shook her head. "Not right now. I'll see you guys in the main house. Molly's mom sent Danish."
Kathy left the room. Jack and Sally got up and began getting ready for the day. They showered together and then dried themselves.
"What am I wearing today, Lover?" Sally asked.
"Baby, wear whatever you'd like. It may be cool at first."
"I'm going to wear shorts and a tube-top. I'll wear sweat pants and a hoodie until it warms up-okay?"
"That sounds great, Honey."
Jack slipped on slacks and a pullover shirt. He grabbed his sweatshirt in case he needed it. Kim and Tom came into the room and said they were ready.
Jack, Tom, Kim, and Sally went the main house. They went into the kitchen and greeted their friends. Don sat at the table, taking a bite of a roll.
Sally found cups and filled them with coffee. She gave Jack his coffee and then she handed Tom and Kim theirs.
"You better get one of these rolls before they're gone, Son. They're great!" Don said.
Jack picked up a roll and took a bite. He nodded while he chewed. "These are great. Where did you get them?"
"Molly's mom made them this morning. She can bake up a storm," Eddie said.
"Remind me to thank her," Jack said.
"How did you like the dinner last night, Molly?" Sally asked.
"That was the best food I think I've ever had in a restaurant. I loved watching the chefs cooking it," Molly said.
"Yoshi, the guy in the middle, is going to be the chef on the yacht," Sally said. "Just wait until you come out with us. We're going to eat like pigs." Sally giggled.
"I have to watch my weight," Molly said.
"That's cool. You'll have to start working out," Sally said.
"Where are you planning to take us today?" Don asked.
"Where ever you want to go," Eddie said. "We can stay in the ICW or take the boat outside. Why don't we play it by ear? If it's rough, we'll stay in the waterway."
"We didn't have much chance to talk last night. I want to say you guys did a great job on the boat. I'm very impressed," Don said.
"Thanks, it was fun for us," Kathy said.
"I have a proposition for you. One of the sports stations has agreed to film you during the tournament. They said they will pay you if you let them," Don said.
"Why do they want to do that?" Jenny asked.
"It will be a pilot for a series. They want to do something with offshore fishing. If the pilot goes well, they will want to do several more."
"How much are they willing to pay, Dad?" Jack asked.
"They agreed to ten thousand for the pilot. If they want to continue, we will have to negotiate a contract," Don said.
"When do they want to know?" Eddie asked.
"In a day or two. They have to send in a crew if you agree to the offer," Don said.
"Have you talked to our parents, Mr. Graham?" Brad said.
"Yes, we all agree it's up to you guys. It's your fishing team and boat," Don said.
"Why do you keep saying it's our boat?" Jenny asked. "It's really yours, isn't it?"
"The charter company owns the boat. The fishing team leases it for a dollar a year. Because you guys are the fishing team, it's your boat to use as you see fit. There are clauses about doing anything illegal, but I don't think we have to worry about that," Don said.
"We'll talk about it today and let you know. Is that okay with you guys?" Kim said. The rest of the team nodded and agreed.
Marge and Anne came into the kitchen. They got their coffee and said hi to everyone.
"Let's go to the boat," Eddie said. "We need to figure out the lines and things."
The teens left the house and headed for the boat. They walked along the seawall, checking out how Jeri had it secured. They went onboard and the guys went up to the bridge while the girls went to the galley to see what they needed.
Eddie talked Jack through the checklist. Jack started the engines and then the generators. Brad switched on the plasma monitor and showed Jack and Tom the video system.
"There are cameras in the engine room." Brad pushed a button and four images of the engine room came up on the screen. "There are two cameras forward and two aft. We can also watch the cockpit from here," Brad said.
"Let's go down to the cockpit. There are a couple of neat things there too. Before we go, start the radar and the chart plotter," Eddie said.
Tom turned on the electronics. The four boys went down the inner steps to the salon. Molly and Sally were putting bottles of water and soda in the refrigerator.
"We have to thank Jeri and April. They have coffee, juice and other stuff on the boat for us," Sally said.
"That's cool," Tom said.
The guys went to the cockpit. Eddie opened a protective panel and showed Jack and Tom the two fifteen inch plasma monitors it concealed. Pushing a few buttons, the fore and aft cameras came up on one of the screens. Eddie pushed another button and the radar image displayed on the other screen. He opened a hatch and showed Jack and Tom a set of controls.
"You can operate the boat from here. The joystick steers it. These are the transmissions, and these are the throttles. The red and green buttons run the bow thruster. The red button pushes the bow to port. The green button pushes the bow to starboard. These controls and the monitors are duplicated on the tuna tower," Eddie said. "There's a wheel on the tower instead of a joystick. The whole boat is drive-by-wire except for the flying bridge. There are mechanical controls there, as well as electronic."
"We have radios on the tower, here, and two on the bridge," Brad said. There is a twelve, and a seventy-two mile radar system. There is a GPS to back up the chart plotter."
"Did you have a chance to see the crew quarters last night?" Eddie asked.
"No, where are they? I was in a state of shock last night," Jack said.
Eddie and Brad took Jack and Tom down into the crew quarters. Jack and Tom looked around and nodded. "This is nice. It wouldn't be bad sleeping down here," Tom said.
"We don't really need crew quarters, but Dad said it would add value to the boat," Eddie said.
"There's a television and everything down here," Jack said. He opened a door. "A washer and dryer too, that's cool. Why is there a dinette?"
"I guess a lot of owners don't allow the crew to eat in the main salon. That's why there's a microwave, a small refrigerator and a two burner stove down here," Eddie said.
The guys went up to the cockpit. They went into the salon so Eddie could show them the rod holders built into the headliner. The rod holders would hold twenty-four rods, and they were full.
"There's coffee ready if you guys want some," Sally said.
The guys went to the counter. Sally put out four mugs with a picture of the boat and the name on them. She filled them with coffee and asked if anyone needed cream or sugar.
Molly, Kim, Kathy, and Jenny came into the salon. They carried bags of food and a few other things. The girls put the stuff away and then came out from behind counter.
"That's a cool necklace, Sally," Molly said.
"Thanks, Jack gave it to me," Sally said.
Jenny looked closer and said, "Where is the clasp?"
"There isn't one. I can't take it off," Sally said.
"Why not?" Molly said.
Sally looked at Jack. He shrugged his shoulders. "Jack doesn't want me to take it off," Sally said.
"I'm sorry, I don't understand," Molly said.
Eddie put his arm around Molly's waist. "Honey, it isn't a necklace-it's a collar."
"I'm Jack's sub. That's why I wear the collar," Sally said as she raised her head. "He owns me, Molly."
"What is that supposed to mean?" Molly asked. "I don't get it."
"It's a lifestyle, Molly. Sally gave herself to Jack and he takes care of her," Kathy said. "I've read about the D/s lifestyle, but I never met anyone that practiced it."
"Sally isn't a slave and I don't abuse her. I love her and I will do anything it takes to protect her," Jack said.
Sally smiled at Molly and said, "I'll tell you all about it later."
"When do you think we can stay on the boat overnight?" Molly asked.
"How about tonight, Hun? We should make sure things are okay before we head for the Bahamas," Kathy said. "We need to make sure the showers and heads work properly and the beds are comfortable."
"That's pretty lame, Kathy," Brad said. "It works for me though."
The teen laughed and started making jokes about the beds. They heard some yell out side, asking for permission to come aboard.
Jack went to the cockpit and invited the group of adults that were waiting aboard.
Jeri and April were with the other adults. When Jeri got into the salon, she told Eddie and Brad she was there as an observer.
Brad, Jack, and Tom went out to untie the lines and disconnect the power. Brad showed Jack and Tom how the self-winding reels for the power and water worked. Once the boat was free, the boys jumped on.
Eddie eased the boat away from the seawall. Jeri stayed back on the bridge, watching Eddie.
Marge, Anne, Sarah, Ellen, and Laura stood in the galley. Laura checked the oven and made a comment that it was nicer than hers at home was. Kathy and Molly came into the salon. Molly went over to her mom and giggled.
"Isn't this great, Mom?" Molly said.
"Yes it is, Honey."
"Want to see our stateroom?" Molly said.
Laura smiled and nodded. Molly grabbed Joel's hand and led him and her mom below. Molly took her mom and Joel to the stateroom she would share with Eddie and Kathy. Opening the door, Molly let them in.
"Look in here, Mom. This hanging locker, that's what they call a closet on a boat, is bigger than the one in my room," Molly said.
"Who are you sharing the room with, Molly?" Joel asked.
Molly looked at her mom. Laura smiled and said, "Kathy and Eddie if I had to guess."
Giggling, Molly nodded her head. "Look at the head, Joel. It's huge!"
Joel stepped into the head and checked it out. When he came out, he said, "Is that real marble?"
"Yeah, cool isn't it?" Molly replied.
Molly showed her mom the cedar lined drawers. She told her mom that the other girls kept clothes on the boat and asked if she could.
"I don't see why not. I guess you're going to be spending some time on the boat this summer," Laura said.
Molly, Joel, and Laura went up to the salon. Molly told her mom she'd see her later and went up to the bridge.
"You don't mind that Molly is going to be sleeping with Eddie?" Joel asked.
"No, not at all, Honey. Molly is going to do what she's going to do. If I told her she couldn't, she would anyway and then she'd feel guilty about it," Laura said. "It used to bother me, but after talking to the other moms, I realized there was little I could do."
"It just sounds strange to me," Joel said.
"How old was the first girl you banged in the backseat of your dad's car? How old were you?" Laura said with a grin.
"Um, I take the fifth," Joel said with a chuckle.
"That's what I thought. We do it and then tell our kids they can't. I'm not doing that anymore," Laura said. "I want to go up on the sundeck. This is the first time I've been on a boat and I want to see."
Laura and Joel walked out on the sundeck. They sat next to each other in two of the white padded deckchairs. While they looked at the homes along the waterway, Laura pointed them out to Joel. Jeri and April came out and sat with Laura and Joel.
"This is great, isn't it?" Laura said.
"Yes, this boat is great. She is very seaworthy," Jeri said.
"That makes me feel better. My daughter, Molly, is going to be fishing with the other kids," Laura said.
"She'll have a good time, they are wonderful kids. April and I work for Jack, Tom, Kim, and Sally. I'm the captain of their yacht, Tomiko. April is the head steward."
"I saw the yacht, it's beautiful. Do you like working for the kids? They seem so young," Laura said.
"They are very mature for their age. So are Harry and Jack Waters' kids. All of them are fun. As far as working for the teenagers, they are the best bosses we've ever had. They know what they don't know. Some people can be real know-it-alls, assholes," Jeri said.
"Their parents must have a lot of input," Joel said.
"Don and Marc handle the finances, but the teens make most of the decisions. They have done most things right so far," Jeri said.
"I think working on a yacht would be adventurous," Laura said.
"At times it is. I think that it will be great when the family is on her, but you never know about charter clients. They can be over demanding at times. We just have to grin and bear it," April said.
"How large will your crew be?" Laura asked. "From what I saw, it would take quite a few people to take care of the yacht."
"We don't know yet. We'll have me as the captain and April as the head steward. Yoshi, the man that cooked for us at the restaurant last night, is the chef. We will probably have two stewards and two or three deck hands," Jeri said.
"How many guests will the yacht handle," Joel asked.
"Tomiko has a master stateroom and a VIP stateroom on the main deck. It also has four guest staterooms below. Each stateroom has its own head with a shower. The master has a whirlpool tub that will fit two. The yacht is designed to handle twelve guests and ten crew members," Jeri said.
"That's quite a ratio of crew to guests," Joel said.
"Yes, but when someone pays as much as they do for a charter they expect it. Think of a floating five-star hotel," April said.
Jeri glanced at the shoreline. "Looks like they're taking her outside this morning."
Jeri told Laura and Joel that going outside referred to taking the boat out on the ocean. "If you want to see in front of the boat, we can go on the bow," Jeri said.
Laura said she would like to be able to see better, or at least where they were going instead of where they'd been. Jeri and April led Laura and Joel down to the cockpit and then forward to the bow. They sat on the padded horseshoe shaped seats.
"These pads pull out for sunning," Jeri said and then she giggled. "This was Jenny and Kathy's idea."
Laura laughed and said, "Now why doesn't that surprise me? Those two girls are something else."
"Yes, but I think in a good way. They will bend over backwards to help someone else. That's why I think the fishing team is going to work. Kim and Sally are the same way. All of them are generous to a fault. Did you know that Jenny, Kathy, Brad, and Eddie started a youth division at their fishing club? Not only theirs, but they have helped other clubs do the same thing."
Laura shook her head. "I know they welcomed Molly with open arms."
April mentioned she felt chilled. Jeri scooted close and out her arm around April's shoulders. Laura smiled at the two women.
On the bridge, Jack stood at the helm. Eddie, Brad, and Tom stood next to him, watching Jack.
"I've been thinking about fishing," Jack said. "No one wants to go fishing anymore than I do, but don't you guys think we should spend as much time as we can practicing? Tom, Kim, Sally, and I need to be comfortable setting the lines and things like that."
"You're right, Jack. Molly needs practice too," Eddie said. "The rules for this tournament, like most of them, require the angler to fight the fish to the end. No one can touch the rod. We can touch the leader when the fish is close, but nothing else."
"We should talk to the girls and see what they think," Brad said.
Jack turned the helm over to Tom. He drove for a while, making a few gentle turns to see how the boat handled. After an hour, Eddie told Tom to head back to port.
When they arrived at the house, Eddie used the bow thruster to ease the boat against the seawall. Tom, Jack, and Brad tended to the lines, securing the boat. As the adults left the boat, they all thanked the teens.
Once all of the adults had left, the teens gathered in the salon. Kim and Sally passed out sodas to everyone that wanted one.
"We were talking earlier and Jack brought up a good point. We need to get some practice before the tournament," Eddie said.
"Can't we practice while we're fishing?" Sally said.
"Yes, but we should really work on getting the lines out and back in. We need to learn how the outriggers work and you guys need practice changing lures and teasers. When we were learning, we used to set the lines, clear them, change lures, and then reset them," Eddie said.
"You guys know a lot more about it than we do. We'll do what you think is best," Kim said.
"I'd like to learn to tie some of the knots I've seen you guys tie," Molly said. "I want to be able to help with the ropes when we dock and stuff."
"When we're on the boat, rope is called line," Eddie said. "I think we all need to need to do everything, including operating the boat."
"We need to find out how to deploy the tender too," Brad said. "We might need it and I don't know how to operate the davits or the winches."
"Good thought, Brad. Want me to go get Jeri so she can show us?" Tom said.
"Sure, we may as well get started," Eddie said.
While Tom ran up to the house, the rest of the group moved out to the cockpit. Eddie pulled a spare dock line out of a locker and began showing Molly, Kim, and Sally a few of the common knots they used to secure a boat to pilings and piers.
Jeri and Tom returned and the lessons began.
